I went to Ishigaki with four friends in early September. Speaking of Ishigaki, it's all about Kabira Bay! I wanted to swim in the beautiful sea there, but it turned out swimming was prohibited... So, I searched for places around Kabira Bay where we could enjoy the sea and found this tour.

This tour allows you to fully enjoy the sea in one day, with SUP in the morning and snorkeling in the afternoon! It was my first time trying SUP, but once I got the hang of it, I was able to move forward easily, and it became really fun as I got used to it. During snorkeling, I saw many fish I had never seen before, and the guide took lots of pictures underwater, so even a month later, I can look back at those memories.

For lunch, we were dropped off at Kabira Bay, where we could see the beautiful sea with glass-bottom boats floating on it.

If you come to Ishigaki, make sure to enjoy Kabira with this tour!

9月上旬に友達4人と石垣に行きました。石垣といえば川平湾！そこの綺麗な海で泳ぎたいなと思ったところ、遊泳禁止との事だったので…川平湾周辺で海を楽しめる所がないか探して、このツアーを見つけました。

このツアーでは午前中はSUP、午後はシュノーケリングと、一日で海を満喫できます！SUPは初めてだったのですが、コツを掴めばどんどん進んでいけるので、慣れてくるととても楽しいです。シュノーケリングでは見たこともない魚をたくさん見る事ができ、しかもガイドさんが海の中の写真をたくさん撮ってくれたので、1ヶ月たった今も思い出を見返す事ができてます。

ランチは川平湾で下ろして頂いたので、ガラスボートが浮かぶ綺麗な海を見ることができました。

The snorkeling took place at a beach where sea turtles are often seen. The staff were very kind and attentive, checking in on participants throughout the tour. We were able to see several turtles. The staff had a camera and took photos underwater, which they sent to us afterward.

Unfortunately, the Pumpkin Cave tour was canceled due to high tide, which was disappointing, but it was nice to relax and take a shower at the hotel afterward. They suggested that if we had a longer stay, we could schedule it for another day, but we were planning to leave the next day, so we couldn't go.

滞在日数が長ければ別日に開催するのでその時でもと提案してくれましたが、私たちは次の日帰る予定だったので行けませんでした。
でもとても満足できてよかったです。

At first, he kindly taught us the points, and then during the practice, he watched closely and gave us advice. My partner fell into the sea several times, but since we were wearing life jackets, there was no danger of drowning. The staff took many photos with the sunset in the background, which was also very beautiful. Once we got the hang of it, he suggested challenges and competitions for us to ride on one paddleboard together, and we were able to enjoy ourselves throughout. Not only did we get to see the rare and highly venomous sea snake, but the staff even dove in and caught it with their bare hands for us to touch. I chose this course because I wanted to relax on a solo trip. The high-speed boat does sway, but I took motion sickness medication and it was fine. When we arrived at the port, I felt a bit guilty that I was the only passenger during the transfer to the beach, but the driver slowed down at a scenic spot, which made me happy. The beach was truly beautiful and soothing. The staff were also kind, which was great. While snorkeling, I was searching for sea turtles and was about to give up when I turned around and saw a sea turtle right behind me eating! It was adorable to see the turtle come up for air. I was able to swim with it for a little while. It had a light blue tag on its fin for identification purposes. Just being able to see the sea turtle made me so happy. The lunch was delicious too. The view of the sea from the restaurant's terrace was beautiful. I was grateful for the facilities like showers, toilets, changing rooms, and a spin dryer that were well-equipped for the hotel. I made great memories by participating in this tour.

Unfortunately, due to the moral issues during the COVID-19 pandemic, there were many parents and couples who were not wearing masks and making noise in the high-speed boat and the waiting area outside. Additionally, there were couples who removed the signs indicating that certain seats were not to be used for social distancing and infection prevention. I understand that the boat staff cannot monitor everything, but I think it would be good to have announcements or explanations about the unusable seats during boarding.

一人旅でのんびりしたかったので、このコースにしました。高速船なので揺れますが、酔い止め飲んで大丈夫でした。港に着いてからビーチまでの送迎が、お客さんが私だけで申し訳ない気持ちになってしまいましたが、運転手さんが、絶景のところでスピードを落としてくださり、嬉しかったです。ビーチは本当にキレイで癒されます。スタッフの方たちも優しくて良かったです。シュノーケリングでウミガメを探していて、なかなか見つからず諦めかけた頃に、振り返ったら自分のすぐ後ろでウミガメがお食事中でした❗ウミガメが顔を水面から出して呼吸？したりと可愛かったです。少しだけですが一緒に泳ぐことができました。ヒレに個体識別用？の水色のタグが付いていました。ウミガメに会えただけで幸せでした。お昼も美味しかったです。（牛丼）レストランのテラスから望む海がキレイです。シャワーやトイレ、更衣室、脱水機などホテルのため設備が整っていてありがたかったです。このツアーに参加していい思い出ができました。
残念なのは、コロナ禍である中モラルの問題でしょうが、高速船の中や、外の待合室でもマスクしていないで騒ぐ親子やカップルも多く、また船の座席にわざわざソーシャルディスタンス、感染予防のためこの座席は使用できません。と張り紙がされているのに、その紙を外して座るおバカなカップルもいました。船のスタッフさんは、そこまで監視できないのでしょうけれど、せめて船内放送や乗船時に、張り紙の座席は使用不可と説明があってもいいのかなと思いました。

Amazing experience with lots of things to do, beautiful scenery both above and under water, we have seen many kinds of fish and also we were swimming with a turtle. Staff created amazing photos. Diving can be done up to 3 times and also parasailing.

In the package a single diving (~20 mins) is included, additional diving costs 5500 yen which was not disclosed until we were on the boat. Parasailing is also extra. It's actually understandable but this information should be properly disclosed, I though I could get 2 dives with the initial price.

I went during Silver Week! Even though it was a busy time, the small group size allowed us to experience everything without worry. We got to see mangroves while paddleboarding, took photos at a cool waterfall, and enjoyed the flowers and fish—overall, it was so healing!! The snorkeling was amazing too; the sea was beautiful and clear, and just swimming around was incredibly satisfying!!! In the end, I saw a sea snake, which surprised me and made me stumble, but it was definitely the most shocking moment and unforgettable.

こんな時期ですが、少人数制で心配せずに体験ができました。
SUPをしながらマングローブをみたり、クーラーの滝で写真撮ってくれたり、お花やお魚みたり、とにかく癒されました！！

I tried SUP for the first time!!

They picked me up at the hotel, and after about a 30-minute drive, we arrived at Kabira Bay. I put on a life jacket and marine shoes, and I was all set. I brought my own bottled tea. (On the way to Kabira Bay, the guide stopped by a vending machine for additional purchases. Since it was hot, 500ml per person was essential. I tied it to the SUP and took it to the sea.)

When I nervously got on the SUP, it wobbled a bit, but I managed to stay on without falling off. I started on my knees and then switched to a cross-legged position, and once I got the hang of it, I stood up. It was a clear, windless day, so I glided smoothly and it was easier than I expected! The sea was very clear, with a beautiful blue sky and white clouds; it was the best! 😊
