It was my first SUP experience after turning 60! I was able to do better than I expected, and it was a lot of fun. During snorkeling, I also had the chance to feed the fish, and it felt like being inside a tropical fish tank. The staff took photos during the experience, which became a wonderful keepsake.
還暦になって初めてのSUP体験！思ったより上手くできて楽しかったです。シュノーケリングでは、餌付け体験もできて、熱帯魚の水槽の中の様でした。体験中、スタッフの方が撮影をしていただき、大変記念に成りました。

We participated as a family of three. In the morning, we went canoeing near the mangroves, and in the afternoon, we went snorkeling. Both were our first experiences, but the guide was friendly and taught us carefully, so we had no problems and enjoyed ourselves. During the transfers and activities, the guide shared a lot of local trivia and recommended delicious places, which was very helpful.
Moreover, the weather was great for both activities, and the water was clear, so we couldn't have asked for more. The snorkeling, in particular, was breathtaking with an abundance of fish and coral that exceeded our expectations.
We didn't bring our smartphones or cameras, but the guide took many photos from angles we couldn't capture ourselves and sent them to us the same day, so there was no need to bring them.
It was very tiring, but it was a fun day overall.
家族三人で参加しました。午前はマングローブ近くでカヌー、午後はシュノーケリングで、どちらも初めてだったのですが、ガイドの方が気さくに丁寧に教えてくださり、何の問題もなく楽しめました。移動中にもアクティビティ中も、現地の豆知識や美味しいお店などたくさん教えてくれ参考になりました。
また、どちらも天気が良く、水もきれいで、言う事無しでした。特にシュノーケリングは、期待以上の魚やサンゴが広がり感動でしたよ。
スマホやカメラを持っていかなかったのですが、ガイドさんが自分たちでは撮れないアングルの写真をたくさん撮ってくれ、即日送ってもらえたので、持っていく必要も無かったです。
とても疲れたけれど、その分楽しい１日でした。

I participated in a mangrove kayak tour and a visit to Yubu Island!
The mangroves were surrounded by trees on both sides, making the waterways narrow, which gave a thrilling sense of adventure and was really enjoyable.
I got stuck in the mangroves a few times, but our guide, Rui, kindly helped me out and provided just the right amount of advice.
The visit to Yubu Island was great because we got to ride water buffalo to the island, which is an experience you don't usually get.
I had a fun day overall. Thank you!

マングローブは左右が木に囲まれて水路が狭く、冒険をしている感じでスリルがあり楽しめました。

Since I didn't rent a car, the shuttle service from the accommodation to the activity points was really helpful. It was also enjoyable to hear various stories along the way. Thank you very much.

The moment the sunrise came up in the quiet space with only the sounds of birds and waves was moving. The instructor also took some photos for us. I wanted to experience snorkeling in the morning when the waves were calm, but it was scheduled for the afternoon. Due to bad weather, we couldn't do snorkeling and SUP at the planned location, but they suggested an alternative spot. As a result, we unexpectedly got to see sea turtles, which made us very happy. The SUP instructor was a really funny guy, so we were never bored. It was a lot of fun.
悪天候で予定のポイントでのシュノーケルとSUPが出来ませんでしたが、別ポイントでの開催を提案して頂きました。結果、予定外にウミガメにも会うこともできとても満足です。SUPのインストラクターのお兄さんがとても面白い方だったので全く退屈しませんでした。とても楽しかったです。

It was my first time snorkeling out at sea on a boat, and I was a bit scared, but wearing a life jacket gave me a sense of security, allowing me to enjoy snorkeling.
Additionally, we had a great time parasailing as a family, and the view of the ocean from above was amazing.
So many fish gathered around, and during feeding, they nibbled at my fingers! It was a fantastic first experience!
船で沖に出て行くシュノーケルは初めてで怖さもあったのですが、ライフジャケットを着てできたので沈まない安心感の中、シュノーケル楽しめました。

I had planned a trip to visit the Blue Cave, but unfortunately, the tour was canceled the day before, and I was considering canceling my plans. However, since I was already there, I decided to participate in the changed sea turtle snorkeling tour! Thanks to our guide, Soma, I had an unexpectedly fun snorkeling experience. Moreover, I got to encounter sea turtles and swam around excitedly! I also had many wonderful photos taken, making it a fantastic memory!

