The starry sky and night tour in Iriomote Island was truly a wonderful experience. The view of the countless stars in the natural setting, away from city lights, was more beautiful than any night sky I have ever seen, making me feel as if I were enveloped by the universe. The guide was very kind and attentive, providing clear explanations about the stars and living creatures, which allowed me to enjoy the experience with peace of mind. I was genuinely moved by the unique nature of Iriomote Island and the warm hospitality. I definitely want to visit again.

西表島の星空とナイトツアーは本当に素晴らしい体験でした。街明かりの少ない自然の中で見上げた満天の星は、これまで見たどの星空よりも美しく、まるで宇宙に包まれているような感覚になりました。ガイドの方もとても優しく丁寧で、星や生き物について分かりやすく説明してくださり、安心して楽しむことができました。西表島ならではの大自然と温かいおもてなしに心から感動しました。またぜひ訪れたいと思います。

I participated in a night tour on Iriomote Island for the first time. The course took us through two locations: the jungle and the seaside, allowing us to experience a completely different side of the island compared to during the day.

Since it was still February and quite cold, it was difficult to encounter the coconut crab and the Iriomote wildcat, but we did come across small scorpions, a rare patterned gecko, and a giant termite mound, among other creatures and subtropical plants that are not often seen.

Seeing an owl perched on the power lines is also unique to Iriomote Island. The night jungle, where we all moved forward with our lights searching for creatures, felt like a special time of exploration. Thank you, guide Macchan!

初めての西表島で、ナイトツアーに参加しました。ジャングルの中と海辺の2か所を巡るコースで、昼間とはまったく違う島の表情を体験。

まだ2月で寒かったのもありヤシガニやイリオモテヤマネコに出会うのは難しかったですが、小さなサソリや珍しい模様のヤモリ、巨大なシロアリの巣など、普段なかなか目にできない生き物や亜熱帯ならではの植物にたくさん出会えました。

電線にとまるフクロウの姿も西表島ならでは。みんなでライトを手に生き物を探しながら進む夜のジャングルは、まるで探検のような特別な時間でした。ガイドのまっちゃんさん、ありがとうございました！

I made my way through a dense area filled with grass that I could never have entered on my own, bending down as I pushed through the jungle. It was a truly valuable experience, feeling like I was on an adventure as I progressed in the pitch darkness, relying on the light from my flashlight. The guide found creatures unique to Iriomote Island, and during my visit, I was able to see scorpions and hermit crabs, which made me very satisfied. (It was a shame that I could only hear the owl's call nearby without seeing it!) The guide was great at storytelling, which made the experience enjoyable throughout. They provided lights and shoes, making it easy to participate, and I highly recommend it!

自力では絶対に入れないような草が生い茂ってる所から、草をかき分けて体を屈めながらジャングルの中へ。真っ暗闇の中でライトの明かりを頼りに進んでいき、本当に冒険しているような貴重な体験でした。ガイドさんが西表島ならではの生き物を見つけて下さり、私の参加回ではサソリやオカヤドカリを見ることが出来て大満足でした。（ふくろうは鳴き声だけが近くで聞こえていて、姿が見られなかったのが残念…！）
ガイドさんはお話上手でずっと楽しめました。
ライトと靴を借していただけるので気軽に参加でき、おすすめです！

The tour was enjoyable, but I can't deny that I was left with a sense of dissatisfaction because my expectations were too high.

Since it wasn't typhoon season, I thought the starry sky would be beautiful. Additionally, based on reviews from other sites up until December, I believed that even in winter, there would be many creatures, and while it might be difficult to see the wildcat, it was almost certain to spot the coconut crab. I wasn't aware that Yaeyama in winter often has cloudy or rainy days, and that coconut crabs hibernate during this season.

On the day of the tour, it rained, and I couldn't see a single star, nor did I encounter any coconut crabs. Although I did come across some creatures, many of them were small and didn't feel particularly rare, which made the experience feel lacking in impact. I understand that weather can affect nature, but if winter increases the likelihood of not achieving expected results, that changes the situation. I wish this had been clearly stated on the website.

