During our trip from Onna Village to the airport, our only destination was American Village, and we left everything else up to the driver. We had interesting experiences everywhere we went. Even during the car ride, the driver explained the places we passed and entertained us with quizzes, making it a fulfilling time for our family of five without any boredom.
Although our sightseeing the day before was quite limited, the driver on that day was a humorous guide, which was a pleasant surprise compared to the quiet driver we had previously.
We even talked as a family about wanting to request that same driver the next time we visit Okinawa. We considered renting a car ourselves, but choosing a sightseeing taxi this time was definitely the right decision.

A mother-daughter trip to Okinawa for the first time.
Initially, my husband was supposed to join us, but he had to cancel due to work commitments.
I lack confidence in driving, so I decided to cancel the rental car I had booked and opted for a charter taxi through VELTRA for our transportation in Okinawa.

I visited after six years. Since it was a time-constrained trip, I decided against renting a car and it was the right choice to ask for help here. The roads have changed since the last time, and it was crowded due to spring break, but I was taken smoothly to all the places I wanted to go as planned. The distance was just right, and the car was comfortable to spend time in. At the Churaumi Aquarium, they guided us to the entrance and even took photos for us. On Kouri Island, they accompanied us to Heart Rock and pointed out spots we wouldn't have noticed on our own!
We had almost no plan, but they made various suggestions, and we were very satisfied! They even gave us souvenirs on the way back, making it a wonderful trip. We would definitely like to request their services again.

We had a total of six people guided in one vehicle for an 8-hour course. We visited the Churaumi Aquarium, Kishimoto Shokudo for Okinawa soba, Manzamo & Okashi Goten, and Naha Kokusai Dori. The driver's driving was very careful, and after the meal, everyone fell into a deep sleep, quickly recharging our energy. We were able to visit almost all the places we had envisioned in our schedule, making it a wonderful memory.

I had requested a few places in advance and asked to decide the rest on the day. The driver was polite and answered questions, engaging in small talk, but as others have mentioned, he wasn't particularly knowledgeable or took photos for us.
It felt more like a shuttle service than a sightseeing taxi, with a basic "We've arrived, please take your time" approach. However, when I expressed that I wanted to go to a specific place, he considered the order and we arrived at the airport almost on time.
That said, I had an amazing experience with a sightseeing taxi in Ishigaki Island a few days prior, so I felt a bit underwhelmed.

I had a great time hearing various stories! Since the cherry blossoms are currently in bloom, we made an unscheduled stop to see them, and the driver slowed down the taxi so I could take photos of the cherry blossoms and the scenery (in an area with little traffic). It was a wonderful service.

We had a wonderful sightseeing experience visiting the Churaumi Aquarium, Kouri Ohashi, and Nakijin Castle Ruins for cherry blossom viewing, as well as Manzamo. Since it was a three-generation trip with my mother and children, we usually explore Okinawa by rental car, but this time we used a sightseeing taxi.
