It was my first time visiting an outlying island. Although it was a quick visit, I was satisfied with my experience on the island. I think it was a great opportunity to scout for a future trip where I can take my time on a favorite island. However, I was quite anxious during the bus ride because one of the children in the same tour group kept coughing. I felt anger towards the parents traveling with a child who was coughing so much at this time of year. While it might not bother them if it were their own child, for others, it is nothing but a source of fear.
初めての離島。駆け足ではありましたがその島を堪能できて満足でした。気に入った島に次回はゆっきりでかける為の下見としてとても良いと思います。ただ同じツアー参加者のお子さんがずっと咳をしていてソレが気になってバスの中では不安な気持ちでいっぱいでした。この時期のこんなに咳をする子供を連れて旅をする親御さんに怒りを覚えました。自分の子供なら気にならないかもしれませんが他人にとっては恐怖でしかありません。

The tour to Barasu Island was canceled due to the typhoon (I received a call the day before), but I was refunded the difference.
Two staff members accompanied us, and both were very entertaining, making the experience a lot of fun! They shared various interesting facts about plants and mangroves, making it a very enjoyable tour. They even took the initiative to get under the waterfall, which gave us the courage to do the same! They took a lot of photos (over 100), making it a memorable tour!

Honestly, I signed up for this tour looking forward to the starry sky, but on the day of the tour, it was cloudy and I was disappointed that I could hardly see any stars. However, during the drive, the jungle tour, and the mountain roads to see the night view, the tour guide shared many interesting stories, making it such a fun tour that I almost forgot about not being able to see the stars! This was my first landing on a remote island from Ishigaki Island. I was looking forward to the Phantom Island, but due to the weather, it was canceled, and we had to change our course at the last minute. I was able to efficiently visit places that are difficult to reach without a car. The morning gathering is early, but as a result, we could see the quiet Sefa Utaki. The Churaumi Aquarium was not crowded, but including the show and lunch, it felt a bit rushed in just two and a half hours, so I wished I had a little more time.

Although my parents got a bit seasick on the glass-bottom boat, the kids were sparkling with excitement the whole time. Shima-kun, the water buffalo, was wonderfully lazy! First, we went on a mangrove cruise in Iriomote Island. It was very pleasant to leisurely explore on a sightseeing boat while listening to the guide's explanations. After that, we crossed to Yubu Island by water buffalo cart. The flowers along the road to Manta Beach were very beautiful. The tropical flowers like hibiscus and bougainvillea, along with the butterflies, were impressive. The sea beyond was also breathtaking.
Finally, we visited Taketomi Island. We chose a glass-bottom boat and bus tour. The guide was very kind and taught us how to find star sand at Kaiji Beach, and we toured the village on the island, receiving various explanations in a short amount of time. Although we didn't ride the water buffalo cart, we were able to walk nearby and take photos, which was great. Since the time to see the village was short, I would like to take a leisurely stroll next time. It was a charming and very lovely island. I was extremely satisfied to see so many different landscapes in just one day!
最初に西表島でのマングローブクルーズ。ガイドさんの説明を聞きながらのんびり遊覧船での散策は気持ちが良かったです。そのあと由布島へ水牛車で渡ります。マンタの浜までの道沿いのお花がとても綺麗でした。ハイビスカスやブーゲンビリアなど南国らしいお花、蝶々に感動。その先の海にまた感動でした。
最後に竹富島です。我々はグラスボートとバス観光を選択しました。
ガイドさんがとても良い方で、カイジ浜で星砂の見つけ方を教えて頂いたり、島内の集落を回り、短い時間の中いろいろ説明して頂きました。
水牛車には乗りませんでしたが、歩きながら近くで見て写真も撮る事が出来たので良かったです。
集落を見る時間が短かったので、次はゆっくり散策したいです。風情がありとても素敵な島でした。
１日でこれだけ色んな景色が見れて、大満足です！

It was a highly satisfying tour. I was amazed by the mysterious vitality of the mangroves, overwhelmed by the grandeur and power of the Okinawa's Great Stone Forest, and comforted by the cuteness of the Okinawa rail. I grew even fonder of Okinawa. The tour guide and local guides were friendly and very thorough in explaining the local circumstances, which was very educational. The local specialties I tasted here and there were truly delicious. This is a tour I especially recommend for those who feel they have already visited the major tourist spots in Okinawa.

The night view of Ishigaki Island and the starry sky were very beautiful. Although I couldn't find the coconut crab or the owl, I appreciated the guide who was diligently searching for them. The light of the fireflies at night on Ishigaki Island was quite charming.

Due to the sea conditions preventing the boat from landing on Barasu Island, we changed our plan to canyoning. It turned out to be a great decision!
Diego, who guided us, explained the flora and fauna of Iriomote Island, where nature is valued more than humans, in a very easy-to-understand manner, and his love for Iriomote really came through.
Canyoning → Lunch → SUP → Kura Falls

At the beginning of the tour, I was disappointed because the stars were hidden by clouds and hard to see, but the staff shared stories about the stars and found creatures like coconut crabs, stick insects, and fireflies like hunters. I was excited to see so many creatures for the first time. Since we couldn't see many stars, they took us to a beautiful spot where we could enjoy the night view of Ishigaki Island instead. The staff's service and lively personality added to the experience, making it a very enjoyable and fulfilling tour!
ツアーが始まった当初は、星が雲に隠れてあまり見れずガッカリでしたが、スタッフさんが星にまつわる話しをしてくれたり、ハンターの様にヤシガニやナナフシ、ホタル等見つけてれました。
