I really wanted to see the view from the top of the Pinaisara Falls on Iriomote Island, so I signed up for this tour, which had no age restrictions. The place the guide pointed to as the starting point was a cliff. I thought, "Seriously?! We're climbing this cliff?!" and felt a bit regretful... but after about 40 minutes of gripping tree roots, I managed to make it to the top. The view from above the falls was absolutely unforgettable and amazing. I was told I was the oldest among those who climbed this year, but the guide was very kind and provided great support, which made me feel at ease. The explanations about the rare plants and animals were also very educational.
西表島のピナイサーラ滝の上からの光景をどうしても見たくて、年齢制限のなかったこのツアーを申し込みました。「ここから登ります」と指さされた場所は、崖。「マジですか！？こんな崖を登るの！？」と少し後悔しましたが⋯そこから40分ほど木の根っこを掴みながら何とか登りきりました。滝の上からの景色は一生忘れられない素晴らしいものでした。今年登った人の中の最高齢と言われましたが、ガイドさんが優しく指導してくれたので安心でした。珍しい動植物の説明もとても勉強になりました。
70歳前後でも登れますが、普段のトレーニングは必須です。トイレも6時間我慢しました。

It wasn't just a tour where you are taken around; it was a valuable experience that allowed me to deeply understand the nature of Iriomote Island.
Kayaking through the great outdoors was a bit chilly, but jumping into the pool at the Pinaisara Falls was an amazing memory. Thank you for recommending great places to eat in Ishigaki Island! I was hoping to go snorkeling, but due to bad weather, it was changed. What a shame.
In the morning, I went on a mangrove canoe tour guided by Matsushita, also known as Macchan. We paddled up the river with mangroves on both sides. The current was gentle, and while listening to explanations about the island, we smoothly made our way forward, enjoying the magnificent nature. Before turning back, we landed on the shore to see some plants and a waterfall. On the way back, we relaxed and arrived at the estuary without having to paddle.
After a lunch break, in the afternoon, we went canyoning guided by Shogo. We walked over rocky areas, jumped in about three times, and slid down the stream. At the waterfall, we enjoyed being hit by the flow, going behind it, and fully experiencing the great outdoors! When climbing the rocks or jumping into the river, the guides carefully showed us where to place our feet, allowing us to play safely.
Canoeing and canyoning may seem difficult, but the guides pay close attention and teach you, so there were no injuries, and it's fine even for beginners. I think even elementary school students can do it. Since we came all the way to Iriomote Island, I believe it's better to leave it to the guides to fully enjoy the island's nature and play safely, plus they teach you various things about the island, which is very helpful.
This time it was winter, so unfortunately the weather wasn't great, but I was very satisfied. Especially canyoning is definitely worth doing at least once!
Also, they provide wetsuits, so it wasn't cold, and we could use the shower after the experience. We got to take a lot of photos as well. I was a bit anxious since it was an unfamiliar place and I was meeting the guides for the first time, but everything turned out to be great!

午前中はまっちゃんこと松下さんのガイドの元、マングローブカヌーでした。マングローブを両サイドに見ながら、川を上っていきます。流れも穏やかで、島の説明を聞き、雄大な自然を見ながら、スイスイ進んでいきます。折り返し前に陸地に上陸し、植物を見たり、滝を見たり。帰りは漕がなくてものんびりしながら河口につきました。
お昼休憩を挟んで、午後は翔吾さんガイドの元、キャニオニング。岩場を歩いて、途中3回ほど飛び込みをしたり、沢を滑り降りたりしました。滝では、流れに打たれたり、裏側へ回ったり、大自然を満喫しました！岩場を登る時や川に飛び込む時も、足の置き場まで丁寧に教えてくださり、安全に遊べました。
カヌーもキャニオニングも難しそうに感じますが、ガイドさんが細かく見てくれ、教えてくださるので、怪我もないですし、初めてでも大丈夫です。小学生でも大丈夫だと思いました。
せっかく西表島に来るからには、島の自然を満喫でき、楽しく安全に遊べるよう、ガイドさんにお任せしたほうがいいと思いますし、島の色んなことも教えてもらえるので、とても助かります。
今回は冬だったので、あいにくの天気でしたが、大満足でした。特にキャニオニングは一度やる価値有りです！
あと、ウエットスーツは貸してもらえるので寒くはないですし、体験後シャワーも使えました。写真もたくさん撮ってもらえました。なんとなく、始まるまでは知らない土地だし、ガイドさんも初めて会うので不安でしたが、色々ハズレなし感でした。

We had a great time with a friendly guide and about six participants, which was just the right size for the experience. We were able to see coconut crabs and hermit crabs! Even if you're not comfortable with animals or insects, you can still enjoy it without having to touch them. If you stay on Iriomote Island, I highly recommend the night tour.

I participated in the Pinai Sara Falls Canoe & Barasu Island Snorkeling Tour. Canoeing and trekking were physically demanding, but the excitement of seeing the waterfall up close is something I will never forget. Our guide was the best, patiently teaching us even as beginners and keeping the atmosphere fun during the trip!
I was also happy that they took a lot of photos and I could receive them later via AirDrop.
During snorkeling, I was able to see four sea turtles, and I was amazed by the clownfish and the beautiful coral reef world. The videos and photos taken with a high-quality camera are treasures. This is a tour that allows you to fully enjoy both the sea and mangroves of Iriomote Island, and I wholeheartedly recommend it!

