Departure from Nagasaki Station West Exit (Inasaguchi)
The museum displays numerous large-scale artifacts and photographs of the bombing, conveying the horrors and inhumanity of nuclear weapons and the tragedy of war through advanced audiovisual equipment.
Built on a hill north of the atomic bomb hypocenter, this park symbolizes the hope for a peaceful future and a commitment to never repeat the horrors of war. The Peace Statue, a symbol of Nagasaki as a city of peace, stands within the park.
During Japan's 200-year isolation period, Dejima was the only gateway for trade with the West and housed the Dutch Trading Post. Today, it is preserved as a historical district.
