Since it was my first time in Nara, I had many places I wanted to visit, so I joined a tour for efficient sightseeing. The guide provided a lot of explanations, which was very helpful. Also, it was quite cold during that time, so being able to travel by bus was great. It was so good that I joined another tour in the afternoon.

奈良は初めてだったので、行きたい場所が沢山あったのですが、効率よく観光できるので、ツアーに参加しました。
ガイドさんがいろいろ説明してくださるので、とてもよかったです。
また、時期的に寒かったのでバスで移動できたのも良かったです。
あまりによかったので午後は別のツアーも参加しました。

I participated with my 73-year-old mother. It's difficult to cover everything in one day on a personal trip, but we were able to efficiently enjoy the World Heritage sites in Nara. The guide's explanations were excellent, and the driver was safe.
The lunch, including Nara pickles, persimmon leaf sushi, and warm udon, was also delicious.
It was a great way to show appreciation to my mother.

73歳の母と参加しました。個人旅行ではとても１日では回りきれないのですが、奈良の世界遺産を効率よく堪能できました。ガイドさんの案内もよく、ドライバーさんも安全運転でした。
お昼御飯も奈良漬けや柿の葉寿司温かいうどんも美味しかったです。
良い親孝行ができました。

This was my first experience being guided by a monk and even participating in a sutra chant.

During the initial talk by Master Ganjin, I was moved by his sincere thoughts on the arrival of Buddhism and felt the breath of the Tenpyo era.

Next, while listening to stories in front of the main deity of the Golden Hall, Shakyamuni Buddha, along with the Thousand-Handed and Thousand-Eyed Bodhisattva and the national treasure, Yakushi Nyorai, I was in awe. The aura emanating from the statues was truly remarkable, and each one was equally magnificent.

We then toured the lecture hall where the monks studied, and finally, we were able to enter the hall of worship, which is usually off-limits. This hall, known as the "Nikkyo Sharito," is said to enshrine the Buddha's relics brought by Master Ganjin. We were able to hear about its origins and pay our respects nearby. In that hall, the monk chanted sutras for everyone's happiness, marking the end of this tour.

During this tour of the Toshodai-ji Temple in Nara, I had the precious opportunity to touch the spirit of the Tenpyo era and experience the compassion of the Buddha. I highly recommend that everyone try this experience.

今回のようなお坊さんに解説していただいて読経までしていただいたのは、初めての体験です。
最初の鑑真和尚のお話では、仏教伝来への真摯な思いに感動し、天平の時代の息吹を感じることができました。
次に金堂の御本尊の釈迦牟尼如来をはじめ並ぶ千手千眼菩薩、薬師如来の国宝のみほとけさまがたを拝しながら、お話を聞きました。仏像から滲み出るオーラはさすがのもので、いずれ劣らず素晴らしい仏像でした。

そしてお坊さまがたが学んだという講堂をまわり、最後に普段は上がれない 礼堂に上がることが出来ます。そこは「日供舎利塔」といい、鑑真和尚が持参されたブッタの舎利をおまつりしているとのことでした。由来を聞き近くに拝させていただくことができます。そのお堂でお坊さんに皆の幸いを祈って読経していただきこのツアーの終了です。

この唐招提寺うまし奈良ツアーでは、天平の時代の息吹に触れ、み仏のお慈悲に触れるありがたいひとときを過ごさせていただきました。皆さんも是非体験していただきたいと思います。

The charm of visiting the temple during this season is being able to appreciate it slowly in the crisp air! There were participants from other media in this program, and since one person requested to complete the tour in an hour due to a tight schedule, we had to rush through some parts, which was unfortunate. I was grateful that the staff took care of my infant while I participated with a stroller. I immediately thought about signing up for other programs!

この季節のお寺は凛とした空気の中でゆっくり拝観できるのが魅力ですね！
このプログラムは他媒体から参加してきてる人もいて、たまたまツアーの合間の参加のため１時間で回ってほしいと申された方もいたのでその方にあわせて駆け足での拝観となり一部割愛された部分があったのが残念でした。
乳児をベビーカーで参加したら係の方が子守りしてくださりありがたかったです。
早速、他プログラムにも申し込もうと思いました！

I received a direct explanation from a monk at Todai-ji Temple while being guided through the temple grounds. I had developed an interest in Ganjin after reading about the Tenpyo period and wanted to learn more about the Nara period, so this tour was very satisfying for my curiosity.

The monk's explanations were easy to understand, and he also recited sutras, making the experience very fulfilling. I wouldn't have been able to satisfy my interest to this extent just by visiting. I was deeply impressed by how clearly he taught the teachings of the sutras. The monk was very dignified and cool.

