Four of us visited Hokkaido for the first time in April 2024. After spending a few days exploring the vibrant city of Sapporo, we ventured out to Abashiri—a more remote, rural part of the region. Wanting to make the most... more of our time and truly experience the natural beauty of the area, we booked a day-long tour through Veltra.

From start to finish, the experience far exceeded our expectations. Our guide, Taki, was exceptional—knowledgeable, organized, and incredibly attentive to both safety and enjoyment. The day was filled with unforgettable moments, from snowshoeing through serene landscapes to spotting local wildlife. Taki's passion for the area and his thoughtful guidance truly made the tour special.

We cannot recommend this tour—and especially Taki—highly enough. If you're visiting Abashiri and want a meaningful, well-curated adventure, this is absolutely the way to go.

This tour will definitely be a core memory that will never be forgotten. Taki San speaks very good English and is well aware and informed of the history of the Eastern Hokkaido region aside from being super friendly and ... morehospitable. He made sure that I enjoyed every second of it. I am happy that I wont be worried anymore if I ever come back to Eastern Hokkaido as Peacan Kikaku is the answer.

Not had this much fun in a while. Bearing in mind that the session only lasts for 2 hours from pick up to drop off, I felt like I got a full day's worth of fun and excitement out of it.

The activity was professionall... morey organised from start to end, with a friendly and helpful crew. They really knew how to turn fishing into an experience. They were great at explaining what to do and were on hand to help out...getting to you before you even have a chance to say something. For example, when the yarn on the fishing rod got tangled up, I had a new one in my hand before I even knew it.

The tempura feast at the end was the icing on the cake. I can only recommend this activity! Go book it now.

Didn’t expect that It was so fun smelt ice fishing at the frozen lake for the family. V Punctual pick up & drop off. V Friendly & helpful throughout the fishing even though the weather was v cold ! Tent & chairs are alre... moready prepared in advance. Deep fried fish & hot soup are really delicious. Highly recommended for anyone going to Abashiri Hokkaido during winter season.

This tour was great! Although in Japanese, our guide (Mr. Umebayashi) was able to explain many of the things in English. During the active season for bear, you cannot see most of the lakes without going with a guide. The... more tour was at a nice, enjoyable pace and filled with much information that we would not have learned otherwise. On top of that, Mr. Umebayashi drove us back to our hotel at the conclusion of the hotel. 100% recommend!

The Shiretoko national park is a beautiful place and is a must-go place for visitors to Hokkaido.

Our guide was very informative and patient which we really appreciate because of the numerous photo taking opportunitie... mores.

One advice for visitors is that it can get quite cold there even in June. So please be properly dressed. A pair of gloves would be useful if you plan on taking lots of photos.
