This shop is located about a 5-minute walk from Makishi Public Market. My wife and I participated in a shisa-making experience. They were very accommodating with a sudden schedule change, which was a great help.

The shisa-making process is taught carefully through videos, but I was surprised at how much time it actually took to finish. I really felt the dedication involved in making shisa.

Since you can create your own unique shisa, I think it's perfect for making memories. I got a bit carried away and ended up significantly exceeding the planned time. We were scheduled to fly home that day, so we ran out of time to paint them. However, the staff kindly said we could take items worth the cost of the painting (1,100 yen) from the shop's merchandise, so we received a tile for placing the shisa and some glass crafts.

I was told that I could paint them with acrylic paint, so I plan to do that later. I had a very fulfilling time, thank you.

牧志公設市場から５分ほどの商店街内にあるお店。妻と２人でシーサー作り体験に参加しました。当日は急な時間変更にも快く対応してくれて助かりました。
シーサー作りは動画をみながら丁寧に学べますが、作り終わるまでに意外と時間がかかったので驚きました。シーサー作りの地道さを実感できました。
思い思いのシーサーが作れるので、思い出作りには最適だと思います。凝りすぎて予定時間を大幅に超過してしまいました。我々は、その日に飛行機で帰る予定だったので、色付けする時間がなくなってしまいましたが、スタッフさんが本来色付けにかかる費用(1100円)分お店の売り物から持って行って良いと言ってくださったので、シーサーを置く瓦とガラス細工をいただきました。
色はアクリル絵の具で塗ればよいということだったので、また後日塗ろうと思います。
とても充実した時間を過ごせました、ありがとうございました。

On the day, the clouds cleared, and I was moved by the sight of many stars. When I mentioned it was our honeymoon, I received advice on wedding poses. The finished photos were very beautiful. I was staring at samples in a workspace with a wonderful view of the ocean! I thought it would be difficult, but once I started, I became so engrossed that time flew by. I was able to create wonderful memories with my friend, and it was definitely worth it. I want to go again and make a partner!!!

Unfortunately, the weather was gloomy throughout my stay, so I had given up on taking photos. However, I was able to capture a beautiful moment when the strong winds cleared the clouds.

Despite the bad conditions, the photos turned out great, and I am very satisfied.

I was told that stargazing in Miyako Island is better in summer than in winter, so I would like to request another session next time.

I asked for a photo shoot with my son, who loves stars, to create some memories. At first, the sky was unfortunately cloudy, but they helped us find good shooting spots and waited with us until the clouds moved. I visited the DMM Kariyushi Aquarium for the first time. Compared to the famous Churaumi Aquarium, it is smaller in scale, but it uses video and light creatively, making it a very nice experience. There are basically no names or descriptions of the creatures, so it's essential to download the aquarium's app to view the explanations of the living creatures. Although it comes at a cost, there seems to be a guided tour available, and I definitely want to participate in a guided tour next time. Also, it was smooth that after booking through Veltra, the QR code for the voucher was reflected immediately, allowing us to enter without waiting in line at the ticket booth using that QR code! I'll keep the photo to just one to avoid spoilers.

初めてDMMかりゆし水族館へ行きました。
有名な美ら海水族館と比べると規模は小さいですが、映像や光を駆使し、新しいタイプの水族館で、とても素敵な演出でした。
基本的に行き物の名前や説明はほぼないため、水族館のアプリをダウンロードし、生き物の説明を見るスタイルなので、スマホは必須ですね。
有料にはなりますが、ガイドツアーもあるようで、次回は是非ガイド付きツアーにも参加してみたいです。
またベルトラ経由で申し込んでも購入後、すぐバウチャーにQRコードが反映され、現地でチケット売り場に並ぶことなくそのQRコードで入場できるのもスムーズでよかったです！

I had a photo shoot under a perfect starry sky. There were more stars than I had ever seen before, and the photos captured shooting stars as well. I received thoughtful advice, making it a very meaningful experience.

I really wanted to take pictures of the starry sky, so I signed up for the tour by myself. It was nerve-wracking to get to the location in the dark, but the guide warmly welcomed us and played music to help us relax while we took photos. The finished pictures turned out amazing, and it became a wonderful memory.

