The one-hour hike to an elevation of just 130 meters revealed a breathtaking view that far exceeded my expectations. I felt a surge of gratitude, thinking, "I'm so glad I came." A refreshing breeze swept across my cheeks, which were damp with sweat, while the guide's explanations resonated pleasantly in my ears.

The Pinai Falls has a drop of 55 meters and is said to be the largest in Okinawa Prefecture. It is unique to Iriomote Island, which has the second-largest area in the prefecture and is rich in nature. "Pinai" means "beard," and "sara" means "something that hangs down." It seems that the rock forming the waterfall resembles an old man's face, with the water flow appearing like a long beard.

Having just passed through a typhoon, the water volume was abundant, and the flow was magnificent. In the distance, the marine blue sea and sky blue sky sparkled. Near the horizon, there was Barasu Island, made of coral fragments, and beyond it floated Hatoma Island.

In the foreground, I could see Funauka Bay, and part of the underwater road that connects the east and west of the island, which is also part of Prefectural Road 215. Below, a stream ran through a mangrove forest. It was the Hinai River, and I could see the spot where the canoes, which were our first means of transport for the tour, were moored. The thought of "So we climbed up from there" amplified my emotions, and I found myself reflecting on the journey I had taken.

The trekking was more akin to a stroll than a climb, and along the way, the guide shared stories about the nature, climate, and history of Iriomote Island.

The first thing I spotted was a blue Ishigaki lizard, about 10 centimeters long. I was surprised by a large nest of Takasago white ants and observed the ant trails left on the tree trunk. I learned not to carelessly put my hands into puddles due to concerns about infectious diseases, and although malaria, brought by the Portuguese, has now been eradicated, it had previously hindered human activities and development, resulting in the preservation of rich nature.

Next, the refreshing experience of bathing in the waterfall pool was truly invigorating. Looking up at the stunning view above the falls, I was convinced that the flow itself was a magnificent sight. The waterfall pool, which can get as crowded as a public pool at peak times, was fortunate enough to be exclusively ours due to the time difference with the preceding group.

I heard that this "Mangrove Canoe + Trekking to the Pinai Falls Pool" is the most popular activity among the many available on Iriomote Island. Many operators run tours, and at times, around 200 people aim for the falls in a single day. I had previously used "Veltra" in Hawaii, and my trust in the guide contributed to my choice this time. On the way back, with the waterfall behind us, I leisurely paddled down the Hinai River in the canoe, rejoicing in the certainty of my choice for the "best experience."

　たかだか標高１３０㍍地点まで１時間弱の山登りで目にしたのは予想をはるかに上回る絶景でした。「来てよかった」との思いが込み上げました。じわりと汗が伝う頬を爽やかな風が吹き抜けました。そのかたわらでガイドさんの説明が心地よく耳に響きました。
　ピナイサーラの滝は落差が５５㍍で沖縄県内では最大だそうです。県内２番目の面積で自然豊かな西表島ならではです。ピナイは「顎髭」、サーラは「下がったもの」との意味です。滝をなす岩が老人の顔で、水の流れが長い顎髭に見えることからのようです。
　ちょうど台風一過とあって、水量は豊富で、流れは豪快でした。遠くに目をやると、マリンブルーの海とスカイブルーの空がきらめいていました。その境目あたりに、サンゴのかけらでできたバラス島があり、その向こうに鳩間島が浮かんでいました。
　手前には船浦湾を望み、島の東西を結ぶ県道２１５号の一部でもある海中道路が見えました。眼下には、マングローブの林の中を一条の筋が走っていました。ヒナイ川であり、その端にツアーの最初の移動手段となったカヌーを係留した場所が確認できました。「あそこから登って来たのか」との思いが感動を増幅し、いつしか、それまでの行程を振り返っていました。
　トレッキングは山登りというよりは散策に近いもので、途中、ガイドさんが西表島の自然、風土、歴史などを語ってくれました。
　最初に目にしたのは体長１０㌢ほどの青いイシガキトカゲでした。そして、タカサゴシロアリの大きな巣に驚き、木の幹に残るアリの道を確認しました。感染症を警戒する意味で、水たまりなどへはむやみに手を入れたりしないこと、ポルトガル人が運んできたマラリアが今では根絶されたものの、人の営み、開発を阻み、結果として豊かな自然が残ったことなどを教わりました。
　そして、次に向かった滝つぼでの水浴は実に爽快でした。絶景を楽しんだ滝の上を見上げ、流れ自体も荘厳なる絶景であることを確信しました。「多いときは市民プール並みの混雑になる」という滝つぼは、先行グループとの時間差もあり、自分たちのグループだけで独占するという幸運に恵まれました。
　この「マングローブカヌー+トレッキング　ピナイサーラの滝つぼ」は西表島の数あるアクティビティーの中で一番人気と聞きました。多くの業者がツアーを催行していて、多いときは一日２００くらいが滝を目指すそうです。「ベルトラ」は以前、ハワイ島で利用した経験があり、ガイドさんへの信頼が今回の選択にもつながりました。帰路、滝を背に、ヒナイ川をカヌーでのんびり行く中で「最高の体験」への選択の確かさを喜びました。

Due to the typhoon, I couldn't go to the Blue Cave, which I was really looking forward to, but I was able to participate in sea kayaking and snorkeling. They taught me how to kayak carefully, and I had a great time. I could really feel the staff's desire to make sure we had fun, even more than if we had gone to the Blue Cave, and it made me really happy. I will definitely try to go back to the Blue Cave again! I hope to see Hamachan and Q-chan then too!

台風の影響で楽しみにしていた青の洞窟には行けなかったのですがシーカヤックとシュノーケリングは出来るとのことで参加させて頂きました。初めてのシーカヤックも丁寧に教えた頂き楽しめました。青の洞窟に行けない分以上に工夫を凝らして楽しませてあげたいというスタッフの気持ちが伝わってきて本当に嬉しかったです。また青の洞窟リベンジします❗️その時もハマちゃんＱちゃん宜しくお願いします‼️

I participated with my partner.
At first, we were picked up by a shuttle bus from the Ishigaki Island ferry terminal to Ueshima Port. After arriving, we organized our luggage and were provided with waterproof bags, shoes, and backpacks for free. We were told to bring about 1.5 liters of water per person, so we purchased water and sports drinks, which turned out to be just about the right amount (laughs).
After that, we took a bus to the starting point. After going over canoeing precautions and practicing, we paddled to the trekking point. It was quite enjoyable, and the breeze felt nice. If you have a hat, be careful not to lose it.
Upon arrival, we started trekking towards the top of the waterfall. I thought it would be tough at first because of the steep slopes, but it was more fun than I expected. Once we reached the top of the waterfall, we took photos and had lunch! They made us Yaeyama soba, and the delicious salty broth was amazing. After taking a break and playing at the water spot, we headed down to the waterfall basin! Honestly, this part was quite exhausting; it was hot, and I spoke less (laughs). However, after changing into our swimsuits and jumping into the water at the basin, I felt completely revitalized! The water was cold and refreshing, and we were allowed to jump in. After a short break, we enjoyed warm tea and homemade rice cakes, which helped us regain our energy. Then we returned to the canoe point and paddled back the way we came. I was filled with a sense of fulfillment and fun at that moment, and I paddled slowly to savor the experience a little longer.
Upon arrival, they collected our shoes and backpacks without needing to wash them, which was convenient. After returning, I was able to take a warm shower, which was comfortable.
On the way back, they provided pick-up and drop-off according to our respective schedules.

I may not have conveyed it well with my clumsy writing, but it was truly a fun time. I think the sense of fulfillment I felt during my four-day stay in Ishigaki Island was the best. Thank you very much!

