I went to Ishigaki Island to enjoy the blue sea and starry sky, but unfortunately, it was cloudy and rainy for all four days. I was looking forward to snorkeling, and although we made it to the location, it was canceled. It was disappointing, but I appreciated that they had prepared well for us to enter the sea, and I gained more trust in them for making the decision to cancel without hesitation for safety reasons. I wanted to enjoy the nature of Ishigaki Island, so I signed up for SUP and snorkeling. Unfortunately, the weather didn't turn out to be the clear skies I had hoped for, but thanks to our guide and everyone else in the same team, I had a very enjoyable and wonderful day.

During the morning SUP experience, we had a very cheerful guide, and my wife, daughter, and the other participants were all smiles. SUP surrounded by the mangroves and banyan trees in the great outdoors was fantastic.

In the afternoon, we went snorkeling. Although it was cloudy, the underwater scenery was more beautiful than I had imagined, and the guide was very thorough and kind in his explanations, allowing us to fully enjoy the waters of Ishigaki. Additionally, the guide shared recommendations for delicious places to eat, which was very helpful.

石垣島の自然を楽しみたかったので、SUPとシュノーケリングにエントリーしました。
天候は、残念ながら期待していた快晴とまではならなかったのですが、ガイドさんや、同じチームで参加された皆さんのお陰で、とても楽しく素敵な1日を過ごすことができました。
午前中のSUP体験ではとてもオモシロ陽気なガイドさんがついてくれて、妻も娘も他の参加者もずっと笑顔でした。マングローブやガジュマルの木に囲まれた大自然の中でのSUPは最高でした。
午後からはシュノーケリング。天気はくもりだったのですが、海の中は想像以上に美しく、ガイドさんもとても丁寧で親切に説明してくれるので、石垣の海を満喫する事ができました。
また、ガイドさんは美味しいお店など石垣の楽しみかたも教えてくれて参考になりました。

We enjoyed a day of snorkeling at the northern reef of Taketomi Island, landing on the Phantom Island, then returning to Ishigaki Island for a free shower and a break. After lunch, we did SUP at Kabira Bay.

Everywhere had beautiful emerald green waters with high transparency, truly embodying the essence of a southern island! The snorkeling was especially great! I thought I would like to enjoy it for a longer time next time. The SUP at the quiet Kabira Bay was also refreshing. I think the guides were kind, making it a great tour.

When I asked about the probability of encountering coconut crabs during the trip, the response was somewhat low, but in the end, we encountered coconut crabs multiple times, and I was able to see almost everything I wanted, including land hermit crabs and scorpions. I participated during a rainy day in mid-March. The weather forecast the day before had issued a strong wind and wave warning, but I was able to join without any issues.

In the morning, I challenged myself with mangrove stand-up paddleboarding (SUP). I was worried about the wind, but the mangrove forest acted as a windbreak, allowing me to enjoy the unique scenery of the tropics with minimal impact. I didn't feel much cold while moving my body; in fact, I felt that a bit of chill made it even more enjoyable.

In the afternoon, we were supposed to go snorkeling, but the originally booked location was canceled due to bad weather, and we participated at a different spot. They called the day before to ask if I wanted to cancel or join at another location. Although it was drizzling and windy at times, once I put on the wetsuit they provided and entered the sea, I quickly got used to the initial coldness and thereafter enjoyed the colorful tropical fish and coral reefs without feeling cold.

There were also participants who couldn't swim, but they were able to enjoy themselves by holding onto the float that the guide was pulling. The guides were very clear with their instructions and provided information about Ishigaki Island during our travels, which made me feel safe and allowed me to enjoy the experience.

If I have the opportunity to visit again, I would definitely want to participate once more, and I highly recommend it to anyone considering joining.

3月中旬の雨天時の参加でした。
前日の天気予報では強風波浪注意報が出ていましたが無事に参加出来ました。
　午前中はマングローブSUPに挑戦し、風が心配でしたがマングローブ林が防風林となってほとんど影響を受けずに南国特有の景色を楽しむことが出来ました。身体を動かすため寒さもあまり感じず、むしろ寒いぐらいの方が楽しめるように感じました。
　午後はシュノーケリングでしたが、本来予約していた場所が荒天のため中止となり、別の場所での参加となりました。前日に電話連絡があり、キャンセルか別の場所での参加かを聞いてくれました。時折振りつける小雨と風の中での参加となりましたが、準備いただいたウェットスーツを着て海に入ると最初の冷たさも直ぐに慣れ、以降は寒さも感じずカラフルな熱帯魚と
サンゴ礁を堪能できました。
　泳げない方も参加されて居ましたが、ガイドの引っ張るフロートに掴まって皆と同じように楽しんでおられました。
　ガイドの皆さんも大きな声で注意事項もわかりやすく、移動中もアクティビティ以外の石垣島情報まで丁寧に教えてくださり、安心して楽しむことが出来ました。
　もし次回来島することがあれば必ずまた参加したいと思いますし、検討中の方は是非参加することをお勧めします。

