I wanted to go snorkeling in a beautiful sea, so I participated.

My first snorkeling experience!
It was a tour while a typhoon was approaching, but I was able to participate with peace of mind!
I was completely satisfied with the crystal-clear sea, beautiful coral, and the wonderful guide♥︎ I was able to relax! The onigiri I had for lunch was so delicious that it moved me♪
I want to go to Hatoma Island again!
I highly recommend this tour❤︎

そして、台風が近づいている中でのツアーでしたが、安心して参加出来ました！
透き通った海と、綺麗なサンゴと、素敵過ぎるガイドさんに大満足です♥︎のんびり過ごすことが出来ました！昼食で食べたおにぎりが美味し過ぎて感動♪
もう一回鳩間島に行きたい！

Barasu Island changes shape and number depending on the tides, which made me wonder what kind of island it really is... and it turned out to be an island formed by clusters of coral, both large and small. The surrounding sea was a beautiful blue, and I was very satisfied to see the corals, lovely fish, and even sea turtles.

I stayed at a small pension, and they came to pick me up properly. The car had waterproof seats, so I could sit down even while wet. Since I only did snorkeling, I ended up returning without changing.

I boarded the tour company's boat at Uehara Port and headed for Barasu Island. I was worried about seasickness, but I was so captivated by the scenery that I arrived in no time, so it wasn't a problem. We started with a simple snorkeling lesson at Barasu Island. They carefully taught us how to use the equipment and gave us tips. We swam from shallow areas to slightly deeper ones. Even if it's been a while since I last swam, this was not scary at all. I saw many colorful fish swimming gracefully among the corals.

It had been a while since my last snorkeling experience, but I felt secure knowing the guide was with us, and they led us while letting out a rope in case anything happened. Once I got used to it, we snorkeled around on our own, and when we got tired, we took a little break on the island with some tea and brown sugar. After leaving Barasu Island, we went to a point to see sea turtles and clownfish. Sea turtles were a bit hard to spot, but they guided us well at the point, and I was able to see two of them. I wanted to see them swimming, but there's nothing that can be done about that.

It was a short half-day course that was enjoyable and efficient, and I was very satisfied. However, since Barasu Island is a popular spot in Iriomote, many boats came in the morning, making the snorkeling a bit crowded. I heard that it gets much less crowded in the afternoon. I also thought it would be nice for women if the boat had a shaded roof and a restroom.

バラス島は潮の関係が時期によって形が変わったり数が増えたりする、いったいどんな島なんだろう・・・と思ったら、ほんとに大小の珊瑚が集まってできた島でした。
周辺の海の青さと、珊瑚ときれいなお魚達、ウミガメまで見れて、大満足です。

小さなペンションに宿泊してましたがちゃんとお迎えに来てくれました。
車は防水シートが敷いてあるので、濡れたままでも座れます。シュノーケルだけだったので、結局着替えずに帰ってきました。

上原港で催行会社のボートに乗り、バラス島を目指します。
船酔いが心配でしたが、景色に見とれていたらあっという間に着いたので問題ありませんでした。
バラス島でまず簡単なシュノーケリング講習。
丁寧に使い方とコツを教えてくれます。
浅いところからまず泳いで行って、少し深めのところまでいきます。
泳ぐのが久しぶりでも、これなら怖くありません。
珊瑚にカラフルなお魚たちが優雅に泳ぐ姿が沢山見られました。
久しぶりのシュノーケリングでしたが、ガイドさんがちゃんとついていてくれること、また何かあったときに引っ張れるロープなようなものを流しながら先導してくれたので安心でした。
慣れてきたら、自分達で周辺をシュノーケリング、疲れたら島でお茶と黒糖でちょっとひとやすみ。
バラス島を離れ、ウミガメとニモ(かくれくまのみ)のポイントへ行きます。
ウミガメはちょっと見つけづらいですが、ちゃんとポイントで教えてくれたのでしっかり2匹見れました。
泳ぐ姿が見たかったけど、こればかりは仕方がないですね。
半日の短い時間でサクッと楽しめるコース、効率も良く大満足です。
ただ、バラス島はやっぱり西表では人気スポットのため、午前には多くの船が来ていてシュノーケルもやや混みでした。午後になるとかなり空いているそうです。
女性には、ボートに日陰となる屋根と、お手洗いがあると嬉しいなと思いました。

The weather was nice, and I had a very enjoyable time. The sea around Balas Island wasn't as beautiful as I had expected, which was a bit disappointing, but the spots around Hatoma Island were very beautiful. Neither location had strong currents, so even small children can enjoy it. My only complaint is that the free time for snorkeling was short; overall, I couldn't snorkel as freely as I would have liked. The course was predetermined, like during diving. However, I love snorkeling, so I would like to participate again. Thank you very much.

天気も良く、大変楽しい時間を過ごさせていただきました。
バラス島の海は思ったほどきれいではなく、少し残念でしたが、
鳩間島のポイントは大変きれいでした。
どちらも潮の流れがきつくないので、小さな子供でも楽しめます。
唯一の不満点は、シュノーケルの自由時間が短かい、
全体的にシュノーケルをあまり自由にできなかったことです。
ダイビングの時のようにコースが決まっていました。
でも、シュノーケルは大好きなのでまた参加したいと思います。

I participated in a day trip from Ishigaki. I was picked up at Uehara Port, and there were four of us traveling alone, including myself. Since it was during the rainy season, I was prepared for rain, but it turned out to be sunny! Our guide took us to two snorkeling points, and among them, Barasu Island was amazing. There seemed to be turtles as well, but I got so caught up in taking photos that I ended up feeling seasick and had to give up in the second half. It would be better to have an underwater camera.

In the afternoon, we headed for a waterfall with canoeing and trekking. Our guide was knowledgeable about the flora and fauna of Iriomote Island. I heard that at Iriomote Island Monsoon, where we were taken care of, you can also stay overnight, so next time I want to enjoy Iriomote Island with an overnight stay.

上原港でピックアップで、女性一人旅の方が自分含め4人いらっしゃいました。梅雨時でしたので雨を覚悟していましたが晴れました！ガイドさんに二つのシュノーケルポイントに案内して頂き、その中でもバラス島は素晴らしかったです。亀もいたみたいですが、写真を撮るのに夢中になってしまい、後半酔ってギブアップしてしまいました。水中カメラはあった方が良いです。
午後からは滝を目指してカヌーとトレッキングです。ガイドさんは西表島の動植物にも詳しく勉強されていました。お世話になった西表島モンスーンさんでは宿泊もできるそうなので次回は泊まりで西表島を堪能したいです。

It was very refreshing to experience negative ions and forest bathing. Canoeing was a lot of fun, and the trekking was at a perfect distance.

Although we couldn't go to the turtle point due to rough seas, we were able to swim very close to sea turtles around Baras Island. It was healing. I was very satisfied! Thank you for your hospitality.

マイナスイオンや森林浴ができて、とても清々しかったです。
カヌーもとても楽しかったし、トレッキングも程良い距離でよかったです。

海が荒れてウミガメポイントには行けなかったのですが、バラス島周辺でもウミガメととても近くで泳げました。癒されました。