Nara was wonderful.

唐招提寺の僧侶から直接説明を受けながら、寺院内を案内していただきました。
天平の甍を読んで、鑑真和上に興味を持ち、奈良時代のことをもっとよく知りたいと思っていたので、このツアーはとても興味を満足させるものでした。

僧侶の説明はわかりやすく、お経もよんでいただけて、たいへん充実しておりました。
ただ訪れただけではここまで興味を満足させられなかったでしょう。
お経の教えをわかりやすく教えていただいて、深く感銘いたしました。
お坊様はとてもりりしく、かっこよかったです。

奈良はとてもよかったです。

I wanted to hear profound words that would nourish my life, but unfortunately, I did not receive an engaging talk. Even if it’s not perfect, I would have appreciated it if you had prepared thoroughly, at least distributing handouts, explaining, or writing on a blackboard or flip chart with a marker.

I hope this doesn’t sound rude, but if you are charging a participation fee, it was only worth about 500 yen. It may sound harsh, but I must say that this unprepared and insincere talk not only diminished the value of the travel agency but also cast doubt on the value of Todai-ji.

説法は、人生の糧となるような、含蓄あるお言葉をお聞きしたかったのですが、残念ながら引き込まれるお話を頂けませんでした。下手でも良いですから、準備を万全にして頂き、少なくともプリントを配り、説明するとか、黒板とか、ザラ版紙にマジックて書き込んで説明するとかして欲しかったです。
失礼なようですか、参加料を取るのであれば、500円ぐらいの価値でした。キツイようですが、旅行社の価値をおとしめたばかりでなく、東大寺さんの価値をも怪しげにする不勉強な、不誠実な説法と言わざるを得ません。

I had a relaxing bus trip. The guide was very kind, and I highly recommend this bus tour. A good tour leaves a positive impression of the region, which is important.

ゆったりとバス旅行が出来ました。ガイドさんもすごくご親切で、とてもお勧めのバス旅行です。ツアーが良いとその県の印象まで良いものとして残るので大事ですね。

The veteran guide's knowledge was exceptional, and we were able to cover everything efficiently. It would have been impossible to do this on our own. I was very satisfied.

効率よく回れ、とにかくベテランガイドさんの知識は申し分なかったです。
個人手配ではとても回れません。
大満足でした。

Since it was a weekday, there were only five participants, but it was actually nice because it was less crowded. It was very hot, so traveling in an air-conditioned bus was comfortable. The guide provided thorough explanations. I'm glad I participated.

平日だったこともあり、参加者は5人でしたが、逆に空いていて良かったです。とても暑かったので冷房の効いたバスでの移動で楽でした。ガイドさんもしっかり説明してくださいました。参加して良かったです。

The bus guide provided a quick explanation of the grounds, and then we had free time to explore. I would have appreciated a slower explanation.

In the cold, I received a polite explanation from a handsome monk, which was very educational. My perspective on the Thousand-Armed Kannon has changed.

寒い中、イケメンの僧侶の方に丁寧に説明していただき、勉強になりました。千手観音の見方が変わりました。

You might think that it's a small area to visit by sightseeing bus on the map, but it's perfect for making the most of half a day, and we were able to leave Nara by 1 PM and head back.

地図上では小さな範囲で観光バスで行くほどかな？と思うかもしれませんが、半日を有効に使うには最適で、1時には奈良を出発し帰路につけました

It was a one-day course with detailed explanations from the guide, and since there were fewer people, everything went smoothly, which made me very satisfied.

ガイドさんの詳しい説明を聞きながらの1日コースですが、たまたま人数も少なめでスムーズだった事もありとても満足です。

The guide was very knowledgeable and provided detailed information about history and geography, occasionally mixing in jokes. Since I participated only in the morning portion of the day tour, I felt a bit out of place. The disbanding location was on-site, so I wanted to take my time to explore Hōryū-ji again in the afternoon, but I wasn't given a ticket (perhaps because it was a group tour, and re-entry might not be allowed). That was a bit disappointing. There are three buses per hour on the way back, and JR has a similar frequency, so it should take about an hour to return to the meeting point.

ガイドさんの知識が豊富で時折冗談を交えながら歴史や地理等々について
詳しく教えて下さいました。
一日ツアーの方々の午前中のみに参加させて頂くコースなので少々肩身の狭い
思いがありました。
解散場所は現地なので午後から自由に再度法隆寺をじっくり見たいと思っていましたが
入場券は頂けなかったので（団体だから仕方ないのかな。再入場も不可なのかな。）
その点は少々残念でした。
帰りのバスも１時間に３本ありますしJRもその頻度強でありますので集合場所まで
戻る時間は１時間ぐらいでしょうか。

To my surprise, we had Kasuga-taisha Shrine all to ourselves. I didn't know that was possible! Since it was an experience after closing hours, we were the only participants in this event. I was very happy. The priest shared detailed stories filled with humor, making it truly feel like a beneficial event. I am extremely satisfied.

