The mangrove cruise in Iriomote Island allowed me to experience the great outdoors. At the beach during low tide, many crabs appeared. On Yubu Island, I was able to meet a lot of water buffalo. You can even interact with tiny newborn water buffalo that you can't see in Taketomi.

由布島では植物園内でお弁当を食べ、残りの時間30分程度の自由観光がありました。お弁当は好き嫌いが別れると思いますが、郷土料理的なおかずで、悪くはないと思います(口コミを見て余り期待していなかったからかもしれませんが)。
竹富島では水牛車+バス観光を選びました。由布島でも水牛車にのりましたが、また違った良さがあります。竹富島の民家の中をシーサーの説明や家の作り等説明をしてもらいながら15分程度回りました。
各島々のことが少し分かったので、また石垣島に来た時には自分達で離島へのプランニングができそうです。
