I signed up for a tour on the afternoon of the day I arrived. I took a direct bus from the airport to the terminal, where I was able to check my luggage, and on the way back, I was taken to my hotel. Unfortunately, it was a day with light rain, but I enjoyed my experience on Taketomi Island enough for my first visit. If I go again, I would like to take my time sightseeing more.
着いた日の午後のツアーに申し込みました。空港からバスで直行ターミナルに直行し、荷物を預かってもらい、帰りはホテルまで送ってもらえました。
あいにく小雨がぱらつく日でしたが、初めての竹富島での体験としては十分楽しめました。次回行くことがあれば、もっとゆっくり観光したいと思います。

It was painful to hear the guide continuously express resentment about the good parts of Okinawa being taken away due to the barbed wire around the U.S. military base.
It was disappointing that the main aquarium was last on the itinerary, and perhaps due to traffic, we lost time. I wish we could have visited the aquarium first and saved the other souvenir shops for later.

恨み節が永遠とつづいたのが 苦痛でした。
メインの水族館が最後になり 渋滞のせいか時間が削られたの残念でした

I was told to take the 8 AM ferry from Ishigaki Island, but when I arrived at the ferry terminal, I was informed that they were doing maintenance and it was uncertain if it would leave at 8. I panicked a bit, but when I called to confirm, they smoothly assured me that the 8:30 ferry would be fine.
The explanation for the canoeing was easy to understand. Since it was my third time canoeing, I was able to get on smoothly. They also provided explanations about the mangroves. We enjoyed a leisurely float, even with some canoe traffic.
Once we reached the point, we started trekking. We climbed along a bumpy path while receiving explanations about the plants and taking photos. It was hot under the blazing sun, and I was sweating a lot. But we finally arrived safely.
The waterfall was flowing down with incredible force, and the splashes felt great. With most of the other tour participants having left, it felt almost like a private experience—so luxurious!
While enjoying the magnificent waterfall, we had handmade rice balls. They were large, but the rice was delicious, and I finished them all. Thank you for the meal!
I dipped just my feet into the Takitsubo, and it was cold. Before I knew it, my sweat had dried, and I started to feel a bit chilly, so we set off. We slowly made our way back to the canoe landing.
The canoe traffic on the way back was a stark contrast to the earlier congestion, and we floated leisurely. All I could hear were the sounds of birds. Was it a crested serpent eagle? Or a peacock? The breeze and sunlight felt just right, making it very pleasant.
After that, we rode a water buffalo cart to Yufu Island. While on the cart, they played the sanshin. It was so relaxing. Go, water buffalo!
Upon arriving at Yufu Island, we leisurely toured while eating gelato. We also observed the golden pupae before heading back.
It was a very fulfilling and enjoyable day from the morning. I am extremely satisfied.
石垣島から８時のフェリーに乗ってきてと言われていましたが、当日フェリー乗り場に行くと、点検修理してるので８時に出るか分からないと言われプチパニック。電話で確認すると８時半のフェリーでも大丈夫とすんなり対応してくださいました。
カヌーの説明もわかりやすかったです。
カヌーは3度目だったのでスムーズに乗れました。マングローブの説明もしてくださいました。カヌー渋滞もありつつのんびりぷかぷか。
ポイントに付き、トレッキング開始〜。凸凹道を登り、植物の説明など受けながら写真撮影もしていただきよっこらしょ。お日様にガンガン照らされて暑。汗だくになりつつ、よっこらどっこい。無事到着〜。
すごい勢いで流れ落ちれる滝。水しぶきが気持ちいい〜。他のツアーの方も帰られほぼ貸切状態。贅沢〜〜。
壮大な滝を見ながら手作りおにぎりいただきました〜。大きかったけどお米が美味しく、ペロリと完食〜〜。ごちそうさまでした。
タキツボへは足だけチャプチャプつかりにいきました。冷たかったです〜。いつのまにか汗もひき微妙に寒く感じてきた頃合いに出発。来た道をゆっくり戻ってカヌー乗り場まで。
行きしなのカヌー渋滞が嘘のよう〜貸切状態でのんびりぷかぷか。聞こえるのは鳥の鳴き声。カンムリワシかな？クジャクかな？風も日光もいい感じでとても気持ちいい。
その後は水牛車に乗って由布島へ〜。
水牛車に乗りながら三線引いてくださいました。のんびりー。水牛さん頑張って〜。
由布島到着。ジェラート食べながらゆっくり観光〜〜。金色蛹も観察して帰路へ。
朝からとても充実した楽しい1日でした〜。大満足です。

At Okinawa World, I watched an Eisa dance show and a show featuring the habu snake and mongoose. I thoroughly enjoyed the Churaumi Aquarium for two and a half hours. I also had squid ink pasta at a café with a view of the large tank with whale sharks. I recommend adding lobster to the optional steak dinner.
美ら海水族館は２時間半と堪能できました。ジンベイサメのいる大水槽が見えるカフェでイカスミパスタも食べました。オプションのステーキディナーはオプションでロブスターをつけるのがおすすめです。

