I participated in the premium course for Pumpkin Cave and snorkeling, as well as SUP.

The Pumpkin Cave was a truly mystical space, and I’m really glad I had the opportunity to experience it. The instructor provided various explanations, making it a great experience.

During snorkeling, I was a bit scared since I don’t swim, but the beauty of the underwater world was incredible! My fear disappeared instantly, and I had so much fun. Meeting a sea turtle was the highlight.

In SUP, those who were exhausted were able to relax and rejuvenate.

I was very tired after a full day of activities starting from the morning, but it was a fulfilling day.

パンプキン鍾乳洞はとっても神秘的な空間で、体験することができて本当によかったです。
インストラクターの方が、色々と解説をしてくださり、いい経験となりました。

シュノーケリングでは、私自身泳がないので少し恐怖心がありましたが、海の中の綺麗なこと！！一気に恐怖心が消え、とても楽しめました。ウミガメにも会えて最高でした。

SUPでは、疲れ切った体を休める方々が、癒やされました。


朝からのアクティビティ続きでとても疲れましたが、充実した1日となりました。

I also experienced mangrove canoeing in Ishigaki Island and Amami Oshima, but the canoeing in Iriomote Island was the most interesting. With the guidance of our guide Yume, we were able to paddle deep into the mangroves from the wide river.

石垣島、奄美大島でもマングローブカヌーを体験しましたが西表島のカヌーが一番面白かったです。
ガイドのユメさんの案内で広い川からマングローブのずいぶんと奥までカヌーで入って行く事ができました。

I participated in a tour of Yubu Island and a mangrove canoe tour. Unfortunately, we couldn't go to Barasu Island due to the weather.

Yubu Island has cute water buffalo and beautiful nature, and I really enjoyed it. There were also animals and birds along the way to Yubu Island, which was a lot of fun.

It was my first time kayaking in the mangroves, and I had a great time. I've often seen photos of mangrove tunnels, but the mangroves we visited were quite small, so I hope to see larger ones next time.

Before going on the canoe tour, we were told that the guide would take photos with a GoPro, so we didn't need to bring our smartphones. However, our guide used something like a digital camera instead. All the photos had a foggy appearance in the middle. I thought it might be mist, but since the same area was white, I believe it was due to lens fogging. I wanted to capture great memories in photos, but they didn't turn out well, which is disappointing. I wish they had used a GoPro instead. I wonder if it varies by guide.

由布島とマングローブカヌーツアーに参加しました。バラス島は天気の関係で行くことができませんでした。
由布島にはかわいい水牛や美しい自然がありとても楽しめました。また、由布島に行くまでの道にも動物や鳥がいてとても楽しめました。
マングローブカヤックも初めてだったので楽しかったです。マングローブのトンネルのような写真をよく見ますが、私たちが行ったところのマングローブは、小さかった？ので次はもっと大きいマングローブを見たいです。
カヌーツアーに行く前に、写真は、ガイドさんがゴープロで撮るのでスマートフォンは、持っていかなくても大丈夫と言われましたが、私たちのガイドさんはゴープロではなく、デジカメ？のようなもので撮影をしてくれました。全ての写真の真ん中あたりにモヤがかかっていました。霧かな？とも思いましたが、ほぼ同じ場所が白いのでレンズの曇りだと思います。せっかくの思い出を写真にのこしたかったのですが、あまりいい写真ではなく、残念です。また、ゴープロで撮影してほしかったです。ガイドさんによって違うのでしょうか。

We planned a family trip to Miyako Island to celebrate our children's high school and middle school graduations, and we participated in snorkeling and pumpkin cave exploration at their request. There were foreign participants, and I was impressed by the instructor's fluent English explanations. I felt sorry for having them repeat the same story twice, so I made an effort to listen carefully.

During snorkeling, they thoroughly taught us where the sea turtles were resting, and they took underwater family photos repeatedly until we got good angles. Thank you for being such a dedicated photographer!

子供達の高校、中学卒業記念に家族で宮古島旅行を計画し、子供達リクエストのシュノーケルとパンプキン洞窟探索に参加させてもらいました。外国人の参加者がいらして、インストラクターさんの饒舌な英語説明にも関心いたしました。二度同じ話をしてもらうのが申し訳なく必死でヒアリングさせてもらいました。
シュノーケルではウミガメが眠っている場所をしっかり教えて頂いたり、家族での水中写真はいいアングルで撮れるまで何度も繰り返し撮影して頂き、身体を張ってのカメラマン役をありがとうございました。

The weather was great, and I had an amazing time! The guide, Yume, provided clear explanations on the mangroves and how to paddle a canoe. We also took a lot of photos, which became wonderful memories!

