We had two issues, first issue, we were the last family to do parasailing and they cut short our time in the air <6 minutes, (yes I timed ours, compared to first family) so they did not manage time well even though they advertised 8 mins from start to finish. second issue, photos we bought from them did not open on my computer and when I tried on another computer there were no photos at all, just wasted my money :-(. Next time, I would choose different parasailing vendor for sure.

Ok parasailing experience, not great staff
Reviewed by: Allie, 2021/06/12Our experience was ok..we were greeted by a cranky woman at the desk she mentioned our boat would arrive soon, our reservation was for 11am and we didn't end up boarding the boat until approximately 11:20. The crew on the boat was rude, we brought our gopro to film and it was about to die so we politely asked if we could go next so we could get footage of us in the air..they made a big deal of it and told us no even though the people who were up "next" didnt mind. I will say parasailing experience was a lot of fun! Just beware they ask you if you want to be dipped into the water, the couple before us stated they DID NOT want to be dipped but the crew said to us that they have a "special dip" for people who say no and proceeded to dip them into the water multiple times.

Short ride
Reviewed by: Manuel, 2021/05/12The ride was shorter than what I paid for. I recorded a video from the beginning to the end and it lasted 6-7 minutes while the ride was supposed to be 10 minutes. It was over all really fun.

Great experience
Reviewed by: Everett, 2017/07/18The experience was great. The only negative I have is I was suppose to get my military discount refunded after I showed my ID at the time of check in. I still haven't received anything. I definitely would like my refund. Also the parking where Veltra suggested I parked at Ilikai hotel don't validate for free parking. That was $7.00 an hour for two hours. When I could have parked right next to the event and paid for the tickets at the counter I think next time I'll just get my tickets through the counter.

Interesting experience
Reviewed by: Connie F, 2016/06/29My group consisted of a party of 6 prepaid guests. 4 riders and 2 observers. I was surprised and disappointed when one of the female staff convinced us that one of our observers should not attempt to get into the boat and in fact went out of her way to tell her she should not go. She went back to the car to wait for us and we were all extremely disappointed when we saw that you could step right in and out of the boat. The parasailing experience was fine. Upon our return the driver of the boat announced that we were going to stop and attempt to help another boater who had gotten stuck during low tide. Definitely a nice gesture on his part but when he had all of the males from our boat climb onto the other boat and stand on the high edge for ballast I felt he went a little too far!! Especially considering one was a 14 year old boy...nothing like opening yourself up to a lawsuit if someone had been hurt!! After 3 failed attempts to dislodge the other boat we were finally returned to the dock. I am all for being a good samaratin but in the future I suggest Hawaiian Parasail return their paying customers to the dock and go back on their own time to rescue boaters.

It was just a taste.

We stayed in the air for only 5 minutes. But anyway it was exciting and they are very professional. And they take beautiful pictures, in case someone would like to buy (I did).

Really too short

They put me with 2 other strangers
Reviewed by: Mr. Anonymous, 2009/07/18Before I book this activity I thought as an individual, they will put myself on the "parachute" only, but they weren't, they simply put me with two other strangers together, I don't even know them, I feel so bad. That's why I didn't leave them a penny. The shuttle drivers is a nice guy, I leave him 10 bucks.

parasail
Reviewed by: HawaiiGoer, 2008/07/06It was fun, we were waiting for the climax once we got up there but never got it. There was a young girl and her grandpa and the staff was really good with them. There is a big push for tipping, despite the cost of the activity. We used their transportation and they were reliable.

FAMILY Goddess
Reviewed by: GG, 2008/05/16It was fun, but it was a very windy day! The seas were rough which made our parasailing very interesting! My husband, 6 year old and I flew together. I was squished in the middle and I also felt a bit sea sick. It wasn't as enjoyable as I thought because of the wind, but it was fun! The crew was wonderful!