Due to bad weather, we could only do stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) instead of snorkeling, but I was happy to be able to do at least one activity! It was my first time doing SUP, and the guidance was so thorough that I didn't have any trouble. The explanations about each spot during the SUP were very interesting, and we talked throughout the tour about recommended sightseeing spots in Ishigaki and good places to eat, which made it very enjoyable.
Although it was a tour that only covered the first half, the weather can change quickly in that area, so that couldn't be helped. The mangrove forest felt even more like a hidden gem, and since it's rare to do activities in a river as an adult, it was a valuable experience. I think I will request another tour when I come back to Ishigaki! Thank you!

初めてのSUPでしたが、丁寧に案内していただいたので困ることもなく、SUP中の各スポットについての説明は非常に興味深く、他にも石垣観光のおすすめスポット、おすすめのご飯屋さんなどについて、終始お話ししながらのツアーでとても楽しめました。
前半のみ実施のツアーでしたが、天候が変わりやすい場所なのでそこは仕方ないのと、マングローブの森は秘境感が増して楽しかったですし、大人になってから川でアクティビティをすることもなかなかないので貴重な経験でした。

First, we took a 45-minute boat ride from Ishigaki Island to Iriomote Island. Upon arriving on the island, the untouched nature created a unique atmosphere that was unlike Ishigaki Island. From the ferry terminal, we headed to Yubu Island. We rode the famous water buffalo cart to cross from Iriomote Island. Being pulled by the water buffalo through the shallow sea was a slow and scenic experience. Of course, the views were spectacular!
On Yubu Island, we were served lunch and enjoyed delicious local cuisine. After lunch, we returned to Iriomote Island for a mangrove cruise on the Nakama River. The cruise, surrounded by nature that you can't experience on the mainland, was very refreshing. The boat then took us back to the ferry terminal, and next, we moved on to Taketomi Island.
Taketomi Island was also enveloped in a relaxed atmosphere, making it feel like a waste to just do a day trip. I found myself wishing to stay longer while freely exploring the island.
There are about three to four boats from Taketomi Island to Ishigaki Island, so it was convenient to catch a boat at a suitable time. I visited Taketomi Island on a Saturday, but many shops were closed (either for the day or due to early closing hours), so it was a bit of a relief to return to Ishigaki Island a little earlier.
Overall, I returned to Ishigaki Island feeling very satisfied. Depending on the boat schedule, you can leave around 8 AM and return by around 5 PM, which isn’t too early or too late, making it manageable for your body. If you can spare a day, I highly recommend it!
先ずは石垣本島から船で45分くらいの西表島へ。
島に着くと石垣島とはまた違う、自然がそのままの状態で残っており何とも言えない雰囲気。
フェリーターミナルからは由布島へ。名物の水牛車に乗って西表島から渡ります。
遠浅の海の中を水牛に引かれてゆっくりと進んでいきます。もちろんここは絶景！
由布島では昼食が提供され、美味しい郷土料理を食せました。
昼食後は再び西表島に戻り、仲間川でのマングローブクルーズへ。本州では味わえない大自然を感じながらのクルーズは気持ちよかったです。
船はそのままフェリーターミナルへ。次は竹富島に移動です。
竹富島もノンビリした雰囲気に包まれており、日帰りしてしまうのがもったいないほど。ここでゆっくり泊まりたいなと思いながら、島内を自由に散策できました。
竹富島から石垣島への船は３～４本の内の、都合のいい時間の船に乗れればいいので、この点も良かったです。竹富島には土曜日に訪問したのですが、休みのお店(休みとか時間的な営業終了)が多かったので、早めに船で石垣島に戻れてちょっと助かりました。
でも総じて大変満足な気分で石垣島に帰ってきました。朝８時頃から船にもよりますが、１７時頃まで、朝早過ぎず帰りも遅過ぎずで身体の負担もそれ程無かったので、１日分の時間が取れるようでしたらオススメいたします。
I recommend visiting on weekdays, excluding weekends and holidays.

The bus guide was very enthusiastic, polite, and kind in their guidance. I'm busy going around to various places. The aquarium is the busiest time, so I recommend the less crowded Tropical Dream Center. It took a lot of time because I went through hotels in Chatan and Onna Village on the way back.

