A pickup arrived at the hotel area at 6:50 AM. Those going to Xel-Há and Xcaret were called, and after confirming the reservation, a ticket was wrapped around their wrist. It was noted that an original form of identification was required, but there was no verification (in the end, the identification was not needed at all).

The vehicles for Xel-Há and Xcaret were separate; Xel-Há had a black van, while Xcaret had a bus. I had read reviews mentioning a transfer along the way, but there were no transfers either going or returning. There were no restroom breaks, so those with small children should be cautious. It might be a good idea to eat some bread in the car.

Upon arriving at Xel-Há, we were asked to sign a paper by the staff, and then there was an explanation of the park while looking at a map. At this time, they also informed us of the return time. A number that seemed to be for the return bus was written on the wrist ticket with a pen, but it was faint and nearly faded by the time we returned. Be careful not to rub it off while showering! The explanation was thorough and in simple English, so there’s no need to worry. We passed through the entrance separately from the ticket line. The entrance was designed to go through the souvenir shop.

After scanning the ticket to enter the park, we headed to the restaurant. It was very crowded in the morning, so it might be better to eat after the river float.

We didn’t wait long for the bus to the river float starting point, but many people seemed to be waiting quite a while. Depending on the crowd, it might be better to use a bicycle if you don’t have children with you.

At the river float location, we debated whether to use a snorkel or a float, and we chose the snorkel. There are several points where you can get out onto land before finishing, so I don’t think you need to worry too much. The water clarity isn’t very high.

The water slides, both blue and white, aren’t very fast, so they were fine for children. There were two staff members at the landing point who asked if everything was okay after landing. Before the children slid down, the staff at the starting point communicated via intercom before starting, ensuring safety by coordinating with the staff at the landing point. I thought it might be safer than water slides in the U.S.

On the return trip, many buses were waiting at the bus stop, and the staff checked the wrist numbers to direct us to the correct bus. Instead of a van, we took a large bus that arrived directly at the hotel around 8 PM. Returning late can be tiring, so this timing felt just right.

シェルハに着くと、係の人に紙にサインするように言われ、その後地図を見ながら園内の説明があります。このときに帰りの時間も教えてくれます。帰りの車の番号らしきものを手首のチケットにペンで書かれたのですが、帰りには薄く消えかかっていました。シャワー中にこすらないように注意！説明は丁寧で簡単な英語なので心配なし。チケット売り場の行列とは別にエントランスを通り抜けます。エントランスはお土産店内を通り抜ける方式になっていました。
チケットをかざして園内に入ると、レストランへ。朝はすごい人なので、この後いく川下りが終わってからでいいかもしれません。
川下りのスタート場所に行くバスは、私達はあまり待ちませんでしたが、かなり待っている様子の人がたくさんいました。混雑具合によりますが、子連れじゃなければ自転車のほうが良いかもです。
川下りの場所ではシュノーケルで行くのか浮き輪にするかを迷い、シュノーケルにしました。下り切るまで何箇所も陸地に上がるポイントがあるのであまり悩まなくても良いと思います。透明度はそんなに高くないです。
ウォータースライダーは青と白どちらもそんなにスピードは速くないので、こどもでも大丈夫でした。落下地点には係員が2人いて、着水後大丈夫かどうか聞かれました。こどもが滑る前にもスタート地点のスタッフがインカムで何か話してからスタートしていたので、着水地点のスタッフと連絡をとり、安全性を確保していました。アメリカのウォータースライダーより安心かもしれないと思いました。
帰りはバス乗り場に沢山のバスが待っていて、手首の番号を見たスタッフがバスを教えてくれます。帰りはバンではなく大きなバスで直通で8時くらいにホテルに到着しました。あまり遅い時間に帰るのは疲れるのでこれくらいでちょうどいいかなという感じでした。

I was torn between similar options, but I chose this one because the return time was relatively early and it was all-inclusive, so I didn't have to worry about extra costs on-site. It was slightly farther than the other option, but I was back at the hotel before 8 PM, allowing me to enjoy dinner at the hotel as well. There are paid activities available, but you can have plenty of fun with the free ones too. The cenote snorkeling was particularly mystical and wonderful. The next day, I went to Gran Cenote on a different tour, and while the clarity wasn't as good, for those short on time, this cenote snorkeling alone might be sufficient.