I had a great time kayaking. The explanations were easy to understand and interesting. I would love to try it again if I have the chance.

I love traveling, and usually, I'm satisfied after visiting a place once and then look for a different destination. However, the Yaeyama Islands, especially Iriomote Island, have become a place I want to visit again. I've heard that this phenomenon is called "Yaeyama disease" locally. Ishigaki Island, Yufu Island, and Taketomi Island were also great, but Iriomote Island stands out as the most captivating island among them.

旅行が好きで、取り敢えず一度行けば満足して次の違う場所を探すのですが、八重山諸島、特に西表島は、又行きたい所になりました。
現地では、この現象を八重山病とよぶそうです。
石垣島や由布島、竹富島も良かったのですが、西表島は、その中でもダントツに魅力を感じる島です。

The guide, Sho-chan, was a very cheerful and fun person. He demonstrated a backflip dive into the river from a high place, and it was amazing.

高いところからの川への飛び込みの見本をバク転でやってくれて、すごかったです。

On April 1st, it rained on and off and the wind was strong, so the conditions weren't great, but I was able to have experiences that I wouldn't normally have. The amount of water at the Piñalasa Falls was incredibly impressive and powerful. It was a memorable experience that I could never have under normal circumstances. The guide was also very enjoyable.

4月1日の当日は、雨が降ったりやんだり、また風が強くあまり良いコンディションではなかったですが、それなりに普段体験できないような体験ができました。ピナイサーラの滝のみずの量が半端じゃなくすごい迫力がありました。普段では絶対できない体験で印象深かったです。ガイドさんがとてもよく楽しかったです。

This package tour includes floating, kayaking, and exploring the pumpkin limestone cave. Early in the morning while floating, we saw four sea turtles and countless colorful tropical fish. Of course, there was also Nemo. The guide helped us take beautiful photos with the sea turtles and Nemo. Then we moved on to kayaking. After about 15 minutes of paddling, we arrived at the entrance of the limestone cave. With the tide, we entered the cave. It was a whole new world. Climbing up the pumpkin stone led to yet another realm. On the way back, we had to jump into the water and swim out of the limestone cave. It was truly an adventure with no dull moments.

This tour is suitable for all ages. On that day, our group had a total of eight people. I participated alone at 53 years old, while the others included a family of three and a group of four university students.

這個套裝行程，包含浮濳，滑獨木舟和南瓜鍾乳石洞探險。一早浮濳就看到4隻海龜和無數濱紛的熱帶魚。當然也有Nemo。導遊會幫你和海龜，Nemo照美美的像。然後移動去滑獨木舟。大約滑15分鐘後，就至鍾乳石洞洞口。配合潮水，濳入鍾乳石洞。別有洞天。攀爬上南瓜石，又是另一個世界。回程要跳水，再濳出鍾乳石洞。名符其實的探險。無冷場。
老少咸宜的行程。當天我們這一組共8人。我53歲一個人參加，其他為3人家族和4人大學生團體。

I was able to see sea turtles and clownfish while snorkeling, which became my best memory of this trip. It was also my first time canoeing, and I had a lot of fun! Unfortunately, I couldn't enter the Pumpkin Cave due to the waves, so I want to try again next time! The plan was changed to include both canoeing and snorkeling, which was very kind of them! The guide was also fun to talk to, and I would like to request him again next time!

シュノーケルでは、ウミガメやクマノミ等が見れ、この度一番の思い出になりました。
カヌーも初めてでしたが、楽しかったです！
波の影響でパンプキン鍾乳洞に入れなかったので、また次回リベンジしたいです！

The staff working diligently and efficiently in the rain left a strong impression on me. I was very happy with their engaging storytelling that included interesting facts, their polite explanations, and their thoughtful gesture of giving my son a mangrove leaf to entertain him! Despite the bad weather during my first trip to Okinawa, it became a wonderful memory.

雨が降る中、一生懸命てきぱきとお仕事をしているスタッフの方が印象的でした。
面白い知識などを交えた話術、丁寧な説明、息子にもマングローブの葉っぱ？をくださったり楽しませようとしてくださる気持ちがとても嬉しかったです！

The weather was cloudy, but I had a great time! I chose a plan packed with activities like canoeing, exploring a limestone cave, and stand-up paddleboarding! I wasn't confident in my physical strength and was anxious since it was all my first time, but I was able to spend the day with peace of mind. Thank you very much! The explanations about the plants, fish, and limestone cave were easy to understand and educational. It made me want to protect nature! Everyone was kind, and the conversations were enjoyable—it was the best!

