The veteran guide's explanations were impressive! I learned a lot about the history of Hōryū-ji and various other things, and I'm really glad I chose a guided tour. The guide also pointed out great spots for taking photos, and I was able to capture some beautiful pictures!

Horyu-ji was inconvenient to access by public transportation, so a half-day guided tour was just right. The group size was not too large, and I was able to enjoy a leisurely and fulfilling sightseeing experience on a weekday morning. This was my first solo trip, but I had fun exploring my favorite spots in the afternoon as well. I recommend the half-day course as it was quite good.
I arrived at Nara Station from Kanagawa and joined the tour right away, but I couldn't find the tour reception location from the information email, so I went to the meeting place first. It wasn't mentioned in the instructions that the reception was just outside the station ticket gate, which was disappointing as I ended up going the wrong way.
法隆寺が公共交通機関では不便な所でしたので、半日でガイド付きが丁度良かったです。
参加人数も多すぎず、平日午前でゆっくり充実した観光ができました。今回初のソロトリでしたが、午後も好きな所だけ回って楽しみました。半日コースもなかなか良いのでお勧めです
神奈川から朝奈良駅に着いて直ぐの参加でしたが、ツアー受付場所が案内メールからは分からなく、先に集合場所に行ってしまいました。受付場所が、駅改札出て直ぐの場所であった事は案内には無かったので、無駄足してしまいその点は残念です。
ツアーの半日は好きな所だけが、可能となります。地元の交通機関を使ったりする事が面白い旅となります。

Hōryū-ji was my first visit to a temple since my elementary school field trip, and I was able to explore efficiently with few other tourists around, which allowed for a calm sightseeing experience. The guide's explanations were also great. It was nice that they provided umbrellas when it started to rain.
法隆寺は小学校の修学旅行以来、他のお寺は初めて行くところでしたが、効率よくまわれ、他の観光客も少なかったので落ち着いて観光できました。ガイドさんの説明もよかったです。途中雨が降ってきた時には傘の貸し出しもよかったです。
Since there are many stairs without handrails and a lot of walking, I recommend wearing comfortable shoes.

It was a bit early for the autumn leaves, but it was great to be able to sightsee without walking too much by taking a taxi. The Jōruri-ji Temple, which we visited on short notice, was quiet and a very nice place. I would like to request the same driver next time.
紅葉には 少し早かったけれど、タクシーで あまり歩かないで 観光できて良かったです。
急遽 変更して連れて行ってもらった浄瑠璃寺は 静かで とても良い所でした。

This year, the autumn leaves were late, and by mid-November, they had just started to show some color. I thought it would be crowded with visitors during the tourist season in Nara, but perhaps because it was a bit far from Nara Station, I was able to visit the temples leisurely and comfortably. The guide's explanations were very enjoyable and impressive. I was able to visit calmly, and I had a happy time meeting many Buddha statues, including the Bodhisattva Hanka Shiwizō at Chūgū-ji. I happened to have the same guide for the second time, and their explanations were clear and excellent! I'm looking forward to the third time. Everywhere we went was wonderful, and it was interesting to hear the monk's stories while looking at the garden of Jiko-in. I was prepared for a lot of walking, but it wasn't that tough.

I used this service for solo travel. In the morning, I did some sightseeing, and in the afternoon, I planned to explore around Nara Park, so the 4.5 hours was just the right amount of time. I started at Hōryū-ji early in the morning while it was still quiet, and I was taken to places like Yakushi-ji and Tōshōdaiji that I wouldn't have visited without the driver’s guidance. I was also shown great photo spots and managed to take some wonderful pictures! I was supposed to be dropped off near Tōdai-ji on the way back, but since it was a weekday and not crowded, I was able to visit Nigatsu-dō, which wasn't part of my original plan, thanks to the extra time. I was really happy about this surprise addition to my sightseeing. The guide, Mr. Maruyama, was experienced and calm, making it a memorable trip to the ancient capital. Thank you for your help!

I used this service for a historical tour of Nara with my daughter. Mr. Yamamoto guided us and flexibly adjusted the course according to our requests. It was sunny and hot at the time of departure, but by the time we arrived at Hōryū-ji, the weather started to look ominous, and by the time we visited Chūgū-ji, it had turned into light rain. However, thanks to this, we experienced a completely uncrowded and luxurious sightseeing trip.

Even though it was a bus tour, we walked 13,000 steps, so I give it 4 stars. The grounds of the places we visited are spacious, and it's not the tour's responsibility. Compared to using public transportation, it was much easier. I recommend participating in comfortable shoes.

I think the visit to Jiko-in was unnecessary. I enjoyed the matcha and sweets, but there were similar sentiments from other participants regarding the content of the discussion. I would have preferred to spend that time exploring Daibutsuden more leisurely.

After we dispersed at Kōfuku-ji, it continued to rain, so I was grateful to receive a bus ticket to Kintetsu Nara Station. Overall, I am satisfied as we were able to efficiently tour the three World Heritage temples while receiving explanations from the guide.

I signed up for a course that includes all the temples I want to visit for my children's history studies. I received a response from Hattori Taxi, and they kindly addressed my questions. The driver was a veteran of the course and taught us about how to appreciate the statues and buildings, as well as recommended delicious places to eat, which was educational for both parents and children! My elderly parent participated, and they were happy to be able to wait in the car due to the extreme heat and mobility issues, as well as experience the route that only taxis can access within the temple grounds. It was truly a luxurious sightseeing tour with great flexibility. There was a detour due to a train accident (which was quickly decided) and some waiting time at a popular restaurant (delicious persimmon leaf sushi). In the end, there were no issues, but since it operates on a reservation system, some may feel anxious about the timing. I deducted just that point, but the whole family felt it was "the best!" Thank you very much.