彼女と二人で参加しました。
初めは石垣島の離島ターミナルから、上島港に向かいそこで送迎バスに迎えていただきました。到着後荷物の整理を行い、防水バック、シューズ、リュックを無料で貸していただきました。その際水分が一人当たり1.5L程持って行ってほしいと言われお水とスポーツドリンクを購入させていただき、実際それくらい必要でした(笑)
その後、バスに乗って出発ポイントへ向かいました。カヌーの注意事項や練習を行った後、カヌーに乗ってトレッキングポイントまで漕ぎました。ここもかなり楽しく風邪も気持ちよかったです。帽子をお持ちの方は飛ばされないようにしてください。
到着後はトレッキングで、滝うえを目指します、結構な斜面も登るので初めはこれは大変だと思っていましたが、それを上回る楽しさがありました。滝うえについたら写真撮影をした後お昼ご飯！八重島そばを作っていただき、旨しょっぱいダシが美味しくて最高でした。休憩しつつ水場で遊んだ後、下っていき次は滝つぼへ！正直ここがかなりしんどかったです、熱くて言葉数が少し減りました(笑)しかし、滝つぼ到着後水着に着替えて水に入ったとき一気に回復しました！！冷たくて気持ちよく、飛びこみもさせてもらえました。少し休憩をはさんで、あったかいお茶と手作りのお餅をいただき体力的にも回復しました。そしてカヌーのポイントまで戻り、帰るため来た道を漕いで帰りました。この時が楽しかったーーーーっという充実感でいっぱいで、もう少しこの時間を味わいたいとゆっくりめにカヌーを漕ぎました。
到着し、靴やリュックは洗わずそのまま回収していただき手間がありませんでした。帰った後は暖かいシャワーを浴びさせていただき、快適でした。
帰りはそれぞれの時間に合わせて送り迎えをしていただきました。

つたない文章で伝わらないかもしれませんが、本当に楽しい時間でした。
充実感は石垣島に4日間宿泊したのですが一番だったと思います。

The guide was very clear and enjoyable in teaching us about life on Iriomote Island, as well as the creatures and ecosystems of the jungle. Thanks to this, the approximately 50-minute trek to the waterfall was not difficult at all. Additionally, because the guide is physically strong and knowledgeable, I believe you can participate here with confidence.

For items to bring, shoes and backpacks are available for rent, so you can buy drinks, but since it's recommended to bring 1.5 liters per person, I suggest bringing sports drinks. The jungle has high humidity, and without wind, it feels like a sauna. After sweating well, you can cool off by bathing in the water at the top of the waterfall and then walking down to the basin, which feels great.

If you're considering a trekking tour to Pinaisara Falls, I highly recommend this tour.

ガイドさんは非常にわかりやすく楽しく西表島の生活についてや、ジャングルの生き物・生態系について教えてくれました。このおかげで、滝上までの約50分の道のりもつらくなかったです。また、肉体的にたくましく知識も兼ね備えているためここのガイドさんなら安心して参加できると思います。
持ち物はシューズ、リュックを貸出ししているので飲み物は買えますが1.5l/1人は必要とのことでしたからスポーツドリンクを持参することをお勧めします。ジャングルは湿度が高く風が吹かないとサウナのようで、いい汗をかいた後に滝上で水を浴び、また歩いて滝つぼに入ればクールダウンできて気持ちいいです。
ピナイサーラの滝トレッキングツアーなら、ここのツアーをおすすめします。

It was a fun tour filled with extraordinary experiences, including kayaking and jungle trekking! Playing in the waterfall after trekking was the best!!

カヤックにジャングルトレッキングで非日常感満載の楽しいツアーでした！トレッキング後の滝壺遊びも最高です！！

I chose this tour not only for its content but also because of the positive reviews, the shuttle service, luggage storage, and the overall fulfilling experience, including the shower after the tour. Before participating, I had some concerns about what I would need, but they provided shoes, a backpack, and a waterproof bag, so no special preparation was necessary. As for clothing, I recommend wearing a swimsuit, long sleeves for sun protection, sunglasses, and if you have them, work gloves (which are useful for climbing rocky areas). Since they lend you a waterproof bag, you can also bring your smartphone. (They can take a few photos for you, but our only regret was that we didn't bring a camera or smartphone...)

We participated as two women and chose a single kayak, but tandem kayaks are available, and if you wish, you can also kayak with the guide. The round trip can be quite tiring, so a tandem kayak might allow for alternating breaks. During the trekking, we learned about the flowers, trees, and wildlife of Iriomote Island, and we quickly made it to the top of the waterfall. The view from the top was amazing, and the Yaeyama soba they prepared for us there was truly delicious. Additionally, we were able to cool down our hot bodies in the waterfall pool, which felt wonderful. The entire journey was long, but they adjusted the schedule and took breaks according to the participants' fitness levels, allowing us to participate with peace of mind.

Our guide, Hiro, was very kind, funny, and knowledgeable, and he responded to many of our requests! We participated on the last day of our trip, so we ended up in a bit of a rush, but the staff worked together to ensure we were delivered to the terminal.

It was my first time in Iriomote Island, and I was able to fully enjoy the great nature there, creating irreplaceable memories! I am very satisfied with this tour and would love to come back to Iriomote Island and participate in the windmill tour again!

ツアー内容だけでなく、口コミがよいこと、送迎や荷物預かり、ツアー後のシャワーなど全体的に充実していることからこちらのツアーを選択しました。参加前は何が必要なのかなど不安もありましたが、靴やリュック・防水バッグも貸していただけ、特別な準備は必要ありませんでした。服装としては、水着着用、日焼け対策の長袖やサングラス、あれば軍手（岩場を登る際に活躍）がおすすめです。防水バッグを貸していただけるので、スマホも持っていけます。（写真を少しとっていただけますが、私たちはカメラもスマホも持って行かなかったのが唯一の心残りです…）
私たちは女性二人で参加し、一人乗りカヌーを選択しましたが、二人乗りや希望すればガイドさんとの二人乗りも可能です。往復すると結構疲れたので、二人乗りだと代わるがわる休憩できて良いかもしれません。トレッキング中は、西表島の花や木、生き物の話などいろいろ教えていただけ、あっという間に滝上まで登ることができました。滝上からの景色は最高で、そこで作っていただいた八重山そばも本当においしかったです。また、滝つぼでは熱い体をクールダウンでき、とても気持ちよかったです。全行程は長いですが、参加メンバーの体力に合わせ適宜休憩を入れ、スケジュールも調整いただけ安心して参加できました。
ガイドを担当してくださったヒロさんは、とてもやさしく面白く、知識豊富でたくさんの無茶ぶりにもこたえていただきました！笑
旅行最終日に参加したため、最後は大慌てになってしまいましたが、スタッフのみなさんが一丸となってターミナルまで送り届けてくださいました。
初めての西表島でしたが、西表島の大自然を満喫でき、かけがえのない思い出となりました！！また西表島に来たい、また風車のツアーに参加したいと思える大満足なツアーでした！

Five years ago, when I went to Ishigaki Island, I couldn't set sail and couldn't go to Iriomote Island. This time, I was able to see the view from the top of Pinai Falls! After sweating, jumping into the basin of the waterfall to cool down was the best! I have never appreciated waterfall water as much as I did during my 63 years of life!

5年前に石垣島に行った時、出航出来ず西表島に行けなくて。今回はピナイサーラの滝上の景色見れました！汗かいた後に滝壺に飛び込みクールダウン最高でした！これ程滝水がありがたかったのは63年の人生でいちばんでした！

The canoe experience in nature, trekking up to the waterfall for lunch, and then refreshing ourselves with a swim in the waterfall pool was absolutely amazing. It’s an unforgettable memory!
They provided luggage storage (with a locked locker for valuables), rental backpacks for moving around, waterproof bags, and sturdy water shoes, which made me feel secure.
At the top of the waterfall, I was grateful to have delicious Yaeyama soba made right there. For a snack, we had oni mochi.
They sent us the wonderful photos taken on the day directly to our smartphones before we left, so I was able to reflect on the fun memories while heading home and post them on social media, which was really great.

