The Grandeur of Seoul's Royal Palaces
Delve into the splendor of the Joseon Dynasty and see the walls where the royal families once lived. Step in Seoul's royal palaces and immerse into colorful intricate Korean architecture. Gyeongbokgung Palace and Changdeokgung Palace are two of Seoul's must-sees.
Gyeongbokgung Palace was the first of the royal palaces, and is the most stately. This is also where you can see the Changing of the Guard ceremony everyday except Tuesday!

Changdeokgung Palace was a favorite of the Joseon kings thanks to the beautiful gardens, with the Huwon section being considered one of the most elegant.

Completing the five royal palaces are Chaonggyeonggung, Gyeonghuigung Palace and Deoksugung Palace. Visit some of the palaces in the selection below and harken back a time of empire and kingdoms.
