I visited Ishigaki Island for the first time from February 16 (Sunday) to February 19 (Wednesday). To my surprise, it was extremely cold throughout the entire period. 説明クルーの方も三線の方も、やりにくかっただろうなと思います。
ただ、港に帰る途中で、雲のわずかな切れ目から、数個の星が見られたのが救いでした。
石垣島はとても素敵な島でしたので、またリベンジしたいと思います！

I participated in February.

Due to the large number of people, it was difficult to secure a place to sit.
Also, depending on where you sit, it might be challenging to view the stars.

ガイドさんの解説も丁寧で良かったです。
ただし上を見すぎるとかなり首が痛くなるので注意です！

人数が多かったこともあり、座る場所の確保に困りました。
また座る場所によっては星を眺めるのが難しいところもありそうでした。

少し船が進んでから、星の説明があり、レザーポイントで指しながらだったので、分かりやすかったです。
ただ波や船の音で、ところどころ聞こえないこともあった。

途中、三線の生演奏を聴ける時間もありましたが、船のエンジン音で演奏者の解説や音楽が聞こえにくい場面もあったことが残念でした(時間の関係上、移動しないといけないのはやむを得ないと思いますが...)

今回は比較的に星がたくさん見れたので、全体的に満足でした。

また、クルーズ前日に、当日の注意点など細かに教えてもらったり、車の送迎をしていただいたりと、全体的にとても丁寧な対応だったのが良かったです。

I had never seen the Milky Way, so I signed up, but the city lights were incredibly bright, like in a big city, so I didn't think I would be able to see many stars. Even in complete darkness, it's hard to see, and with the city being this bright, I wondered if it would be visible at all. It was originally cloudy, so I should have canceled.

I was really looking forward to the stars, but unfortunately, a typhoon was approaching, which made me anxious.

The day before, a female staff member called to confirm the meeting time, and I asked if it was still okay with the typhoon approaching. She reassured me, saying, "Even though a typhoon is approaching, it's in Naha, so Ishigaki is fine." I felt relieved as the day arrived.

As the evening approached, the wind started to pick up, and although it wasn't raining, there were some clouds, making me worry about whether we would be able to see the stars. When it was time to gather, I went to the store, and everything went smoothly for departure. As amateurs, we couldn't see anything at the port, but I hoped we would be able to see the stars once we set sail.

However, after moving for a while, we found that there were many Japan Coast Guard boats due to the approaching typhoon, and since we hadn't gone far from the port, the island's lights were still visible, and we could only see about three stars. The sky looked no different from what we could see from the island, and anyone with experience would know that you wouldn't be able to see stars just by going out to sea.

I was looking forward to seeing how many stars would be visible in the perfect night sky, and the day finally arrived. The weather was good with very few clouds, but the full moon was so bright that I couldn't see as many stars as I had imagined. However, it was definitely more beautiful than what I usually see at home, and the staff member explained everything very thoroughly, which was great. They used something like a pointer to indicate the stars, but it was a bit hard to see. Even so, it was a satisfying experience overall! Thank you for a wonderful time!

The weather was clear, and I thought it would be a perfect night for stargazing, but the bright full moon made it difficult to see the stars...!

The boat was not too big, and since there were seats on the first and second floors, I chose a seat on the second floor. After departing, we stopped offshore, and the guide began his narration. I was able to hear many interesting stories about constellations, the islands, and some fun trivia. In the second half of the cruise, there was a live performance of the sanshin, and I enjoyed a romantic and peaceful time with the sound of the waves and the starry sky.

Although it was a short time, it was a satisfying cruise without any boredom. The second-floor seats felt a bit chilly, so I recommend bringing a light jacket even in summer.

Also, since the boat was moving, it might be difficult to take photos with a slow shutter speed. Of course, nothing came out well on my smartphone... haha.

The price felt a bit high for the duration, but the night cruise with hotel pickup from the city center is recommended since it's hard to do on your own! By the way, my hotel was in Kawahira, so there was no pickup for me. Tears.

星座のお話、島のお話、ちょっとした豆知識など、面白い話をたくさん聞くことができました。クルーズの後半は三線の生演奏があり、波の音と星空とロマンチックで穏やかな時間を過ごすことができました。

短い時間でしたが、退屈することもなく満足なクルーズでした。二階席は風が少し冷たく感じるので、夏でも薄手の上着を持っていくことをお勧めします。

また、船が動くのでシャッタースピードを落とした撮影は難しいかも。もちろんスマホにも何も映りませんでした…笑

時間の割にお値段は高く感じますが、市街地ホテル送迎ありのナイトクルーズは自力では難しいのでおススメです！
ちなみに、私のホテルは川平の方でしたので送迎はありませんでした。涙

It was a clear night with few clouds, perfect for a cruise, but sadly, the bright moon made it impossible to see the Milky Way or small stars. However, the staff explained the constellations we could observe, including first-magnitude stars, and shared Greek myths related to them, which was very satisfying. The Orion beer enjoyed on board was fantastic. I would love to try this again! I recommend checking the weather and moon information before you go.

I was lucky to participate on a clear night. We went about 10 minutes offshore from the port, stopped the boat, and observed the stars. We could see stars just above the horizon, including the Southern Cross. The staff explained the constellations, which was very informative. One disappointing aspect was that the tour day was cloudy, and we couldn't see as many stars as we had hoped. Weather is something beyond our control, so that's understandable. ドリンクもワンドリンクと聞いてたんですが飲み放題で気持ちいい夜のクルーズができました！
曇だった為星は残念ながらパラパラとしか見えませんでしたがその少しの星にも案内の人が丁寧に教えてくれて、見えてない星も本当は晴れてたら･･･と楽しくお話して頂きました！
曇で星があまり見えない日でもこれだけ楽しめたので晴れていたら本当にお値段以上の体験ができたと思います！またリベンジしたいと思います♪

However, I imagined we would go to a place where we could see fewer city lights, so I felt like there wasn't much point in getting on the boat. Since they used a laser to explain the stars, I wish they had a bit more knowledge to share. Personally, I think enjoying a quiet night is more romantic, so instead of playing Western music, it would be better to enjoy the relaxing sounds of Okinawan music or complete silence. I plan to visit Ishigaki during the Milky Way season again.