Regarding clothing and belongings:
Since we would be trekking and swimming in the waterfall pool, I recommend wearing long-sleeved rash guards and leggings that can get dirty or wet. I brought a 500ml bottle of water, but since it gets quite humid, I ended up buying an additional 1L.
The humidity is high, like a mist sauna, so I think it’s good to have some salt as well.

Although we took the same route back and forth, each way offered a different perspective to enjoy.

服装・持ち物について
トレッキング＋滝つぼでは水浴びもするので、
汚れたり・水に入っても大丈夫な長袖のラッシュガード・レギンスがおすすめです。500mlのお水は持っていっていたのですが、蒸し暑くなるので1Lほど必要ということで追加購入しました。
ミストサウナのように湿度が高くかなり汗をかくので塩分がもあってもいいと思います。

往復同じルートと通るのですが、それぞれ違った見え方が楽しめます。

Last year, after visiting Iriomote Island for the first time, I couldn't forget the incredible nature here, so I returned within a year. My husband enjoys mountain climbing as a hobby, and since he wanted to go trekking, we searched and found this tour.

The trekking had some challenging parts, but that added to the sense of adventure, and we were able to see many creatures that we could only encounter here, making the climb enjoyable. The view from above the waterfall was breathtaking. I was also moved by the power of the waterfall when viewed from below while floating in the basin. We leisurely paddled back and forth in a canoe, making it an enjoyable experience from start to finish, and both my husband and I were very satisfied!

What touched me was that before getting into the car after coming up from the river, I was lent dry sandals. This felt really nice, and I truly appreciated this little service!

昨年、初めて西表島に来て以来ここの大自然が忘れられず、１年経たずに戻ってきました。夫が趣味で登山をしているのもあり、トレッキングがしたいと言うので探していたところ、こちらのツアーを見つけました。

トレッキングは所々大変な箇所もありましたが、それが逆にアドベンチャー感があり、ここでしか出会えない生き物もたくさん見ることが出来て、楽しみながら登ることができました。滝うえからの眺めは圧巻の一言。滝つぼでプカプカ浮きながら下から眺める滝の迫力にも感動しました。行き帰りをカヌーでゆったり漕ぎながら進むので、最初から最後まで楽しめる内容に、夫婦ともに大満足でした！

地味に感動したのは、川から上がって車に乗り込む前に足を洗ったのですが、乾いたサンダルを貸していただいたことです。これが非常に気持ち良くて、こういうちょっとしたサービスが本当に嬉しかったです！

I participated in late June. To put it simply, it was incredibly fun! I fell in love with the nature of Iriomote Island throughout the tour. I chose a single kayak, and while I was initially anxious, I soon found it to be a breeze and enjoyable! The mountain path to the waterfall was quick, as our guide shared information about the plants of Iriomote Island while keeping pace with us.

The authentic soki soba while enjoying the beautiful view from the waterfall was the best! You can dive from the rocks and swim in the waterfall pool, so I recommend wearing quick-drying, comfortable clothes and a swimsuit underneath. Even in June, the humidity is high, but you can cool down in the waterfall pool. On the way back, you can also take a shower, which is reassuring.

This became my best memory of my trip to Ishigaki Island. Thank you to our guide, Hoshi, for the thoughtful guidance!

6月下旬に参加。一言で言うとめちゃくちゃ楽しかったです！ツアーを通して西表島の自然が大好きになりました。
カヌーは1人乗りを選び、最初は不安も慣れてきたらスイスイ楽しい！滝までの山道も、ガイドさんの西表島の植物など教えてもらいながらペースを見てもらいながら登るので、あっという間です。
滝からの綺麗な景色を見ながらの本格的なソーキそばも最高！
滝つぼでは岩からダイブしたり泳げるので、速乾性のある動きやすい服装・下に水着がおすすめです。6月でも湿度が高いですが、滝つぼでクールダウンできます。帰りはシャワーも浴びれるので、安心。
石垣島旅行の一番の思い出になりました。

Canoeing and trekking were quite hard, but I was healed by the amazing scenery and fresh air (^ - ^). The most memorable part was the dive into the waterfall pool. The view from the bottom looking up was breathtaking. The mist from the waterfall was refreshing and soothing.

For lunch, I enjoyed delicious soba that filled me up. Eating something warm in the forest is the best. The friendly staff made the tour fun and lively. It became the best memory of our honeymoon! I definitely want to recommend this tour to anyone planning to go!

As a note, it's important to prepare your clothing properly. I didn't fully understand the requirements, so I ended up participating in inappropriate attire, haha. Women should wear long sleeves and leggings to protect against sunburn and insects.

一番印象に残ったのは、滝つぼダイブです。滝つぼから見上げる光景は圧巻でした。滝のミストも気持ちよく、癒されました。
お昼ご飯も美味しいおそばでお腹が満たされました。森で暖かいものを食べられるって最高です。
気さくなお兄さんとお姉さんがアテンドしてくれ、わいわい楽しいツアーでした。新婚旅行の一番の思い出となりました！ぜひこれから行く方はこのツアーをおすすめしたいです！

注意点としては服装はちゃんと準備していくべきですね。私は内容をきちんと把握してなかったので、変な服装で参加してしまいました笑 女性は長袖＋レギンスで日焼け、虫対策をしっかりした方がよさそうです。

We went to Iriomote Island for our honeymoon. Wanting to have a memorable experience, we searched for activities and decided to book this tour based on the positive reviews.

To sum it up, it was the best tour! We had an amazing experience.

We arrived at Iriomote Island the day before, and on the day of the activity, they picked us up from the hotel while we were already dressed for the activities (they even called the day before to confirm).

We borrowed a waterproof backpack and shoes, and stored our valuables in a locked locker before setting off.

Initially, I thought about using a single kayak, but based on the advice regarding the river conditions that day, we opted for a tandem kayak (it was a good choice for our stamina, too!).

The kayaking took about 30 to 40 minutes one way. We moved slowly while chatting with our guide and enjoying the scenery.

After kayaking, we trekked up to the waterfall. Along the way, we discovered plants and insects we had never seen before, and the guide's knowledge about them was impressive.

I don't usually exercise at all, but after taking breaks, I somehow made it to the top of the waterfall. The view and the sense of accomplishment from there were unforgettable.

At the top of the waterfall, the guide's warm homemade lunch was truly delicious. While the lunch was being prepared, my husband and I took photos and enjoyed our time freely.

From there, we trekked back down to the base of the waterfall and swam like children.

It was the rainy season, so there seemed to be fewer people than usual, allowing us to relax and enjoy ourselves.

Since we planned to stay on Iriomote Island that night, we were taken back to the hotel in our activity clothes without taking a shower.

The guide took photos at recommended spots and captured moments we didn't even notice.

The scenery of Iriomote Island is stunning, but thanks to the guide's brightness and knowledge, it became an even better experience.