同じようなシカレと迷ったが、比較的帰り時間が早く、オールインクルッシブなので現地でいちいち追銭が掛からないのでこちらにした。
シカレより若干遠いがこちらは20時前にはホテルに帰れたので、ホテルのディナーも楽しめた。
有料アクティビティもあるが、無料のものでも十分楽しめる。
特にセノーテスノーケリングは神秘的で素敵だった。翌日、別ツアーでグランセノーテにも行ったが、確かに透明度は及ばないが、時間のない人はこちらのセノーテスノーケリングだけでも十分かもしれない。

It seems that this is part of a large-scale tour operated by the Xcaret Group. On the outbound journey, there is a pickup at major hotels by a bus from the Xcaret Group, and after gathering at the Xcaret theme park, you switch buses to head to Xel-Há. Only those heading to Tulum remain on the bus, and after a half-day tour of Tulum, you return to Xel-Há.

I enjoyed both Tulum and Xel-Há, but since the meeting time at Xel-Há was around noon and it was a busy season, the lockers were full, making it difficult to change into swimsuits and manage our belongings. Additionally, there was about a one-hour wait for the slides, so I didn't ride them, but I had plenty of fun.

On the way back, I was grateful to be directly dropped off at my hotel from Xel-Há.

帰りはシェルハから自分のホテル前まで直通で送って貰えて助かりました。

I think it was mentioned that there would be an English driver, but I was told at the beginning that they could only speak a little English. Even when they explained things, I couldn't understand what they were saying, and it ended with "Come back at 6 o'clock" when we arrived. Most activities within the facility are paid, and it felt like a waste of a day.

英語ドライバーと記載されてたと思うけど英語少ししかできないと最初に言われ、、。

I can't speak English at all, but due to scheduling, I opted for an English-speaking driver. Although I had some anxiety, I managed to confirm the meeting time and place using broken English and an app! At Shellharbour Marine Park, most of the fun activities required additional fees, but snorkeling and dining in the great outdoors were all free, providing an experience that can't be enjoyed in Japan, so I was very satisfied!

英語は全く話せませんが、日にちの都合上、英語ドライバーにしました。
不安はあったものの、何とか片言の英語やアプリを使い、集合時間と場所だけはしっかり確認して利用できました！

They arrived on time for the meeting, and they clearly communicated the time and place for the return meeting, allowing us to have a fun day without any issues. The guide spoke English and Spanish, but I think it's fine as long as you can understand a little English. Since the area is large and the river cruise is long, I believe a full-day tour is more enjoyable than a half-day one. The all-you-can-drink and all-you-can-eat options were also good. The taste was decent; I don't think it was bad at all. My 7-year-old daughter and I both had a fulfilling day, and we are satisfied! I think this is a great tour to experience after having done a ruins tour.

I was anxious about the English driver, but it was okay because the female guide explained everything slowly. As long as I knew the time and place for the return bus, I could manage. Throughout the day, I ate, drank, and swam. If I got tired, I could take a nap in a hammock. Also, I was happy that I could borrow beach towels as much as I wanted.

It was the best place for all-you-can-eat, all-you-can-drink, and all-you-can-play. There were four restaurants and a bar, and both the food and drinks were delicious. The sea was beautiful, and I had a great time. However, the pickup didn't come. They might have been there, but my name wasn't called, and they left. That's unfortunate. So, I had to transfer buses and go there on my own. Once I arrived, the staff came to assist me and let me in.

食べ放題飲み放題遊び放題の最高の場所でした。レストランも4つあり、バーもありご飯もお酒も美味しかったです。海も綺麗でとっても楽しかったです。ただ、迎えが来ませんでした。来ていたのかもしれませんが、名前も呼ばれず行ってしまいました。残念です。なのでバスを乗り継いで自力でいきました。行けばスタッフがきてくれて入れました。

We were the only Asians among the participants that day. I was a bit worried about the English guide, but after the explanations for everyone were finished, the guide personally came over to us and asked, "Are you okay? Do you have any questions?" which was very kind of them.
Also, inside the park, food and drinks were available for unlimited consumption. Whenever we got tired, we would take a break and eat something. (laughs)
The park wasn't too large, and we were able to see manatees, so we could enjoy it at a leisurely pace, sometimes even snorkeling.

