A good overview

We had to go to the Gray Line New York Office to exchange the veltra voucher. Unfortunately, it is not possible to exchange it on the buses.
We were able to get an overview of the city during a very busy period, which allowed us to pass through neighbourhoods that we would not have thought of.
Bus stops are a little difficult to find but on the whole we recommend this means of transport.

Este fue nuestro quinto viaje a NY. Sin embargo, es la primera vez que hicimos los tours de Gray Line al Uptown, a Downtown y Nocturno. Realmente fue muy interesante, con guìas muy bien informados y entretenidos. Ampliaron nuestro conocimiento de esta estupenda ciudad.

Muito util para o deslocamento principalmente se for a primeira experiência na cidade pois alem do visual que o onibus aberto possibilita os passageiros ainda contam com as informações seja pelo sistema pré gravado ou pelos guias falando pessoalmente. Isso sem contar com as dicas de lugares e passeios

excellent information provided by the guides. Confusion with whether or not you needed earphones. This was not made clear. The badly scratched covers spoil any potential photo opportunities.

Os fones de ouvido eram de péssima qualidade, poderiam melhorar um pouco.

Também acredito que poderia existir um pacote familiar com desconto.

Great way to see the city. The guides we had were informative and friendly and we never had to wait long at the stops. Each stop had at least one person there to direct and help us. We went early November so be warned the top of the bus can be very cold! Being able to stop for as long as we liked was great. The only drawback was if we wanted to sit downstairs for a while to escape the cold you cant see out of the windows very well because of the advertising on the outside of the bus. For a sightseeing tour I thought this was a bad oversight.

Great way to see New York, a bit cold on the top deck, plus the windows downstairs were shaded so not really an option. There was a long queue to collect tickets at the start which was a negative - should be more staff on duty. We enjoyed being able to move around at our own pace, guides were very good.

Very useful for getting to understand the city and getting one place to the next.
Be prepared to move slowly,be in traffic jams and have some waiting time at each stop. Easy to walk between the stops for Macys and Empire State.

The double decker bus tour of New York provided a great way to see the city. We took the downtown, uptown, and night bus tours and really enjoyed the tours and the tour guide's commentary. The frequency of the buses in the afternoons and evenings, and the number of stops during the routes, was good. The only issue we encountered was related to delays waiting for buses in the morning, most notably in the mid-town area, for which we encountered a ~45 minute delay, rather than 10 to 15 minutes as expected.

Moi qui ne restais pas longtemps à NY, je recommande ce genre de tour pour profiter un maximum du temps disponible.J'ai trouvé ça très bien organisé !

New York is a very, very big city. A hop-on/hop-off tour like this is essential to see the major attractions and orient yourself in the city.

I would reccomend the Double Decker Tour to anyone visiting New York. We went on the downtown loop very early on our first full day in New York. This loop covered most of the major attractions. Taking the tour helped us to find our way around the city. The hop on - hop off elemet of the tour meant we did not use taxis or the subway as the tour buses were available every fifteen minutes. The tour guides were very informative and all staff were very friendly. We also used the tour bus for the holiday lights tour. The only problem we had was the cold sitting ustairs on the open top bus,which was expected in December but it was worth braving the cold for the excellent views of the city. The tour was very reasonably priced, it is best to book in advance as it is considerably more expensive to book when you are there.

Guides should make an effort to better articulate in order to be better understood by foreigners.
Furthermore some of them talk to much.
People in the office are not kindly at all.

A great way to familiarise yourself with New York. Some of the guides are tremendous characters and fill you in on information and places that would pass you by.