何か思い出となるような体験をしたいと思い、アクティビティを探していたところ、口コミが良いこちらのツアーに申し込む事にしました

結論からいうと、最高のツアー！最高の経験をすることが出来ました

前の日から西表島に行き、当日はアクティビティの格好をした状態で宿泊していたホテルまで迎えに来てもらいました(前日に確認の電話もあり)

防水リュック、シューズをお借りして、貴重品は鍵付きロッカーに入れ出発

当初カヌーは一人用にしようかと思っていましたが、当日の川の状況のアドバイスがあり、2人用にしました(体力的にも2人用を選んでよかったです笑)

カヌーは片道30〜40分くらいかな？
ガイドさんとお話ししながら、ゆっくり景色を見ながら進みます

カヌーが終わると滝上までのトレッキング
途中見たこともない植物や虫なども発見し、それについてのガイドさんの知識がすごいです

全く普段運動していませんが、休憩をはさみながらなんとか滝上まで到着
そこからの景色と達成感は忘れられません

滝上ではガイドさんのあったかい手作りランチがほんとに美味しかったです
ランチを作ってくれている間は、主人と写真を撮ったり、自由に過ごしていました

そこからはまたトレッキングで滝つぼまで下り、子供のように泳ぎました笑

私達は、その日も西表島に泊まる予定だったので、シャワーは浴びずそのままの格好でホテルまで送ってもらいました

写真はガイドさんがおすすめポイントで撮ってくれたり、気づかないうちに撮っていてくれています

西表島の景色も素晴らしいですが、ガイドさんの明るさと知識のおかげで、さらにいい体験になりました

I planned a trip to Okinawa with the goal of visiting the Blue Cave. I made a reservation for a tour starting at 3 PM on June 12 for a one-night, two-day trip. When I confirmed my reservation, I was informed that due to the typhoon, there was a possibility that the waves would be too high to enter the cave, and if that were the case, we would go snorkeling at a different spot. Since I was very eager to visit the Blue Cave, I asked the receptionist if it was possible to change the schedule to the next day, and I was told that it could be done if I switched to the early morning tour. They mentioned that it would depend on the weather, so they couldn't guarantee that we would definitely be able to go to the Blue Cave, but I decided to take a chance and change the tour.

On the day of the tour, the weather was sunny! We were told that they would assess the sea conditions, and we set off towards the cave on a sea kayak without knowing if we would be able to enter. It was my first time kayaking, and I received instructions on how to ride and paddle, which made it a lot of fun! Fortunately, we were able to visit the long-awaited Blue Cave, and I was moved by its natural beauty. I was extremely satisfied as I encountered many colorful fish while snorkeling and had a fulfilling time touching starfish and sea cucumbers! I would love to participate in the tour again if I have the opportunity. Thank you for accommodating my schedule change, and thank you to our tour guides Ami and Kana for the wonderful time! ❤️

青の洞窟を目的に沖縄旅行を計画しました。6月12日から一泊二日の初日15時からのツアーで予約しました。予約の確認連絡をした際に台風の影響で波が高く洞窟の中へは行けない可能性もあり、その際は別のポイントでのシュノーケリングになるとの事…青の洞窟へ行きたい気持ちが強く受付の方に翌日へのスケジュール変更が可能か伺ったところ、朝一のツアー変更であれば可能との事。天気で判断しますので、必ず青の洞窟へ行けるかはわからないとの返答でしたが僅かな望みにかけて、ツアー変更をさせていただきました。当日、お天気は晴れ‼️海況を見ながら判断しますと言われ、洞窟に入れるかどうかわからないままシーカヤックで洞窟に向かいました。初めてのシーカヤック、乗り方や漕ぎ方をレクチャーいただきとても楽しめました‼️運良く、念願の青の洞窟にも行けて、天然の美しさに感動✨大満足でしたシュノーケリングではたくさんのカラフルな魚に出会え、ヒトデやナマコに触ったり充実した時間を過ごせました‼️機会があればまたツアーに参加したいですスケジュール変更を快く対応いただきありがとうございましたツアーガイドのあみちゃん、かなちゃん、楽しい時間をありがとう❤️

The guide's interesting explanations about nature and Okinawa, as well as the natural beauty of the Hija River, were fantastic! I was able to observe mangroves up close and see many creatures. The ton-ton-mi was especially cute! I learned a lot from the guide and had a very fulfilling holiday. I would love to participate again.

At the end of May, my husband and I participated in this tour. Since we were going to the Yaeyama Islands, we wanted to experience the lush jungle nature in addition to marine activities, so we chose this tour. As a result, despite it being the rainy season, the weather was exceptionally good, and it was said to be the hottest day of the year. We were able to fully enjoy canoeing and trekking in the beautiful scenery we had envisioned. The canoeing, which I had wanted to try for a long time, was taught to us patiently by our guide from the very basics, allowing even beginners like us to enjoy paddling. By the time we were heading back, we had grasped the techniques and enjoyed it even more, saying we wanted to do it again! The trekking was slightly harder than I had imagined, but it felt like an adventure as we encouraged each other with the other participants while aiming for the goal. The handmade Yaeyama soba we had at the breathtaking waterfall was delicious, and I ended up drinking the broth eagerly. Entering the waterfall pool with our sweaty bodies felt refreshing, and floating while looking up at the waterfall made me truly feel that I had come to Iriomote Island!

The only thing that left me a bit wanting was that our time in the waterfall pool felt more like a quick dip, so if I have the chance next time, I would like to participate in a canyoning tour where I can play more actively in the waterfall!

5月の末に夫婦で参加させていただきました。せっかく八重山諸島に行くからにはマリンアクティビティとは別に、緑に囲まれたジャングルの大自然も体験したいと思いこのツアーを選びました。結果、当日は梅雨の時期にもかかわらず、天気も良すぎるくらいで今年一番の暑さとガイドさんもおっしゃってたほど晴天の中、まさに思い描いていた景色の中でカヌーとトレッキングを満喫することが出来ました。以前からずっとやってみたかったカヌーも、ガイドさんが丁寧に一から教えてくださり、初体験の私達でも楽しんで漕ぐことが出来、帰りの頃にはコツも掴んでさらに楽しめ、またやりたいね、となりました！トレッキングは想像していたより若干ハードでしたが、ガイドさんをはじめ、参加メンバーの方々と声をかけながらゴールを目指す感じが冒険のようで楽しめました。絶景の滝上で頂いた手作りの八重山そばも出汁が美味しくてゴクゴク飲んでしまいました。汗ダクの身体で入る滝つぼは気持ち良く、プカプカ浮いて下から見る滝も西表島に来た！と実感できる景色でした。
今回は滝つぼでは水浴び程度な感じだったのが唯一少しだけ物足りなかったので、次回チャンスがあれば滝でもっとアクティブに遊べるというキャニオニングのツアーに参加してみたいと思いました！

It was my first trip to Iriomote Island. For my boyfriend's birthday, we chose the canoeing and trekking one-day course based on his request. The day before, I received a call from the staff at the windmill, and they came to pick us up at our hotel on the day of the tour. We ended up joining other travelers from the same hotel, which allowed us to enjoy the tour at a leisurely pace.

We quickly headed to the windmill by car for the check-in, where we borrowed trekking shoes, life jackets, and waterproof backpacks, and then we set off into the jungle. Honestly, I wasn't very confident in my physical strength and had some anxiety, but they provided solid support on how to paddle the canoe, and during the trekking, we were able to take breaks along the way. As we got closer to the summit, the view through the trees was absolutely stunning!

The view from the top was even more impressive than I had imagined, and it was breathtaking. Additionally, the guide prepared warm Yaeyama soba for us, which was incredibly delicious.

On the way down, we carefully descended, and next, we enjoyed swimming in the cool waters of the Pinai Waterfall, which felt refreshing. We took plenty of photos, and it was a thoroughly satisfying course! My boyfriend also gave it the highest rating! Thank you very much.