It took about 1.5 to 2 hours to get there from the hotel zone with a transfer.
It felt like we were completely participating in a local tour, and the guide suddenly switched between Spanish and English.
Important information such as meeting times, meeting places, and changing room locations was explained quickly in Spanish and English, so those who are not very proficient in English should join a tour with a Japanese guide.

Food and drinks are all-inclusive, and as long as you don't expect high-end dining, the quality is satisfactory.
The park is quite large, so if you look at a map in advance, you can navigate without wasting time.
The giant slide just goes around and around, so it's not as scary as it looks.
There are quite a few optional tours available, and I think you can spend a meaningful day.
My 8-year-old child was very satisfied even without any optional tours.

オプショナルツアーはかなりたくさんあり、1日有意義に過ごせると思う。
8歳の子供はオプショナルツアーなしでも大満足でした。

I participated in this tour based on a recommendation from a friend who has been to Cancun. We are a couple who loves activities.

In the morning, a bus arrived in front of the hotel, and then we had to transfer to the tour bus at a stop where many buses were parked. There are various buses going to different destinations at that stop, so make sure not to confuse the bus number explained by the guide.

At the Tulum ruins, even though we were on the same bus, the guide separated us into Spanish and English groups. The English was easy to understand, but if you go without any prior knowledge of the civilization, you might find it hard to grasp. After touring around, we had some free time. It was about an hour, which was sufficient. If you want to check out souvenir shops, it might be good to act quickly.

After that, we headed to Xel-Há Park. In the morning, the guide told us that "for some reason, only our couple didn't have a reservation," and he gave us a handwritten reservation form. We took that form to the counter next to the bus stop and got a wristband with a barcode. We fell behind other participants because of this.

At the marine park, there were no Japanese or Asian people at all. Lockers are limited, so you should secure one early. Time flies when you're eating, drinking, and doing activities, so it's important to decide in advance what you want to do at the marine park. I definitely wanted to experience the zip line, so I was able to enjoy it during a less busy time while eating. I went snorkeling, but honestly, it was a bit disappointing as it wasn't very clear. However, all rental items were well-maintained and individually packaged. For those who love activities, the water slide is a must-try here. It was very thrilling, and I wanted to experience it multiple times.

It’s a large and beautiful park that you can't fully explore in one day.

One thing you should prepare: marine shoes are much more comfortable than beach sandals.

私達はアクティビティが大好きな夫婦です。

朝にホテル前にバスが到着、その後、バスが沢山停まっている停留所にて、このツアー行きのバスに乗り換えがあります。その停留所には、様々な方面行きのバスが沢山あるので、ガイドさんに説明されたバスNo.を間違わないように。

トゥルム遺跡では同じバスのメンバーでも、スペイン語組と英語組に別れてガイドさんが説明してくれました。英語も聞き取りやすい英語でしたが、そもそも文明のことを何も知らずに行くとサッパリ分からないかもしれません。一通り回ってすぐに自由時間に。だいたい１時間弱の自由時間でしたが、充分でした。お土産店を見たい方は早め行動が良いかもしれません。

その後、シェルハ海洋公園へ。朝にガイドさんに「私達夫婦のみ何故か予約が取れてない」と言われ、ガイドさんが手書きで予約用紙をくれてました。その予約用紙をバス停留所の横にあるカウンターへ持参して、手首に巻くバーコード付きのブレスレットをGET。他の参加者より出遅れてしまいました。
海洋公園では、日本人含めアジア人が全く居ませんでした。ロッカーは数が限られてるので、早めに確保すべきです。ご飯食べたりお酒飲んだりアクティビティをしているとあっという間なので、この海洋公園で何をしたいか目的をしっかり事前に決めておくこと。私はジップラインは絶対体験したかったので、ご飯時の空いてる時間に楽しむことができました。シュノーケルしましたが正直あまり綺麗ではなかったのが残念。でもレンタル品は全て綺麗に管理されて居て、個包装になっていました。アクティビティ好きな方、ここで体験してほしいは間違いなくウォータースライダー。とても迫力があり、何度も体験したいものでした。
1日で周りきれない大きく、そして綺麗な公園でした。

一つ用意した方が良いもの。ビーチサンダルよりも、マリンシューズがあればとても過ごしやすいです。

We booked a tour for our honeymoon in Cancun. I wasn't very confident in my English, so I was a bit anxious, but there were no particular problems. I was satisfied with the tour as we could efficiently enjoy two places: the ruins and the marine park.

