I participated with my 4-year-old and 2-year-old children. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we wore masks the entire time (including the kids). The mangrove tour was very sunny and hot, so it's important to stay hydrated. The kids were a bit fussy throughout since we had to wake up early. I felt that this kind of tour might be a bit too early for children of this age. (The parents got tired. Haha.) The water buffalo cart and sightseeing in Yubujima were very enjoyable, as the water buffalo were adorable. The lunch bento included ingredients and dishes typical of Okinawa, which was great. The kids had zaru soba separately. I recommend taking commemorative photos with the water buffalo during the Yubujima tour. Since it starts early, I think parents with preschoolers should ensure they get a good night's sleep the night before to enjoy the tour.
4歳と2歳の子供を連れて参加しました。コロナ禍ということもあり、基本はマスクをずっと着用しました。（子供も）マングローブ遊覧はとにかく日差しが強い、暑いので水分補給はこまめにした方がいいです。子ども達は朝が早かったこともあり、終始ぐづついていました…。これくらいの歳の子達にはまだマングローブ遊覧は早いかな？という印象でした。（親が疲れました。笑）由布島の水牛車や観光は、水牛さん達が可愛くてとても楽しかったです。お昼のお弁当も沖縄らしい食材や料理が入っており、すごく良いです。子ども達は別途、ざる蕎麦を食べさせました。由布島観光の水牛さんとの記念撮影はオススメです。朝が早いので未就学児連れの方はツアーを楽しむためにも前日しっかり寝かせておいた方がいいと思います。

I thought it would be quite a fast-paced tour since we were visiting three islands in one day, and it turned out to be just that. However, for someone like me who was visiting for the first time, this speed was actually very comfortable. We got to sample the best parts of each island and fully enjoy the main attractions, which made for a very high level of satisfaction. If there’s an island I particularly liked, I can visit it again next time, and since I've already been there once, I think I’ll be able to enter smoothly and enjoy it even more!

This tour was perfect for our family, who are beginners at visiting remote islands (father, mother who is four months pregnant, and a five-year-old child)! It was an efficient way to visit the classics.
Since transportation costs and lunch are included, we could move smoothly without any hesitation. The round-trip high-speed ferry is relatively large, so even with slightly high waves, it was comfortable and we didn't get seasick. We were able to take a nap during the trip, which allowed us to explore the islands energetically.
The lunch featuring mimiga (pork ear) with shikuwasa and purple sweet potato tempura was delicious and memorable! Our five-year-old child was free for the tour, so they didn't have lunch, but the portion was large enough that we could share from the mother's plate, which worked out perfectly.
I felt that the time spent on Taketomi Island was short. It was a remote island where I could appreciate the atmosphere and the beauty of the sea. I would love to visit again next time, especially the cobalt blue Kondoi Beach and Kaiji Beach, where you can find star sand.

昼食のシークワサー風ミミガーと紫芋の芋もちのようなウムクジ天ぷらが美味しくて印象的でした！5歳の子どもはツアー料金無料なので昼食は出ませんでしたが、1人分の量が多いので母の分を取り分けてあげて丁度良かったです。
竹富島の滞在時間が短く感じました。
島内の雰囲気や海の美しさが好きだなぁと思える離島でした。コバルトブルーのコンドイビーチや、星の砂が見つかるカイジ浜など、また次回ゆっくり訪れたいです。

However, we were guided through a route that can only be accessed during high tide. On Yubu Island, we enjoyed a round trip on a water buffalo cart and a lunch while exploring the island. The tour of Ishigaki Island is perfect for those without a car, allowing you to efficiently visit the highlights of the island in about half a day. At Kabira Bay, you can choose to ride a glass-bottom boat or go for a walk. The glass-bottom boat was available at a special tour price, making it a great deal. We even saw turtles!
The guide continuously shared various stories about Ishigaki Island without a break, which was very enjoyable. For lunch, there were plenty of local dishes, and I left feeling full. The view from there was also very beautiful.
In the latter part of the tour on Taketomi Island, there was no guide, but we showed our tickets to board the boat, and upon arrival, we were quickly picked up by a car, which then took us to ride a water buffalo cart. The flow of the tour was very smooth, which was great.
During the photo session with the water buffalo, we received a free commemorative photo, which was a wonderful keepsake. After that, we explored on our own, but due to the busy season in July, all the rental bicycles were fully booked, so I couldn't rent one. If you want to rent a bicycle, it might be a good idea to make a reservation in advance.
I explored on foot and enjoyed a leisurely time for about an hour and a half. For the return boat, you can choose between 4 PM or 5 PM. The shuttle bus to the boat was also smoothly arranged, which was very good.

