It's been six years since my last visit to Miyako Island. This is my first time visiting in winter, but I wanted to experience the sea, so I checked out various options and decided to try "clear kayaking," which had great reviews.

It had been over a decade since I last did sea kayaking, but thanks to the staff's thorough explanations, I felt quite at ease as we headed out to sea. An instructor on a stand-up paddleboard led the way, allowing me to focus on getting used to the kayak's operation, and gradually I became more comfortable maneuvering it.

The conditions were a bit windy under cloudy skies, and we couldn't see much of the underwater scenery ourselves. However, the instructor kindly pointed out areas with coral and where the fish were, allowing us to observe blue damselfish and clownfish through the clear bottom of the kayak.

Although we couldn't venture out into the open ocean due to the unfavorable sea conditions, it was a satisfying kayaking experience. The photos and videos taken with a drone after the kayaking were fantastic and made for wonderful memories.

６年ぶりの宮古島。冬に訪れるのは初めてですが、少しでも海に触れたいと思いいろいろチェックしたところ、『クリアカヤック』の評判が良さそうなので、チャレンジをしてみることにしました。
シーカヤックをするのは十数年ぶりでしたが、スタッフさんの丁寧な説明もあり、余り不安を感じる事なく、海にで出ました。
スタンドアップペダルボードに乗ったインストラクターさんが先導してくれるので、初めは慣れないカヤックの操作に集中する事ができ、徐々にカヤックの操作もスムーズにできました。
曇り空の中風もあるコンディションで、自分達では海の中の様子はわかりませんでしだが、アテンドしてくれているインストラクターさんが、海中のサンゴのあるエリアや、魚がいる場所を丁寧に教えてくれるので、ルリイロスズメダイやクマノミをクリアなカヤックの底から観察することができました。
海況が余り芳しくないので、外洋には出ることはできませんでしたが、満足のカヤック体験でした。
カヤック終了後に頂いた写真や、ドローンを
使った動画は素晴らしく、良い想い出になりました。
本当にありがとうございました。
次回はもう少し暖かい時期に再チャレンジしてみたいと思います。

I made a reservation on the morning of the day through VELTRA and was able to experience it that afternoon. After booking on the site, I received a call right away with information about the meeting place, and they were flexible with the start time.

Even though it was December, the temperature felt like autumn on the mainland, so wearing a T-shirt over my swimsuit was sufficient! If you're concerned about sunburn, it might be a good idea to wear a light shirt. Since you will definitely get a bit wet, I recommend wearing clothes that you don't mind getting wet.

In the photos, it looks like there were only two participants, but a staff member was always nearby, which was reassuring. They took a lot of photos with their camera. The drone footage was stunning and became the best souvenir from Miyako Island!

I brought my smartphone in a waterproof case with a strap that I could hang around my neck, but I was so focused on paddling that I didn't take many pictures. However, I'm satisfied with the photos they took! By the way, I bought the waterproof case at Don Quijote in Miyako Island.

After enjoying the clear kayak, I also got to try a stand-up paddleboard-like boat! The weather wasn't great, and I didn't see many fish, but it was still a lot of fun!

服装は、12月でしたが本土の秋くらいの気温感で、水着の上にTシャツを羽織るくらいで大丈夫でした！日焼けが気になる方は、薄手のシャツを羽織ってもいいかもしれません。確実に多少は濡れるので、濡れてもいい服装がいいと思います。

写真では体験者２人きりに見えますが、近くでスタッフさんがずっと着いてきてくださるので安心です。スタッフさん側のカメラで写真を沢山撮ってくださります。ドローンの動画は圧巻で、宮古島１番のお土産になりました！

自身のスマホは、首にかけられるストラップ付きの水濡れ防止のケースに入れて持ち込みましたが、漕ぐのに必死であまり撮れませんでした。でも撮っていただけた写真があるので満足です！ちなみに防水ケースは、宮古島内のドンキホーテで購入しました。

クリアカヤックを楽しんだあとは、サーフボードなような立ち乗りできるボートも体験させていただけました！天気があまり良くなく、魚はあまり見られませんでしたが、それでも十分楽しかったです！

