I was a bit anxious because I wasn't very confident in my physical stamina, but it turned out to be fulfilling without being overly exhausting! During the first stand-up paddleboarding tour, I was able to enjoy the mangrove forest, and in the next cave tour, I experienced the mystical scenery.

The best course for playing from morning to evening! My 6-year-old daughter has always been afraid of the ocean and has hardly ever put her feet in the water, insisting that she didn't want to try snorkeling. I thought we would end up waiting on the beach with one of the parents again this time, but thanks to the instructor who was very kind and attentive, my daughter was able to enter the water without fuss. Moreover, she was able to master the use of the snorkeling equipment and learned a lot about different types of fish and various ecological features, which sparked her interest in the ocean. The drone footage also captured some great videos and photos, creating wonderful memories for our family. We definitely want to do this again next time.

It was my first experience kayaking, and I was nervous because I’m not very athletic, but I learned how to paddle and gradually got the hang of it while actually on the water. On that day, everyone was in two-person kayaks. We encountered many mangroves and heard fascinating stories about the ancient banyan trees, especially the tale of the Kijimuna (spirit), which was very intriguing. I was also very satisfied to see both the white heron and the black heron. Be prepared to get your backside wet! There are changing rooms available, and you can borrow non-slip sandals. We progressed through the mangroves by canoe and then trekked to Pinai Sara Falls. Along the way, they provided explanations about the flora and fauna and took photos at various points. They even used a 360-degree camera, which was quite innovative. After enjoying handmade Yaeyama soba for lunch, we took a boat to Barasu Island, where we also took commemorative photos. After that, we snorkeled at a snorkeling point for as long as we wanted until time was up. The sea around Iriomote was beautifully adorned with coral, resembling a flower garden, and we even encountered sea turtles, which was incredibly fun.

After arriving in Okinawa on the afternoon flight, I searched for activities and ended up at Sunset Kayak. The weather was perfect, and I was able to enjoy the sunset fully.

Since the beach was almost deserted, I could relax and watch the sun go down, which was a truly luxurious experience. It's essential to wear a swimsuit as you'll get splashed when getting in and while paddling, but you won't get soaked, so it wasn't cold even in November.

After the experience, I appreciated being able to rinse off with a quick warm shower, and it was nice to receive photos on the spot.

午後便で沖縄到着後、何かできるアクティビティがないかと探してたどりついたサンセットカヤック。お天気にも恵まれてしっかり夕日を拝むことができました。
人がほとんどいないビーチなのでのんびりまったりと日が落ちるのを眺められ、とても贅沢な時間でした。乗り込む際や漕いでいると水がかかるので水着は必須ですが、盛大に濡れるわけではないので11月でも寒くありませんでした。

There are morning and afternoon sessions, but I signed up for the morning session from 8:30 to 12:30. After arriving at Iriomote Island by ferry, I met up with the tour guide at the port. Once we arrived at the office, which was about a 5-minute walk, we spent about 10 minutes getting ready (filling out forms and changing clothes), then got into the car and headed to the departure point, which was about a 15-minute drive away. The tour lasted just over three and a half hours, including about 50 minutes of canoeing, 20 minutes of trekking, and nearly 30 minutes of free time at the waterfall, before returning the way we came.

Canoeing was a bit tough at first, but once I got used to it, it became easy and fun to steer. The time allocation for each activity was just right, making it a well-rounded tour that incorporated various adventure elements. When I participated, there were four guests, including myself, and one tour guide. The guide took photos at various points (which can be downloaded later from the website), and the friendly, homey atmosphere created by the guide was wonderful. It felt like I could come back next year, almost like returning home, and I would love to meet this group again!

午前の部と午後の部がありますが、私が申し込んだのは8:30-12:30の午前の部。
フェリーで西表島に到着後、港でツアーガイドさんと合流。徒歩5分くらいの事務所に着いたら、10分程度で準備（申込書記入、着替え）し
、車に乗り込んで15分くらいの所にある出発地点へ。カヌー50分程度、トレッキング20分程度、滝壺で自由時間30分弱、その後来た道を戻る3時間半ちょっとのツアーでした。
カヌーを漕ぐのが少しきついですが、慣れるとスイスイ、方向転換も出来て楽しいし、その他も程よい時間配分なので、様々なアドベンチャー要素をちょうど良く取り込んだ欲張りツアーです。
私が参加した時はツアー客が私含め4人にツアーガイドさん1人。所々でガイドさんが写真を撮ってくれたり（後でホームページからダウンロード出来ます）、何よりガイドさんの気さくさから来るアットホームさが良かったです。また来年、実家に帰るような気分で来れそうな、またこのメンバーに会いに来たいと思えるような素敵な時間でした！

