Due to the drastic temperature changes over the past few days, some of the places we had planned to visit had already passed their peak for autumn leaves. However, we were able to enjoy the fall foliage without getting caught in crowds by visiting alternative locations recommended by our driver. He was also considerate of my condition, being nine months pregnant, which allowed me to spend the day comfortably and safely. There were cushions provided in the car as well.
Our driver, Mr. Suzuki, was very knowledgeable and explained everything well, making for a very enjoyable seven hours. Additionally, due to the vehicle allocation on that day, we were upgraded to a beautiful Alphard, which was extremely comfortable. I would love to visit again during cherry blossom season.

During the busy autumn foliage season, I wanted to explore efficiently, so I used a chartered taxi for 7 hours.
The places I wanted to visit were Kiyomizu-dera, Rokuharamitsu-ji, Zenrin-ji, Ginkaku-ji, Kinkaku-ji, and Myoshin-ji. They even made a lunch reservation for me along the way, and not only was the movement smooth, but I was also very satisfied with the tour thanks to our driver Matsui, a former bus guide, who provided commentary during the trip.

We started at Shoren-in Temple's Shogunzuka Daibutai, which is difficult to access without a car, and then visited the Keage Incline, Neziri Manpo, Nanzen-ji Temple's main gate, and Ninenzaka. We went sightseeing with two children and four adults. We made a reservation because we were anxious about taking the bus. It was quite crowded, but it was great that we could get close by taxi. I've been to Kyoto many times before, but it was very interesting to hear about spots I didn't know and their explanations. Since we had a one-year-old and a two-year-old, we were unsure about where to go, but thanks to the guidance we received, we were able to enjoy our sightseeing with peace of mind.

I visited Kyoto with my 2-year-old son. Since it was a holiday, everywhere was crowded. Although we made reservations without a plan, they suggested a zoo and an aquarium that would be enjoyable for a 2-year-old, while also considering my desire to do some sightseeing. I traveled to Kyoto with my elderly parents and younger sister, making it a group of four. We wanted to visit Enryaku-ji, Ohara, and Shimogamo Shrine, so we requested a sightseeing taxi for seven hours. Our driver, Matsui, was knowledgeable and had excellent conversational skills. Most importantly, he was very considerate towards my father, who has difficulty walking. We invited him to join us for lunch, but he said, "Since this is a family trip, I’ll let you enjoy it privately," and mentioned that he had brought his own lunch. While I believe the compatibility with the driver plays a role, I highly recommend Matsui. I think you can enjoy sightseeing that exceeds the price you pay.
