We participated as a family of three. It was our first time trying SUP. Even I, who can't swim, and my 6-year-old daughter found it very easy and fun to do while sitting down! However, the next day, my shoulders were sore from the muscle strain, haha. There was a two-hour break, but there weren't many places to explore... We had lunch and just waited for the time to pass. I went on my first trip to Ishigaki Island for a 1-night, 2-day stay. The main purpose of the trip was to do stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) at the stunning spot of Kabira Bay and to spend the day actively until my flight home, so I decided to join this one-day course.

On the morning of the trip, the weather was nice and sunny, but due to strong winds, SUP at Kabira Bay was canceled. Instead, there was a suggestion to do SUP in the mangroves, which I accepted. I usually do SUP in the ocean back home, but paddling through the mangroves while the guide explained about Ishigaki Island and the mangroves felt like a jungle cruise, allowing me to paddle leisurely and enjoyably.

For lunch, I chose a hamburger place recommended by the staff that used Ishigaki beef. I was able to lightly dry off my wet body and enter the restaurant as is, and the hamburger was hearty and very delicious.

In the afternoon, we went snorkeling at a natural beach that opened up after passing through lush trees. Since it was low tide, we explored a cave, which is a power spot, while walking, and during snorkeling, I was thrilled to see not only the clear water but also clownfish and beautifully colored fish.

Finally, we moved to a waterfall in another location where we did a tidal cleanse. Some participants even dove from the top of the waterfall or jumped like Tarzan using a rope, having a great time.

Among the participants were children around kindergarten age and older individuals, including some foreigners. At the beginning of the tour, everyone seemed a bit nervous, but by the end, we were chatting and the atmosphere became very friendly. Although there were many participants, I think the staff, who were present in several numbers, ensured safety.

Lastly, I stopped by a juice stand and enjoyed a very delicious smoothie.

I had a wonderfully fulfilling time. Since the UV rays in Okinawa are very strong, sun protection and heatstroke prevention are essential. I always participate with a backpack made from a net that contains water, sunscreen (the type that doesn't affect coral), and a small towel.

I would like to participate again to do SUP at Kabira Bay.

お昼はスタッフおススメの石垣牛を使ったハンバーガー店を選びました。濡れてる体の水気を軽く取ってそのまま入店出来、ハンバーガーはボリュームがあり、とっても美味しかったです。
午後からのシュノーケルは鬱蒼と生い茂った木々の中を通り抜けた後に広がる自然ビーチで行いました。干潮だったため、歩きながら途中パワースポットである洞窟に寄って探検をし、シュノーケルでは、海の透明度もさることながら、ニモ(カクレクマノミ)やキレイな色をした魚たちも見れ感激しました。
最後は別の場所にある滝まで移動して潮落としをしながら、参加者に中には、滝の上からダイブしたり、ロープを使って、ターザンのようにジャンプした方もいて楽しんでおられました。
参加者の中には、幼稚園児くらいのお子さんから、年配の方までいらっしゃり、外国の方も一緒で、ツアーの始めこそはみなさん緊張された様子でしたが、最後の方では、色々お話しして和気藹々とした雰囲気になっていました。参加者人数は多かったのですが、スタッフも数名いて安全に配慮されていたと思います。
最後にジューススタンドに寄って飲んだスムージーもとても美味しかったです。
とても充実した時間を過ごす事が出来ました。
沖縄の紫外線はとても強いので、日焼け対策と熱中症対策は必須です。私はいつもネットで出来たリュックの中に水と日焼けどめクリーム(サンゴにも影響しないタイプのもの)と小さいタオルを入れて背負って参加します。
川平湾でSUPするため、また参加したいと思います。

The original schedule was to do SUP at Kabira Bay in the morning and snorkeling in the afternoon, but due to weather conditions, it was changed to snorkeling in the morning and SUP in the mangroves in the afternoon. Although the weather was sunny with blue skies, it seems the change was made because of strong winds. I was a bit disappointed that we ended up with mangroves on consecutive days since we had also booked a canoe trip in the mangroves of Iriomote Island the next day, but in the end, the scale of the mangroves in Ishigaki Island and Iriomote Island was completely different, so I never got bored (the mangroves in Iriomote Island were much more expansive).