まさかの春日大社貸切。そんなことが出来るのですね。閉門時間過ぎの体験でしたので、このイベントに参加した私たちのみの参拝。とても嬉しかったです。神職さんのお話もユーモアあふれた詳細なお話を聞けて、本当にご利益があるようなイベントでした。大大満足です。

Hōryū-ji is located about an hour by car from Nara Station, so I hadn't been able to visit until now. However, this time I was taken there by bus, which made it very easy to get to. The guide was also very skilled.

However, since the tour ends at the site, returning is a bit inconvenient.

法隆寺は奈良駅からだと車で１時間くらいの場所にあるので
なかなか今まで行けなかったのですが
今回バスで連れて行っていただき、とても楽にいけました。
ガイドさんもとてもお上手でした

ただ現地解散なので、帰りがすこし不便です。

The Great Buddha of Nara, Kasuga-taisha, and Hōryū-ji are not too far away, but traveling between them can be surprisingly cumbersome, so I decided to try a bus tour for the first time. The guide was very friendly and shared detailed information about the history, which was great. I can't remember their name, though...

At Kasuga-taisha, it seems there are special viewing opportunities during certain times, just for the tour participants? It felt a bit exclusive to be able to enter through the open gate♪ It's been since my school trip that I last saw the Great Buddha, and I was once again amazed by its grandeur. There seem to be other courses available, so when I come back next time, I would like to explore a different route.

決して遠くはない奈良の大仏、春日大社、法隆寺ですが、
移動は意外と面倒とのことで、初のバスツアーを試してみました。
ガイドさんがその歴史など詳しく話してくれ、とてもフレンドリーな方でよかったです。
お名前が思い出せないですが。。。
春日大社では特別観覧も出来る時期とのことでツアーの方だけ？
門を開けて中まで入ることができちょっぴり優越感です♪
大仏は修学旅行以来なので改めてその迫力に圧巻です。
他のコースもあるようなので次回来た際は、違うルートも見てみたいと思います。

It was a great tour visiting three temples in just the morning. Normally, you would walk, but it was comfortable to travel by bus as I get older. At the first stop, Todai-ji, we had free time after seeing the Great Buddha. We made it to Nigatsu-do, but we were cutting it close for the meeting time. I wish we had enough time to visit both Nigatsu-do and Sangatsu-do at Todai-ji.

At the next stop, Kasuga-taisha, a special viewing was scheduled, but unfortunately, it was canceled due to an event that day. It would have been better if we had known this before departing, but we only found out when we arrived at the reception at Kasuga-taisha. What a shame.

Finally, we disbanded at Kofuku-ji. After that, we strolled around Naramachi. This tour, which allowed us to visit three temples in the morning, was perfect for enjoying a café and leisurely spending time in Naramachi.

The meeting place for the tour was at the Kintetsu Nara Station's regular sightseeing information center, but I couldn't find the location and had to ask someone at Kintetsu Nara Station before I could gather with the group. If it had been indicated as "in front of Kintetsu Nara Station," I would have understood, but I mistakenly thought it was inside the station.

午前中だけで三社寺を回ってとても良いツアーでした。普通は歩くのでしょうが、年を取るとバスで回れるのが快適でした。最初の東大寺では大仏を見たあとは自由時間でした。私たちは二月堂まで行ってきましたが、集合時間ギリギリでした。せっかくの東大寺では二月堂、三月堂を回れるくらいの時間が欲しいところでした。
次の春日大社では特別拝観が予定されていましたが、残念なことにその日は行事があって特別拝観は、中止でした。出発の際にわかっていれば良かったのですが、春日大社の受付に行って初めてわかる状態でした。残念です。
最後は興福寺で解散でした。私たちはその後、ならまちを散策しました。ならまちでカフェを楽しみ、ブラブラと過ごすのには、午前中で三社寺を回れるこのツアーは最高でした。
ツアー参加の集合場所が近鉄奈良駅の定期観光案内所でしたが、場所が分からず、近鉄奈良駅の人に場所を聞いてやっと集合できました。
近鉄奈良駅「前」の、と書かれていれば、わかったのですが、近鉄奈良駅の中にあるものと思ってしまいました。

It was a great tour! Our tour guide was wonderful! Very entertaining and insightful! And the personnel who met us at the meeting point and at the departure point were very friendly and ensured that we didn't get lost.