This is a highly recommended tour that you should definitely try if you're going to Miyako Island. The photographer was friendly and taught us various things, including local information and how to take starry sky photos with an iPhone! The weather was nice, so I thought it would be a great opportunity to take some photos and made a reservation the night before. They responded smoothly. The photographer was kind and listened to our requests. They took photos in the poses we wanted and also suggested poses and angles, which made us feel at ease! The finished photos were really beautiful✨ The shooting location was completely dark, so you need to use a smartphone light to see your feet, but it was the perfect spot to see the stars beautifully!

At first, both of us were nervous, but as we received posing advice from the photographer, we naturally started smiling. The photographer was not only skilled at capturing the shots but also at creating a great atmosphere, allowing us to forget our embarrassment and enjoy the experience like models!

Before the shoot: The parking area where we had our photos taken was a bit complicated to navigate, and since it was for starry sky photography, there was no light at all, so a flashlight is essential when heading to the meeting point.
During the shoot: As mentioned earlier.
After the shoot: The photographer kindly explained how to save the data, allowing us to keep the images in beautiful quality.

They really take wonderful photos, and as mentioned in the instructions, I think wearing light-colored clothing like white is a good idea. The ground can be unstable and dark, so wearing comfortable shoes is advisable, and it might be a good idea to be prepared to change shoes during the shoot if necessary.

最初は2人して緊張していましたが、カメラマンさんにポージングを含めたアドバイスをいただきながら撮影していくうちに自然に笑顔になりました。
撮影はもちろん、気分の乗せ方も大変お上手で途中からは恥ずかしさも忘れてモデルさん気分を味わえました！

撮影前:私たちが撮影していただいたポイントの駐車場は少々入り組んでおり、さらには星空撮影とのことであかりも全くないので待ち合わせ場所に向かう時も懐中電灯は必須です。
撮影中:前述の通りです。
撮影後:データの保存方法も丁寧に教えていただけるので綺麗な画質のまま保存することができました。

本当に素敵なお写真を撮っていただけるので、説明にも記載がありましたが白などの明るめのお洋服がいいと思います。
足元は不安定な場所もあり暗いので、動きやすい靴で行き、場合によっては撮影時に履き替える準備をしておくのもいいかもしれません。

Knowing that the next day would be clear, I made a last-minute reservation the night before the experience. Since it was a sudden decision, I didn't know any good spots to capture the beautiful starry sky, and I didn't have high-performance equipment, so I was really grateful for the help.

I arrived earlier than the meeting time and enjoyed the starry sky before capturing photos with the beautiful scenery. Every time I look at the photos, I can remember that view over and over again. I'm really glad I participated in the tour instead of just watching. Thank you very much!

For those taking a taxi, it seems that it's difficult to catch one at night, so I recommend arranging for your hotel to help you with that in advance, including for your return trip.

翌日が快晴と知って、体験前日の夜に急遽予約させて頂きました。
突然の思いつきだったので、星空を綺麗に撮影できる場所も知りませんでしたし、高性能な機材も持っていなかったので本当に助かりました。
集合時間より早めに到着し星空を満喫してから、美しい星空と一緒に写真に収めて頂けたので、写真を見る度に何度でもあの景色を思い出す事が出来ています。
ただ眺めるだけでなく、ツアーに参加させて頂いて本当に良かったです。ありがとうございました！

タクシーで参加される方は、夜間帯のタクシーは捕まりづらいようなので、余裕を持ってホテルにお願いしておき、帰りの分もその際に手配してもらうことをおすすめします。

In a place so dark that I wouldn't normally go there at night unless on a tour, I got out of the car to find a sky full of stars, seeing a number of stars that I usually can't see. After moving a little, we talked about the stars while enjoying summer-like background music, and we were able to see the Milky Way without any clouds, creating the best memories. There was a surprising incident on the way back when we were attacked by a giant spider, but that too became an unforgettable memory.

ツアーでなければ夜に行くことはないような真っ暗な場所で車から降りるとすでに満天の星空で普段観る事の出来ない数の星を見ることができました。少し移動して夏らしいBGMの中星の話をしつつの撮影で雲もなく天の川まで見ることができて最高の思い出になりました。帰りの車で巨大な蜘蛛に襲われるハプニングはありましたがそれもまた忘れられない思い出です。