However, the guide was attentive to the participants and worked hard to find creatures for us, and the experience of entering a jungle at night in winter was something I wouldn't normally get to do, so it was fun. The creatures I encountered included tropical plants, as well as crabs, frogs, scorpions, and stick insect larvae.

ツアーは楽しかったのですが、期待値が高すぎたために消化不良感が残ったのは否めません。

台風の季節ではなかったため、星空が綺麗だろうと思っていました。また、12月までの他サイトも含めたレビューから、冬でも生き物が多く、ヤマネコは難しいにしてもヤシガニはほぼ確実に見られると考えていました。
冬のやえやまは曇りや雨の日が多いこと、ヤシガニが冬眠することは知りませんでした。
当日も雨で星は1つも見られず、ヤシガニにも出会えませんでした。生き物には出会えたものの、サイズが小さいものが多く希少性を感じさせるものでもなかったため、インパクトに欠けるように感じてしまいました。
自然が相手ですので天候の影響があることはもちろん承知していますが、冬は期待通りの結果が得られない可能性が高まるとなると話が変わってくると思います。このあたりはサイトにも明記してほしかったです。

ただ、ガイドのお姉さんは参加者に気を配りながら一生懸命生き物を探してくれましたし、そもそも冬の夜のジャングルに入る体験がまず味わえないので楽しかったです。出会えた生き物は熱帯らしい植物に加え、カニやカエル、サソリ、ナナフシの幼虫などでした。

Every time I visit Ishigaki Island, I've signed up for a different stargazing tour, but it always got canceled due to bad weather. This time, I booked a tour to see the stars from a boat for the first time.

Before boarding, I was worried because there were clouds and I thought we might not see anything, but as we set sail, the clouds quickly cleared, and we were able to see a sky full of stars. We moved by boat to a dark area near Taketomi Island where there were no lights, and the guide provided a detailed explanation of the stars.

Even if the stars were not visible due to clouds, we could enjoy cruising while listening to the sanshin, which made for a very pleasant experience. The performance was excellent. I highly recommend it. Please note that there are no restrooms on the boat, so I recommend using the restroom before departure. The staff at the shop will also give you a heads-up, so if you go at that time, you can use the restroom just before we set sail, which is reassuring.

石垣島に来る度に別の星空ツアーに申し込んでいましたが、いつも悪天候のため中止になっていました。今回初めて船から星空を見るツアーを申し込みました。
船に乗る前は雲があり見えないかなーと不安なまま出航しましたが、みるみるうちに雲が晴れて満天の星空を見ることができました。竹富島の方まで船で移動して灯りがない真っ暗なところで星空の説明を丁寧にしてくれます。
万が一雲で星が見られなくてもクルージングしながら三線聴くことができてとても心地よい時間でした。とても上手でした。ぜひおすすめです。船にはトイレがありません。出港前にトイレに行くことをお勧めします。お店のスタッフからも説明があるのでそのタイミングで行くと出航前ギリギリにトイレに行けるので安心です。

We gathered in the evening and headed towards the mountains by car. Once we got out, we searched for creatures and plants with a flashlight in hand. It felt just like an expedition. Unfortunately, it was cloudy that day, so we couldn't see the stars, but we were able to fully experience the night on Iriomote Island! We got to see coconut crabs up close and observed many unique creatures and large plants that can only be found on Iriomote Island! Then, since we had a bit of time, we drove around looking out the windows together to search for the Iriomote wildcat. Unfortunately, we didn't find any, but I think the experience of searching together was really fun and valuable. Our instructor, Komachan, had incredible knowledge and casually taught us so much that we never got bored while looking at the creatures and plants. He shared stories about the island's elders and his own experiences. It was a tour that made me want to learn more!

