I participated in a family trip. Since I usually live a car-centered lifestyle, I ended up wearing boots, which made my knees, back, and hips cry out in pain. I think it's better to join wearing something more familiar, like sneakers.

I don't have a habit of walking in my daily life, but the time allocation was enjoyable and manageable.

It wasn't the season for autumn leaves or snowy scenery, but I was able to fully experience the "atmosphere and chill of the mainland."

Next time, I hope to participate slowly with my spouse.

家族旅行で参加しました。
日頃が車生活のせいもありますが、ブーツで参加してしまったので膝、腰、股関節が悲鳴を上げてしまいました。
やはり、スニーカーなどの履き慣れている物で参加した方が良いと思います。

I made a reservation with Veltra to enjoy sightseeing smoothly with four friends visiting from other prefectures in Kyoto. My friends wanted to see Shimogamo Shrine, Heian Shrine, Sanjusangendo, and Fushimi Inari. Since almost all the locations were around the Higashiyama area, I requested a four-hour course. Initially, we planned to go only to Sanjusangendo, but since we had extra time, we were able to go to Fushimi Inari as well. However, the roads were congested, which reduced our sightseeing time at the location, and it turned into a rushed experience, which was disappointing. I thought it would have been better to change the location and visit Fushimi Inari at our own pace. Our driver, Inoue, holds a Level 2 certification in the Kyoto Test and provided detailed explanations about the history of the temples and shrines, which was very educational even for me as a local. He was also humorous and a very enjoyable driver.

京都に遊びに来る他県の友人4人とスムーズに観光を楽しみたくてベルトラを予約しました。
友人の希望は下鴨神社、平安神宮、三十三間堂、伏見稲荷。ほぼ全て東山周辺だったので4時間コースでお願いしました。当初は三十三間堂までの予定でしたが、時間的に余裕があるとのことで伏見稲荷まで行っていただけました。けれど、道路が混んでいて現地での観光時間が少なくなってしまい駆け足での観光になってしまったのが残念。別の場所に変更して伏見稲荷は自力でゆっくり観光すればよかったと思いました。
ドライバーの井上さんは京都検定二級を持っておられ寺社の歴史など詳しく説明してくださり、地元人の私もとても勉強になりました。ユーモアもあってとても楽しいドライバーさんでした

Due to the long holiday, the tourist spots were bustling with a large number of people. Many participants were foreigners, and the guide spoke in both English and Japanese, which made me feel a bit like I was overseas. It was a tour that covered four locations in one day, so it was understandable, but I felt that there wasn't enough time at each place. The lunch, a Kyoto tofu set meal, had everything except the yudofu served cold, which felt a bit harsh on my chilled body, and I couldn't eat much. Personally, I wished for a bit more time to look at souvenirs, which is why I gave this rating.

連休という事もあり、各観光地は大勢の人でにぎわっていました。参加者も外国の方が多く、ガイドの方も英語と日本語の両方で話されていたので、少しだけ海外に行ったような気分になりました。4ヶ所を1日で巡るツアーでしたので、仕方のないことですが各箇所での時間がどこも足りないような気がしました。昼食の京豆腐御膳は湯豆腐以外の物が冷たかったので、冷えた体には少しきつく感じてしまい、箸が進みませんでした。個人的にはもう少しお土産を見る時間などのゆとりが欲しいと思ったのでこの評価になりました。

I signed up for this to help international students learn about Japanese culture. I was satisfied with visiting the main spots like Fushimi Inari, Kiyomizu Temple, Kinkaku-ji, and Arashiyama. The guide explained everything in both Japanese and English, which made it easy to understand. For lunch, we had tofu dishes, but it would have been nice to have yuba as well.

Considering the price of the tour, we were able to see so much, so I was a bit tired from walking, but it was really great. I think it's a recommended tour even for Japanese people.

I am a 74-year-old senior, and this was my first sightseeing trip to Kyoto with my 18-year-old granddaughter. There were about 20 passengers on the bus, half of whom were Westerners and the other half were Japanese. It was enjoyable to listen to the interactions between the foreign guests and the guide. Among them, there was an elderly foreign woman who was waiting alone for the bus, so I took the plunge and spoke to her in broken English. I participated in the tour on January 2nd. I thought it would be very crowded with people and traffic in Kyoto during the New Year, but surprisingly, it was quite smooth. The tour had many international participants, and I felt there were few Japanese people. We were the only Japanese tourists among a group from South Korea and individual tourists from abroad. The tour guide was from Northern Europe and had been living in Japan for over 20 years. At first, I was worried that I had mistakenly signed up for a tour aimed at overseas tourists, but that wasn't the case; apparently, many Japanese participants join during the autumn foliage season. During the tour, the guide kindly explained the highlights and points of caution in Japanese.

