I had a fulfilling day on a tour visiting points that are difficult to reach without a car! The initial meeting point was a bit tricky (especially since they didn't come to call us to the specified location), and the headcount was a bit off... There were some thrills with the unclear notifications about time changes, but I think the bus guide did a great job. Still, I felt like this might be typical of Okinawa.

My first solo trip to Okinawa. I considered renting a car, but I wanted to enjoy the scenery from the window, so I joined this tour. About half of the participants were from overseas.

At the main Churaumi Art Museum, there was plenty of time for viewing, dining, and shopping, which was different from the hectic image I had of bus tours. Since I'm not particularly interested in shopping, I wouldn't have stopped at American Village if I had rented a car, but I had a relaxing time watching the sunset over the ocean in Chatan. 最後に、スマホで撮影したい方には、防水で浮くタイプのケース＋ストラップ付きがおすすめです。せっかくの景色を手軽に残せますし、両手が使えると安全性も高まります。私のスマホはSONY Xperia ACEⅢでしたが、7～8m深いところに潜っていくカメさんを動画におさめることができました。

【安全】
海のなかでは「ただ浮いている」つもりでも、徐々に流されていることがあります。私は気づかないうちにエンジンの方まで流されてしまい、係員から注意されて慌てて戻った場面もありました。潮の流れに逆らうのは大変なので、周囲の人々と船との距離を意識することがとても大切です。

【最後に】
日常を離れ、魚たちと一体になるこの体験は、心身ともにリフレッシュできる貴重な時間でした。プールでは味わえない、自然へのダイレクトな没入感。そのなかでウミガメと出会えたことは、一生の思い出になりました。迷っておられるかた、まずは挑戦してみては？参加資格には「年齢制限」や「メディカルチェック」があります。

We really enjoyed the tour, went smoothly and very organised. Pick up from hotel was convenient. As a half Japanese individual I was able to understand the tour guide but given the popularity with foreigners, I think it would be helpful to get a paper guide in English of the locations and also a written explanation of the guide’s speeches. Also foreigners don’t buy “omiyage” but might want some rest to get food and drinks so stopping at a place with more food options would be very much appreciated by foreigners.

It was the best experience we had during Okinawa trip.
We were lucky and on the selected day there was only us 2 who was diving. Instructions were very clear and there was no language barrier. We booked 2 dives and it was perfect choice, as during 1st one you can feel nervous but during the 2nd dive it should be much easier. Instructor was leading the way trough the water and it was easy to follow and I felt safe because of it.
We even could see a Turtle underwater! So everything was perfect.
