I requested a private transfer from the airport to the hotel zone. As mentioned in the reviews, I believe the waiting time depends on the timing and the traffic conditions in the area. We smoothly made our way from the meeting point (which was easy to find and we met right away) to the area where we would get in the car. The transfer vehicle hadn't arrived at the pick-up area yet, but it came in about 5 minutes.

The driver was friendly and chatted with us a lot. When we arrived at the hotel and I handed him a $1 tip, he reacted with something like, "Oh no, just $1?" and gestured as if to ask for more. When I arrived at Cancun Airport and stepped outside, there were taxi calls and other shuttle companies, but I was able to find my driver right away because they were holding a board with my name on it. However, I had to wait a little for others to share the ride (by the way, I waited about 15 minutes). The shuttle itself was safe, and I arrived at the hotel without any trouble.

Upon arriving at Cancun airport and picking up my luggage, I was completely overwhelmed by the numerous people from various transportation companies outside. I estimated there were probably over 50 companies present. I was also surprised by the many taxi solicitors in the area. After showing my reservation confirmation to a different transportation company, I finally figured things out. They placed a round sticker on my suitcase and directed me to the back parking lot, so I walked to the end of the corridor. There, I found another staff member, and after presenting my reservation ticket, they confirmed my name was on the list and asked if I was going to the InterContinental. Finally, I arrived at the pickup location. Due to the shared ride, I had to wait for about an hour before getting on the shuttle. Since the shuttle stops at various hotels, it takes some time to reach the destination. It's advisable to use the restroom at the airport beforehand due to the waiting time. I gave a tip of one dollar per suitcase. The total time from the arrival of the flight (including immigration, customs, and baggage claim) to reaching the hotel took about four hours, but it was reassuring.

We also had a transfer booked from the hotel to the airport, but I realized the pick-up time was set for 4 hours and 45 minutes before our flight the day before. I contacted customer service and requested to cancel for free, as it significantly exceeded the maximum time (at least as stated by VELTRA) of 4 hours before the flight, ignoring the regulations. However, when I inquired via LINE, they simply insisted it was not possible without providing any reason. After persistently following up, I was told to call a specific customer service phone number. However, after trying for about 30 minutes, I couldn't get through and reluctantly had to give up.

Until now, I have traveled to various countries that are not advanced, such as Serbia, Egypt, Morocco, and Southeast Asia, but I have never experienced such terrible service with a reserved transfer. Considering the waiting time for the bus, the cramped space inside the bus, the poor environment, and the ineffectiveness of customer service, I cannot recommend this to anyone. Especially when going from the hotel to the airport, the hotel bellman can call a taxi for you, and in that case, you can confirm the price with the bellman and head to the airport for an appropriate amount.