At 7:35, I got a bit anxious because the bus didn't arrive at our hotel for a while, but it came 20 minutes late.

For our honeymoon, we entered as a party of two.

① Tulum Ruins
First, we received a 600ml bottle of water, which was very helpful later on. It was extremely hot. Without water, it could have been quite dangerous. The ruins were relatively large in scale, and the nature around was lush. Iguanas and turtles were casually seen by the roadside, which felt extraordinary.

② Xel-Há Park
The marine park is mostly all-inclusive, except for some parts. Swimming with dolphins, the aerial bike, and jet boats are paid activities, but there’s plenty to enjoy for free. We started with snorkeling. I borrowed fins, goggles, and a snorkel, and the snorkel was hygienic as it was packaged and sterilized for each use. I was amazed by the many fish while snorkeling, but I had to stop quickly due to my stamina issues.
Next, we had lunch. We entered a buffet where Corona beer was prominently advertised. It was a bit unsanitary with flies around, but the ribeye steak was tender and incredibly delicious. I ordered a Corona beer, but the glass was a foreign size.
After that, we tried the giant slide. We waited about 15 minutes, but it was worth it and very thrilling. The water flowing down the slide was seawater, and a lot of it went up my nose. After that, we enjoyed river tubing and zip-lining, but the river had almost no current, and the sunlight was harsh, so I found that a bit lacking. We also went to Explore, which is managed by the same company, but while Xel-Há doesn’t have as many attractions compared to Explore, it was not crowded, and we could fully enjoy the great outdoors.

②シェル・ハ海洋公園
海洋公園は一部を除くオールインクルーシブです。イルカと泳ぐ、空中バイク、ジェット船は有料ですが、無料の範囲内で十分に楽しめます。まずはシュノーケリングをしました。フィンとゴーグルとシュノーケルを借りましたが、シュノーケルは使用の度に殺菌をしているのか、梱包されていたため、衛生的でした。シュノーケリングでは沢山の魚がいて感動しましたが、私の体力の問題ですぐに終了しました。
次に昼食をいただきました。コロナビールが看板で売り出されたバイキングに入りました。不衛生でハエがいましたが、リブアイステーキが柔らかくて凄く美味しかったです。コロナビールを頼みましたが、グラスが外国サイズでした。
次に巨大滑り台をしました。15分程並びましたが、並ぶ価値ありで、非常にスリリングでした。滑り台に流された水は海水で、鼻に海水が大量に入りました。その後、川下り、ジップラインを楽しみましたが、川下りはほぼ流れがなく、日射しが痛かったので私としてはイマイチです。ジップラインは楽しく、その後終了まで何度も楽しみました。
全体を通して、土曜日の利用でしたが混んでおらず、あまり並ばずに楽しめました。経営を同じくするエクスプロールにも行きましたが、シェルハはエクスプロールに比べてアトラクションは及びませんが、混んでおらず、大自然を堪能できました。

I had to transfer buses midway and was delayed by an hour due to traffic, but the guides at every point took great care of us until the end. Even though it was an English guide, it wasn't textbook English, so I think anyone who has heard English from various countries will be fine.

When I said "Ola!", the staff greeted me back with smiles. The park is very large, and with the water slides (there's a height restriction of 3.5 feet), snorkeling, and the optional dolphin ride, the day flew by! Since I was with kids and prioritized their wishes, it seems like it would be more efficient for adults, but one day might not be enough.

The return bus was already waiting 10 minutes early, and you can easily find your bus by saying your name or hotel name. Sunscreen is a must as you will get sunburned! There are life jackets for small children, but they are hard to float in and play with, so I recommend bringing your own jacket.

This is my second visit in four years.

There was a new water slide that you can slide down from a tower. The height restrictions and checks on what you can wear were quite strict, making it pretty thrilling.

While there are some attractions that incur additional fees, you can have plenty of fun without participating in those.

The food and drinks are reasonably priced, so it's best not to have high expectations, but I was satisfied.

There are also tours that package Tulum, but you won't get bored spending the whole day here.