It's a mystical cave that can only be accessed through a tour! The weather was bad and I hesitated, but I'm glad I joined the tour since it's not possible to go on your own! The guide was very kind and provided various explanations! I was surprised at how spacious the inside of the cave was, even more than I imagined.

We had a great time throughout the day.
It was our family's first canoeing experience, and everyone was super excited!
In the cave, we had a thrilling experience and got to see the stalactites that took many years to form, which was wonderful.
The snorkeling after our meal was also great, as we saw sea turtles, clownfish, and beautiful tropical fish.

It was my first time canoeing, and I was able to paddle quite a distance on my own while thoroughly enjoying nature. The guide provided excellent support, so I felt safe and had a great time. It was an experience that would have been impossible to do alone, and I had so much fun. Ishigaki Island is truly beautiful, and I definitely want to go back. Thank you very much.

I went to Ishigaki Island to enjoy the blue sea and starry sky, but unfortunately, it was cloudy and rainy for all four days. I was looking forward to snorkeling, and although we made it to the location, it was canceled. It was disappointing, but I appreciated that they had prepared well for us to enter the sea, and I gained more trust in them for making the decision to cancel without hesitation for safety reasons. Thank you to the staff who provided helpful information and entertained us with games on the way there and back. I will definitely come back for a revenge trip. I look forward to seeing you again then.

青い海と星空を目的に石垣島に行きましたが、残念ながら4日間とも曇りと雨😭
楽しみにしていたシュノーケリングは現地まで行きましたが、中止に。残念でしたが、海に入れるようにしっかり準備してくださってたのに、安全の為に躊躇なく中止の決断されたことに、むしろ信頼できると好感度アップでした。行き帰りお役立ち情報やゲームで楽しませてくれたスタッフさん、ありがとうございました。必ずリベンジに行きます。その時はまた、よろしくお願いします。

We participated as a family of three. It was our first time snorkeling, and since we were going to a cave, I had some anxiety right up until the moment we started, even though I had read about the experience. I trusted the instructor's words that it would be totally fine even if I couldn't swim or was new to snorkeling, and off we went into the sea.

The clarity of the water, the mystical colors of the cave, and the guidance from the instructor made it truly the best experience ever. I had so much fun that I can't even remember what I was worried about. We took a lot of photos and videos, which became great memories. I regret not participating sooner. It was so amazing that I even signed up for the hotel’s snorkeling tour the next day (although it ended up being canceled due to the waves). I definitely want to participate again!

家族3人で参加させていただきました。
初めてのシュノーケル、しかも洞窟まで行くということで、体験談は読んでいたものの寸前まで不安がありました。
泳ぎが出来なくても、シュノーケルが初めてでもぜんぜん大丈夫てです！というインストラクターの方の言葉を信じ、いざ海へ。
海の透明度、洞窟の神秘的な色、インストラクターの方の誘導、ホントにホントに最高の体験でした。何が不安だったのか思い出せないくらい、楽しくて夢中になりました。
写真、ビデオも沢山撮っていただいて、それも良い記念になりました。
なぜ今まで参加しなかったのか後悔です。
あまりの素晴らしさに、翌日ホテルのシュノーケルツアーに申し込んだくらいです。

I wanted to enjoy the nature of Ishigaki Island, so I signed up for SUP and snorkeling. Unfortunately, the weather didn't turn out to be the clear skies I had hoped for, but thanks to our guide and everyone else in the same team, I had a very enjoyable and wonderful day.

During the morning SUP experience, we had a very cheerful guide, and my wife, daughter, and the other participants were all smiles. SUP surrounded by the mangroves and banyan trees in the great outdoors was fantastic.

In the afternoon, we went snorkeling. Although it was cloudy, the underwater scenery was more beautiful than I had imagined, and the guide was very thorough and kind in his explanations, allowing us to fully enjoy the waters of Ishigaki. Additionally, the guide shared recommendations for delicious places to eat, which was very helpful.

