A great day touring central Osaka on foot/metro from our hotel in Dotonbori town with our guide Kommy who had excellent English and a great knowledge of the Osaka history and items of interest.
Lunch in the Tenjimbashisuji, the 2.6 km long shopping arcade, was the local speciality Okonomi - a lot of fun. Touring Osaka Castle and the Sky Building in a wheelchair has it's challenges in Japan- but all was expertly organised by Kommy - who had us travelling the metro across Osaka to each site with great ease.

I was expecting a sense of openness when I heard about the open deck, but unfortunately, the rain got in the way. Unlike regular buses, it has a cover to protect against the rain, but the air conditioning wasn't great, so it was a bit stuffy. However, I'm glad it didn't get canceled. I got off at Abeno Harukas and took the subway back to Osaka, but I was able to enjoy the view of Midosuji from the bus, which helped me get a sense of the area.

Osaka Castle was very crowded but our guide managed to get our group up the castle without waiting too long in the queue. The best part of this tour was the four course lunch at Granvia hotel restaurant. The river cruise was a good way of seeing the sites along the river banks.We enjoyed this walking tour of Osaka and would recommend it to everyone visiting Osaka.

Since it's cherry blossom season, I was hoping to see the cherry blossoms at night, so I took the night bus, but I could only see a little. I think it's better to take the daytime bus if you want to enjoy the cherry blossoms.

I boarded the Umeda route at 5 PM. The weather was great, and the guide's explanations were clear and very enjoyable. I appreciated the announcements that I could use any available seats and that it was fine to switch seats. There were also blankets, which made the ride comfortable. However, since I was coming from outside the prefecture, I found the boarding area a bit confusing. It would have been clearer if the voucher had mentioned something like "departing from platform number ⭕ at the highway bus terminal." Next time, I would like to try the Namba route as well. I also recommended it to a friend who is planning to visit Osaka next month.

We were all looking forward to this first experience as a family. The ride on the North Route took about an hour, which seemed like just the right amount of sightseeing time for the kids and grandkids. The bus guide's explanations were easy to understand, and I enjoyed looking out the window as my face turned right and left. Although it was just before the cherry blossoms were in full bloom, the cherry trees were still very beautiful. The sightseeing cost was also reasonable at 1,500 yen, which felt like a good deal. Unfortunately, there were a few downsides: the number of passengers was low, there were many traffic signal waits, there were no stops (even a short stop at one location would have made for better memories), and it seemed that the recognition from the outside was lower than expected.

Both the bus and boat routes and timetables were well-planned and convenient. Additionally, I received a two-day subway pass, making it easy to get around. The bus guide was very charming and kind, while the male boat guide was handsome and friendly, which greatly enhanced the travel experience. We were able to explore the Dotonbori River with just the guide and the two of us, making it feel like we were riding in a water taxi in Venice, which was incredibly exciting. I believe the view of the Dotonbori illuminations from the river is exceptional.

You could see a lot of places in just one day and will learn a lot about their culture.The bus arrives on time and it is clean. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and nice! It was a day before new year when we joined the tour and we asked her a lot of questions about Japanese traditions on New Year’s Eve and she was able to answer all the questions and even told us stories about what families do on New Year’s Day.We also joined the cruise and we had so fun seeing the city via the boat. It was raining but our driver made sure that we didn’t get wet by providing us thick jacket and a roof. He leaves and departs on every port on time. He was also able to answer all our questions.

The bus will give you some good ideas what to see in Osaka. Best part is that you are given two days for the ticket. You get the 2nd chance to see and shop if you had missed it on the 1st day.
