It was a great cruise where we could also see the sunset. The price was reasonable, but there could have been a bit more meat. I should have upgraded my selection. I was a little surprised by the dessert (laughs).

I visited in August when the effects of the typhoon were still lingering.
The sea was stunningly beautiful. It made me want to jump in, but swimming was prohibited. So, the only way to see the underwater scenery was by glass-bottom boat.
That said, this was actually my third visit to Kabira Bay, but it was my first time riding a glass-bottom boat.
In conclusion, I think it's something you should experience at least once.
Making a reservation in advance can save you some money.

I arrived a bit early, but they were able to adjust the boat schedule for us. On the glass-bottom boat, we were able to slowly see beautifully colored fish and sea turtles. The moment we spotted a sea turtle, there was a cheer from everyone on the boat! The person steering the boat stopped every time a sea turtle was found! I thought we wouldn't see Nemo (the clownfish), but we ended up seeing one at the end! I believe there are certain timings, but we were able to see everything we wanted! I'm really glad we got to see such a beautiful ocean. My 2-year-and-9-month-old son also enjoyed it! The free parking was a great help too!

They were flexible and accommodated us by guiding us to the next available boat even though we arrived earlier than our reservation time. They also provided various information about the Kawahira Bay area. I appreciated that they offered free parking as well. Since we went after checking out of the hotel, we had a carry-on suitcase, but it was a relief that they were able to hold it for us at the reception.
We boarded a three-story boat and went to the second floor to reach our destination. Once we arrived, we went to the first floor to see the fish through the windows. Although the level of the boat's sway and visibility weren't great that day, we were still able to see them properly! On the way back, we enjoyed the scenery from the second and third floors.
It became a wonderful memory!

This was actually my second time experiencing this. When I arrived at Kabira Bay, I was immediately captivated by the beautiful sea. Just seeing this scenery makes me truly feel that it was worth coming here.
After thoroughly enjoying the view, I completed the check-in and finally boarded the boat. Depending on the day and the boat, the number of guests may vary, but those who boarded together are bound by some connection and will become companions to enjoy the cruise until the end.
While admiring the beautiful coastal scenery, the boat soon headed to the coral point. The captain guided us while we admired the beautiful branching corals and round corals. There were many mysterious creatures on the seabed. Various colorful fish, including a type of clownfish, decorated the bottom of the boat.
The boat continued further out, depending on the day and the captain, venturing boldly into the open sea. It felt like we were almost near the open ocean, as the color of the water deepened to a more vibrant blue, revealing the depth below. The mystery increased, and we encountered coral formations that could only be seen while diving, along with larger fish.
Before long, the cruise came to an end, and we returned to the shore, fully satisfied. Finally, I indulged in delicious Blue Seal ice cream at one of the many shops near the check-in area, or enjoyed tasty Yaeyama soba at the park tea house. This was an absolutely recommended glass-bottom boat tour.

たっぷり景色を堪能したら、受付を済ませ、いよいよボートに乗船。
日によって、便によってお客さんの入りもマチマチかと思いますが、一緒に乗ったのは何かの縁、最後までクルーズを楽しむ仲間となります。
美しい岸辺の景色を見ながら、ボートは程なくしてサンゴポイントへ。綺麗なエダサンゴや丸いサンゴをみつつ、船長さんがガイドしてくれます。
海底には不思議な生き物が沢山。クマノミの一種や、それに属するような色々な煌びやかな魚達が、ボートの底面を彩ってくれます。
ボートは更に進み、日によって？船長さんによって？グングン沖に繰り出して行きます。もう、ほとんど外海に近いのか、底面の色は益々青く一変し、深度が伺える沖合に出てきました。
神秘さは更に増して、ダイビングでもしなければ見られないようなサンゴの群生、更にサイズの大きな魚達と巡り会えました。
程なくしてクルーズは終了、大満喫のうちに岸辺に戻り。最後は受付付近に沢山ある売店で、美味しいブルーシールアイスを堪能。若しくは公園茶屋で美味しい八重山そばを食べるのお良いでしょう。

I finally visited Kabira Bay, which I had wanted to see for a long time, and decided to take a glass-bottom boat! I used this service for the first time. Honestly, I didn't have high expectations at first, but once I participated, I was amazed by how beautiful the sea was. It wasn't just fish that were gathered by feeding; I was able to enjoy the natural underwater world. At one point, a huge fish swam right under the boat! It was a coveted giant trevally! I guess it depends on luck as well. I'm glad I got to see it. The clownfish were also adorable. I want to use this service again!

In mid-March, I participated with my family of four (my spouse, a 3-year-old, and a 0-year-old). On the way there, my wife and child got seasick due to the unexpectedly high waves and rocking of the boat, but we were able to refresh both our minds and bodies during our break and beach stroll on Tokashiki Island. The beach was beautiful and felt great.
During the whale watching, with the guidance of our guide and captain, we were able to see whales multiple times! (They mentioned that there were more sightings than usual.) It was an exhilarating moment that made us forget about the seasickness.
I recommend that those who are not good with vehicles or have little experience on small boats take motion sickness medication in advance.

I was worried because the weather hadn't been great until the day before, but we set sail safely. Just as advertised, the catamaran didn't rock too much, and we arrived at the viewing spot without any issues. We encountered a mother and baby whale; we could clearly see the baby whale spouting and the mother whale's impressive dive with her tail fin. It was really wonderful.