石垣島の自然を楽しみたかったので、SUPとシュノーケリングにエントリーしました。
天候は、残念ながら期待していた快晴とまではならなかったのですが、ガイドさんや、同じチームで参加された皆さんのお陰で、とても楽しく素敵な1日を過ごすことができました。
午前中のSUP体験ではとてもオモシロ陽気なガイドさんがついてくれて、妻も娘も他の参加者もずっと笑顔でした。マングローブやガジュマルの木に囲まれた大自然の中でのSUPは最高でした。
午後からはシュノーケリング。天気はくもりだったのですが、海の中は想像以上に美しく、ガイドさんもとても丁寧で親切に説明してくれるので、石垣の海を満喫する事ができました。
また、ガイドさんは美味しいお店など石垣の楽しみかたも教えてくれて参考になりました。

On the first day of our trip to Ishigaki Island, we signed up for a sunset SUP with my family of three. Although it was cloudy and we couldn't see the sunset, our guide provided excellent support for us beginners, allowing us to enjoy the experience with peace of mind. 初めての、石垣島旅行の初日にサンセットSUPを家族3人で申し込みました。当日は曇りで夕焼けは見れませんでしたが、ガイドの方は、初心者の私達にもしっかりフォローしてくださったので、安心して楽しめました。マングローブの中を探検気分で進んで写真も撮っていただいて家族で大変良い思い出になりました。どうもありがとうございました。

The journey to the top of Pinay Sara Falls was more challenging than I expected, but the view made all the fatigue disappear. Since it was the end of March, the water at the base of the falls was cold, but it felt refreshing. The guide took us on various detours and provided explanations, which made it enjoyable for the children as well. The canoe trip was also nice, as we could go slowly and observe various things along the way, making it a great experience. However, the next day, I suffered from severe muscle pain due to my usual lack of exercise... I highly recommend participating.

ピナイサーラの滝の頂上への道のりは、思っていたよりも大変でしたが、あの景色を見ると疲れも吹き飛びます。
3月末の時期だったので、滝壺の水は冷たかったですが、気持ちよかったです。
ガイドの方もいろいろ寄り道しながら、説明していただいたりしたので、子どもたちも楽しく参加できました。
カヌーでの道程も、ゆっくり進むことができて、いろいろ観察しながら行けたので、良い経験でした。
ただ、翌日は普段運動不足のため、筋肉痛が酷かったです。。。
参加はおすすめします。

I participated with my 9-year-old and 11-year-old children and my wife, and physically, there were no problems at all. Our guide happily shared the history and secrets related to the Pumpkin Cave. They were also knowledgeable about snorkeling spots where we could see Nemo and sea turtles, allowing us to move smoothly through the activities.

9歳と11歳の子供と妻と一緒に参加しましたが、体力的には全く問題なかったです。担当ガイドの方からはパンプキン鍾乳洞にまつわる歴史や秘密を楽しく教えてもらえました。シュノーケルもニモやウミガメが見られるスポットを把握されており、スムーズに回る事ができました。

We headed to Pumpkin Cave by canoe! Once we arrived, we got off the canoe and entered the cave! It was a bit cold inside, but I was captivated by the beautiful stalactites formed over many years✨ In the afternoon, we went snorkeling to see sea turtles! Within just a few minutes of getting in, we encountered a sea turtle, and the handsome guide took some wonderful photos for us😘 It became a truly great memory!

午後からはウミガメを観にシュノーケリングを行いました！入って数分でウミガメに遭遇でき、イケメンのお兄さんガイドの方に素敵な写真も撮っていただきました😘

Iriomote Island and Barasu Island Snorkeling and Mangrove Canoeing Experience

Recently, I had the opportunity to experience snorkeling at Barasu Island and canoeing through the mangrove forest in the hidden gem of Okinawa, Iriomote Island. A day surrounded by nature on this island was truly a series of extraordinary moments!

1. Snorkeling at Barasu Island
First, we took a 10-minute boat cruise to Barasu Island. This small uninhabited island is made up of coral fragments, featuring sparkling white sandy beaches and emerald green waters. Once I donned my snorkel and entered the sea, it felt like a natural aquarium! Colorful tropical fish swam right in front of me, and vibrant coral reefs spread out beneath the surface. The water clarity was exceptional, allowing me to see far into the distance, which was breathtaking. The boundary with Barasu Island was quite deep, making me feel a bit uneasy. Before I knew it, I had lost track of time while swimming in delight.

