It had been about 10 years since I participated in the Pinai Sawa Falls tour, and I had a great time. The tour members were quite a lively bunch, but the guide was calm and attentive, which made me feel at ease.

As expected, the view from the top of the falls was amazing, but looking down always makes my legs feel weak... (laughs)

I truly felt that the experience in that space can only be had in Iriomote Island, and I would love to go again. I also hope to join other tours if I have the stamina... (laughs)

あの空間の体験は西表島でしかできないと改めて感じたところですが、

The tour guide did an excellent job guiding us. When my partner was struggling with how to paddle the canoe, the guide helped by pulling us along with a rope and made sure to communicate effectively, which was very helpful. Being over sixty, I found canoeing in the summer heat quite challenging, and the subsequent trekking involved some steep paths, so even the half-day course required a fair amount of stamina. However, the stunning views we reached were truly moving, and jumping into the cool waters of the waterfall felt exceptional after the heat. The guide also took many photos for us and pointed out great spots for Instagram, resulting in some wonderful pictures that I wanted to post. Additionally, the rice balls we had for lunch were made with local rice and were very tasty. This was my second time at Pinaisara, while it was my partner's first, and it turned out to be a wonderful memory. Although it was a bit tough on a hot day, I’m glad we participated.

ツアーガイドさんはそつなく上手にガイドしてくださいました。相方がカヌーの漕ぎ方に戸惑っていたところ、紐でつないでひっぱって進んでくださったり、きちんと目配せもしてくださって助かりました。自分が還暦越えの年齢だというのもありますが、夏の暑さの中でのカヌー漕ぎはそれなりに大変ですし、その後のトレッキングもけっこう険しい道を進むので、半日コースでもそれなりに体力を使います。そうしてたどり着いた先の景色のよさには感動ひとしおですし、火照った体で飛び込む滝壺の気持ちよさも格別でした。ガイドさんには写真もたくさんとっていただいて、インスタ映えするポイントなんかも教えていただき、投稿に使いたくなる上手な写真が多かったのもよかったです。あと、昼食でいただいたおにぎりも地元のお米ということで、とてもよいお味でした。自分は2回目のピナイサーラ、相方は初めてでしたが、とてもいい思い出になり、暑い日で少し大変でしたが、参加してよかったと思いました。

It was my first time on a SUP, and I'm glad I could do it. At first, I was a bit anxious, but the weather was nice, and I really enjoyed the beautiful Kabira Bay. The staff were kind, funny, and really made the experience enjoyable! During the ride, they also shared various recommendations for places in Ishigaki, making the shuttle ride fun as well. They took a lot of photos for us too. I just wish I could have stayed on the SUP a little longer since I finally got the hang of it. Other than that, I have nothing to complain about. We could only enter near the entrance of the Blue Cave, not deep inside. According to the guide, this area has the most beautiful colors.

I was worried about whether I could fly because the wind was strong, but somehow I managed to do it. It was tough waiting because the boat was rocking, but they said it usually doesn't sway that much.
The view from above was amazing! I was glad to see such beautiful scenery from up high. The GoPro I used to take selfies also captured quite a bit, which was nice.

風が強くて出来るか不安でしたが、どうにか飛べました。待っている間は船が揺れて辛かったですが、普段はそんなには揺れないと言ってました。
空の上は最高でした!綺麗な景色を上から眺められて良かったです。

ゴール地点まではひたすら登って行くので大変でしたが、帰りはハラハラドキドキしながらのジップラインやウォータースライダー、滝つぼジャンプなど楽しみが盛りだくさんでした。森の中は涼しく楽しめました。
次の日は全身筋肉痛ですが参加できて良かったです。年齢制限があるのも納得出来ました。やれるうちに参加すべきです。

I participated in the afternoon session. The weather was nice, and the sea was very beautiful! The seawater was warm, and I felt comfortable going into the water. It was my first time trying stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), but the instructions were thorough, and we started by sitting down, which made me feel at ease! Once I got the hang of it and tried paddling while standing, I could see the sparkling surface of the sea, and it felt amazing! We had a guide named Yuka who took care of us. She was attentive to our health and equipment, and even though we hadn't been in the ocean for over ten years and felt a bit anxious, we were able to enjoy ourselves with peace of mind. It was also appreciated that she waited for participants who were late or had drifted away before providing information to everyone.

Unfortunately, we didn't encounter any sea turtles while snorkeling, but we were able to see clownfish and various other fish and creatures, which was satisfying enough.

During the SUP, I fell into the sea a few times, but once I got the hang of it, I was able to stand up, so I think even those like me who aren't very good with core strength can enjoy it.

The meeting point was a bit hard to understand. I was informed about the meeting location the day before, but I couldn't answer the phone due to travel, so I ended up receiving a text message. I appreciated the text message, but the parking area at the meeting point was large, and there were other tour groups as well, so I would have liked to have some kind of landmark provided. I think it would be good for future participants to confirm in advance via phone or text message.

