I heard that there might come a time when landing on Gunkanjima will no longer be possible, so I signed up for this tour. It was a great deal since it included a visit to the Gunkanjima Museum as part of the pre-tour learning. The morning boat was fully booked, with participants ranging from elementary school children to the elderly. Although it was raining and I was somewhat resigned to not being able to land, the waves weren't too high, and we were able to disembark safely. I had prepared rain gear, but the staff provided raincoats, which I wore for the landing. As mentioned in other reviews, the staff's stories were very enjoyable, and I learned a lot about the people who lived on Gunkanjima.

I participated alone, but I truly felt it was a worthwhile tour. It was like experiencing "a diamond sleeping in the sea." I heard that if you participate in this tour three times, the fourth time is free! I want to go again.

いつか上陸できなくなるかもしれないという事を聞きこちらのツアーを申し込んだ。事前学習で軍艦島ミュージアムの観覧もついていてお得感があった。午前の乗船で船は満員御礼。小学生の子供からお年寄りまで年齢幅が広い参加者だった。雨が降っていて上陸は半ば諦めていたが、波もそこまで高くはなく無事上陸できた。雨具の用意はしていたもののスタッフの方がレインコートを支給してくださり、そちらを着用し上陸。他の方のレビューにもあったようにスタッフの方のお話がとても楽しく軍艦島に住んでいた人々のお話が色々と聞けてとても勉強になった。
一人で参加したが本当に参加して良かったと思えるツアーだった。「海に眠るダイヤモンド」そのものだった。
このツアーに３回参加すると４回目は無料になるとか！また行きたい。

It felt like time traveling. It was like embarking on a journey while being rocked by a ship in the nostalgic era of the Showa period. The extraordinary experience of landing on the island heightened the excitement, but more than anything, I was captivated by the guide's stories, which made the life on Hashima Island at that time feel very real. As the tour came to an end, I felt a bit of melancholy, but overall, it was a great experience.

島に上陸という非日常的な体験もワクワク感を盛り上げてくれましたが
なにより、ガイドの方の話に引き込まれ、当時の端島の生活がとてもリアルに感じることができました。
少しもの寂しさを感じながらツアーの終わりを迎えたが、良い気分でした。

It had been about 40 years since my last visit to Nagasaki during my high school trip. Even with limited time on this two-night, three-day trip, I wanted to make sure to visit the main tourist spots, so I joined this tour.

The guide and the driver were very pleasant and accommodating. During the bus ride, we were able to listen to local songs sung by the guide, which became a wonderful memory.

Most of the participants, including myself, were seniors, but the time management was reasonable, and it was physically comfortable. The view of Nagasaki Port from Glover Garden was so beautiful that I lost track of time and just wanted to keep looking at it.

As soon as I got home, I found myself wanting to visit Nagasaki again. I definitely hope to join the next tour as well.

高校の修学旅行以来、約40年振りの長崎でした。二泊三日と時間が限られている中でも主だった観光地は是非観光したいと思い、当ツアーに参加しました。
ガイドさんと運転手さんには、とても感じ良く対応して頂きました。バスの中ではガイドさんによる地元由来の歌も拝聴出来、良い思い出となりました。
私も含めて参加者はシニアの方が殆どでしたが、時間配分にも無理がなく体力的にも楽でした。グラバー園から望む長崎港の眺めは、時間が経つのも忘れてただずっと観ていたい程素敵でした。
帰宅早々又、長崎旅行に行きたくなりました。次回のツアーも是非お願いしたいと思っております。

I heard that the chances of landing on Gunkanjima in February are low, so I was quite lucky. The guide provided detailed explanations, and the content was easy to understand. It might have just been a coincidence, but the response to the person who was in line in front of me at the museum took quite a long time, about 10 minutes.