西表島へ初めての旅行でした。
彼氏の誕生日でリクエストにより、こちらのカヌー＋トレッキング体験一日コースを選ばせてもらいました。
前日に風車の担当の方から連絡があり、当日はホテルへお迎えに来て頂きました。
ちょうど同じホテルの旅行者の方と一緒にツアーを回ることになり、ゆっくりツアーも回れることに。
早速、手続きの為風車さんへ車で向かい、トレッキングシューズ＋ライフジャケット＋防水リュックを借りいざジャングルへ。
正直、体力に自信はなく不安なところもありましたが、カヌーの漕ぎ方、トレッキング中はしっかりサポートしてもらい途中休み休み進むことができました。いよいよ頂上へ近づいてきた頃木々の間から見える景色が最高でした！

頂上も想像していた以上の迫力で景色は圧巻でした。また、ガイドさんが温かい八重山そばを調理してくれたのも最高に美味しかったです。

下りはまた慎重に降りていき次はピナイサーラの滝つぼでプカプカ泳ぐのが冷たくて気持ち良かったです。
写真撮影もたくさんして頂き大満足のコースでした！！！満足のコースで彼氏も最高の評価をしてくれました！ありがとうございます。

I'm glad I chose this! I wanted to visit Iriomote Island and searched for various tours, but I decided on this one because of the positive reviews from past participants. I joined from Ishigaki Island, and the staff from Windmill were waiting for us at Uehara Port, making them easy to find! The staff were all smiling and refreshing—there was already a sense of fun in the air!

Since it was my first time canoeing, my husband and I opted for a two-person canoe, but by the end, I thought I could have done it alone, as we moved slowly while enjoying the scenery. The most concerning part was the 50-minute trekking! At first, there were a few steep sections, but the guide provided water breaks and explanations along the way, so even someone like me, who usually lacks exercise, was able to make it to the top! The lunch was delicious too! I was so impressed that they carried our lunch up the mountain for us.

I heard that the guide also trains for rescue operations on the mountain climbing route, which was amazing! At the same time, I felt reassured knowing that the guide was well-trained, and I was really glad I chose Windmill! I had a fantastic day! I'm very satisfied! Thank you!

西表島に行ってみたくて、色々ツアーを探しましたが、体験談の口コミが良かったので、決めました。
石垣島から参加しましたが、上原港では風車の皆さんが待っていて下さり、すぐ見つける事が出来ました‼︎スタッフの皆さん、笑顔でさわやか〜！もーすでに楽しそうな予感です！
カヌーは初めてだったので、主人と二人乗りにしましたが、終わってみると1人でも大丈夫だったかな？と思えるくらい、ゆっくり景色を見ながら進んでくださいます。
1番不安だった、トレッキング50分！最初少しだけ急なとこも登りますが、ガイドの方が途中水分補給をしながら、説明しながら登ってくださるので、普段運動不足ぎみな私でも登りきれました‼︎お昼ご飯も美味しかったぁ〜！私達のお昼ご飯を背負って登って下さり感激です〜
ガイドさんは、山登りルートで救護用訓練もされてると聞き、すごいな！と同時に、日頃訓練してるガイドさんで安心だなと、風車さんを選んで本当に良かった！と思いました。
1日大満喫‼︎大満足です‼︎

We participated as a couple in early June. My wife had been interested for a long time, and it was her dream to join the Takijō & Takitsubo course.

Since it was a weekday in early June, there were just six of us, including the guide, which was just right. I hear that many tourists visit during the summer vacation, making the course crowded, so if you want to take your time enjoying the scenery and listening to the sounds of nature, June is recommended.

The trekking had some challenging sections, but the guide made sure to include breaks and shared various stories about the island, making the time fly by. When we reached the top of the waterfall, the breathtaking view gave us an incredible sense of accomplishment!

We were also fortunate with the weather. It was sunny all the way to the top, and although we encountered some rain on the way to the basin, we were able to appreciate the rain as one of nature's expressions. When we arrived at the basin, the rain conveniently stopped, and seeing the Pinai Sara Falls up close while floating in the basin was magnificent, completely washing away our fatigue.

After that, we returned by kayak, and since it was low tide, we were able to view the mangroves and other scenery in a different way than on the way there. The guide provided timely and accurate information about the differences in the mangroves and the unique creatures and plants of Iriomote Island.

It was a very satisfying tour, and I would love to participate in another course if the opportunity arises. Thank you!

6月初旬に夫婦で参加しました。
妻が以前から興味を持っており、念願の滝上＆滝つぼコースへの参加でした。

6月初旬の平日ということもあり参加メンバーはガイドさん含めて6人とちょうど良いくらいでした。
夏休みになると多くの観光客が訪れコースも混むそうなので、ゆっくりと景色を眺め自然の音に耳を傾けたい方は6月がオススメです。

トレッキングは所々険しい箇所もありましたが、ガイドさんが随所で休憩を入れてくれたり、島について色々な話をしてくれるのであっという間に時間が経ち、滝上に着いた時にはその眺望の素晴らしさにこの上ない達成感を得ることができました！

天気にも恵まれました。滝上までは晴れ、後半滝つぼまでは途中雨にも降られたりしましたが、雨もまた自然が見せる表情の１つとして味わうことができました。
滝つぼに着いた時には都合よく雨も止んでくれ、滝つぼに浮きながら間近で見るピナイサーラの滝はとても雄大で、疲れも吹き飛びました。

その後、カヤックで戻ることになりますが、帰りは干潮ということでマングローブなどは行きとは違った形で景色を眺めることができました。
マングローブの違い、西表島の特産種の生き物や植物など、ガイドさんがほんとにいいタイミングで的確に案内してくれます。

大満足のツアーだったので、また機会があれば別のコースにも参加してみたいと思います。

In a word, it was the best!! I would give it more than 100 points, I would want to give it 120 points for such a fun and satisfying day.

Canoeing was my first experience, and I was a bit scared crossing the river filled with mangroves, but they provided a clear lecture at the beginning, so there were no dangerous moments where I could flip over, and even as a beginner, I was able to enjoy it fully. The trekking was honestly much harder than I imagined, which surprised me!! Staff members were at the front and back, carefully communicating the points to watch out for at our feet and overhead, and they paid attention to everyone's condition throughout, adjusting the pace while taking breaks, so even though it was hard, I could follow along with peace of mind. I think it would have been tough if we were just climbing silently, but the trekking, which included interesting stories about the unique plants and animals of Iriomote Island, was very educational and enjoyable!

The view from the top of the waterfall after finishing the hard climb was amazing! We were blessed with good weather and could see as far as Hatoma Island. The green of the mountains and the blue of the sea! The view was beyond what any guidebook could offer!

The Yaeyama soba that was prepared while everyone enjoyed the view from the top of the waterfall was also exquisite, and combined with the scenery, it was incredibly delicious! Thank you so much to the staff who carried heavy supplies and containers up the mountain!

The basin at the bottom of the waterfall we arrived at after descending was filled with negative ions and felt wonderful. That refreshing feeling, I will surely never forget! Diving into the basin with courage also became a great memory! When my body got cold in the basin, they immediately served warm tea... it was so thoughtful.

Due to the season, there were few travelers, and both the canoeing and the waterfall were almost private experiences! Furthermore, the weather was on our side, allowing us to experience both the sunshine and rain of Iriomote Island! Above all, it was unbelievable that the rain that had been falling just moments ago cleared up at crucial moments like the top of the waterfall, the basin, and canoeing, revealing breathtaking views! Everything flowed perfectly!!

★For those who will participate in the future★
For beginners in trekking! You will need more water than you think! Although the load will be heavy, it’s not worth compromising your health, so I recommend bringing "the amount you think you need + a little extra" drinks! (You can also purchase them at the Windmill office.)

It's not just about walking along the mountain path; there are many points where you will need to climb steep slopes by holding onto trees or rocks. It’s better to bring climbing gloves or work gloves! They will be quite helpful.