夜に集合して、車で山の方へ向かいました。降りてから、電気を片手に生き物や植物を探しました。まるで探検隊のような雰囲気で探しました。その日はあいにく曇りだったため、星は見えなかったのですが、夜の西表島を存分に感じることができました！ヤシガニを近くで見たり、小さな生物から大きな植物までたくさん西表島にしかないものを見ることができました！それから、少し時間があるということでイリオモテヤマネコを見つけに車を走らせながら外をじっと見てみんなで探しました。残念ながらいなかったのですが、みんなで一生懸命に探すということがすごく楽しくて貴重な経験だったと思います。インストラクターの方のこまちゃんの知識がすごくて、ラフにたくさん教えてくださるため生き物や植物を見てて全然飽きないくらい楽しかったです。島のおじいの話やその方の実体験を話してくださります。もっと知りたい！という気持ちになるツアーでした！

It was cloudy, so we couldn't see the starry sky, but we ventured into the night jungle with our guide. It was truly in the jungle. You can't enter without a guide. We were able to observe sleeping birds up close. It seems that seeing a wildcat is quite rare, but we did find some footprints. The guide explained the creatures and plants, allowing us to observe animals and plants that can't be seen on the main island. There were also bananas growing, and it felt subtropical! We were able to see a coconut crab as well. It's not often that you get to enter a night jungle, so I highly recommend it!

曇りだったので星空は見えませんでしたが、ガイドさんと夜のジャングルに潜入しました。本当に、ジャングルの中です。ガイドさんと一緒でなければ入れないです。鳥が眠っていて近くで観察できました。ヤマネコはなかなか見る事は出来ないらしいですが、足跡を発見できました。ガイドさんが生き物の説明や、植物の説明をしてくださり、本島では見られない生き物や植物を観察できます。バナナもなっていて、亜熱帯でした！！ヤシガニも見る事ができました。中々夜のジャングルに入る事なんてないので、是非オススメです！！

The day I went was unfortunately cloudy, so we couldn't enjoy stargazing... we only had the jungle night tour. However, with the guide and everyone who participated, we searched for creatures and rare plants, and at times we even got to see a coconut crab, which is not often seen this time of year. It was truly a fun time.

There were also participants from overseas, and they provided explanations in English as well. Since participants could share the enjoyment together, I really think everyone, regardless of age or nationality, should definitely go on this tour.

私が行った日は、あいにくの曇りで星空鑑賞ができず…ジャングルナイトツアーのみでした。でも、ガイドさんをはじめ、参加した人達皆で生き物やレアな植物を探し、時には今の時期にはあまり見られないヤシガニを見れたりと、本当に楽しい時間を過ごせました。
海外の方も参加されていましたが、英語でも説明してくださいます。参加者同士で楽しみを共有できるため、老若男女日本海外問わず是非このツアーに皆さん行ってほしいな、と思えるツアーでした。

The weather was bad, and we couldn't see the starry sky. We also couldn't see the coconut crabs. However, the guide worked hard to find them and provided clear explanations, which were very helpful. If I have the opportunity, I would like to participate again.

I made a reservation for the night of New Year's Day 2026. Unfortunately, due to the weather, I couldn't see the starry sky that I was looking forward to, but I was able to explore at night without getting rained on. To my surprise, I got to see the coconut crab, which is quite rare to find on a cold day! I also saw hermit crabs and stick insects that are listed in the Iriomote guidebook, as well as a scorpion's exoskeleton! I was able to see many things I had never seen before, and the sounds of the insects at night and walking along the beach made for a very enjoyable tour. I definitely want to participate again next time to see the starry sky!

あいにくの空模様で楽しみにしていた星空は見られませんでしたが、雨にも降られずナイト探索できました。参加者のみんなが見たかったヤシガニ（寒い日に見つけれるのはかなりレアらしい！！）をまさかの見れました！！西表図鑑に載ってるヤドカリだったりナナフシだったり！蠍の抜け殻！見たことないものをたくさん見れて夜の虫の音や浜辺なども歩いてとても楽しいツアーでした。次は星空も見たいのでまた是非参加します。

Although the cloudy weather prevented us from seeing the starry sky and the coconut crabs, we were able to spot regular hermit crabs and other creatures. Searching for wildlife together with the other participants created a sense of unity. The guide was kind, attentive, and worked hard for us. I wish there were some plans in place for days with bad weather.