2月は軍艦島に上陸できる確率が低いと聞いてたので、かなりラッキーでした。
ガイドさんが詳しく説明してくれて、内容もわかりやすかったです。
たまたまかもしれませんが、ミュージアムへ入場するのに私の前に並んでいた方への対応が長く10分くらいかかりました。

On the final day of the Nagasaki Lantern Festival, February 23rd, the weather was favorable and it was a clear day. Both the morning and afternoon flights were fully booked! If you have set travel dates, I recommend making reservations early. There seem to be several companies offering tours to Gunkanjima, but I think the Concierge's boat is the largest. I'm not sure, though? The guide provided thorough explanations both going and coming back, which was very educational. I highly recommend this tour.

軍艦島ツアーは数社有るようですが、コンシュルジュの船が一番大きいと思います。知らんけど？ガイドさんの説明も行き帰りともしっかりしてくださり、とても勉強になりました。
お勧めのツアーです。

I was able to land. The guide provided detailed explanations about the conditions at the time and the architectural features, allowing me to reflect on the past while exploring. It was enjoyable. The digital museum was also very good.

上陸できました。ガイドさんが当時の様子や建築の特徴などを詳しく説明してくれるので、当時の様子に思いを馳せながら見学することができました。楽しかったです。

I used a half-day sightseeing tour in the morning, and I was able to efficiently explore the area in a short amount of time. The guide's explanations were also easy to understand.

午前中の半日観光ツアーを利用しましたが、短い時間で地域を絞って効率的に観光が出来ましたし、ガイドさんの説明も分かりやすかったです。

It was a cold afternoon with rain, so I was glad I chose the bus tour. Both the Confucius Temple and Glover Garden had local guides, so I was able to hear their explanations. The museum at the Confucius Temple and Glover Garden were both impressive attractions, and it was a bit disappointing that we didn't have enough time, but overall, I was satisfied. The driver was also a very pleasant person.

雨が降る寒い午後だったのでバスツアーを選んでよかったです。
孔子廟もグラバー園も、それぞれ現地のガイドさんがいらっしゃるので説明を聞かせてもらうことができました。孔子廟の博物館もグラバー園も見応えのある名所で、少し時間が足りなかったのが残念でしたが、概して満足です。ドライバーさんがとても感じの良い方でした。

I was glad to be able to visit various places in one day. It felt like I was able to see most of Nagasaki. However, I wish I had more time at the Atomic Bomb Museum. I wanted enough time to watch the entire movie. Since there isn't much to see at Dejima, it would make for a more fulfilling tour if that time could be allocated to the museum instead.

1日で、いろいろなところを回れてよかった。長崎見学がほぼできた感じである。ただ、原爆資料館での見学時間が少なかった。映画が終わりまで見れる時間がほしかった。出島での見学は、そんなにないので、その時間を資料館にまわせたら、もっと充実したツアーになるのではないか。

I had only seen Battleship Island on TV until now, but on the day of my visit, the weather was great, and I was able to land on the island, which was truly moving. You can't feel the impact unless you see it in person.

今までテレビでしか見てなかった軍艦島に当日は天気も良く上陸も出来て感動しました。
実物を観ないと感動は伝わりません。

It was a winter trip, but we were blessed with good weather, and the cold was just right. I was very satisfied with the tour as we were able to go ashore. The concierges were very kind, and the guide had an easy-to-listen-to voice with a warm personality that shone through in their storytelling. They spoke wonderfully about the terrain, history, and the lives of the people, painting vivid pictures in my mind. I had always wanted to go, but I never had the opportunity and had only visited the digital museum. Being able to actually go ashore made it a truly memorable journey. I highly recommend this tour. Next time, I want to participate in the "premium seats"!

冬の参加でしたが、天気に恵まれて寒さもほどほど、上陸もできて大変満足なツアーでした。コンシェルジェの皆さんも大変親切で、説明をされるガイドさんも聴きやすい声、温かな性格が滲み出るようなお話で、地形、歴史や人々の生活など、目に浮かぶ様な語りが素晴らしかったです。ずっと行きたいと思っていたのですが機会なく、デジタルミュージアム止まりでした。実際に上陸できて、大変記憶に残る旅になりました。たいへんオススメなツアーです。次は「プレミアム席」で参加したいです！

Fortunately, we were able to land. According to our guide, the probability for this month (December) is about half. The tour company's crew was also very efficient, and we had a great experience! ^_^

幸いに上陸することができました。

I was anxious about exploring a new place on my own, so having the guide show me around and take me to various locations was fantastic.

