The cold wasn't too harsh, but the yudofu enjoyed in the chilly air was delicious. The location was also great, with beautiful views of the autumn leaves.

It was the autumn foliage season, but it was very quiet. I think it's a hidden gem. The foliage was partial, but it was a lovely garden. However, I thought that because I booked through Veltra, I would be able to access certain places, but it seems that wasn't the case. It might be fine to just pay the admission fee on-site.

After checking in at Hanazono Kaikan, I visited Myoshinji Temple. Myoshinji is a collection of small temples, and I enjoyed a leisurely two-hour visit, appreciating the autumn leaves. The "Yudofu with Kyoto Bamboo Basket Meal" after the visit was very delicious and truly representative of Kyoto.

After strolling around Arashiyama early in the morning, I took the JR train to Hanazono Station and walked to Myoshinji from there. I mistakenly headed to Myoshinji thinking there would be a meal at the temple. They were very accommodating. The weather was great after the rain, and the autumn leaves in the garden were stunning. I was able to enjoy a luxurious moment in the tranquility.
嵐山を朝一に散策した後、JRで花園駅へ向かいそこから歩いて妙心寺へ。お寺での会食と勘違いし妙心寺に向かいました。臨機応変に対応していただきました。雨上がりの好天。お庭の紅葉も最高で静寂の中、贅沢なひとときを過ごすことができました。

I used this service for the first time. On November 29th, I was lucky to visit on one of the best days when the autumn leaves were just starting to fall. I enjoyed a compact experience of Kyoto's beautiful gardens, which were well-maintained. The meal was delicious, featuring a kaiseki menu with yudofu, which was perfect for the cold season.

I had heard great things about the autumn leaves viewing in Kaohsiung, but I was worried about which bus to take and whether I could have a peaceful lunch amidst the crowds. However, by making a reservation here, I was able to enjoy a warm and delicious meal in a charming atmosphere, and I had a wonderful holiday taking in the autumn colors at my leisure.
The main dish was yudofu (hot tofu), and the dipping sauce was very tasty. However, I thought it would have been nice to have a little bit of meat, like tsukune (chicken meatballs) or chicken, instead of just tofu, so I rated it four stars. If I upgrade, will there be meat? It was also disappointing that I couldn't confirm the menu in advance.

It was my first visit to Kyoto in over 20 years. With the autumn leaves in full bloom and the expected influx of tourists post-COVID, I found myself wondering how to make the most of my limited time of just five and a half hours. While researching, I came across this activity.
The lunch with yudofu provided by Hanagokoro was plentiful and offered great value for money. It felt like a bit of a luxurious lunch, and I ended up ordering a non-alcoholic beer as well. The matcha served while enjoying the autumn leaves in the garden of Daikōin was also delicious. The tea seating arrangement in the garden was beautiful.
I was unsure how to navigate Kyoto, but I’m glad I chose this option. The grounds of Myoshinji had only a few visitors. I enjoyed the autumn leaves in the dry landscape garden of Taizoin, and the Great Kitchen and the dragon by Tanyu were also impressive. I found myself captivated by the roofs, gates, walls, and tiles of the temples that were not open to the public. Thank you for a wonderful time.
20年以上ぶりの京都でした。紅葉真っ盛りの、コロナ明けのインバウンドの状態も予想され しかも日帰りでフリー時間5時間半という制約の中で どうしようか？と迷いながら事前に調べている中で こちらのアクティビティを見つけました。
花ごころさんの湯豆腐付きランチは、品数も多くコスパいいと思います。ちょっと贅沢なランチって感じ。つい ノンアルビールも頼んでしまいました。
セットになっている大法院のお庭の紅葉をみながらのお抹茶も美味しかったです。お庭のお茶席風のしつらえも綺麗でした。
京都でどう動くのがいいか迷いましたが、こちらを選んで良かったと思いました。妙心寺の境内は人通りもちらほらでした。付随する退蔵院の枯山水のお庭の紅葉をみたり、大庫裏や探幽の龍も良かった。
公開されていないどのお寺も屋根も門も塀も瓦も ついつい見とれてしまいました。素敵な時間をありがとうございました。

