I went on a tour with Yufu Island and kayaking! Yufu Island had more attractions than I expected, and there were many photo spots to enjoy! I learned a lot about the mangroves while kayaking! Although my plans were slightly disrupted due to a canceled flight, I made my first visit to Iriomote Island. Since I was in Iriomote, I thought I should go on an adventure and decided to try canoeing. Fortunately, the weather improved. I was a bit anxious because I had children with me, but thanks to J's explanations, guidance, and assistance, it turned out to be a wonderful experience. Despite the strong winds caused by the typhoon, my experience was amazing from start to finish thanks to our guide, Abe-chan! Since it was high tide, we were also guided to the hard course, allowing us to have a unique experience that can only be done here. On the way back, Abe-chan spotted a "crowned eagle" and created an opportunity for the tour participants to observe it, making it an incredible experience all around! Next time I visit Iriomote Island, I want to challenge myself with a SUP tour here.

We participated as a family of four, with two daughters (one in 4th grade and the other in 2nd grade). From the departure point, we went through the turnaround point to the goal, and it was a solid distance. We enjoyed the experience together, feeling excited and returning to our childhood! Personally, the sunlight filtering through the mangrove forest was incredibly beautiful and became an unforgettable experience. My 2nd-grade daughter was able to paddle with an adult paddle all the way to the end, so I think elementary school students have no problem physically. The experience of maneuvering the canoe together while struggling was very rewarding. The guide provided slow and careful support, and shared stories about the nature and lifestyle of Iriomote Island at various points, making it a very enjoyable and educational time.

The scenic spot of Iriomote Island, the Pinai Falls. Since it's such a famous site, I decided to go with a highly-rated service and chose Iriomote Nature School.
At first, I was a bit worried because the pickup car didn't have good air conditioning, but once we arrived at the location, the detailed explanations and the guidance through the scenery were very pleasant.
They took photos at key points with my digital camera, making sure to capture good angles, which created wonderful memories. The photography at the basin of the Pinai Falls was well thought out and absolutely fantastic!
I plan to request this tour again when I go back. Thank you very much!

せっかくの名勝なので口コミ評判の良いところにお願いしようと思い、西表自然学校にしてみました。
お迎えの車はクーラーも効かず、ちょっと大丈夫かな〜との不安はよぎりましたが、現地に着いてからは丁寧な説明、その都度の景色をガイドいただきとても良い感じでした。
特にデジカメで写真を要所要所撮ってくれるし、良いアングルでの撮影を心がけてくれて、良い思い出もバッチリでした。

I hadn't made any plans before arriving at Iriomote Island, but I was interested in canyoning and was looking for a place that allowed same-day reservations. 1. I heard that you were waiting at Ōhara Port with a small whiteboard, but I couldn't confirm our name on it when I saw it. I received a phone call and was found. At that time, I was shown the whiteboard closely, but even after looking at it carefully, I couldn't confirm it. The marker was faint and smudged, and it seemed that three names were written, but no matter how many times I looked, it was indecipherable. Please write clearly with a marker that has enough ink so that others can read it. If the other party can't read it, it defeats the purpose.
2. I mentioned that we would be canoeing at Ōhara Port and then going to Hoshino Resort by rental car, but I was told that we couldn't load our luggage. I was only able to participate due to a last-minute doctor's stop, but if I had participated, wouldn't there have been no room for people in the car? This is not what we agreed upon.

3 終了して、三人家族とカップルと主人の６名で順番に着替えてお送りしたようですが、普通で考えれば、妻が大原港で待っているのですから
着替えの時間がかからない男一人の主人を一番に着替えさせて、待ち人がいる場所に送るのが常識だと思いますが
子供連れや、女性で着替えに時間がかかる他の二組を先に着替えさせて

As the typhoon approached, I signed up at the last minute, but due to strong winds, we switched to canyoning. Following the reliable Captain Macchan, we made our way through the forest, descending to the river to jump off rocks and slide down like on a slide. It was a fun activity with a sense of unity as we cheered each other on with other groups! We also took lots of photos and videos, creating wonderful memories of Iriomote Island!
In the afternoon, we had a course set for Yufu Island, but unfortunately, it was temporarily closed due to the typhoon. When I consulted with Captain Macchan, he suggested a tour around Iriomote Island. Thanks to him, we were able to explore every corner of Iriomote Island, which turned out to be great! Thank you for your flexible support.

I was worried about the mangrove canoe tour in the light rain, but it was actually the best!
Even though it was July, it wasn't too hot or too cold, and the river flow was gentle, allowing us to enjoy canoeing very comfortably.
During the bus ride and throughout the tour, our guides Yume and Yumi taught us a lot about Iriomote Island, mangroves, and the creatures that inhabit the area, which was very educational!
Both adults and elementary school children were extremely satisfied.

７月なのに暑くなく寒くなく、川の流れも穏やかで、とても快適にカヌーを楽しむことができました。

The kayaking time was just right for both the outbound and return trip. I knew we were aiming for the waterfall and its basin, but it turned out to be quite a challenging mountain climb—"rock climbing?!" We took breaks along the way, and with the guidance provided, even a middle-aged couple like us could keep up. I was amazed by the knowledge of our tour guide, Mr. Ishitaba! We had a great time hearing so much about Iriomote Island, its flora and fauna, and insects. I’m looking forward to participating in a different tour next time.