シュノーケリングでは残念ながらウミガメに遭遇はできませんでしたが、クマノミやその他様々な魚や生き物を見ることができたので十分満足できました。

SUPでは私は何度か海に落ちましたが、慣れれば立つこともできたので、体幹の良くない私のような方でも楽しむことができると思います。

集合については少しだけわかりにくかったです。集合場所は前日のご連絡とのことでしたが、前日は移動で電話に出ることができず、ショートメールでの連絡となってしまいました。ショートメールで連絡いただけただけでもありがたいのですが、集合場所の駐車場は広く、また他のツアーの方々もいらっしゃったので、目印のようなものも併せて教えていただきたかったです。今後参加される方は、電話やショートメールで事前に確認されると良いかと思います。

We used an early morning flight. Since it was September, after the peak summer vacation season, we were the only ones, so it turned into a private tour. I heard that there are usually long lines at the Blue Cave, but we had almost the whole place to ourselves. The weather was also great, and the water was incredibly clear. The fish came up to us so closely during feeding that it was a bit scary. They took photos for us, which was great since I couldn't take them myself, making for wonderful memories.

I went snorkeling first, and as soon as I entered the water, I was able to see a sea turtle up close, which was very cute. In the morning, I did stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) at the Michelin-selected Kabira Bay! The sea was sparkling and truly beautiful... The scenery with the mountains and sandy beach in the background was unforgettable. Since swimming is prohibited in this area, I strongly recommend joining a tour to feel the beautiful sea up close!

The number of participants in this tour was not too many for one instructor, which made it easy to paddle and ask questions, so that was great! In the afternoon, the snorkeling at the Blue Cave allowed us to see many fish even from the shallow waters, and I was able to fully enjoy the beautiful sea after a long time. We were worried about damaging or losing our phones, so we entrusted all the photos to the staff, and it was nice that they took wonderful pictures for us!

Also, although it’s unrelated to the tour content, on the way to Kabira Bay, an elderly lady fell on the sidewalk. The tour participants were asked for permission, and they immediately pulled over to the side of the road to handle the situation with an ambulance. They managed to recover the time lost without shortening the activity time and even checked on our plans after the activities...!

It was a very well-organized tour that provided a sense of security, and all the staff were incredibly warm, making it one of my great memories of summer!

背景の山や砂浜すら、目に焼きつく光景でした。
遊泳禁止の場所ですから、ツアーに参加して、美しい海を、より近くに感じられることを強くお勧めします！
このツアーは参加者人数も、1人のインストラクター？につき多すぎることがないので、漕ぎにくさや質問しにくさ等がなかった点も良かったです！
午後の青の洞窟シュノーケルも浅瀬から、たくさんの魚を見ることが出来て、久しぶりの綺麗な海を満喫することができました。
私たちは、ケータイを破損紛失することが怖かったので、お写真は全てお任せしていましたが、素敵な写真を残してくれたことも良かったです！

また、ツアー内容とは関係ありませんが
川平湾に向かう途中、お婆様が歩道で転倒。
ツアー参加者の私たちに許可を取って、すぐに車を路肩に停め、救急車対応をしていました。
遅延してしまった時間も、アクティビティの時間を短縮することなく回収し、アクティビティ後の予定についても確認をして下さりました。。。！

とてもきちんとしたツアーで安心感もあり
スタッフの方皆さん、とっても温かい方ばかりで、夏の良い思い出の一つとなりました！

In the morning, I participated in snorkeling, and in the afternoon, I joined a SUP session. The weather was nice, and it seemed like the sea was very clear, which made for wonderful memories.

Although I didn't get to see any sea turtles while snorkeling, there were plenty of clownfish, and I was able to take photos with them.

Both participants were 59 years old! We were right at the age limit. If we don't try now, it might be impossible next year... so we challenged ourselves with SUP and snorkeling. The beauty of Kabira Bay is stunning. Thanks to the staff's fun yet safety-conscious guidance, the day flew by. The calm bay with its blue gradient and the fluorescent fish we saw while snorkeling were amazing! I'm really glad we participated. It's perfectly fine for middle-aged and older adults up to 60 years old. I was able to stand on the SUP, and even if you fall into the sea, it's still fun! I highly recommend it.

The weather was great, and it turned out to be a very enjoyable SUP experience! The first time I rode in Kerama, I fell into the sea multiple times, but this time, whether it was because of the good board and shoes, I glided smoothly without falling even once. The edge of Kabira Bay had shallow areas, allowing me to paddle with peace of mind. The instructor was very friendly and took lots of wonderful photos. The conversations during the round trip to the SUP venue were also a lot of fun! Thank you for the wonderful Ishigaki experience. I want to go again!

I was worried about kayaking for the first time, but I was able to paddle happily thanks to the guide's lecture. They took a lot of photos in various situations, which became wonderful memories. Although it was a bit disappointing that the changing area was a tent and there was no shower, the fun experience was more than enough thanks to Tommy (the guide).

They let us choose either snorkeling in another spot or just do kayaking in the mangrove area. Since we had done scuba diving in the alternative spot previously, we decided to do only kayaking.

It was a very relaxing and fun kayaking tour along the mangroves! We could choose either kayak or stand-up paddleboard (SUP). My friend chose SUP instead. The instructor had good knowledge about nature (of course including mangroves) and he taught us details all along. I appreciate that he took pictures of us during the tour and gave them (more than 100 pics!) to us.