The snorkeling spot was truly beautiful, and the Blue Cave was magnificent. There were six participants in the tour, ranging from their 20s to 50s, with two guides. シュノーケリングの海は本当に美しく、青の洞窟も見事なものでした。ツアーは20代〜50代くらいの6名に対しガイドさんが2名でした。初めてのウエットスーツの着替え等も急かされることなく、適宜声をかけてくださったりとても充実したツアーでした。
午後はガイドさんが女性の方に変わりSUPを行いました。午前中ずっと海に入っていたこともあり途中でSUPを漕ぐ体力がなくなってしまった私に、帰路は私が漕がなくても良いペアでの乗り方を提案してくださりとても助かりました。
スタッフの皆さんの気遣いも素晴らしく、丸1日で石垣島の美しい海を満喫できるオススメのツアーです！

This was my first snorkeling trip and also I don't swim. So after telling them about this they have been very helpful throughout from the moment I arrived at the shop till the moment we finished snorkeling. After fitting me with appropriate swim gear and clear instructions about how to breathe, we left in their boat to the snorkeling spot. Since I was a bit nervous they asked me to relax and breathe calmly. This helped me gain some confidence. After we entered the snorkeling spot, they made us practice some basic breathing exercises through the snorkel and once I felt confident they held me and took me to all the spots. With each passing minute I felt more and more confident. The underwater world is amazing with beautiful fish (including the Nemo). Before the beginning of the trip, I was very fearful about the whole thing but once I did snorkeling with this team, I felt like time just flew by. It was a fantastic experience for me and I would totally recommend Tom Sawyer for any snorkeling/diving trips.

Due to strong winds on the day, we couldn't go to Kabira Bay and instead did stand-up paddleboarding in the mangrove forest. There were many guides, and I was pleased with their thorough guidance and sincere efforts. Since we had a rental car, there was a lot of flexibility regarding that as well. The guide mentioned that the mangrove forest is recommended because it seems to be more engaging than Kabira Bay.

In the afternoon, we headed to the Blue Cave. The Blue Cave seems to depend on the weather and tide, and unfortunately, it was cloudy during our visit. 滝についても簡単な内容でしたが、気持ちよかったです。

I participated on March 25. The weather was cloudy with occasional sunshine, followed by heavy rain, which was not ideal, but I had an amazing time regardless (^ ^). Both the SUP and snorkeling were great, but the highlight was the hospitality of the staff. They kept the conversation lively during the trip.

Additionally, they sent us photos via LINE on the same day, and there were as many as 55 pictures! It's hard to take photos of ourselves in the ocean, but thanks to them, we could fully enjoy our time. Thank you to all the staff!

I really enjoyed the long distance SUP! It was just the right amount of difficulty and fun. The Blue Cave was beautiful, and I was glad to take lots of photos. We couldn't go snorkeling due to the weather, but we were able to see clownfish and other marine life! I didn't have high expectations, but playing in the waterfall turned out to be surprisingly fun. The waterfall pool itself was very beautiful, and it felt like a natural shower after the ocean! There was also a Tarzan rope, which made it feel like a great deal! I was able to play hard all day, and the beer afterward was delicious! I want to go again!

We participated with a rental car as a couple. We were blessed with good weather and had a very fulfilling day. In the morning, we did stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) on the southern side of Kabira Bay. There was some wind, and the waves were a bit high. My core strength is weak, so I struggled to stand and paddle, falling into the sea several times, but my wife quickly stood up and enjoyed it. The course involved turning around a rock floating about 300 meters offshore.

After lunch, we went snorkeling around the Blue Cave in the afternoon. It was my first experience, and swimming while breathing through my mouth was a bit tough, but I was able to see beautiful corals and tropical fish. There were also sea cucumbers and sea snakes. The two young staff members were very kind and attentive, interacting with about ten tour guests at a comfortable distance, and they showed consideration for us, a couple in our sixties, throughout the tour. They also took photos for us as a service, and since I requested to send them via a cumbersome free email on the computer, it took a few days, but they sent many photos.