This time, I participated in a plan that included a trip to Yufu Island and a canyoning tour.
We were taken by shuttle to both Yufu Island and the canyoning location, and the guide shared a lot of information about Iriomote Island with us.
On Yufu Island, we rode on a water buffalo cart! Once we arrived, we had some free time, so we could relax and enjoy ourselves.
For the canyoning tour, we walked a bit to reach the river, but since we were chatting with the guide, we arrived at the river in no time. Once we got to the river, we could jump from high places and use our bodies to go down the water slide, which was so much fun!
It was an extraordinary experience, and I have the best memories!

I booked the tour hoping to see the sunset in nature, but it turned out to be much more than that. I had the rare experience of paddling through the mangrove-filled river on a stand-up paddleboard for the first time. The time flowed leisurely, and I was able to relax. It was great to feel the love for Iriomote from the guide's explanations, and the photos taken were truly wonderful!

The boat itself had a large number of people, but we had guides for smaller groups, which allowed us to enjoy the experience without any worries! The tour was quite efficient, so we were able to experience everything smoothly without long wait times or feeling sluggish, which was really great. The weather was clear, and the sea was crystal clear and beautiful! I was grateful that they took memorable photos for us throughout the trip. I participated in the morning canyoning tour! Before joining, I felt a mix of excitement and anxiety, but our guide, Tomochin, provided solid support, allowing us to have a great time. :)
I was thrilled to experience activities like jumping and swimming from various spots, which are not something I usually get to do! At the end, I jumped into the water from about 3 meters, and Tomochin did a backflip while diving in, which was really cool.

This was my first mangrove canoe experience. At first, I struggled a bit, but the instructor, Matsuko, kindly and enjoyably taught me, and I managed to reach the goal.
The blue sky and the green of the mangroves were very beautiful, and entering the mangroves and seeing the sunlight reflecting on the water's surface was enchanting and mystical.
I have visited Iriomote Island several times, but this was the most fun I've had. The pleasant muscle soreness has also become a good memory. Thank you very much.

In the morning, I went canyoneering for the first time with Komachan and Matsuko-san!
I was really nervous about the jumps, but once I jumped in, it was refreshing and so much fun. The river activities that I can't experience in Tokyo left a lasting impression.
The water was cold, but since the outside temperature was warm, I hardly felt cold and was able to enjoy it until the end!
I was also happy to interact with hermit crabs and a lot of tadpoles, and to play in the river while encountering fish and other creatures at my feet.
In the afternoon, I joined a mangrove canoe tour with Kajisan and Matsuko-san.
I was soaked and chilled from the rain in the morning, but the warmth of the water and the physical activity of canoeing made me feel pleasantly tired without freezing!
It was fun to see the tunnel for the Iriomote wildcat that can only be seen at low tide, interact with round crabs, and plant mangroves.
At the rainwater waterfall, the experience unique to the rain and the ability to focus on the fun, even while getting muddy and soaked, was something that could only happen because it was raining! The heavy rain on the way back was quite rare, and I was glad to experience it before the shower!
All three of us were very satisfied with the guides and support. I would love to join another tour when I come back to Iriomote Island.
午前中はこまちゃん×まつこさんと初めてのキャニオング！
飛び込みはすっごくドキドキしたけど飛び込んじゃうと爽快でとても楽しかったです。
東京では体験できない川遊びがとても思い出に残りました。
水は冷たかったですが外の気温が暖かいので寒さはほとんどなく最後まで楽しむことができました！
ヤドカリや大量のおたまじゃくしと触れ合ったり、川の中では足元に川魚と生き物と触れ合いながら遊べたのも嬉しかったです。
午後はかじさん×まつこさんとのマングローブ・カヌーツアー
午前中でずぶ濡れ+雨で冷え切っていましたが水中の暖かさと体力仕事のカヌー体験で凍えずに良い感じの疲労感でした！
干潮時ならではのイリオモテヤマネコ用のトンネル拝見や丸いカニとの触れ合い、マングローブ植えが楽しかったです。
雨水滝では雨ならではの体験や泥まみれになってもずぶ濡れになってもどうせ雨だし！と楽しさに集中できるのは雨だからこそでした！！帰り際の豪雨はなかなか珍しいレベルだったらしく、シャワー前に豪雨を体験できてよかったです！！
３人ともガイドやサポートも丁寧でとても満足しました。また西表島に来た時はツアーに参加したいです。

Our tour consisted of four people: two in a canoe and two on a SUP. The weather was cloudy and pleasantly cool.
The hotel pick-up was smooth, but once we arrived at the spot, we found water inside the canoe and had to wait for a replacement. As a result, the tour started about 30-40 minutes late, but we moved from the sea to the river on the canoe/SUP, got off to walk and explore up to the waterfall, and despite getting soaked in the rain along the way, it turned out to be a wilder experience than we expected, lasting just over two hours.
私たち(2人)はカヌー、もう2名はSUPの4名でのツアーでした。天気は曇り、涼しいくらいの気温。
ホテルの送迎はスムーズでしたが、スポットに移動したらカヌーの中に水が入っており、交換を待たなければいけないアクシデントが。そのためツアー時間が30-40分ほど後ろ倒しになりましたが、海→川をカヌー/SUPで移動し、一度降りてその先の滝まで歩いて探検と、途中雨も降ってずぶ濡れになりながら思っていたよりはワイルドな2時間強となりました。

Although the cloudy sky prevented us from seeing a starry night, it was an incredibly fulfilling night tour that made us forget about it. Watching the sunset and the sky gradually darkening from the river was truly magical.
Paddling through the calm waters in a kayak, we explored the nighttime mangrove forest. The sounds of birds and the sight of bats flying around were exhilarating!
What impressed me the most were the bioluminescent plankton. The shimmering surface of the water felt like we were in another world.