その後の水牛との写真撮影では無料の記念の写真も貰えとても良い記念になりました。
その後は各自散策しますが、７月の繁忙期のため着いてからレンタサイクルは予約がいっぱいで借りられませんでした。もしレンタサイクル希望なら事前に予約がいいかもしれません。
私は徒歩で散策しましたが、約１時間半のんびりできました。
帰りの船は、16時か17時で選べます。船までの送迎バスも予約がスムーズでとても良かったです。

It was a sunny day in July, so it was really hot, and staying hydrated and protecting against UV rays were essential. The UV levels are said to be seven times higher than in Tokyo. Since this is a daytime tour, I think it's especially important for those visiting in the summer to take precautions.

We set sail on a boat and immediately headed to the mangrove cruise in Iriomote Island... The explanations were very easy to understand, and I was satisfied! I participated in this trip as a solo traveler. Although I felt a bit lonely since there were no other solo travelers, the continuous beautiful scenery made me forget about that. If I could be a little selfish, I would have liked to extend my stay on Iriomote Island and do a bit more sightseeing by bus. Conversely, I think half the time on Yufu Island would have been sufficient. I appreciated that on Taketomi Island, I could choose my return time. Since my flight was around 7 PM on the last day of my trip, I wanted to make the most of the half day and made a reservation two days prior. It happened to be a day of high tide, so we were able to take a route on the Nakama River cruise that usually cannot be accessed due to low water levels, allowing us to see mangroves that can only be found there. However, the water level was so high that the roots, which are a characteristic of mangroves, were almost submerged. I feel that experiencing the jungle-like atmosphere of the mangroves would be better during low tide. We sat on the right side of the boat, but since the boat traveled upstream along the left bank, I wished we had sat on the left side. (This also depends on the water level, so it can't be said definitively.)
On Yubu Island, we had 90 minutes of free time, including lunch. It takes less than an hour to walk around the entire island, so the time was sufficient. Since the return trip goes via Taketomi Island, if you have extra time, I recommend getting off at Taketomi Island to explore by rental bicycle or ox cart. You can ride an ox cart on Yubu Island, so personally, I think it's best to cycle around Kondoi Beach and Kaiji Beach.
Next time, I want to stay on Iriomote Island and enjoy more activities on the island.
旅行最終日が19時頃の飛行機だったので半日を有効活用したいと思い、二日前に予約を取りました。ちょうど大潮の日の満潮時だったので仲間川のクルーズでは普段水位が足りなくて通ることができないコースを通ることができ、そこでしか見られないマングローブを見ることができました。ただ、水位が高過ぎてマングローブの特徴である根っ子はほぼ水没していました。マングローブのジャングルらしさを味わうなら干潮時の方がいいような気がします。私達はボート右側に座ったのですが、ボートは左岸に沿って川を遡ったので左側に座れば良かったと思いました。（これも水位によって航行ルートが変わるので一概には言えませんが）
由布島では昼食を含めて90分の自由時間がありました。島全体は1時間もかからずに一周できるので時間は充分です。帰りは竹富島経由なので時間に余裕があるなら竹富島で降りて、レンタサイクルや牛車で島を観光することをお勧めします。由布島で牛車に乗れるので、個人的にはレンタサイクルでコンドイ浜やカイジ浜を回るのが良いかと。
次回は西表島に宿泊してもっと島内のアクティビティを楽しみたいです。

I left my luggage at the hotel and joined the tour. First, we were able to explore the mangroves by boat and take our time with photos (the guide was also very attentive).