四年振りの二度目の訪問です。

新しく塔から滑り降りるウォータースライダーが出来ていました。身長制限や身に付けるもののチェックが厳しいほどで、結構スリリングでした。

一部追加料金が発生するアトラクションはありますが、そちらに参加せずとも充分に楽しめます。

料理や飲み物は値段相応なので期待はしない方が良いですが、私は満足でした。

トゥルムとパッケージになったツアーもありますが、こちらに一日中居ても飽きませんよ。

I decided to visit Shellharbour Marine Park after seeing its reputation online.

The main attraction is definitely snorkeling. I went to the top, rented snorkeling gear, and set off down the river. Since I had almost no experience with snorkeling, I struggled to enjoy it at first without a floatation device, but as I got used to it, I was able to relax and enjoy watching the fish. There are plenty of fish not in the middle of the river, but in the less crowded areas on both sides!

Additionally, there were spots to jump into the river and play areas along the way, making it a fun experience for both kids and adults.

I also tried the slide. The starting point is quite high, but there are two lines: a steep one and a gentle one. The gentle line was enjoyable even for me, who usually isn't a fan of thrill rides! My husband, who loves thrill rides, tried the steep line and said it was full of excitement.

There were optional activities like swimming with dolphins and rays, along with several other activities, but they were quite pricey. I didn't sign up for any options, but I still had plenty of fun throughout the day!

１番のメインは、やはりシュノーケリングです。
頂上までいって、シュノーケル道具をレンタルしていざ川下り。
シュノーケル自体はほとんど未経験だったため、最初は浮き輪もなくなかなか楽しめませんでしたが、慣れてくると、魚を見る余裕もでてきて、楽しむことができました。
魚は川の中央ではなく、両端の人があまりいない場所にたくさんいますよ♪

また、途中で川への飛び込みスポットや、遊具スポットもあり、子供はもちろん大人も存分に楽しめる川下りでした。


また、スライダーにも挑戦しました。スタート地点はかなり高い場所ですが、急なラインと緩やかなラインの2ラインがあり、緩やかなラインは、普段絶叫系が苦手な私も楽しむことができました！
絶叫系だいすきな旦那は急なラインに挑戦し、最後はスリル満点と言っていました。


オプションで、ミートドルフィンや、エイとの遊泳、その他複数のアクティビティもありましたが、かなり高め。笑
オプションをなにも申し込みませんでしたが、それでも１日中充分楽しむことができました！

We used this for a trip with two women. The distance from the hotel zone in Cancun to Xel-Há Park is not accessible without a car, so the bus transfer was very comfortable! Inside Xel-Há Park, there were paid activities, but for us, who wanted to enjoy the atmosphere of the park while relaxing, the free activities were more than enough to have a great time! Since it was all-inclusive, we didn't have to settle the bill every time we ate at the restaurant, which meant we didn't need to carry valuables, and that was very appealing. The food at the restaurant was also very delicious. We definitely want to use this again!

カンクンのホテルゾーンからシェルハ海洋公園までは車がないと行けない距離なので、バスでの送迎はとても快適でした！

オールインクルージブということで、レストランで食事をした際にいちいち会計をする必要がなかったので、貴重品を持ち歩く必要がなく、その点が魅力的でした。レストランの食事もとてもおいしかったです。

It was a theme park where you could fully enjoy nature. Using a float, I floated along in an atmosphere reminiscent of a jungle and came across a large area with a great view, where I enjoyed snorkeling. However, I couldn't find a spot with as many fish as shown in the promotional images. The water wasn't as clear as in the images either, so I couldn't take good underwater photos. Perhaps the areas with large schools of fish are in paid sections. Although it was advertised as all-inclusive, it was disappointing that there were only about three or four types of free activities available. The restaurants were varied and well-equipped.

I used this during a trip with friends. The sea was incredibly beautiful, and snorkeling was a lot of fun! There were plenty of other activities as well, and the food at the restaurant was delicious! I would love to visit again when I come back to Mexico! It got a bit chilly when the sun went down, but it was helpful that I could borrow a towel. It was all-inclusive, but there were quite a few paid activities, which was a bit disappointing. Since payments were made by credit card, I felt like I couldn't enjoy myself without carrying anything. It would be easier to have everything included in the all-inclusive package!
