- ①You must hold a passport issued by a country other than Japan.
②You must reside outside Japan and are visiting Japan on a temporary visitor visa(*).
Those who satisfy conditions ①and ②above.
*When entering Japan, please receive proof of "temporary visitor" with a stamp or seal on your passport. If you are using an automated gate when entering Japan、please offer to the airport staff and receive a certificate from your passport with a stamp or seal. - Pass price for children (age between 6 and 11) is half of the adult price.
How to determine child's age: the age of the child is as of the date of purchase. - Conditions of use:
1.This pass can be used by only rail pass purchaser.
2.When you use the pass, please always carry your passport with you.
3.The pass cannot be used for JR Kyushu buses,B&S Miyazaki buses,the Cruise Train Seven Stars in Kyushu and the ARU RESSHA(Sweet Train).
4.The pass cannot be used for the Sanyo Shinkansen (between Hakata and Kokura). - 5.Use of Green Cars is subject to an additional fee. Passes do not authorize holder access to the private room/compartment of any Green Car.
6.The pass is only good within the JR Kyushu service area even though there may be some lines in Kyushu operated by other companies.
7.Travel on trains outside of the designated coverage area of your pass is subject to an additional fee/charge.
8.Unavailability of seating due to full occupancy shall not be subject to refunds. - In regard to validity period of JR Kyushu Rail Pass:
The pass must be used on consecutive days. For example: 3 consecutive days validity such as Jan.1, 2, and 3.
You may not use non-consecutive days (interval in-between). - JR Kyushu Rail Passes do not apply to Shinkansen (bullet train) rides between Hakata and Kokura since this portion is a part of the Sanyo Shinkansen operated by the JR West.