In the morning, I spent time traveling from Huis Ten Bosch, so in the afternoon, I joined the course at the Confucius Temple and Glover Garden.

Thanks to the guide, I was able to hear various stories, which was great. I participated alone, but I was able to see everything smoothly. The time was shorter than I expected, and it felt busy.

Despite being a weekday, the Gunkanjima tour was extremely popular. On this day, the morning departures from the five different ferry companies were almost fully booked. I'm glad I made a reservation in advance through Veltra. First, we went to the Digital Museum to check in. I paid a landing tax of 310 yen. The Digital Museum had many highlights, and the video of entering the mine felt like an attraction. It was also great to see Gunkanjima from above in VR.

When it was time, we headed to the boat. I mistakenly went to the wrong ferry and had to rush back. We boarded the ferry in order of our reception numbers. If you buy a premium ticket, you get a seat on the second floor. Unfortunately, I didn't get that, but since I checked in early, I was able to get a window seat.

I've heard that it's often not possible to land once the boat departs. However, on this day, it was hot like midsummer, and we were able to disembark. We received explanations at three locations on the island. The guide who explained things had lived on the island, so we got to hear firsthand accounts. They were a wonderful guide.

On the way back, I was so tired that I fell asleep, but it was a very fulfilling three hours. Gunkanjima truly was a "diamond sleeping in the sea."

平日にも関わらず大人気の軍艦島ツアー。この日も5つある船会社の午前便はほぼ満席。前もってベルトラで予約しておいてよかった。まずはデジタルミュージアムに行きチェックイン。1人入島税？で310円払いました。デジタルミュージアムは見どころが多く、特に鉱山に入るビデオはアトラクションのようでした。ＶＲで軍艦島を上から観られるのもよかったです。
時間になったので船へ向かいます。場所を間違えて違う船に行ってしまい慌てて戻りました。受付番号順に船内へ。プレミアムのチケットを買えば2階席でした。残念。でも早く受付したので、窓際が取れました。
船が出ても上陸できないことが多いらしいです。この日は真夏のような暑さで上陸okでした。島内3ヶ所で説明を受けます。説明をしてくださった方が島に住んでたことがあったとのことで、生きた説明が聞けました。素晴らしいガイドさんでした。
帰りは疲れて寝ちゃいましたがとても充実した3時間でした。
軍艦島はまさしく「海に眠るダイヤモンド」でした。

The guide was interesting. Hearing stories from the residents and researching materials was very helpful.

We visited two locations, and particularly memorable was the elevator that about 20 miners used to descend underground, which had no cage and descended at the same speed as the elevator in Tokyo Skytree. It was also impressive to learn that every household on the island had a television, and that the closure of the mine ended without any labor disputes.

案内役のガイドは面白かった。住んでいた方々のお話を聞き、かつ資料を調べたものでしたので、大変参考になりました。
二箇所を見学して、特に20人位の炭鉱夫が地下に潜るエレベーターが、籠がないもので、スカイツリーのエレベーターの速度と同じで降りるという話と島民の全世帯にテレビが設置されていたこと、閉山も争いなく労働争議が終わったと言うお話が印象的でした。

You can reach the destinations by tram, but since I didn't have much time, I decided to join this tour. It turned out to be the right choice.
During the bus ride, the tour guide provides explanations about the places we visit, but the guide doesn't accompany us the entire time at the destinations, so it's mostly a self-guided experience.
I was scheduled to return home on an afternoon flight, so thanks to this tour, I was able to visit all the places I wanted to see.

