I would love to join again when I visit Iriomote! The next day, I participated in a tour with the same Iriomote Nature School that included canoeing, waterfalls, and snorkeling, and that was also fantastic. Thank you!

ガイドの方の天体への知識量が多く、沢山解説してくださったので星に思いを馳せながらゆったり過ごせました！

I visited Iriomote Island for the first time, and it truly became a wonderful memory! It was the most enjoyable tour of my 5-day trip.
There was no one around except for the tour guide and the two of us, and we listened closely to the sounds of the birds and owls of Iriomote Island in the quiet space. Looking up, we saw many stars, and beneath the surface, the glowing dinoflagellates.
Although there were many clouds, the guide provided detailed explanations about the constellations and satellites visible between the clouds. Thank you for the wonderful time; I’m recommending it to my friends!

初めて西表島へ行きましたが本当に素敵な思い出になりました！5日間の旅行の中で1番楽しかったツアーです。

Although I was a bit anxious due to the rain just before the night tour, I had an amazing time. From the moment we arrived, the starry sky was beautiful, and I was so moved to see fireflies that all my worries disappeared! We then ventured into the jungle, where our tour guide provided detailed explanations, and we were able to spot many creatures like coconut crabs and giant land crabs at various spots.

I will never forget the starry sky we saw on the sandy beach! I had no idea there were such beautiful stars. As beginners in night tours, we had a fantastic experience. I definitely want to come back to Iriomote Island! Please let us join the tour again next time!!!

I did the "Night Kayak" ten years ago when I visited Iriomote Island, and I couldn't forget the breathtaking starry sky I saw then. I had always wanted to do it again, and this time, I was overjoyed to be able to share it with my grown son.

We set off before it got dark, and it was a luxurious experience to savor the passage of time as each star appeared one by one.

After the daytime mangroves and Pinai Sara Falls, we participated in a stargazing session led by a professional, which was breathtaking and created unforgettable memories.

While enjoying the lovely twilight, we headed out for a night canoe trip. Unlike during the day, the calm waves allowed us to move slowly, and as we glided through the mangroves in silence, we experienced nature up close with many bats flying nearby.

As we returned from the mangroves, stars began to appear one by one, and before we knew it, the sky was filled with countless stars. Additionally, bioluminescent plankton started to show up near the canoe, allowing us to enjoy a wonderful night.

We even received lovely souvenirs, making our unforgettable memories of Iriomote Island even more special! I highly recommend this for family trips as well as for couples!

There were no animals. While it's understandable that animals might not be visible, I think it's questionable to hold the event during this season. Above all, I found it terrible that the actual time was less than half of what was stated.

I was worried that the bad weather would prevent us from seeing the stars, but the wind cleared the clouds, and we were able to enjoy the best starry sky. I was worried it might be cloudy, but fortunately, it was clear on the day, and I was able to see a perfect starry sky. I've been to several places with beautiful starry skies, but this might be the best. It was really great.
The jungle exploration was also very satisfying, as I encountered several coconut crabs and purple land hermit crabs.

The instructions for the meeting place were unclear, yet they showed displeasure for not arriving on time. There were no other tour participants, so it wasn't a situation where anyone would be inconvenienced. I didn't feel any hospitality. I didn't see a single animal. I would have been better off relaxing in my room. I cannot recommend this at all.

待ち合わせ場所の指示が不明確なのが悪いのに、時間通りにつかなかったことに不機嫌をあらわにしてくる。他のツアー参加者もおらず、誰に迷惑かかる状況でもないのに。ホスピタリティを感じない。1匹も動物も見れなかった。これなら部屋でゆっくりしてたほうがマシだった。全くお勧めできない。

When I was abroad, I often got to see coconut crabs, but I was actually surprised to see such large coconut crabs here as well. It felt just like being overseas... (laughs) Jungle exploration is great, but for me, the starry sky was truly moving. The guide was someone who understood how to enjoy the experience from the customer's perspective, going beyond just being a regular guide. They not only showed us how to look at the sky but also taught us about the positions of the constellations and even how to take photos of the starry sky with an iPhone. I was guided by the veteran Iwamoto, who has been in this field for 30 years, to the mouth of the Urauchi River by canoe. The sunset viewed from the water was absolutely stunning. After seeing a sky full of stars, we entered a mysterious narrow stream. In the darkness, I saw bats flying in front of me, heard the sounds of fish jumping, the rustling of something stepping on fallen leaves, and the hooting of an owl—everything felt eerie and mystical (there's no way I would have gone without Iwamoto). By the time we returned to the mouth of the river, it was completely dark. In that setting, as I dipped the paddle into the water to head back to the starting point, countless glow-in-the-dark insects lit up, which was also very mystical. I’ve done various activities like daytime mangrove kayaking and night jungle tours, but this was the best optional tour. Next time I come, I definitely want to do this with my kids as well!

この道30年のベテラン岩本さんに案内して頂き、カヌーで浦内川河口付近へ。水上から見るサンセットは最高でした。満点の星を見た後は、怪しげな細い流域に入ります。暗闇の中、目の前をコウモリが飛んだと思えば、あちこちで魚が跳ねる音、何かが落ち葉を踏む音、ミミズクの鳴き声、全てが不気味&神秘的です（岩本さん無しで行く気には到底なりません）。河口に戻ってくる頃には完全に暗闇です。そんな中で、スタート地点に戻ろうと水面にパドルを差し込むと、無数の夜行虫が光って、これもまたとても神秘的です。昼間のマングローブカヤック、歩きでのナイトジャングルツアーなど、色々やりましたが、オプショナルツアーとしてはこれが最高でした。次回来たら、今度は子供も入れて必ずやりたいと思います！

Due to the rain in the evening, the stargazing tour was canceled. The night tour for wildlife observation also had to turn back midway because the trail was muddy. I understand it couldn't be helped, but it was quite disappointing in many ways. However, I was very satisfied because I was able to see the forest in full bloom with the Sagarihana. The guide's efforts to keep the mood up and his stories were also entertaining.

夕方からの雨のため、星空ツアーが中止となった。野生動物観察のナイトツアーも、トレイルがぬかるんでいて途中で引き返し。　仕方ないと思うけれど、いろいろ残念だった。しかし、一番見たかったサガリバナ満開の森は見ることができたので大満足。ガイドのお兄さんの盛り上げようとする頑張りとお話も面白かった。
