I landed on Iriomote Island for the first time, and this tour was truly amazing!!! The woman guiding the mangrove boat tour gave really great explanations. The bus driver's stories on the way to the boarding area for Yubu Island were also a lot of fun, making us laugh on the bus. The stories about the water buffalo on Yubu Island were interesting, and I'm really glad I participated.

You can smoothly visit the three islands. I participated in this tour because I wanted to explore the island smoothly during my honeymoon.
I was worried about whether there would be something I could eat for lunch, but it was very delicious, and I finished it in no time! The champuru was the best I had on this trip.
The drivers of the bus, boat, and water buffalo were all very entertaining, and I really felt that joining this tour was a great decision.
We chose to bike around Taketomi Island, but even with our confidence in reading maps, we got lost, so it might be better to head back a little earlier. We were able to ride around the sea and the Nishi Sanzan Bridge, and we also enjoyed a mango smoothie in the center, so choosing to bike was definitely the right choice!

Since I was pregnant, I decided to use this service this time. I thought it would be a waste to just see the mangroves and Yufu Island in Iriomote Island and then go home. So cute! He should muster up the courage and confess (laughs). I wonder if he's working energetically today. I want to go see him again. I also got to listen to the sanshin, and the lunch in Yufuin was delicious. Since then, I've become hooked on the oil miso and even bought some as souvenirs, which made my bag heavy (laughs). I joined this tour that allows you to visit three islands because I wanted to travel alone to various places. I noticed many people were traveling solo as well, and since there wasn't much interaction with other groups, I was able to relax comfortably.

The ferry has free seating, and of course, the window seats fill up first. Everything runs on time, so as long as you make it, you won't be left behind, but arriving early will get you better seats.
During the sightseeing tour of Iriomote Island, I learned various things about the island while enjoying fun stories. I was lucky enough to see a crested serpent eagle. It's said that the Iriomote wildcat is nocturnal and rarely seen. Personally, I enjoyed the mangrove tour as well, but the bus tour to Yubu Island after the sightseeing was also fun. On Yubu Island, we moved around on water buffaloes. There were fast and slow ones, so which one you ride is a matter of luck. 西表島の遊覧では楽しい話とともに西表島の様々なことが知れます。運良くカンムリワシ見れました。イリオモテヤマネコは夜行性で見れることはほぼないそう。私的にはマングローブツアーも楽しかったですが、遊覧降りてから由布島までのバス観光もたのしかったです。運転手さんの話がおもしろい。
由布島では水牛にのって移動。早い子、遅い子様々でどの子に乗れるかは運次第。1番前の席は見渡せ、牛がしっかり見えますが、排泄シーンでは水が飛ぶことがあるので注意。
由布島では唯一触れ合える水牛のルイくんと写真撮れます。無料の小さな写真と有料の立派な写真が買えたり。この島で昼食、お弁当見たいなごはんで美味しかったです。その後はすこし自由時間をとり、また水牛にのり、バスに乗り、船に乗り。
竹富島では申し込んだプランでフリータイム。
フリーウォークのプランでしたが、集落の入り口までは歩いて10分ほど。そんなに遠くないです。
西桟橋までならフリーウォークで十分楽しめました。星の砂の浜だと厳しいかもしれませんが、桟橋でもとってもきれいな海を見れました。
その後は好きな時間のフェリーにのり、離島ターミナルへ。とっても楽しい1日でした。