2. Canoeing in the Mangrove Forest
After snorkeling, I sought a more leisurely experience by joining a canoe tour through the mangrove forest. Along the rivers of Iriomote Island lies one of Japan's largest mangrove forests, where you can explore at a relaxed pace while paddling. The guide carefully taught us how to paddle, which was reassuring. As we glided smoothly over the calm water, the sounds of birds chirping and the wind rustling through the jungle made me feel as if I were in another world. According to the guide, this mangrove forest plays a crucial role in protecting the island from typhoons and storm surges. I learned that one particular leaf was yellow because it contained salt and was existing as a dry leaf, which reminded me of the strength and beauty of nature.

3. Reflecting on the Experience
The beautiful sea of Barasu Island and the mysterious mangrove forest allowed me to fully experience the grandeur of Iriomote Island's nature. I felt the richness of the ocean through snorkeling and was healed by the tranquility of the forest while canoeing—this combination is simply the best! Moreover, the nature of Iriomote Island is not only beautiful but also a place where one can truly appreciate the balance of the ecosystem and the importance of environmental conservation. I hope many people can enjoy this wonderful experience! Next time, I would like to participate in a night tour and meet the Yaeyama fireflies and other nocturnal creatures!

西表島バラス島シュノーケリングとマングローブ林カヌー体験談
先日、沖縄の秘境・西表島でバラス島シュノーケリングとマングローブ林カヌーを体験してきました。大自然に囲まれたこの島での一日は、まさに非日常の連続でした！
1. バラス島でのシュノーケリング
まずはバラス島へ向かうため、船で約10分のクルーズ。バラス島はサンゴのかけらが堆積してできた小さな無人島で、白く輝く砂浜とエメラルドグリーンの海が広がっています。
シュノーケルを装着し海に入ると、そこはまるで天然の水族館！色鮮やかな熱帯魚たちが目の前を泳ぎ、元気なサンゴ礁が広がっていました。透明度も抜群で、遠くまでクリアに見渡せるのも感動的でした。バラス島との境界線は、深くなっており足が少しすくみました。夢中になって泳いでいるうちに、あっという間に時間が過ぎてしまいました。
2. マングローブ林でのカヌー体験
シュノーケリングの後は、のんびりとした時間を求めてマングローブ林のカヌーツアーへ。西表島の川沿いには、日本最大級のマングローブ林が広がっており、ゆったりとカヌーを漕ぎながら探検することができます。ガイドさんが漕ぎ方を丁寧に教えてくれたので安心。穏やかな水面を滑るように進んでいくと、周囲のジャングルから鳥のさえずりや風の音が聞こえてきて、まるで別世界にいるような気分でした。ガイドさんの話によると、このマングローブ林は台風や高潮から島を守る大切な役割を果たしているそうで、また一つの葉っぱだけが黄色くなっており、それは塩分などを含み枯葉として存在しているとの豆情報を教えてくれたりと自然の力強さと美しさを改めて感じることができました。
3. 体験を終えて
バラス島の美しい海と、神秘的なマングローブ林。この2つのアクティビティを通じて、西表島の壮大な自然を全身で感じることができました。シュノーケリングで海の豊かさを体感し、カヌーで森の静けさに癒される——この組み合わせは最高です！
また、西表島の自然はただ美しいだけでなく、生態系のバランスや環境保全の大切さも実感できる場所でした。ぜひ、多くの人にこの素晴らしい体験を味わってほしいと思います！
次回はナイトツアーにも参加して、ヤエヤマホタルや夜の生き物たちにも出会ってみたいなと思いました♪

After paddling 1.5 km by sea kayak, we finally reached the entrance of the Blue Cave. We prepared for snorkeling on the rocky shore and then headed into the Blue Cave! The beautiful blue glow inside the cave is a sight you must see for yourself. After that, we enjoyed snorkeling among the coral reefs, greeting the colorful fish while playing with jellyfish. After snorkeling, we paddled back 1.5 km to the shop. The guide was very attentive and taught us many things, making it a truly enjoyable experience! It was a very satisfying tour! シーカヤックで片道1.5kmをえっちらおっちらひたすら漕いで、青の洞窟の入り口まで。。。
岩場でシュノーケリングの準備をして、いざ青の洞窟へ！！！
美しい青色に輝く洞窟の中はぜひご自分の目でご覧いただきたい景色・風景です。
その後、珊瑚礁を海月と戯れながらシュノーケリングで美しい色のお魚さんたちにご挨拶♪
シュノーケリングの後は再びシーカヤックを1.5km漕いでショップまで。。。
ガイドさんがつきっきりで色々なことを教えてくださいますし、楽しいの一言です！