初めての体験で、口で息をしながらの遊泳は少々辛かったのですが、サンゴや熱帯魚を見ることができ、綺麗でした。ナマコやウミヘビもいました。
スタッフの若いお兄さん二人はとても親切丁寧で、適度な距離感で１０名前後のツアー客に接し、私たち６０過ぎの夫婦にも随所に気配りをしてくれました。
サービスでの写真も撮っていただき、面倒なパソコンフリーメールでの送信をお願いしたので少し日にちを要しましたが、沢山送っていただきました。
機会があればまた参加したいと思えるツアーでした。

ちなみに、昼食のフリータイム１時間半は景勝地の川平湾展望台でした。
天気が良くとても綺麗でした。
ツアー終了後の着替え場所の提供がなかったので、ホテル送迎での参加が良いかもしれません。

シュノーケリングで消化不良だった息子も、何回も滝へジャンプでき、満足した様子でした。
シュノーケリングは、海が穏やかな時に、またチャレンジしたいです。

I participated in an activity on March 17.

Since I live overseas, I mentioned that I didn't have a phone, and they were able to coordinate the meeting place and other details via email the day before. Transportation was, of course, free.

I met up with other participants near the snorkeling site, and there were a total of 13 of us.

It was about 20 degrees and a bit chilly, but wearing a wetsuit made it manageable. However, many people mentioned it was cold, so there might be individual differences.

Snorkeling was amazing! There were so many fish. Although the sea is said to be clearer in summer, I personally think this season is the best because there are fewer people.

After snorkeling, we enjoyed a natural shower at a waterfall and played in the plunge pool. Compared to the sea, the water was cold, but once you got in, it wasn't too bad.

After playing in the plunge pool, we took off our wetsuits and finished snorkeling, then headed to Kabira Bay for the next canoe activity.

We arrived at Kabira Bay at 1 PM, and the canoeing started at 2 PM. There weren't many dining options at Kabira Bay, but that can't be helped. There was an incredibly delicious soft serve ice cream nearby.

We started canoeing at a place called Ura Kabira Bay. It felt like we were right next to Kabira Bay, but the water was still beautiful. Here, the focus was more on enjoying canoeing and stand-up paddleboarding rather than looking at the sea. We had about an hour of semi-free time to paddle around. Since opportunities to canoe are rare, it was a great experience.

We finished around 3:30 PM, and they drove us back, arriving in the city center by 4:30 PM. We made it just in time for our reservation at Hitoshi Main Store at 5 PM, so it was perfect.

I was very satisfied to experience two activities in one day that are hard to do without the right equipment.

One point to be careful about is that when you arrive at the snorkeling site, you'll change into your wetsuit. If you leave your clothes and bags on the car seat, they might get wet from the seawater when moving from the sea to the waterfall, so it's better to put them in a large plastic bag or, if there's space in the trunk, keep them there.

滝壺遊びがが終わったらスウェットスーツを脱いでそこでシュノーケリングは終了、次のカヌーに参加するために川平湾に向かいます。

13時に川平湾に着いて、14時からカヌー開始。川平湾は食べるところの選択肢が少なかったですが、これは仕方ないですね。近くにやたらおいしいソフトクリームがありました。

裏川平湾というところでカヌーを開始。所謂川平湾の脇みたいな感じのところですが、相変わらず水は綺麗です。こちらは海を見るというよりはカヌーやSAP自体を楽しむイメージです。1時間程度半自由行動で漕ぎまくりです。なかなかカヌーを漕ぐ機会はないので、いい経験になりました。

15:30頃に終わり、車で送ってもらって16:30には中心部につきました。17時から予約していたひとし本店にも間に合ったので万々歳です。

装備がないとなかなか経験しにくいアクティビティを一日二件も経験出来てとても満足です。

気を付けた方が良い点は、シュノーケリングの場所に着いた際にスウェットスーツに着替えるのですが、着替えやカバンなどを車のシートの上に置いておくと海から滝に車移動する際に身体についた海水で濡れてしまう可能性があるので、予め大きめのビニール袋に入れておくなりトランクに余裕があればそこに入れておくなりしたほうがいいです。


全体的に満足しました。スタッフの人もフレンドリーでまた機会があれば参加したいです。ありがとうございました。
