I participated in early November. I was worried about the ship's rocking due to the weather and waves, but it turned out to be fine with just a brief light rain and some wave motion.

While riding the water buffalo cart, I enjoyed a relaxed time feeling the wind and listening to the sound of the sanshin, and I felt like I had truly arrived on a remote island. I'm glad I joined this tour. Above all, the water buffalo's eyes reflected a gentle personality, and sometimes when it turned its head, its expression was adorable.

As for what to bring, sun protection, a hat, and a towel are essential, along with water. There were people who lost their hats while on the water buffalo cart, so having something with a strap or a hat clip from a 100 yen store would be helpful. Since it might rain, it's good to have rain gear on hand.

You can take photos with the water buffalo and have them printed in card size, but once you have them in hand, you might end up purchasing larger sizes. It's also better to have some cash on you for buying cold drinks from vending machines. Overall, I highly recommend this course. The weather is important, though.

天候と波による船の揺れが心配でしたが、短時間の小雨と波揺れで
何と無事でした。
水牛車に乗っている時、ゆったりした時間を風を感じられて三線の音楽を
聞いていると離島に来たな～と　このツアーに参加してよかったです。
何より、水牛の目が性格の優しさをあらわしていて、牛車に乗っていると
時に振り向いた目、表情がかわいかったです。

持ち物としては、日焼け対策、帽子・タオルなど、そして水
ボート、マングローブ林の観光、水牛車で帽子を飛ばしてしまう人が
いましたので、ひもが付いたものか１００均で帽子クリップがあると。
雨が降ることもあり、雨具は手元に。

水牛と写真を撮り、カードサイズの写真をプリントしてもらえますが、
手にすると、ついつい大きなサイズの写真を購入することになります。
自販機で冷たい飲み物を買うのと、現金を少し手元に持っていた方が良い。
コース全体でのお勧め度は、高いです。あとは、天候が大事です。

The weather was unfortunately rainy from the start, and I thought I would need rain gear all day. However, I participated in the tour and traveled by boat and bus between Iriomote Island and Taketomi Island. Surprisingly, I managed to get through the day without using my rain gear much at all. If the weather had been better, I could have enjoyed it even more.

The mangrove tour in Iriomote Island was very good because the guide explained everything clearly. The local staff's explanation on Yubu Island regarding the water buffalo cart was also great. The glass-bottom boat experience in Taketomi Island was a valuable experience. We enjoyed the bento box as well. I thought the price was a bit high, but my wife was very satisfied.

My first island-hopping experience was very enjoyable!

The mangrove tour, the bus sightseeing on Iriomote Island, and the guides for each water buffalo made sure their explanations didn’t overlap, allowing me to gain new information each time. I had a very meaningful time.

On Taketomi Island, I chose the water buffalo plan (including photo shooting) from 15:00 to 15:45, and I could also add a rental bicycle until the bus transfer for the last boat at 16:30. For those who want to see a lot in a short time, I recommend two options, while for those who want to take it slow, one option might be better. Personally, I felt that an extra hour on Taketomi Island would have been nice.

That said, we were blessed with good weather, and I was able to visit all the main tourist spots. The high-level service spirit of the staff at various locations made it a lot of fun. The COVID-19 measures were stricter compared to my home area (the main island), which made me feel safe. I would like to participate in a different tour next time! ^ ^

竹富島では水牛プラン(写真撮影込み)を選択(15-15:45)、最終の船行きのバス送迎(16:30)まではレンタルサイクルも追加可能でした。
短時間で沢山回りたい方はオプション2つ、ゆっくりしたい方は1つがおすすめかなと思います。個人的に竹富島はあと1時間あれば良かったなぁと思います。

とはいえ天気にも恵まれ、主な観光地はすべて回ることができ、所々のスタッフさんのハイレベルなサービス精神で大変楽しむことができました。コロナ対策も私の住む地域(本島)に比べて厳しく、安心できました。次回はまた違ったツアーに参加したいです^ ^

This meant we couldn't see the water buffalo pulling the cart from the front, and we could only take pictures of the back of the water buffalo pulling our cart. It would have been great if we could have switched the order of the water buffalo carts for both trips; it's a shame.