I made a reservation the day before, and they kindly accepted me, allowing me to join the tour. The travel time was interesting as I heard many things about Iriomote Island that I had never known before!
During canyoning, I couldn't bring anything except my GoPro camera, but thanks to the many photos and videos they took, I have wonderful memories!
After the tour, they also recommended a nearby lunch spot after dropping us off, so we were able to spend the waiting time for the boat without any issues!

I participated in a stargazing and night tour. It was a thrilling experience to venture into the pitch-black jungle with just a flashlight, something I could never do alone. It was truly an extraordinary experience unique to the tour! Thanks to our skilled guide, we discovered five coconut crabs, encountered two sleeping green pigeons in the trees, scorpions, the great eggfly butterfly, and various types of frogs. Finally, when we reached the coast, we were greeted by a breathtaking view of the starry sky stretching as far as the eye could see. Unfortunately, it was pouring rain, and I wasn't lucky, but there's nothing I can do about that. I gave up on the starry sky and decided to join the night tour, and I was thrilled to encounter many creatures I had never seen before, like coconut crabs and habu snakes! I'm glad I participated, thinking that since I came all the way to Iriomote Island, I shouldn't cancel.

The weather was wonderful, and it felt really nice. I highly recommend this place for those who want to experience something extraordinary in a jungle that feels like dinosaurs might appear! As an adult, I’ve found that I don’t get to let loose as much anymore, but I had a great time climbing and jumping around. I was quite nervous about the jumps, but the instructor, Koma-chan, really encouraged and cheered me on, so I managed to do it! I couldn’t bring my own camera for safety reasons, but the instructor took photos for us, which was great for capturing memories.

恐竜が出てきそうな雰囲気のジャングルで、非日常を味わいたい方に大変おすすめです！
大人になってから全力ではしゃぐことも減っていましたが、登ったり、飛び込んだりと、すごく楽しかったです。

I was hesitant to participate until the last minute because I'm not good with bugs, but I'm really glad I joined!!! Even just seeing one cockroach was exciting and different from what I'm used to in the Kanto region, and I learned a lot, which made it very interesting. I was able to see about 5 or 6 coconut crabs as well. Additionally, the starry sky beyond the jungle was amazing. It's not often you get the chance to see the Milky Way with the naked eye, so I recommend participating if you're on the fence about it. The guide, Koma-chan, was very friendly and approachable, and the stories were entertaining.

ゴキブリひとつとっても関東とは違う柄だったりとドキドキしつつも学びがあって大変面白かったです。
ヤシガニも5.6匹？見ることができました。
また、ジャングルを超えた先の星空も最高でした。
肉眼で天の川を見れる機会はそうそうないので、迷っている方は参加してみることをお勧めします。
ガイドをしてくださったコマちゃんも大変気さくな方で親しみやすく、お話も面白かったです。

Of course, the starry sky was the best, and during the jungle exploration, we had a great time as a team discovering coconut crabs, scorpions, and butterflies—an enriching experience that you can't have in everyday life. Even during the shuttle to the accommodation, we encountered an M-sized coconut crab crossing the road, making it a tour full of great service until the very end!

On my first trip to Iriomote Island, I participated in a night jungle and starry sky tour with my girlfriend. It just so happened to be the night of a meteor shower, and our guide took us to the beach at the peak time for viewing meteors, allowing everyone to have extra time to see them. I received a call the day before regarding the meeting time, and the service was very attentive from the pick-up to the tour on the day itself. I experienced snorkeling and canyoning at Baras Island. We visited two spots, including Baras Island made of coral fragments and a beautiful sea with coral. I was thrilled to encounter colorful fish and even sharks. During canyoning, I walked through a subtropical forest, climbed cliffs, and enjoyed the thrill of jumping into the river and natural water slides! It was a bit scary, but the fun outweighed it. We took a lot of photos, which were sent to us right away! Finally, we enjoyed a warm shower, making it comfortable. It was a satisfying day where I could fully experience the great outdoors.

It was my first snorkeling experience at Barasu Island!!
Barasu Island, formed by rising coral, was mystical. The water was crystal clear and shiny without any waves, which was amazing! I was lucky enough to see a sea turtle, which was said to have a 30% chance of being spotted, and it made me feel fantastic. I would like to express my gratitude to the staff and the owner for their great support. My family participated in the tour, but we struggled with the canoeing. However, the female staff member kindly supported us and took great photos from good positions. I really appreciated her consideration.
Additionally, the owner shared various stories about Iriomote Island during our car ride, for which I am thankful. When my smartphone ran out of battery and I couldn't present my ticket for the ferry to Ishigaki Island, the owner kindly followed up and checked on us.
Thank you for all your help. Next time I visit Iriomote Island, I would like to join a different tour! I will definitely be back!

Although we couldn't see the beautiful Milky Way due to the clouds, we were able to discover several coconut crabs. We also encountered various creatures, including different types of crabs, frogs, and scorpions. I would love to visit Iriomote Island again.

It was really great. I felt at ease participating thanks to the guide's careful instructions. Walking through the jungle was a bit thrilling, but it was exciting as well. The night sky from the beach was filled with countless stars, and I was truly moved. Along the way, I encountered various creatures and had an extraordinary experience. This is definitely a tour you should experience when you go to Iriomote!