Due to bad weather, we could only do stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) instead of snorkeling, but I was happy to be able to do at least one activity! It was my first time doing SUP, and the guidance was so thorough that I didn't have any trouble. The explanations about each spot during the SUP were very interesting, and we talked throughout the tour about recommended sightseeing spots in Ishigaki and good places to eat, which made it very enjoyable.

Although it was a tour that only covered the first half, the weather can change quickly in that area, so that couldn't be helped. The mangrove forest felt even more like a hidden gem, and since it's rare to do activities in a river as an adult, it was a valuable experience. I think I will request another tour when I come back to Ishigaki! Thank you!

The starry sky was magnificent, and the guide was amazing. The moment the lights were turned off all at once, the starry sky became a lifelong memory. The Milky Way and shooting stars were incredible. I felt like a child again seeing creatures like the coconut crab and fireflies that I usually can't see. I also learned a lot from the guide about the names of the creatures and delicious local foods in Ishigaki. I was most moved by the young man who is working hard after moving here. I was able to paddle through the mangrove river for the first time on a stand-up paddleboard (SUP)! The accommodation was near the island terminal, and they picked me up. On the way to the river, the guide shared stories about the weather in Ishigaki Island, the history of the town, and local agricultural products. I also learned about the mangroves during the nature guide session on the river. I fell off the board once while paddling, but I had a great time! This time, I participated in stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) at Kabira Bay and snorkeling at the Blue Cave. The SUP in the clear waters of Kabira Bay was incredibly refreshing. The instructor was very attentive, making it enjoyable even for beginners!

Although the wind picked up at one point, the guide helped pull us along, so even those without much stamina can participate with peace of mind. The snorkeling was also fantastic; I was very satisfied to see beautiful coral reefs and fish! I was especially moved to see a clownfish up close; it was so cute!

Both activities allowed us to take many beautiful photos, so I was able to capture these memories. Thank you very much for this experience!

I joined to see the coconut crab. I thought it would depend on luck, but I was able to see four of them. How lucky! The excitement of walking through the jungle at night, combined with the guide's excellent guidance and the starry sky, made for an amazing experience. On the bus to and from the location, the guide shared recommendations for shops, so we were fortunate to participate on the first day. This time, I attended with my wife, but I also want to take our children next time.

Almost everyone was trying stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) and snorkeling for the first time! The instructors were very thorough, so I was able to enjoy it to the fullest without any worries, even as a beginner! I participated because I wanted to see various creatures and also observe the starry sky on Ishigaki Island for the first time. The starry sky was incredibly beautiful, and lying on the sandy beach to watch it was the best! The main focus was searching for coconut crabs, and I encountered four of them, including a rare baby coconut crab! The kids also had a great time, so it was wonderful. Thank you for the lovely memories.

初めての石垣島で、色々な生き物が見たいと思ったのと星空も観察したいと思い参加しました。
とにかく星空が綺麗で砂浜に寝転んで観察しましたが最高でした！
ヤシガニ探しメインでしたが、4匹逢え、また珍しいというヤシガニの赤ちゃんにも遭遇しました！
子供達もとても楽しめたのでよかったです。素敵な思い出をありがとうございました。

We had the pleasure of having Sebastian as our snorkeling tour guide, and he truly made the experience unforgettable. His friendly and accommodating nature put us at ease right away. He spoke great English and shared a wealth of knowledge about the island, even offering us fantastic recommendations for local dining spots.

Taro was our guide for the stand-up paddleboarding tour, and he was equally wonderful. Although we were informed in advance that he didn't speak English, we managed to communicate quite well with my limited Japanese and he also made a genuine effort to engage with us in the little English he knew. Taro's warm demeanor and friendly personality shone through, and he kept us entertained with some light-hearted jokes along the way. If you have the chance to be guided by either of these amazing individuals, you can rest assured that you'll be in great hands!

From the meeting point at the remote island terminal, it takes about 40 minutes north to observe a sky full of stars along the coast. After that, you can stroll through the forest and limestone caves, looking for insects, animals, and plants. You can enjoy tracking with a guide while listening to explanations about the coconut crabs and bats of Ishigaki Island. However, the explanations about the stars may be somewhat lacking, so if you want to fully enjoy the night sky, I recommend joining a different tour.
