The bus tour goes by in a flash at each landmark, and today was no different. The price is reasonable, but since we drove from Kanagawa, we could enjoy sightseeing without worrying about parking, which is definitely a plus of the bus tour. If you have the guide in the photo, there's a 120% guarantee you won't go wrong! I hope this is helpful.

We wanted to visit Enryaku-ji, Ohara, and Shimogamo Shrine, so we requested a sightseeing taxi for seven hours. Our driver, Matsui, was knowledgeable and had excellent conversational skills. Most importantly, he was very considerate towards my father, who has difficulty walking. We invited him to join us for lunch, but he said, "Since this is a family trip, I’ll let you enjoy it privately," and mentioned that he had brought his own lunch. While I believe the compatibility with the driver plays a role, I highly recommend Matsui. I think you can enjoy sightseeing that exceeds the price you pay.

In the morning, we gathered near the sightseeing bus stop in Namba at 9 AM. About 70% of the participants were foreigners, while around 30% were Japanese. It was helpful that the guide provided explanations in both English and Japanese about the places we were going to visit.

The great thing about this tour is that it takes you directly to the sightseeing spots in Kyoto by bus. I found it helpful since I had a poor sense of geography. I also thoroughly enjoyed the tofu meal in Kyoto and was very satisfied.

Arashiyama was crowded with inbound tourists, and I was exhausted by the time I got there, but the water was private, so once we passed through the boat traffic upstream, it was very quiet and elegant. Being able to bring in beer and snacks was a plus too!
