My wife was the reason we booked this event, she wanted to experience wearing a Kimono and the tea making ceremony. I was happy to go along but was fairly neutral about the event. We were part of a group of four in the end with two ladies joining us so I was the only man.
Dressing in the Kimono was fun the ladies had brightly coloured ones with designs or flowers mine was unadorned but with all the undergarments and sash. The ladies were tied in intricate bows at the back and looked great.
The tea making ceremony was explained step by step in excellent English by our guide and we all made and drank the unique Matcha tea
My wife loved it all and we have many photos to recall the event. I also had a great time and It completely surpassed my expectations.

I would like to thanks the photograph for the great picture he has taken. This is really a nice experience we both enjoyed. I recommend to buy the calendar, which is really nice and a good souvenir from Japan. You don't have to worry about its delevery, it was quick and efficient, to our hotel in Osaka.

Totally enjoyed the entire experience! Love the unique sakura mochi. The sweetness of the dessert complement well with the bitter taste of the matcha!

The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about Taiko. My mother, sister and I did a class and had a blast. We were all sore a few days later (arms) which was good... it was a very meaningful and beautiful experience. I would highly recommend it!

My husband is a hobby drummer, so of course he wanted to try out the traditional Japanese drumming. He definitely wasn't disappointed. The studio is very nice, with a dressing room to change into workout clothes (because it is a workout!). The staff was very friendly and the teacher spoke very good English. The class was a lot of fun for my husband, he wanted to take home a drum lol, and it was fun for me to watch and film him. The sound of the drums is so beautiful and unlike any other instrument, even western style drums. The way that they are played is truly an art form and very interesting to watch. The teacher showed them the basics of how to play and ran through some basic drumming drills. She showed them the four different places to hit the drum that they would be using for a short musical piece that they then learned to play. After they had learned the short piece, they learned a bit of embellishment. The class was capped off by the drummers putting on traditional drumming kimonos and playing the piece that they learned. I was able to film it and got great video of my husband playing like a traditional Japanese drummer!
After the class was over, the staff treated us to a performance that was truly delightful to watch. Overall, this was a great experience, and if we ever do it again I will certainly join in with my husband.

We were a group of who went to the Taiko LAB in Osaka for a one-hour drumming experience. We had a great time learning to play a song on the drums together! Our teacher was fun and we were able to understand each other nicely. I reccomend this experiene to anyone both young and old. Bring a change of clothes - you will get a bit of a workout!