It had been since Kerama that I went snorkeling. I arrived very early at the meeting point that was sent to me the day before, but the tour guide, Yuya, was already there waiting. From the start, he had a really cute smile and was easy to talk to, which left a great impression. He said, "The chance of seeing a sea turtle is about 30%," and just a few seconds after entering the water, he pointed down and exclaimed, "There it is! A sea turtle!"... Haha, where did that 30% go? I might have the same luck again, but I was able to see another sea turtle and even witness it coming up for air, so I didn't feel the difficulty of encountering one at all. I highly recommend Yuya. You can see sea turtles right away! He also took us to many fish spots, and he was really interesting to talk to; it was truly the best experience. The Pumpkin Cave was larger and more mysterious than I had imagined, and it was truly amazing! It was quite cold inside the cave, though! During snorkeling, I even encountered a sea turtle! Even if I hadn't seen one, I would have been satisfied because the sea was so beautiful and clear, with plenty of fish! Thanks to our guide Yuya, I had a really fun day, and I truly felt that booking this tour was a great decision! I want to go again!!!

I participated on December 4th. Even though it was December, it felt like midsummer! I joined without a wetsuit.

In the morning, we visited the Pumpkin Cave! It was an exciting place filled with a very solemn atmosphere. I understand why it's called a power spot. Additionally, the tour guide was fun and easy to understand, teaching us various things! It seemed like there were many participants that day, so we had two tour guides with us. I haven't had many experiences with group tours in the past, but I thought this was also enjoyable. Since it had just rained, there was a beautiful rainbow in front of the cave!

We had lunch individually and gathered in the afternoon for snorkeling! Oh, the beauty of the sea! And we even encountered sea turtles twice! They were so cute!

Throughout the day, I truly had a fun and happy time! The guides were very kind, and in addition to their entertaining talks, they also shared great dining spots and scenic views. I want to participate again! 😊

Climbing up from there and going further in, I was greeted by a truly mystical sight. At the end, there was also a jump from the top of the pumpkin, which was exciting. In the afternoon, while snorkeling, I quickly encountered a sea turtle! After swimming together for a while, we went to see Nemo next. He was so cute. Finally, I enjoyed a relaxing time paddleboarding. The breeze felt nice, and I had a very peaceful time. I was also able to take a lot of photos, which was great. Thank you very much.

My husband is 71 and I am 64, and even though we were in beautiful Miyako Island, there were age restrictions on activities like snorkeling, so we found this option and participated.

The day before, they kindly called us to explain that due to bad weather forecasts, we could change the date, and on the day itself, they were very accommodating, asking about our preferences for rescheduling or canceling.

Although it was unfortunate that it rained lightly, the clear kayak allowed us to see underwater clearly, and we could see tropical fish swimming. We only paddled in a small bay called Imugya Marine Garden, and it was quite challenging to paddle as we couldn't move as smoothly as we hoped, but they stayed with us the whole time, giving us advice, and we gradually got the hang of it.

In the end, not only did the instructor take photos, but they also filmed with a drone and provided us with the footage. It became a truly wonderful memory.

夫71歳私64歳でせっかくの宮古島でもシュノーケリングなどのアクティビティは年齢制限があったりでこちらを見つけて参加しました。
前日にきっちりと電話をいただき天気予報が悪かったので日にちの変更もできるなど親切に説明して下さり、当日もあすに変更したりキャンセルもできるとこちらの意向を聞いて下さりとても親切でした。
小雨が降るあいにくの天気でしたがクリアカヤックは底から海の中が眺められるので熱帯魚が泳いでいるのが良く見えました。イムギャーマリンガーデンという小さな入り江の中だけでしたが漕ぐのはなかなか難しくて思うように進めなかったりしましたがずっとつきっきりでアドバイスしてもらい少しずつ要領がつかめました。
最後にインストラクターが撮った写真だけでなくドローンでも撮影してくれてそのデータをいただけました。すごく素敵な思い出になりました。

Since we took the early morning boat, there were few people in the sea, making it very comfortable. The instructor was very kind and supportive, and we had a lot of interesting stories, which made for a joyful time.

I definitely want to request this again when I come to Okinawa next time! I highly recommend it!

The mangroves were incredibly mysterious, and I was thrilled to learn about the ecology and names of the plants. The Blue Cave was canceled due to weather conditions, but we still had so much fun kayaking! Additionally, she recommended a great yakiniku restaurant in Ishigaki, so we had yakiniku for dinner! We spent the whole day feeling happy. I definitely want to join this tour again when I come back to Ishigaki!