訪れる先は路面電車でも行けたりしますが、あまり時間がなかったので、こちらのツアーに参加させていただきました。結果、正解でした。
移動中のバスの中でバスガイドさんが訪問先の説明をしてくれますが、訪問先ではずっとガイドさんが同行というわけではなく、ほぼセルフでの観光になります。
午後のフライトで地元に戻る予定でしたので、このツアーに参加できたおかげで行きたいところ全て周れました。

You board in order of your ticket number, so there is no cutting in line or jumping ahead. I felt a bit seasick, but there was a distribution of candy. I think it's a good idea to visit the Gunkanjima Museum first. Our guide, Mr. Hamaguchi, provided clear and thorough explanations with a wealth of knowledge. All the staff were kind, and I felt safe and enjoyed the entire experience.

整理番号順に乗り込むので、割り込み、横入りはないです。若干船酔いしましたが、キャンディの、配布がありました。
軍艦島ミュージアムを見学してから行くのがいいと思います。ガイドの浜口さんは豊富な知識でわかりやすく丁寧な説明でした。スタッフの方々も皆さん優しく終始安心安全楽しく行ってこれました。

Nagasaki has good transportation options like streetcars and buses, making it easy to explore even alone. However, if you want to spend some time leisurely around Glover Garden or Oura Church after departing from Nagasaki Station, this tour, which allows for a stop along the way, is efficient. The simple explanations provided for places like the Confucius Hall and Glover Garden make it easy to understand, and the entrance fee included in this price is reasonable and appreciated in today's circumstances.

長崎は市電やバスなど交通便は良いので1人でも観光出来ますが、長崎駅発で最終的にグラバー園や大浦天主堂辺りでゆっくり過ごしたいならば、途中終了も可能なこのツアーは効率良いです。孔子廊やグラバー園など、簡単な説明をしてくれてから周るのも分かりやすいですし、入園料も入りこのお値段は、今のご時世ではリーズナブルでありがたいです。

Seeing Gunkanjima from the outside allowed me to grasp its overall view. The explanations were thorough and very easy to understand, which was great.

The bus guide provided a detailed account of Nagasaki's history, particularly regarding the atomic bomb, which was quite moving. At the Atomic Bomb Museum, they guided us on what to see in a short amount of time, allowing us to navigate efficiently. Although it was spring break, the bus was only about half full, making for a relaxed experience.

バスガイドさんが、長崎の歴史、特に原爆についての事を詳しく話してくださり、感慨深いものがありました。
原爆博物館でも、短い時間の中見るべきものを教えてくださり、効率よく回ることができました。春休みでしたが、お客さんもバス半分くらいでのんびり回ることができました。

On the day of the trip, I was worried whether the ship would set sail due to the formation of a linear precipitation belt, but miraculously the weather improved, and we were able to land safely on Gunkanjima. The guide, Mr. Hamaguchi, provided explanations that were both humorous and easy to understand, making for a very enjoyable time. Thank you very much.

The blue sky, white clouds, and Gunkanjima... it was amazing. The guide's explanations on the island were easy to understand, and you could really feel their affection for Gunkanjima. However, it was a bit disappointing that the guide's voice was too quiet on the boat, making it hard to hear their stories.

Before landing, the staff made sure to turn the boat so that both left and right side seats could take pictures of Gunkanjima, which was very considerate. They were also very kind, taking photos for us.

The digital museum before the cruise was also very impressive, and we had a memorable time there. Thank you very much.

青い空・白い雲・軍艦島…最高でした。島内でのガイドさんの説明も分かりやすく、しかも軍艦島に対する愛着をヒシヒシと感じられる素晴らしいものでした。ただ、船内ではガイドさんの声が小さく、せっかくのお話が声が聞こえないのが残念ではありましたが…。
上陸前には、左側席も右側席も軍艦島の写真を撮れるよう船を旋回するなど気配りもバッチリで、スタッフの方も写真を撮ってくださったりと大変親切でした。
クルーズに出かける前のデジタルミュージアムも大変見応えがあり、思い出に残るひと時を過ごさせていただきました。

I participated in the schedule from the afternoon of the first day to the morning of the second day, and it was perfect for a one-night, two-day whirlwind trip. I was satisfied with how efficiently I could visit the highlights.