曇りで星空は見えずヤシガニも見れないものの普通のヤドカリ等々生き物等々は見れました。
他の参加者さん一緒に生き物を探していると一体感がでます。ガイドさんは親切丁寧で一生懸命頑張ってくれています。

I was already at maximum fatigue from participating in Pipi's tour during the day, but I was grateful that Kokoro-chan and Koma-chan frequently checked on my condition, asking if I could still walk and if I was okay.

It seems that during winter, you don't encounter many creatures, which was a bit disappointing, but I was still happy to find a frog.

The jungle was more intense than I expected, and when I was told right at the start, "Okay, let's go in here," I thought, "Huh? Here?" However, I quickly got used to it, and it was fun searching for creatures with a light in one hand.

日中もpipiさんのツアーに参加していたので疲労MAXでしたが、こころちゃんとこまちゃんのお二人が、まだ歩けますか？大丈夫ですか？と私の状態をこまめに確認しながら進めてくださりありがたかったです。
冬場は生き物にあまり遭遇できないらしく、ちょっと残念ではありましたが、カエルを見つけただけでも嬉しかったです。
思ってたよりガチジャングルで、スタート直後｢じゃあここを入っていきます｣って言われたときは｢え？ここ？｣と思いましたが、すぐに慣れ、ライト片手に生き物を探すのは楽しかったです。

Since we were in a small group, it was great to proceed while carefully observing our surroundings. Perhaps due to the season, the number of animals we encountered was honestly on the lower side, but I was very happy to finally meet the coconut crab, which I had longed to see. On the other hand, during the moments when we were trying to spot animals, there were more guests than instructors, which sometimes made me feel a bit lacking in knowledge. However, the staff maintained a pleasant atmosphere throughout, and their explanations were thorough, making it an overall enjoyable and relaxed night tour.

少人数グループで行動するスタイルだったので、周囲をじっくり観察しながら進めたのが良かったです。季節柄なのか、出会える動物の数は正直少なめでしたが、念願だったヤシガニに会えたのはとても嬉しい体験でした。一方で、動物を見つける場面ではインストラクターよりお客側の方が多く、やや知見不足を感じることもありました。ただ、スタッフの雰囲気は終始よく、説明も丁寧で、全体としては和やかで楽しく参加できるナイトツアーでした。

I had a special experience! It was a wonderful experience that made me think, "This is definitely Ishigaki Island!" The guide was kind and prioritized safety during the tour! If I have the chance again, I would like to try another tour with Honaka.

It's a comfortable tour, but despite being called a cruise, it hardly goes outside of Ishigaki Port. The night view around Ishigaki Port is quite bright, so it might be difficult to see the stars.

The starry sky was beautiful, and I could see the Milky Way and shooting stars! In the jungle, there were coconut crabs, and I got to see everything I wanted. Our guide, Hina, shared fun stories during the car ride to our destination and throughout the tour. She really went out of her way to show us great things, and I enjoyed every moment from start to finish! 😊

一面の星空と、天の川や流れ星も見れてとても綺麗でした！ジャングルではヤシガニもいて、見たかったものが全部見れました。ガイドをしてくれたヒナさんは目的地までの車内やツアー中も楽しいお話をしてくれたり、良いものを見せようととっても工夫してくれて、最初から最後まで楽しめました😊

I was hoping to see the coconut crab, but unfortunately, I didn't get to see one on the day I participated (´-ω-｀). I signed up thinking I would definitely encounter a coconut crab, but it seems that in winter, their activity is low, and the chance of encountering one is about 50%. Before we set off, I was told that there probably wouldn't be any coconut crabs, and I felt a bit scammed. If I had known, I wouldn't have signed up, crying. (The guide was not at fault.)