Personally, I found the time allocation just right. To conclude, the Nakama River cruise, which I had the least expectations for, turned out to be the best. The guide was wonderful, and we stopped to look for wild birds, sometimes even turning back. Additionally, the bus ride from Nakama River to Yufu Island was great, with the driver's talk about daily life and shopping on Iriomote Island being enjoyable. When we spotted a crested serpent eagle along the way, the bus stopped so we could take a good look, which was very satisfying. I think both the mangrove cruise and the bus ride were a hit thanks to the people involved. However, I had high expectations for the water buffalo cart to Yufu Island, and after riding it twice, I was disappointed both times. The water buffalo cart experience I had on Taketomi Island last time was much more satisfying. Overall, since this was my first time in Iriomote Island, I think it was a good tour. 個人的には程よい時間配分でちょうどよかったです。結論から言うと、一番期待していなかった仲間川クルーズが一番よかった。船頭さんの案内が素晴らしくマングローブは勿論、野鳥を探しては停まったり時には戻ったりしていただけました。また、仲間川から由布島までのバスも運転手さんのトークが最高で西表島の日常や買い物事情など楽しかったです。そして道中、カンムリワシを発見した時はバスを停車させてじっくり見させてもらえ大満足。マングローブクルーズもバスも人次第なので大当たりだったと思います。しかし、由布島へ渡る水牛車は大きな期待をしていただけに往復2回乗りますが、どちらもがっかりでした。想像していたスケールよりもかなり小さく、トークも定型的でした。期待の三線演奏もこれまた形式的で演奏が心に響くことはありませんでした。前回体験した竹富島の水牛車の方が内容はずっと満足出来るものでした。
今回は初めての西表島だったので総合的にはよいツアーだったと思います。次はアクティビティに参加したいです。

The weather was favorable on the day of the tour, so I was satisfied to cross to Yufu Island on a water buffalo under the blue sky, just as I had envisioned. The bus driver's stories on Iriomote Island were also interesting, and on Taketomi Island, I appreciated being able to choose the ferry time back to Ishigaki Island, allowing for more freedom in my activities.
I didn't book a rental bicycle for Taketomi Island as part of the tour, but I was able to rent one from a shop at Taketomi Port. Since it was a time of strong sunlight (mid-September), I recommend using a bicycle for getting around the island.

It was a great tour that allowed us to efficiently visit Iriomote Island, Yufu Island, and Taketomi Island. Our stay on Taketomi Island was about an hour, but we were able to stop by Koidon Beach, the star sand, and a café by bicycle, making it a very satisfying tour for our family of four. The lunch box was also delicious.

First, we took a sightseeing boat where we listened to explanations while viewing the mangroves, and during the ride on a water buffalo to Yubu Island, there was a performance of traditional music on the sanshin. On the next stop, Taketomi Island, we chose to rent bicycles, but we got lost with just the map and ended up using Google Maps. We found star sand, took a break with pineapple smoothies, and before we knew it, the tour was over. It was great to visit three islands in such a condensed way on this tour.

The course fulfilled my wish to ride an ox cart for both the island tour of Taketomi Island and the sea transfer to Yufu Island. The lunch was a bento box filled with Okinawan cuisine; it was cold but still quite edible. The sightseeing time on Yufu Island felt a bit short, but considering the entire itinerary, it was understandable. However, after arriving at Taketomi Island, I found it difficult to locate the microbus for transfers, as the staff waiting a little distance away didn't have any signs, which led to some confusion.
竹富島の島内観光も、由布島までの海上の移動もどちらも牛車に乗りたい、という希望が叶ったコースでした。
お昼ごはんも沖縄らしい料理が詰め合わせになったお弁当で、冷えてましたが割と食べれました。由布島での観光時間は足りないくらいでしたが、すべての行程を考えれば仕方ないかな、と。
ただ、竹富島に着いてから移動のマイクロバスが分かりにくく、看板とかも持ってないスタッフが少し離れたところに待機してるのを見つけられず右往左往しました。

Before my trip, I looked up the ferry schedules and the bus times on Ishigaki Island, and I considered visiting three islands without booking a tour, but I'm glad I decided to book one. Since I couldn't choose the rental bicycle option with kids, I opted for the free walk. When we arrived at Yufu Island, there were about three rental bicycle wagons waiting, but only one company had children's bicycles available, so we managed to rent one. I think walking would be fine if it weren't hot, but in the summer, renting a bicycle seems like a better option.

子供がいるとレンタサイクル付きが選べなかったので、フリーウォークにしました。由布島に着くと3社くらいレンタサイクルのワゴンが待っていましたが、子供用自転車は1社だけ空きありでなんとか借りられました。暑くなければ歩いてもいいと思いますが、夏はレンタサイクルがいいかと思います。