Honestly, I had low expectations for lunch, but it was almost identical to the photos online, and I enjoyed the tofu dishes. It was delicious.

韓国の団体と、個人の海外からの観光客、日本人は私達だけでした。添乗員も在日20年以上の北欧出身のかたで、最初、海外向けのツアーに間違えて申し込んだのかと焦りましたが、そうではなく、紅葉シーズンは日本人も多く参加があったそうです。ツアー中、日本語でも見所や注意点なと丁寧に話してくれました。
昼食は正直期待薄でしたが、ネットの写真とほぼ遜色なく、豆腐料理を堪能しました。美味しかったです。

At Kiyomizu Temple, we had plenty of time to enjoy lunch and explore freely, but at the other temples and shrines, there wasn't much time before the meeting point, and the distance to the bus stop and sightseeing spots might be hard for elderly people (I participated with my mother, who is 76 years old).
The meeting time was 9:05 AM, and we finished at Kyoto Station at 6:30 PM, so it turned out to be longer than I expected, and I was exhausted. Just for reference, I am a 42-year-old person of average build (laughs).
The guide's stories related to the sightseeing spots in English were very enjoyable and educational!

清水寺では昼食時間と自由散策を楽しめる時間が十分にありましたが、その他の寺社は集合時間まであまり時間がなく、バス停車場や観光場所までの距離もあるため、高齢の方にはハードかなと思いました（76歳後期高齢者の母と一緒に参加しました）。
集合が朝9時05分、京都駅での解散が18時30分でしたので、思っていたより長丁場でクタクタになりました。　当方42歳の中肉中背の者です。ご参考までに（笑）
ガイドさんの英語での観光地に因んだお話がとても楽しく勉強になりました！

I participated without lunch and without an entrance fee. Since my husband is not fond of tofu, there weren't many choices. In the end, it was good that we didn't have lunch! If you have some rice balls or bread on the bus, you can enjoy a lot of food while walking around and see various sights. We were able to visit four main tourist spots in Kyoto in one day, which was very worthwhile. The entrance fees were 500 yen and 400 yen, and I was able to buy them smoothly without any crowds.

At the last stop, Arashiyama, I got lost and separated from the group, but since I had mentioned that I would be returning by train, I was able to see the World Heritage temple and had an extra hour to explore, which made me even more satisfied. I highly recommend the tour content.

The guide was fun and kind, but I found the English a bit difficult to understand due to a hurried feeling, so I rated it four stars.

ランチなし、入場料なしで参加しました。主人が豆腐が苦手のため、他にチョイスがなくて。結果はランチなしで良かった‼️バスの中でおにぎりやパンを軽く食べれば、食べ歩きが沢山出来て色々見れるし、京都のメイン観光地4箇所を１日で回れるのでとてもお得でした。
入場料は500円と400円で混まずにすんなり買えました。
最後の嵐山では迷ってはぐれてしまいましたが、電車で帰る事を伝えていたので、世界遺産のお寺も見れたし1時間余分にゆっくりと回れたので、更に満足でした。ツアー内容はお勧めです。

ガイドさんは楽しくて親切な方でしたが、慌てる感じで英語が分かりにくく、星4とさせて頂きました。

We took a private yakatabune (houseboat) ride for the first time with four people. What was great was not only the scenery but also the kindness of the boatman, who spoke to us at just the right distance, neither too close nor too far. He was a wonderful person.

We brought our own bento, but along the way, a shop boat came by, and we purchased some mitarashi dango (sweet rice dumplings). It was such a nice surprise. I plan to recommend this experience to others as well.

The weather was favorable, and it seemed that there weren't too many people, so we were able to enjoy sightseeing smoothly. Kiyomizu-dera, Fushimi Inari Shrine, and Kinkaku-ji in Kyoto were all incredibly beautiful. I especially want to visit Arashiyama again. The only regret was that I didn't have time to drink coffee. The tour leader, Akira, provided clear explanations on the bus, and his service was excellent. There were many foreigners and few Japanese people, so I thought it was impressive that he explained in both English and Japanese. I would like to use this service again next time.