Instead, I was able to meet some insects and creatures that I had seen on TV, so that was nice! Since coconut crabs are hard to find, the guide worked hard to search through the forest. On the day I participated, it was cloudy, so I couldn't see many stars, but I think on a clear day, they would be quite beautiful from the beach◎. Because it was January and the temperature was low, it felt more like a tour of walking through the jungle rather than encountering a lot of creatures! It seems that when it gets warmer, the animals become more active, so I definitely want to participate again in the summer (*´꒳`*).

ヤシガニには必ず会えると思って申し込みましたが、冬は活動がにぶいらしく遭遇確率は50%程らしいです。
出発する前におそらくヤシガニは居ないと言われ、ちょっと詐欺にあった気分でした。

一月で気温が低かった事もあり、体感的に生き物がたくさんいるというよりはジャングルの中を散歩するツアーという感じでした！

The guide was friendly, and the starry sky was amazing. They took several photos for us, creatively arranging the compositions. I highly recommend this tour.

Our guide was "Macchan," who was very knowledgeable about plants. We were able to hear many interesting stories about plants, which made for an enjoyable experience.

On the other hand, I felt that there was a slight disconnect from the purpose of observing creatures that are unique to the night. There was no explanation about the animals highlighted in the tour, such as the coconut crab, and we didn't get to hear much in-depth information about animals or insects.

Since we are dealing with nature, I don't have any complaints about not encountering certain creatures. I also understand that different guides have different areas of expertise, which can lead to hearing unexpected stories, and I don't deny that. However, since the tour takes place at night, I think it would have been more satisfying if there had been explanations about why we are searching at night and what kinds of animals we can encounter specifically because it is nighttime.

Overall, I believe that participating in the tour and being able to enter the jungle at night was valuable, but the content was plant-focused, and it was hard to understand the "benefits of participating specifically because it is night."

ガイドは"まっちゃん"さんに担当していただきました。

植物に詳しい方で、植物に関する興味深い話をたくさん聞くことができ、楽しい体験ができました。

一方で、夜ならではの生き物観察という趣旨なのだと思いますが、それとは少し乖離があるのかなと思いました。
ヤシガニなど、ツアーの目玉として紹介されている動物についての解説はなく、動物や昆虫に関してはあまり踏み込んだ話が聞けませんでした。

自然相手なので会えなかったことに不満があるわけではありません。
またガイドさんによって、得意分野の違いがあること自体は、想像もしていない話を聞けることになりそれを否定しているわけではありません。
しかし、ツアーが夜に行われるのであるならば、なぜ夜に探すのか、夜だからこそどういう動物に会えるのか、といった説明があれば納得感や満足度はもっと高くなったと思います。

全体として、ツアー参加したことで夜のジャングルに入れたことは価値があったと思いますが、内容は植物中心で、「夜だからこそ参加するメリット」が分かりにくかったという感想です。

We participated as a family of five, with a 3rd-grade boy and twin 1st-grade boys. At first, the kids said it was dark and scary, but after a while, they became engrossed in searching for various creatures like insects, fish, and coconut crabs. It was a pity that we couldn't find a coconut crab, but it seems they had a lot of fun. The weather was nice all day, so we could see the moon and stars beautifully. The stories and experiences shared by the tour guide were very interesting! I would love to participate again if the opportunity arises. Thank you very much.

子供達も最初は暗くて怖いと言っていましたが途中からは夢中で虫、魚、ヤシガニ色々な生き物を探していました。

Entering the jungle was something I would never have experienced if I hadn't joined the tour, so it became a very good experience. The children were also interested in various things, and the next day they talked about what they had learned, which was really fun to see. The way the guide explained things was also interesting.

I booked this tour on Ishigaki Island for the first time. In December, I was worried about the rain and strong winds on the day of the tour, but surprisingly, the jungle shielded us from the rain and wind due to the vegetation. The guides were very cheerful, which eased my worries, and I was able to enjoy the experience with peace of mind. I was satisfied to see rare creatures, regardless of the rain!