We participated as a couple.
We enjoyed a relaxing time kayaking.
Along the way, there were many little fish (haze) that were very cute.
We also had the opportunity to touch the mangroves, which was a great experience.
Our guide, Mr. Ito, provided various explanations while we were kayaking and introduced us to some delicious restaurants.
Although we participated in October, the sun was strong, so I recommend taking measures against sunburn.
I thought we would be able to go to a jungle-like area with mangroves, but there was no jungle.
We were with a family that had elementary school children, and the kids seemed very satisfied with the fun of paddling by themselves.
It might be a bit lacking for younger people, but it's a tour that families and older couples can enjoy.

途中、トントンミー（ハゼ）が沢山いてとても可愛かったです。
また、マングローブにも触ることができ、いい経験でした。
ガイドの伊藤さんは、カヤックに乗りながらいろんな説明をしてくれ、美味しい店の紹介もしてくれました。
10月の参加でしたが日差しが強く、日焼け止め対策をお勧めします。
マングローブのジャングルみたいな場所を行けると思ってましたが、ジャングルはありません。
小学生連れの家族と一緒でしたが、子供たちは自分で漕げる楽しさにすごく満足している感じでした。
若者にも少し物足りないかもしれませんが、家族連れや年配夫婦は楽しめるツアーです。

The night sky in Iriomote was more beautiful and moving than I had imagined. I had made a reservation the night before, but due to the weather not being great, I changed it to the following day. Thanks to that, our guide, Mr. Iwamoto, kept saying how beautiful the sky would be tonight, and it truly was stunning. While kayaking on the Urauchi River and observing the stars, the bioluminescent plankton glowed every time we paddled, allowing us to enjoy both the sky and the water. We also ventured a little into the mangrove forest. The guide provided various explanations along the way, making the experience even more interesting and enjoyable. I am grateful for the beautiful starry sky, the absence of unnecessary lights at night, and the opportunity to fully enjoy the nature of Iriomote through this wonderful tour.

By the way, since I stayed at Nirakanai, I walked to the location, which took about an hour and a half. I brought a flashlight, but they are available for rent. The kayaking was on calm waters, so I hardly got wet. When getting into the kayak, you walk in the water up to your ankles, so it's best to wear something that can get wet (though they inform you about this in advance…).

前夜に予約していたのですが、天候がいまいちだったので、翌日に変更していただきました。そのおかげで、ガイドの岩本さんも今夜は綺麗に見えますよを繰り返されるほど、綺麗な夜空でした。浦内川をカヤックを漕ぎながらの星空観察で、水面には夜光虫がパドルを漕ぐたびに発光するので、上下と楽しめました。また、マングローブ林にも少しだけ入って行きました。適宜、色々な説明を加えてくださるので、さらに興味深く楽しむことが出来ました。綺麗な星空、無駄な光の無い夜、西表の自然を満喫でき、よいツアーに参加できたことに感謝します。
ちなみにニラカナイに宿泊だったため、移動は徒歩、所要時間1時間半くらい。ライトを持参しましたが、借りられます。穏やかな水面でのカヤックなので、ほぼ水には濡れません。カヤックに乗り込む際に足首くらいまで水中を歩くため足元は濡れてもよい格好がベストです。(事前に教えてくれますが…)

Before the scheduled time, I received a phone call because the meeting place was hard to find (I definitely wouldn't have known without the call). The staff provided the best hospitality.

The sea kayaking was in a private setting with highly transparent water, and they captured the experience with a drone, making me feel like the star of a travel show on TV.

At first, I thought I might have made a mistake by booking since there was a distance between the kayaking location and the Blue Cave (Cape Maeda), but I realized that the distance allowed for this private experience, which turned out to be a great success.

The Blue Cave was truly "blue," with plenty of fish, and if my first snorkeling experience was this good, I’m left wondering where I should go next!

The staff's kind support was also excellent.

I will highly recommend this to my friends and relatives!