I was able to encounter sea turtles and take beautiful photos, just as the tour title promised. I am very satisfied.
Of course, the sea of Miyako Island is wonderful, and our guide, Yama-chan, was the best guide, always kindly accompanying us and teaching us. Not only did he answer all our questions about sea turtles, but he also provided detailed information about Okinawan fish and ecosystems, allowing us to fully enjoy snorkeling.
Yama-chan, who has a sea turtle tattoo on his leg, genuinely wanted all the tour participants to see sea turtles before returning, which was very heartwarming. He mentioned that if there was ever a guarantee that we might not see sea turtles due to weather issues, he would definitely communicate that clearly. Because he knows the waters of Miyako Island so well, he was able to provide accurate information; he was truly a professional.
When I asked about recommended lunch spots in Miyako Island, he quickly sent various suggestions via Line, which was very nice. The taco rice place he recommended was incredibly delicious. Thank you, Yama-chan!

足にウミガメのタトゥーを掘っているウミガメ好きの山ちゃんの、ツアー客にも絶対ウミガメを観て帰ってほしいという心意気が気持ち良かったです。万が一天候の問題などでウミガメが見れる保証がない場合はしっかりその旨必ず伝えると話していました。宮古島の海を熟知しているからこそ正しい情報を伝えられる、そういうプロでした。
また宮古島のおすすめランチスポットなども聞いたらすぐにLineで色々送ってくれて気持ちが良かったです。実際行ったオススメのタコライスのお店めっちゃ美味しかったです。ありがとう山ちゃん！

During our honeymoon, we participated in a sea turtle photo snorkeling tour in Miyako Island! The water temperature was a bit cold, but I got used to it quickly. The sea was incredibly beautiful, and even as a beginner, I was able to snorkel without any worries. We even encountered sea turtles and were able to swim with them! I was glad to meet the whale shark at the Churaumi Aquarium. The Emerald Beach was also quiet and relaxing. I didn't have high expectations for Pineapple Park, but I ended up having a lot of fun riding around the park in a pineapple cart! I also got to see dinosaurs, and the paid wine tasting was great; the shikwasa wine was delicious!

The starry sky was magnificent, and the guide was amazing. The moment the lights were turned off all at once, the starry sky became a lifelong memory. The Milky Way and shooting stars were incredible. I felt like a child again seeing creatures like the coconut crab and fireflies that I usually can't see. I also learned a lot from the guide about the names of the creatures and delicious local foods in Ishigaki. I was most moved by the young man who is working hard after moving here. I prepared myself for a tough tour that involved walking for 80 minutes straight. The limestone cave, formed from coral, is said to have alkaline and calcium components that do not dissolve human bones. Because of this, the bones of a male from the Port of Nakagawa, dating back tens of thousands of years, were found in a face-down position. During the tour, it felt like being in another world, and it was truly mystical. Additionally, our guide, Mr. Kaneshiro, was very skilled in storytelling, making the 80 minutes fly by. I'm really glad I participated in this tour.

I participated in the mangrove canoeing and Yufu Island course.
Although the weather was unfortunate, I was able to enjoy a relaxing time surrounded by mangroves while canoeing. On Yufu Island, I also had a fulfilling time taking pictures with water buffalo and visiting a café.
There were strong winds, and the ferry to Uehara Port was canceled, so we had to switch from SUP to canoeing. However, I received a thorough explanation about these changes over the phone the day before, which was very helpful.
I would like to visit again next time!
マングローブのカヌーと由布島のコースに参加させていただきました。
天気は生憎でしたが、カヌーにのっていくと、マングローブに囲まれ、のんびりした時間を過ごすことが出来ました☺️
由布島でも、水牛と写真を撮ったりカフェに行ったりと、充実した時間を過ごせました。
風が強く、上原港までのフェリーが出ない、SUPがカヌーに変更になってしまうなどもありましたが、それらについても前日の電話でしっかりと説明して頂き、とても助かりました。
また来た際には伺いたいと思います！

I experienced this on a cloudy day in February, and I was impressed by the clarity of the water while snorkeling! Since it was winter, the water temperature was low, and it felt cold at first, but I got used to it surprisingly quickly. 👍
Right after entering the water, I was able to see a sea turtle and enjoy watching schools of small fish that you would typically see in an aquarium. The scenery was very beautiful!
I found paddleboarding (SUP) to be easier than I expected, and I was able to enjoy it at my own pace!
Both were my first experiences, and they became memorable marine activities!

Asumi Spiritual involves quite a bit of walking on rocky mountains, so I think it's pretty tough. Plus, going around everything is a race against time. Even for someone like me who enjoys visiting historical sites and is used to mountain climbing, I found myself cutting it close to the meeting time while taking photos and videos.
It would be great if there were options for those who stay here and those who go to Yanbaru. For those staying, if they could be picked up on the way back from Yanbaru, I think even those without much stamina could manage.

I'm glad that I was able to visit almost all the places I wanted to go. Unfortunately, the weather was bad, so I mostly enjoyed the view from the car window, but the driver's explanations were excellent, and I had a great time. I also left the choice of dining places to the driver, and since we avoided the crowds by going at a less busy time, that was a good decision.