The shuttle bus comes to Uzumasa Tenjingawa Station on the Kyoto City Subway, making it convenient for trips to Takao. We arrived at Momijiya on a Friday weekend without any traffic. After arriving, we were guided directly to the photo spot by the river, and we immediately enjoyed a yudofu set meal. Before the food was brought out, they came to take drink orders, so I believe additional orders can be made for an extra charge (I only ordered tea). The meal was a yudofu hot pot course and was quite sufficient. Although it was mid-November and not the peak of the autumn leaves, the scenery was still beautiful. After the meal, we had enough time for free activities to visit Jingoji, Seiryoji, and Takaozan Temple, and then we were taken back to the same station on the same bus. I highly recommend it!
京都市営地下鉄 太秦天神川駅まで送迎のバスが来るので高雄に行く場合に便利です。もみぢ家さんまで週末の金曜日でしたが渋滞もなく到着。到着後にそのまま川床の写真の場所へ案内頂き、直ぐに湯豆腐定食を頂きました。料理を持ってきて頂く前に飲み物のオーダーを取りに来ますので、追加料金で注文が可能と思います（私はお茶だけでオーダーしませんでした）。料理は湯豆腐の鍋コースで十分な内容でした。十一月の中旬だったので紅葉最盛期では無いですが十分な景観でした。食事の後は、自由行動で神護寺や西明寺、高山寺を観て回るのに十分な時間を要した後にお迎えと同じバスで同じ駅まで送って貰えます。お勧めだと思います！

I visited for a meal with friends. The weather was nice that day, and since it was early autumn, the temperature was just right, making for a comfortable experience. The meal included mizutaki and many beautiful small dishes, all of which were very delicious and visually enjoyable.
The scenery suggested that the autumn leaves were just starting to change, but the green leaves were also beautiful, so I think I came at a good time. Next time, I definitely want to visit during the summer riverside dining and the autumn foliage season.

I was torn between the light-up at Toji Temple and this one, but choosing this was definitely the right decision. The light-up in the mystical tranquility, along with the concert featuring the koto and flute, was wonderful. The performance in front of the beautiful garden was truly moving. The sound of the koto was incredibly beautiful, and I was captivated by the charm of this instrument that Japan should be proud of. The light-up in the garden, with the reflections of the maple leaves in the large pond, was enchanting. It was really great! ♡♡

Because of this, there was quite a long line before the light-up opening, but after finishing dinner in just over 30 minutes and stepping outside, the line had completely disappeared, and we were able to enter smoothly.
In other words, the reason for booking a dinner-inclusive tour to avoid waiting in line turned out to be pointless. I've heard that during really crowded times, the line extends outside the temple, so I think during those times, I would definitely feel it was worth it to book.

It was great to be able to enter almost at the front of the line without waiting, but since it was around the end of the autumn foliage season, I thought that if I had adjusted my timing a bit, I could have enjoyed the sights leisurely without joining this tour. However, I believe that during the peak foliage season, this tour would save a lot of time.

I booked this plan with dinner included to avoid long wait times, but first of all, the food was terrible. It wasn't even at a level worth charging for. Also, the lighting on the day itself had zero wait time even if you just lined up normally. It was completely pointless. That's enough for me.

I was able to enter the popular Eikando without waiting, and I heard that I could enjoy the famous yudofu in the area, but the yudofu was quite disappointing. The dishes served on the tray were all cold and not particularly tasty. The tofu was no different from what I usually eat at home. They packed us into the large hall, and without any cushions to sit on, it was uncomfortable, making it hard to relax.
Moreover, since the autumn leaves were almost over, there was no line, so there was no advantage to entering without waiting. That said, the autumn foliage was as beautiful as I had imagined.

I experienced the set plan that includes a visit to Eikando and a yudofu meal. The yudofu meal was very delicious. There was no waiting since the entrance for the Eikando visit was separate. However, the dining area did not have partitions or proper ventilation between customers, and the COVID-19 infection control measures were lacking. Additionally, there were no restrictions on the number of visitors for the Eikando visit, resulting in quite a crowded situation.

I have been visiting for many years, but I always gave up on seeing the site due to the long lines at the ticket booth. This year, I decided to make a reservation for tickets along with lunch. It was the right choice. Since it was the best season, there was a long line at the ticket booth. We glanced at it while heading to the designated area, and when we were unsure, a staff member kindly guided us to the reception. There were a few groups ahead of us in the dining area, but they were quite spaced out, so we were able to enjoy our meal comfortably. After that, we were able to enter smoothly through the dedicated entrance, which was a given.