We participated as a family of four! Each location had ample time allocated, and it was a very satisfying tour! The guide took plenty of photos and smoothly led us to the entrance. There was also a clear and detailed explanation of the recommended routes on the map before we got off at each location. I think if we hadn't joined this tour, we would have only been able to visit about two places in a day, so being able to cover all the places we wanted to see in Kyoto for this price was a huge satisfaction. I visited Kinkaku-ji and Fushimi Inari Taisha for the first time. The weather was nice, and I was able to take photos of Kinkaku-ji reflecting on the water. The experience of walking through the torii gates at Fushimi Inari Taisha was also an interesting stroll. Additionally, enjoying lunch with yudofu at Kiyomizu-dera was one of the highlights. At Arashiyama, crossing the Togetsukyo Bridge was enjoyable as there were few people around. The tour guide's English and Japanese announcements were also a fun first experience on the bus.

On December 4th, I participated in the tour led by Taka-san and had a great atmosphere from the moment I checked in. The meeting time and other explanations were easy to understand. Thank you.

It seems we had good timing, as we had sufficient time at all four locations.

We walked quite a bit from the parking lot to each destination. At Arashiyama, it was a brisk 30-minute round trip to the bamboo grove. It’s up to you whether to go to the bamboo grove or not. For those who wanted to go, Taka-san guided everyone, saying it was "far."

The bus from Osaka will take you back to Osaka properly. The drop-off location in Osaka is different from the morning boarding location, so if you're not familiar, it's essential to have a map! Our bus returned almost on time. In total, we walked about 9 kilometers from Osaka Station to our return.

Since there is also a distance from the parking lot to the destination, comfortable walking shoes are a must. Next time I guide friends, I think it would be better to enjoy the area around Togetsukyo Bridge without going to the bamboo grove, as the distance was tough for the elderly.

In the crowded Kyoto, I felt it would be absolutely difficult for us, with nine participants, to visit all four locations in this time on our own.

For my first time in Kyoto, this tour was perfect for friends from overseas who wanted to see all four must-see spots! I would like to use this service again.

集合時間やその他、説明もわかりやすかったです。ありがとう。

私達は、タイミングが良かったようで
4箇所とも充分な滞在時間がありました。

それぞれ駐車場から目的地まで割と歩きます。
最後の嵐山では、竹林まで早歩きで往復30分です。
竹林まで行く行かないは自由です。
希望者はタカさんが「遠いから」と皆を案内して下さいました。

大阪発のバスは、ちゃんと大阪まで送ってくれますよ。
大阪降車の場所が、朝の乗車場所とは違うので
不慣れなら地図を把握！です。私達のバスはほぼ時間通りに帰着しました。
朝の大阪駅から帰着まで合計で約９キロ歩いていました。

駐車場を降りて、目的地まではまた距離もあるので、歩き易い靴が必須ですね。次回友人を案内する時は、高齢者には竹林迄の距離が辛かったので、行かずに渡月橋辺りでゆっくり楽しみます。

大混雑の京都、私達は9人参加で4箇所をこの時間で自分達で
訪るのは絶対に難しい、と感じました。

初京都の絶対4箇所見たい！海外からの友人達に適したツアーでした。
また利用させて頂きたいです。

The meal was mainly hot tofu, but I was disappointed that it was cold and not hot. I heard there wouldn't be a guide, but it was nice that there were explanations in between the English announcements mainly for foreign guests. 食事が湯豆腐メインでしたが、ひえてて熱々でなかったのはがっかりしました。添乗員さんの案内はないということでしたが、外国の人メインの英語案内の合間に説明があったのは、良かったです。

The lunch at Kiyomizu-dera was mainly yudofu, but it was cold, which was disappointing. Although there was a tour guide, there was no explanation provided. However, it was nice that there were Japanese explanations in between the English guidance for foreigners, and the personality of the tour guide was wonderful.

清水寺のランチは、湯豆腐メインでしたが冷えててガッカリしました。添乗員はつくけれど案内なしということでしたが、外国人向けの英語案内の合間に日本語説明があってよかったし、添乗員さんの人柄も素敵でした。
