The hotel shuttle service was very helpful! It turned out to be a fulfilling day, and I would like to use it again! I received tickets and used them one by one for the activities. During the morning cruise, we coincided with high tide, and since it was right after a typhoon, we couldn't see the mangroves very well, but we were able to see different routes and various plants! I participated in early October. Since it was a Sunday, the boat was quite crowded. I recommend lining up early. They efficiently take you around three spots in one day, so I highly recommend it. I think it would be difficult to explore Iriomote Island on your own. Since it was a tour, we were able to efficiently visit key points without wasting time. The guide for the water buffalo cart was absolutely fantastic.

On Taketomi Island, I had free time as per the plan I signed up for. It was a free walk plan, but it takes about 10 minutes to walk to the entrance of the village, which isn't too far. I enjoyed the free walk to Nishizaki Pier. It might be tough at Hoshi no Sunahama, but the pier offered a beautiful view of the sea.

After that, I took the ferry at my preferred time back to the island terminal. It was a very enjoyable day.

出発前に離島ターミナル内のカウンターで説明とチケットを受け取ります。チケットは都度回収されるので無くさないように。説明は充分にされ、不明点がないほどしっかりされました。

フェリーは自由席。やはり窓側から埋まります。時間ぴったりに全て旅の計画は進むので間に合えば置いていかれることはない、けど早い方がいい席は取れます。

西表島の遊覧では楽しい話とともに西表島の様々なことが知れます。運良くカンムリワシ見れました。イリオモテヤマネコは夜行性で見れることはほぼないそう。私的にはマングローブツアーも楽しかったですが、遊覧降りてから由布島までのバス観光もたのしかったです。運転手さんの話がおもしろい。

由布島では水牛にのって移動。早い子、遅い子様々でどの子に乗れるかは運次第。1番前の席は見渡せ、牛がしっかり見えますが、排泄シーンでは水が飛ぶことがあるので注意。
由布島では唯一触れ合える水牛のルイくんと写真撮れます。無料の小さな写真と有料の立派な写真が買えたり。この島で昼食、お弁当見たいなごはんで美味しかったです。その後はすこし自由時間をとり、また水牛にのり、バスに乗り、船に乗り。

竹富島では申し込んだプランでフリータイム。
フリーウォークのプランでしたが、集落の入り口までは歩いて10分ほど。そんなに遠くないです。
西桟橋までならフリーウォークで十分楽しめました。星の砂の浜だと厳しいかもしれませんが、桟橋でもとってもきれいな海を見れました。

その後は好きな時間のフェリーにのり、離島ターミナルへ。とっても楽しい1日でした。

今回は初めての西表島だったので総合的にはよいツアーだったと思います。次はアクティビティに参加したいです。

The weather was favorable on the day of the tour, so I was satisfied to cross to Yufu Island on a water buffalo under the blue sky, just as I had envisioned. The bus driver's stories on Iriomote Island were also interesting, and on Taketomi Island, I appreciated being able to choose the ferry time back to Ishigaki Island, allowing for more freedom in my activities.

I didn't book a rental bicycle for Taketomi Island as part of the tour, but I was able to rent one from a shop at Taketomi Port. Since it was a time of strong sunlight (mid-September), I recommend using a bicycle for getting around the island.
