I used the service for transportation to a resort in the Playa del Carmen area.

The shuttle service itself was neither particularly good nor bad, but if I had to point out one area for improvement, it would be the coordination between Veltra and the local shuttle company.

Since I was traveling with a 5-month-old infant, I requested a car seat, but it took two weeks to confirm. After spending time trying to follow up, when I arrived on the day, the car seat was, as expected, not arranged. It was too late to say anything, but that back-and-forth was just a waste of time.

I was worried about whether the pickup would go smoothly since it took two and a half hours at immigration, but a woman holding a sign with my name was waiting for me, which was a relief. The guidance to the car and boarding went smoothly, and up to that point, I was very satisfied. However, I was dropped off at the wrong hotel! Since it was a private transfer just for us and I had entered the official hotel name and address during registration, there was no room for doubt. As soon as we arrived, I was at a loss. It took several attempts to get through to the contact number, and when I finally did, I had to explain the situation to the front desk staff at the wrong hotel. They called the car back to take us to the correct hotel, but perhaps due to cultural differences, there was no apology at all. I ended up spending over 1,000 yen on tips for the unrelated hotel staff and phone charges.

I was picked up at Cancun Airport. Since it was a shared ride, there were already two people on board, but the wait time at the airport was about 10 minutes. The outfit I was told to look for was different; I saw a yellow and navy blue uniform with "Expedia" written on it, and the car had the same coloring. When heading towards the exit, you will be approached by taxi solicitors, but just ignore them and head straight to the exit (SALIDA). Once outside, there are many people offering pickup services who will ask which company you booked with. When I mentioned MEXICO TRAVEL SOLUTIONS, they helped me find it. Generally, Mexicans are very friendly (laughs). After that, I boarded without any issues and arrived safely at my hotel. You sign when you get in and when you get out. There were also offers for activities, but I didn't use them. Overall, I was able to use the service without any problems. The peace of mind from paying in advance is reassuring, so I think I will use it again next time.

I had planned for about a 20-minute distance between the airport and the hotel, but the local service provider informed me that due to shared transportation, the pickup would be at least 3 hours prior. Therefore, I needed to adjust my schedule slightly. As long as you take that into consideration, the transportation service is reliable and reasonably priced, and I am satisfied with it.

There were many people waiting outside the airport for pickups, and I looked for the board but couldn't find it. I searched quite a bit based on the T-shirt color, which was supposed to be light green and white, but I couldn't find it. In the end, I was helped by some kind people who took me to where the shuttle was. It was quite confusing! I can only express my gratitude to the kind Mexicans!