When paddling the canoe, you can't escape the sunlight! There’s nothing to block it in the middle of the river! It gets quite hot!! If you don’t want to get sunburned, a hat, sunglasses, and a rash guard are essential! This time I brought a thin hoodie, but it was so hot... I should have worn a dedicated rash guard or a functional long-sleeve shirt that dries quickly and keeps you cool. I learned from this experience and will apply it next time!

The mountain path has thorny grass and insects, so to avoid injuries, I recommend wearing long pants that are easy to move in or sports leggings. (You can borrow functional shoes suitable for trekking.)

The basin at the waterfall has a lot of splashes. If you want to take photos up close, it might be good to bring a waterproof cover. There’s also a risk of accidentally dropping things, and rain can suddenly fall in the mountains, so it’s better to be prepared. (The staff will also take photos for you. If you have an iPhone, they can send them instantly via AirDrop, so you can receive them as soon as you return to the office!)

ひとことで言うと 最高！！100点満点以上、120点をつけたいほどに 楽しくて大満足な１日でした。

カヌーは初体験、マングローブが生い茂る川を渡ることに恐怖がありましたが、最初にわかりやすいレクチャーをしてくださるので、ひっくり返るような危ない場面もなく 初心者でも十分に楽しむことができました。
トレッキングは、正直 想像よりもかなりハードでビックリ！！
先頭と最後尾にそれぞれスタッフの方がついて 足元や頭上の注意点はその都度しっかり伝えてくれましたし、終始 みんなの体調に気を配り、休憩を入れつつペースを調整しながら進んでくださったので、ハードだったけど安心してついて行くことができました。
ただ黙々と登るだけでは辛かったと思いますが、植物や動物など 西表島ならではのウンチク話も交えながらのトレッキングは、とても勉強になって楽しかったです！

ハードな道のりを登り終えた先にある滝上からの景色は最高でした！お天気に恵まれ、遠くの鳩間島まで見渡すことができました。
山の緑と海の青！ガイドブック以上の最高の景色が目の前にありました！

皆が滝上の景色を楽しんでいる間に作ってくださった八重山そばも絶品で、景色も相まって とっても美味しかったです！
皆の食糧や容器など、重い荷物を背負って登ってくださったスタッフさん、本当にありがとう！！

下山して到着した滝つぼは、マイナスイオンに溢れていて気持ちが良かったです。あの爽快感、きっと忘れない！

季節的に旅行者が少なく、カヌーも滝も ほとんど貸し切り状態だったこと！さらには、お天気も味方してくれて 西表島の晴れと雨を両方体験できたこと！なにより、さっきまで降っていた雨が 滝上や滝つぼ、カヌーなどの肝心なタイミングでは嘘みたいに晴れて 絶景を見せてくれたこと！すべてが最高の流れでした！！


★これから参加される方へ★
トレッキングが初心者の方！自分が思っている以上に水分を欲します！荷物は重くなるけれど、体調にはかえられないので「必要だと思う量＋α」のドリンク持参をおすすめします！（風車さんの事務所でも購入可能）

ただ山道を歩いて進むだけではなく、けっこうな斜面を 木につかまったり石につかまったりして登るポイントが多々あります。登山用の手袋 または軍手を持参した方がいいです！あるとかなり助かります。

カヌーを漕ぐときは、太陽光から逃げられません！川の真ん中は遮るものがありません！かなり暑いです！！焼けたくなければ、帽子・サングラス・ラッシュガードは必須！
今回 私は薄手のパーカーを持って行きましたが、暑かったのなんの・・やっぱり 専用のラッシュガード もしくは乾きやすく涼しい機能的な長袖を着ていくべきでした。勉強になりました。次回に生かします！

山道はトゲトゲした草もあるし虫もいるので、ケガをしないためにも ボトムスは動きやすい長ズボン もしくはスポーツ用のレギンスがオススメです。（靴はトレッキングに適した機能的なシューズを貸してもらえます。）

滝つぼは しぶきがすごいです。近くで写真を撮りたい方は、防水機能の付いたカバーを持参した方がいいかも。ウッカリ落としてしまう危険もありますし 山は突然雨が降ることも多いので、あるに越したことはありません。
（スタッフの方も写真を撮ってくれます。iPhoneであればAirDropを使って一瞬で送ってくれるので、事務所に戻ったらすぐに受け取ることができますよ！）

良いクチコミばかりだったので、正直「本当～？」と ちょっとだけ疑いつつ参加しましたが(ゴメンナサイ！) 最初から最後までずーっと楽しいツアーでした。
スタッフの皆さんは、みんな元気でニコニコ、良い方ばかり。
本当に西表島が大好きで、大切に守っているんだなぁ～と感じる場面が多々。とっても好感が持てました！

今回 大自然を存分に味わうことができて、西表島の魅力を 今までの何倍も何十倍も感じることができました。すでに「西表ロス」を感じています！
特にカヌーはとっても楽しくて、もっともっと挑戦してみたくなりました！
また西表島に来るときは、風車さんのツアーがいいな！と思っています。

I was looking for activities to do on the day of my arrival, and I found this one.

It was my first time canoeing, so I was a bit anxious, but it was not difficult at all, and I was able to paddle smoothly without getting tired. The sky before sunset, the sunset itself, and even after it got dark were all beautiful, and I made some wonderful memories. I definitely recommend this activity to anyone going to Okinawa! 到着日に出来るアクティビティがないか探していたところ、見つけたのがこちらでした。

初めてのカヌーだったので不安もありましたが全く難しくありませんでしたし、疲れもなくスイスイ漕ぐことが出来て楽しかったです。
日が暮れる前の空も、夕焼けも、暗くなってからも、どの空も素敵で、とてもいい思い出が出来ました。
沖縄に行く人に是非おすすめしたいアクティビティです☆

Since the guide was a newcomer, we had a more experienced guide accompany us, and the two of them guided us together. We arrived at the canoeing spot after about 30 minutes, just when we were starting to feel tired. The trekking was also just right, taking about 20 minutes and making us sweat a little. After returning, I took a shower, felt the natural breeze in the hammock while drinking a beer, and it was truly a wonderful holiday. They took a lot of photos for us and sent them right away via LINE. Thank you very much.

ガイドさんが新人でしたので先生役のガイドさんが付き2人で案内してもらいました。カヌーも30分くらいで疲れたころに到着。トレキングも少し汗が出るくらいで（20分）到着でちょーどいい具合でした。帰ってからシャワーを使いハンモックで自然の風を感じてビールを飲んで、実にいい休日でした。写真もたくさん撮っていただきラインですぐに送ってもらいました。ありがとうございました。

If you're going to participate, I absolutely recommend this course that includes both Takijō and Takitsubo. The trek to Takijō was physically challenging for me, as I don't usually engage in sports, but our guide shared interesting information about the jungle, Iriomote Island, and even personal stories, making the mountain climbing enjoyable.

When I finally reached Takijō, a breathtaking view unfolded before me! The sense of accomplishment!!! The refreshing feeling!!! While entering the cold river, I thought, "I'm so glad I came here." The warm Yaeyama soba was also incredibly delicious; I finished every drop of the broth.

Then we headed to Takitsubo. Floating in the pool while looking up at the sky and the waterfall is an experience you can only have here. Once again, I thought, "I'm so glad I came here."

Afterward, we enjoyed warm tea and sweet snacks, which was just perfect for our tired bodies. They really know how to take care of you.

As we leisurely paddled down the river in a canoe (the canoe ride back and forth was also fantastic; the view of Iriomote Island from the canoe was amazing!), my husband and I talked about wanting to come back again. It was a healing experience in nature and a great detox. I highly recommend it for those who are tired of city life.