1日目午後と2日目午前とのスケジュールで参加しましたが、１泊2日の弾丸旅行には最適でした。見どころを効率よく廻れて満足してます。

I arrived at Nagasaki Station in the afternoon, dropped off my luggage at the hotel, and joined the tour. Since there was a large bus with a trunk room, I could participate without worrying about my big luggage. The guide provided information about places to buy souvenirs, night views, and unique events during the Obon festival, which was great. The tour ended at a reasonable time, allowing me to buy souvenirs at the station and go see the night view. The next day, I participated with my suitcase since I was going to a preservation site in the afternoon. I didn't have any specific plans, but I was able to visit the main tourist attractions.

午後に長崎駅に着いて，ホテルに荷物をあずか，参加しましたが、大型バスでトランクルームもあるので，大きな荷物があっても気楽に参加できます。ガイドさんから，お土産を売っている場所や夜景やお盆特有の行事の情報も聞けて，良かったです。ツアーの終わる時間もそんなに遅くないので，駅でお土産を買って、夜景を見に行けました。翌日は午後には保存のところに行くのでスーツケースを持って参加しました。何のプランもなかったのですが，メインの観光地を観光できました。

Since it was my first time in Nagasaki, I chose a bus tour instead of exploring on my own. I found the Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum fascinating and wanted to take my time to look around. If I have the opportunity to go again, I would like to visit it.

There were concerns about not being able to land, but we were able to disembark safely.
There is no shade on the island, and using parasols is prohibited, so taking measures against heatstroke is essential.
On the ship and on the island, a knowledgeable and experienced guide provided us with information, which, combined with the digital museum, deepened our understanding.

上陸できないこともある、とのことで出航まで不安でしたが無事上陸することができました。
島内は日影がなく、日傘も禁止とのこと、熱中症対策必須でした。
船内、島内では、知識・経験ともに豊富なガイドさんが案内してくださるので、デジタルミュージアムと相まって知見が深まりました。

The Gunkanjima Museum at the reception area provides a deeper understanding of Gunkanjima for those who visit in advance. We waited in a private lounge until boarding. After boarding, the guide explained the history of Nagasaki in an easy-to-understand manner to keep the visitors engaged until we landed on Gunkanjima. It was mentioned that due to city regulations, there are times when landing may not be possible even after departure. Fortunately, we were able to land safely.

受付場所にある軍艦島ミュージアムには事前に見学された方がより軍艦島に対する考えが深まります。乗船まで専用ラウンジで待機しました。乗船後は軍艦島上陸まで見学者が飽きないように長崎の歴史等ガイドの方が分かりやすく話をしてくださいました。市の条例で出港しても上陸できないこともあるとのこと。幸い無事上陸できました。

First of all, the museum had a very rich content that conveyed the social conditions of the time and the way of life of the residents, leaving a lasting impression on me. After thoroughly exploring the exhibits, we boarded the boat and listened to the videos and explanations on board (which were so comprehensive they could be called lectures), which further heightened my anticipation for landing on the island. Although it seems that high waves often prevent landings, on the day I participated, we were able to disembark on the island. Even though it has become a ruin, seeing the structures in front of me resonated with the images I had seen in the museum, and I was overwhelmed with emotion. Tangible heritage may eventually crumble, but this historical site makes me want to remember the feelings I had when I stood on the island and engrave them in my memory.

まず、ミュージアムがとても充実した内容で、当時の社会状況や住民の方々の暮らしぶりが伝わってきて、心に残りました。十分に見学してから、船に乗船し、船内での映像と説明（講義と言ってよい程、こちらも充実しています）を聴いて、どんどん島上陸への期待が膨らみました。波の高さで、上陸できないことも多いようですが、参加した日は島に上陸が叶い、廃墟となってしまったとはいえ、目の前に建造物を見ると、ミュージアムで見た映像と重なり、感無量でした。形ある遺産は、いつか崩れ落ちてしまうかもしれませんが、実際に島に立った時の気持ちをわすれずに、目に焼きつけたいと思わせる、歴史的遺産です。