I was informed that lunch could be taken at any time while we were on the island (as long as we made it back in time for the return water buffalo cart), but in reality, the schedule was set to have lunch first upon arriving at Yufu Island. Not knowing this, I was about to explore Yufu Island when I was called by name and told, "Lunch is first. Please don't be late." I felt very uncomfortable, as I thought I hadn't been informed about this. I'm not sure if there was a lack of communication among the staff or if it was due to insufficient explanation, but I believe this should not be left ambiguous.

Which island should I visit? Where is interesting? I had so many questions that I decided to sign up for a tour. The tour around the islands was very fulfilling, with introductions to sights while riding a water buffalo cart and singing with a sanshin.

If I had to mention a downside, each itinerary was packed tightly, making it feel a bit rushed, and it wasn't a leisurely sightseeing experience. (If possible, I would have preferred more free exploration time on Taketomi Island instead of Yubu Island.)

However, I was able to feel the charm of the islands and the relaxed flow of time, which was very nice. Next, I want to visit each island one by one.

I'm so happy that I was able to ride a water buffalo cart and fulfill my dream!! Since I have a one-year-old child, I was unsure whether to go on my own considering the time, but I'm glad I chose the tour! First of all, we could get on right away without waiting for tickets, so the timing was smooth, which was the best part. The buffalo was super cute!!

After arriving at Iriomote Island from Ishigaki Island, we had a restroom break, and then we boarded the mangrove cruise. As a family, we were lined up behind solo travelers and two adults. The people in front had scattered themselves in the window seats, and when the staff asked us to sit separately, I was honestly taken aback.

Our family was forced to sit apart, and my child became sad and started to cry, making it very difficult to enjoy the mangroves.

This tour consistently operated on a first-come, first-served basis, and it was impressive to see two single women rushing to line up ahead of everyone else. It's frustrating to be shown such human behavior while on vacation. I thought the seating arrangement was a chance for the tour company to showcase their skills.

石垣島→西表島へ到着後にトイレ休憩があって、その後マングローブ遊覧船に乗るのですが、家族連れの私達は、お一人様や大人二人の方の後に並んでいました。前の方達がまばらに窓側の席を陣取っておられ、その光景を見た店員さんから、別々に座ってくださいと言われた時には正直呆れてしまいました。

家族がバラバラに離れて座らされて、子どもは悲しくて泣き出し、とてもマングローブを楽しむ気分にはなれませんでした。

こちらのツアーでは一貫して、早いもの勝ちで進行されていて、独身女性２人組の方は、我先にと並んでいたのが印象的でした。
旅行に来てまで人間臭いものを見せられるのはうんざりです。席配置に関しては、ツアー会社の腕の見せ所なのかなと思いました。

The ferry was stable and didn't sway much. The weather was cloudy with occasional rain, but even on New Year's Eve, it was over 15°C, so a coat is essential, but it was manageable. However, the water buffalo cart to Yubujima crossed in strong winds, which was a bit chilly.

This is actually my second time, but unlike before, the boat ride on the river in Iriomote Island is now just a round trip without landing, which is a bit boring. Other than that, the water buffalo carts on Yubujima and Taketomi Island have a different atmosphere and are quite nice.

その他は由布島と竹富島も水牛車に乗りますが、雰囲気は変わって、いい感じです。

敢えて言うなら、昼食は沖縄そばがあってもいいと思うのと、竹富島での自由時間がちょっと短いなと言うのが感想です。

I think this is a great tour that allows you to efficiently visit the highlights of Ishigaki Island. Since I could choose my own return boat time, after touring the village with the water buffaloes, I was able to rent a bicycle from the neighboring building and go to the beach and some nearby places. I recommend bringing a raincoat as it seems to rain a lot during this season. Even when it rained along the way, I had no problem riding the bicycle thanks to the raincoat. I would like to visit again on a sunny day.
