We had a great time with a friendly guide and about six participants, which was just the right size for the experience. We were able to see coconut crabs and hermit crabs! Even if you're not comfortable with animals or insects, you can still enjoy it without having to touch them. If you stay on Iriomote Island, I highly recommend the night tour.
気さくなガイドさん1人に参加者も6名程度？でちょうどよい規模感で楽しめました。
ヤシガニやヤドカリなど見ることができました！動物や虫が苦手でも触ったりすらわけじゃないので楽しめると思います。

I participated in December. I was looking forward to seeing the coconut crabs, so it was disappointing that I couldn't see the stars, but I really enjoyed the night tour since I don't often get the chance to go on one. It was a lot of fun to learn about other creatures and plants, as well as the stories from our guide about Ishigaki Island, even during the car rides!
I'll come back for a rematch during the new moon in summer! I'm glad I was able to rent rubber boots!

We started shooting around 10 PM!
As we made our way to the meeting spot, we felt a bit anxious walking through the dark path (laughs), but when we got out of the car at the beach, the number of stars was unbelievable!!
We didn't have any particular poses or requests, but the photographer, Tenten, provided various suggestions and directions, which we really appreciated! Unfortunately, due to the thick clouds after the typhoon, we couldn't see the starry sky, but we were able to spot many wild creatures. Although I couldn't capture them in photos, I saw an eel, a purple crab, a striped snake, and a long-legged spider. There were some difficult spots where we had to climb, but it reminded me of my childhood and was a lot of fun.

I originally wanted to see the starry sky and was looking for a tour. However, I was drawn in by the "photo of the coconut crab" and signed up for the night tour of the sea and jungle. I was very satisfied with the guide's attentive service, the enjoyable stories, and the chance to see the coconut crab, as well as witnessing the emergence of cicadas. Although I couldn't see the starry sky due to cloudy weather, I was able to enjoy the night tour instead. I highly recommend it.

I gave up on the starry sky and decided to join the night tour, and I was thrilled to encounter many creatures I had never seen before, like coconut crabs and habu snakes! I'm glad I participated, thinking that since I came all the way to Iriomote Island, I shouldn't cancel.
