The extensive menu may leave you undecided, but the classic and popular choice is the "gyutan teishoku" (grilled beef tongue set meal). It comes with tail soup and barley rice, and you can choose between a complimentary salad or grated yam. If you plan to use public transportation for sightseeing, the "Loople Sendai" city loop bus is convenient. It passes through the major tourist spots in central Sendai, allowing you to visit the must-see attractions. With a value-for-money one-day pass, you can hop on and off the bus as many times as you like without any stress.

After getting your pass, head to the lively "Sendai Asaichi" for some food. Whether you enjoy fresh fish or indulge in the famous croquettes, you'll be satisfied. Once your stomach is full, visit the beautiful "Zuihoden Mausoleum" with its splendid architecture.

Next, go to the "Sendai Castle Ruins (Aoba Castle Ruins)" where you can enjoy both the scenery and history. It's a perfect spot for a leisurely walk as it is located within a park. For lunch, I recommend "Date no Gyutan Honpo Aoba-jo Ten," located near the Sendai Castle Ruins, where you can enjoy thick and chewy gyutan (grilled beef tongue).

If you're interested in shrines and history, don't miss the power spot "Osaki Hachimangu Shrine." Take your time to relax and pray amidst nature. When you return to Sendai Station by bus, enjoy shopping for souvenirs and gourmet food at the directly connected "Esparu Sendai." With over 100 shops, take your time and visit with ample time.

Sendai Sightseeing 1 Night 2 Days Model Itinerary

You can reach Akiu Onsen in about 30 minutes by taking the rapid Akiu Line bus from Sendai Station.