The first thing that caught my eye was the strong mangrove forest with its deeply rooted trees. The countless roots stretching out from the mud looked like living sculptures, and I felt the resilience of nature. As I paddled along the water's surface, branches and leaves spread out on both sides, making it feel like I was rowing through a green tunnel. The breeze was gentle, and every time I looked up at the sky, the bright blue and white clouds were stunning.
The guide was really kind, and their explanations were clear and interesting! They talked about the nature and wildlife of Iriomote Island in a fun way, providing not just beautiful scenery but also plenty of learning opportunities. I felt a sense of security, which allowed me to relax and enjoy canoeing even as a first-timer.
As I glided over the calm water, I was enveloped in a feeling of "time flowing slowly," something I can't experience in my daily life, and I felt truly refreshed. Being healed by the energy of nature and encountering views that can only be seen here was a truly special experience.
The great nature of Iriomote Island was amazing! I want to go again! ^_^
最初に目に飛び込んできたのは、力強く根を張ったマングローブの森。泥の中から無数に伸びる根っこはまるで生きている彫刻みたいで、自然のたくましさを感じました。水面を進んでいくと、両脇から覆いかぶさるように枝葉が広がって、まるで緑のトンネルの中を漕いでいるみたい。風も穏やかで、時々空を見上げると真っ青な空と白い雲が映えて最高でした。

I participated in a SUP and snorkeling session that ended in the morning at the beginning of September, when the weather can be quite changeable. The weather was nice, and during low tide, the sea sparkled, making the coral visible up close. I struggled to keep up with the SUP until I got the hang of it, but since it was early in the morning, there were few people around, and I was able to jump into the sea and enjoy a refreshing time.
I had a hard time finding a turtle while snorkeling and thought I might not see one, but I kept swimming. Thanks to the instructor who didn’t give up searching, I was finally able to meet a turtle leisurely eating at the end.
Since I had arranged for transportation, getting around was easy, and I got to hear interesting stories about island life and was recommended some delicious places to eat. I had some anxiety about being back in the sea after a long time, but from start to finish, Ricky's smile encouraged me, and my family was able to have a great time!
天候が変わりやすい9月頭に午前中で終わるSUPとシュノーケリングに参加しました。天気もよく、干潮で海がキラキラと珊瑚が近い距離に見えました。SUPは慣れるまでついてくのに必死だったけど、朝イチだったので人も少なく、海に飛び込んだり気持ちのいい時間を過ごせました。シュノーケリングはなかなか亀さんが見つからず、見れないかなーと思ってましたが、ひたすら泳ぐ泳ぐ。お姉さんが諦めずに探してくれたおかげで最後にのんびり食事中の亀さんに会うことができました。
今回は送迎をお願いしてたので移動も楽に、車内では島の暮らしや、いろんな面白い話を聞かせてもらったり、美味しいお店も教えてもらえました。久しぶりの海に不安があったけど、最初から最後まで担当のリッキーの笑顔に励まされ家族で楽しむことができました！

It was my first time snorkeling, and the explanations were thorough. Everyone was kind, and it was a really great tour! I got to see beautiful coral reefs, and there was free time, which made it so much fun. The price also felt very reasonable! Highly recommended!

We had a 5-year-old child with us, but since our guide Ko-chan was experienced in handling children, we could trust him completely. It was thoughtful to have a guide who is familiar with kids. Not only did we paddle the kayak, but we also made stops to observe the rocky areas and shallow waters, which provided a nice break. It was wonderful to see Ko-chan adjusting his paddling to match the child's movements, but it's a shame we couldn't capture that moment in a photo.
5歳の子も一緒でしたが、子供の扱いに慣れたこうちゃんがガイドでしたので、安心して任せることができました。子供に慣れているガイドを付けるという心遣いがいいですね。カヤックを漕ぐだけではなく、途中で上陸して岩場や浅瀬の観察も、ちょっとした休憩になってよかったです。子供が漕ぐのにこうちゃんが合わせてオールを動かしてくれる様子がとてもよかったのですが、写真に撮る事が出来なかったのが残念です。