先に行く滝上までは普段からスポーツをしない私には体力的に厳しいものでしたが、ガイドさんがジャングルについて教えてくれたり、西表島の事やら、私生活やら楽しくおしゃべりしながら山登りしていきました。

I had an amazing experience with Ami, who guided us thoroughly. I love fish, but as someone who appreciates landscapes, I was completely satisfied with the cliff tour. While paddling the canoe, I learned about fish, herons, the terrain, and caves, and the 90 minutes flew by. I was truly satisfied! I've used other shops in Okinawa, but at this shop, they provide kayaks with backrests. Thanks to that, I didn't feel tired at all and could focus on the scenery. However, since the morning course ended an hour before the café opened, I had to give up on using the café this time. Next time I visit Okinawa, I would love to stop by the shop again. I want to enjoy both kayaking and the café then! Thank you so much!

担当して頂いた亜美さんに、ガッツリ、ガイドして頂きました。魚ももちろん好きなのですが地形派の私としては大満足の絶壁ツアー。カヌーを漕ぎながら魚やサギ、地形や洞窟のことなども教えて頂き、あっという間の90分。まさに大満足！　沖縄の他のショップも利用したことがあるのですが、アルガイドさんではカヤックに背もたれを付けて貰えます。おかげさまで疲れ知らず。景色に集中することが出来ました。ただ朝イチのコースのためにカフェの営業時間1時間前に終了してしまったので、今回はカフェの利用はあきらめました。次回、沖縄へ遊びに行く時には、またショップにお邪魔させて頂きたいと思います。その時はカヤック＆カフェを堪能したいです♡ 本当にありがとうございました！

On May 26, 2018 (Saturday), my son (22 years old) and I (55 years old) participated in the "Mangrove Canoeing + Trekking at Pinai Sara Falls & Above - A Jungle Adventure with Great Facilities and a Warm Lunch."

This was our first trip to Okinawa, and we had just arrived in Ishigaki Island two days prior. We were still unfamiliar with the area around the Ishigaki Island ferry terminal and, without having adjusted to the sudden 34-degree subtropical climate, we decided to head towards our final destination for this trip, Iriomote Island.

As we arrived at Uehara Port, filled with both anxiety and excitement, we immediately spotted a young man holding a "Windmill" sign. When we introduced ourselves, he greeted us with a big smile and said, "Yes, this way please."

From the first impression of this guide, I sensed that this tour would surely be amazing. Once we got into the car, the guide chatted with us as if we were old acquaintances, sharing various personal stories and information.

Upon arriving at the Windmill office, he quickly prepared boots and life jackets for us. His efficiency gave us the impression that the tour would be safe and secure.

When we reached the canoe launch site, we finally entered the mangroves of Iriomote. Along the way, the guide shared his extensive knowledge about the types of mangroves, their ecology, and other plants, which was truly impressive.

After getting off the canoe, during the trekking portion, we were amazed by his knowledge about the creatures of Iriomote, from lizards and turtles to gobies and flying foxes, as well as butterflies and longhorn beetles. He also shared stories about the time when coal mining existed and the history of Iriomote, never running out of topics to discuss.

When we spotted a Semaru Hako turtle, he was genuinely thrilled, and I could feel that he truly loves Iriomote Island from the bottom of his heart. While enjoying nature together with us tour guests, he was always attentive to our safety. On steep slopes, he carefully instructed us on how to ascend and descend, saying things like, "Start with your right foot and sit down..."

For lunch, he prepared warm Yaeyama soba for us. To treat us to a warm meal, the guide sweatily carried heavy supplies and dishes all the way up to the waterfall. It was incredibly delicious.

Even though it was still May, the temperature was 34 degrees. The guide mentioned that as summer approaches, his days would become physically demanding.

Thanks to our guide, both my son and I had a thoroughly satisfying tour experience. Thank you very much.

２０１８年５月２６日（土）、私（５５歳）と息子（２２歳）は「マングローブカヌー+トレッキング ピナイサーラの滝つぼ＆滝うえ 充実設備とあったかランチが嬉しいジャングル探検」に参加させていただきました。
そもそも、私たち父子二人は今回が初めての沖縄で、２日前に石垣島についたばかり。まだ、石垣島の離島ターミナル辺りしか知らず、いきなり３４度という亜熱帯の気候にも慣れないまま、「とりあえず、今回の旅の最終目的地である西表島を目指そう」ということで、上原港に向かいました。
不安と期待でドキドキしながら上原港に着くと、すぐに「風車」のボードを持った若いお兄さんが目に入りました。こちらの名前を名乗ると、「はい、こちらでございます。」と満面の笑顔で答えてくれました。
もう、このガイドさんの第一印象で、今回のツアーがきっと最高になるだろうと予感ができました。
車に乗り込むと、ガイドさんは、昔からの知り合いのように、あれやこれやと自分のプライベートなことも含めていろいろな話をしてくれました。
風車のオフィスにつくと、てきぱきとブーツやライフジャケットなど準備をしてくれました。この仕事の手際の良さで、ツアーが安全安心であるという印象を持ちました。
カヌーの乗り場まで来ると、いよいよ西表のマングローブに入っていきます。
途中で、途中で、ガイドさんは、マングローブの種類や生態の話、そのほかの植物の解説など、とにかく物知りで驚いてしまいました。
カヌーを降りて、トレッキング時には、トカゲやカメやハゼやオオコウモリの話から蝶やカミキリムシの話まで、西表の生き物についてそれはそれは知識の多さに驚かされました。おまけに炭鉱があった時代の話から、西表の歴史まで次々に話題に事欠きませんでした。
途中でセマルハコガメを見つけた時など、本当に大喜びで、「このガイドさんは、西表島が心の底から大好きなんだな～」と感じました。
我々ツアー客と一緒になって自然を満喫しながらも、我々の安全に対する配慮も常に気を配ってくれました。急な斜面では、「ここは右足からで、おしりをつけて・・・」など、慎重に上り方や降り方を教えてくれました。
お昼には、暖かい八重山そばを作ってくれました。暖かいお昼ご飯をご馳走してくれるために、ガイドさんは滝の上まで食材や食器など重い荷物を汗だくになって運んでくれました。とっても、とってもおいしかったです。
まだ５月なのに気温は３４度。これから夏のシーズンになると、ガイドさんはとても体力的にハードな毎日になるとか。
ガイドさんのおかげで父子ともども大満足なツアーが体験できました。

At first, I was anxious as a beginner in outdoor activities, but I felt reassured because they lent me shoes and a waterproof bag, allowing me to participate comfortably.

The guide was full of interesting topics and shared a lot of knowledge about the island as well as information about izakayas, making our trekking experience enjoyable without running out of conversation. The journey to Pinai Sara Falls was harder than I expected, but the view from the top of the waterfall was breathtaking!

My wife really enjoyed the canoeing and said it was the most fun part of our honeymoon.

Overall, the guide was very attentive and helpful, making it easy to join in, so I highly recommend it!

最初はアウトドア初心者なので不安でしたが、靴や防水バッグまで貸してもらえたので安心して参加できました。

ガイドさんは話題が豊富で島の知識から居酒屋の情報までいろいろ教えてもらえ、話題も尽きることなく楽しくトレッキングできました。
ピナイサーラの滝までの道のりは思っていたよりハードでしたが、滝の上からの景色は絶景でした！

またカヌーは嫁が大変気に入り、新婚旅行で一番楽しかったと満足してくれました。

とにかくガイドさんが懇切丁寧に対応してくれて、気軽に参加できるのでとてもオススメです！

I participated in the tour on May 19, 2018.

We were staying in Ishigaki Island, so we took a high-speed ferry from the Ishigaki Island Terminal at 8:30 to Uehara Port on Iriomote Island. Upon arrival at Uehara Port, we were greeted and transported by car.

There were many foreign participants in the tour, which made us a bit worried since we only speak Japanese, but we had no concerns at all as the foreign guests were on a separate itinerary.

Canoeing:
I’m not very athletic and had trouble getting used to canoeing, which caused some inconvenience to others, but our guide, "Dai-chan," supported us, allowing me to enjoy it 200%! It was a very rare experience to see the mangroves up close while canoeing!

Trekking (Pinaisara Falls Summit):
There were a few steep climbs and challenging spots, but they were manageable. (I think anyone who can normally go up and down stairs will be fine.) Our guide, "Dai-chan," provided fun and easy-to-understand explanations at various points and when we encountered wildlife, which made it easy to listen. The Okinawa soba we had at the top of the falls was hearty, delicious, and very satisfying.

Pinaisara Falls (the basin):
We had the option to go to the basin or not, but I believe everyone should definitely go. The view of the falls from below was spectacular, and playing in the basin was a lot of fun, creating wonderful memories. The warm tea and the unique rice cake snacks after playing in the basin were a great touch of hospitality.

Finally…
This was our first time in Iriomote Island, but thanks to the amazing location, activities, and great guides, it was an experience worth more than the price. At first, I thought, "Are the other reviewers really giving it five stars? Isn’t that exaggerated?" but it truly deserves more than five stars. Thank you for the valuable experiences and memories.

2018/5/19にツアーに参加させていただきました。

私どもは、石垣島に滞在していたので、8:30に離島ターミナルから高速船に乗って西表島の上原港へ向かいました。
上原港でお出迎えがあり、車で送迎。

ツアーには外国籍の方も多々いて、日本語以外を話せない私たちには、少し心配でしたが、外国籍の方々とは別行動でしたので、まったく心配ありませんでした。

カヌー：
運動音痴で、カヌー操作がなかなか慣れず、皆さんに迷惑をおかけしてしまいましたが、担当ガイドの"大ちゃん"がサポートしてくれたので、200%楽しむことができました！
マングローブを目の前で、しかもカヌーで観れたのは、非常に貴重な体験でした！

トレッキング（ピナイサーラの滝の頂上）：
少しだけ急登や難所がありましたが問題ありませんでした。（普通に階段の登り降りができれば、 大丈夫だと思います）
色々なポイント説明や、生き物などに遭遇した時も、担当スタッフである"大ちゃん"が、楽しく・わかりやすく説明してくれたので、 安心して聞けました。
滝の上で食べた ソーキソバは、ボリューム満点で、味もよくて、大満足でした。

ピナイサーラの滝（滝つぼ）：
滝つぼまで、行くか／行かないか選択できましたが、絶対に行くべきだと思いました。
下から見上げる滝も壮観で、滝つぼ遊びも、とても楽しく、最高の思い出になりました。
滝つぼ遊び後の、あたたか～いお茶と、珍しいお餅のお菓子も、すごく良い「おもてなし」でした。

最後に…
私たちは、初めての西表島でしたが、最高のロケーション、アクティビティー、良きガイドさん達のおかげで、お値段以上の体験でした。
最初、ほかのレビュアーさん達が★5個ばかりなので「ほんとかな？大げさじゃないの？」って思っていましたが、★5個では足りないぐらいです。
貴重な体験や思い出をありがとうございました。

After gathering, we first received a canoeing lecture and then set off. Since it was my second time canoeing, I gradually got the hang of it and had a lot of fun. It went by in a flash as we saw various creatures and mangroves.

I was worried about my physical strength before participating in the jungle trekking, but I was able to make it to the top. Since it had rained beforehand, the waterfall had a lot of water and was quite impressive. It wasn't too hot, and I was able to participate on a really nice day.

The sunlight shining through the jungle was very beautiful and memorable. I brought back a mangrove seed that the guide found for us. I will cherish it and take care of it as a memory!

集合後にまずはカヌーのレクチャーを受けて、出発しました。カヌーは2度目だったのでだんだんと思うように操作出来るようになって楽しかったです。色々な生き物やマングローブを見ながらであっという間でした。
ジャングルトレッキングは、参加前は体力に自信がなく心配でしたが、登りきることができました。
雨が降った後だったので滝の水量もあり迫力がありました。そこまで暑すぎずにとってもいい日に参加できました。
ジャングルにキラキラと射し込む太陽の光がとても綺麗で印象的です。
ガイドさんがみつけてくれたマングローブの種を持ち帰りました。思い出に大切に育てます！

Canoeing in the mangroves, trekking to the top of Pinai Sara Falls, and exploring the base of the waterfall. It was an exciting day filled with first experiences.

The trekking was honestly quite challenging, and I thought I might not make it, but our guide carefully checked on everyone's condition and took breaks, so I managed to reach the top. Eating Yaeyama soba while enjoying the breathtaking view was exceptional.

On the way back, I was a bit worried about whether I would be okay, but thanks to our guide's entertaining stories about Iriomote Island, I was able to enjoy the descent. Canoeing was also a first for me, but surprisingly, I handled it quite well.

マングローブでのカヌー、ピナイサーラの滝上、滝壺トレッキング。どれもこれも初体験ばかりで興奮の一日でした。
トレッキングは正直無理かもと思うほど険しい道のりでしたが、ガイドさんが参加者の体調を細かく伺いながら休憩をとってくれたので、なんとか登り切ることが出来ました。絶景を眺めながら食べる八重山そばは格別でした。
帰り道も正直しんどいな、大丈夫かなと少しだけ不安でしたが、ガイドさんの面白い西表島あるあるお話のお陰で、楽しく下山出来ました。
カヌーも初体験でしたが操作は以外と大丈夫でした。

It was a short two-day trip, but I wanted to fully experience the nature of Iriomote Island, so I joined this tour. Canoeing, which was a first for me, was quite challenging to navigate straight, but as long as I took my time and corrected my course while stopping, it was manageable. While paddling, I could feel the wind and enjoy the scent of flowers blooming in the forest and the sounds of birds while walking to the waterfall. Not only did I get to see the magnificent nature, but I was also excited to spot various butterflies, beautiful dragonflies, colorful wild lizards, and cute fish and crabs along the riverbank. The guide and other participants were kind, making it a great experience.

Additionally, before the tour started, the guide recommended that we bring 1.5 liters of drinks for two people or 1 liter per person. I usually don't drink much water, but I found that I consumed more than I expected. There were frequent breaks for hydration during the tour. The weather on the day of the tour was cloudy, typical for just before summer, but since it will get hotter, I think it's a good idea to bring plenty of drinks.

１泊２日の短い旅行でしたが、西表島の自然をめいいっぱい体験したくてこのツアーに参加しました。初体験のカヌーは、まっすぐ進むのがなかなか難しかったのですが、焦らず止まりながら軌道修正しながら進めば大丈夫でした。カヌーに乗りながら風を感じたり、滝へ歩いている途中に森に咲く花の匂いや鳥の声を感じることができました。壮大な自然だけでなく、行く先々でさまざまな蝶々や綺麗な川トンボ、色鮮やかな野生のトカゲ、川辺に住むかわいい動作の魚やカニを見れたのがとてもワクワクしました。ガイドさんもほかの参加者も親切でいい体験になりました。
あと、ツアー開始前の準備時に飲み物は二人で1.5リットル、もしくは１人１リットルをガイドさんから推奨されました。普段あまり水分を摂らないのですが予想以上に飲み物が減りました。ツアー中頻繁に水分補給の時間は設けてくれていました。ツアー当日は夏本番前の曇りがちの天候でしたが、これから暑くなるので飲み物は多めに持っていくのが良いかと思います。