初めての石垣島でこちらのツアーを予約しました。12月であいにくの雨と強風で当日不安でしたが、ジャングルの中は草木の影響か意外と雨風があたらず、ガイドさんたちがとても明るくて不安な気持ちもなくなり安心して楽しめました。雨でも関係なく珍しい生き物達が見れて満足でした！

I went on a jungle tour! At first, I was a little scared, but it gradually became fun. There were many large trees on both sides of the path, and I could hear the sounds of birds and insects from somewhere. The jungle, where I didn't know what would come out, felt like a little adventure, and I was really excited.

ジャングルツアーに行ってきました！最初はちょっとこわかったけど、だんだん楽しくなってきました。道の両側に大きな木がたくさんあって、どこからか鳥の声や虫の音が聞こえてきました。何が出てくるか分からないジャングルはちょっと冒険みたいで、とってもワクワクしました。

We participated as a family, including our 5-year-old child, at the end of the year. Unfortunately, the weather was not great, and we couldn't see the stars, but the guide was very kind to the children, and we had a wonderful experience. Our child was happy and said that even though we didn't see the coconut crab, it was fun to see various other creatures.

年末に5歳子供を含めて家族で参加しました。
あいにくの天気で星空は見えませんでしたが、ガイドのお兄さんも子供に優しく接してくれ、最高の体験ができました。

The night tour that the kids were looking forward to was also exciting and very enjoyable for us adults! On the day of the tour, we got to see coconut crabs and take photos, which became a great memory. Above all, our guide, Hina, had a very clear and fun way of talking! If we have the chance to come back to Ishigaki Island, we would love to use this service again.

I went to Miyako Island from the 24th to the 26th. My reservation was for after 10 PM on the 25th... The weather forecast showed clear skies on the 24th, heavy rain on the 25th, and since I would be leaving on the 26th, I contacted them on the day of arrival to see if I could change my plans to the 24th. They kindly accommodated my request, and I really appreciate it! Thanks to them, I was able to see an incredibly beautiful starry sky!

The location was a coastal parking lot. It was completely dark without any lights, and when I got out of the car and looked up at the sky, a stunning view of stars that I couldn't see in the city spread out before me, and I was moved! A photographer came and guided us to the coast for a photo shoot. They also asked about my preferences for silhouettes. After checking the images we took, the shoot wrapped up, and they taught my son how to use the camera and how to take photos with an iPhone, which made me very happy.

The next day, I received many images after corrections were made. The starry sky was far more beautiful than I had imagined, with stunning colors, resulting in breathtaking images. This will definitely be a cherished memory! Thank you very much.

24日〜26日にかけて宮古島へ行きました。
予約が25日の22時以降、、、
天気予報が24日が晴れ。25日大雨、26日は帰ってしまうので、ダメ元で24日に変更出来ないか、当日着いてから連絡をし、急遽予定を変更してもらいました。対応ありがとうございました！
そのおかげでめちゃくちゃ綺麗な星空を見る事ができました！

場所は海岸駐車場。電灯などもなく真っ暗で車から降りて空を見上げたら、市街地では見えなかった星空が広がっていて、そこで感動！！
カメラマンさんが来て、海岸の方へ誘導していただき撮影の打ち合わせ。
シルエットの希望なども聞いていただきました。
撮った画像の確認をして、撮影も終わり、iPhoneでの撮影の仕方、息子にカメラを使っての撮影方法なども教えてくださり、とても嬉しかったです。

翌日には補正なども終わりたくさんの画像が届きました。想像していた星空より遥かに越えて綺麗な色の星空で、感動的な画像になっていました。
これは思い出になりますねぇ！！

Unfortunately, due to the bad weather, we couldn't experience the stargazing night tour, but we had an amazing time on the jungle exploration tour. We encountered various creatures (such as coconut crabs, scorpions, and a coiled habu snake), and thanks to the guide's wealth of information, we were able to enjoy a wonderful time.

あいにくの天気で星空ナイトツアーは、体験できませんでしたが、ジャングル探検ツアーだけでも最高に楽しめました。
いろいろな生物（ヤシガニ、サソリ、トグロを巻いたハブなど）に出会え、説明してくださるガイドの方の豊富な情報により楽しい時間を過ごすことができました。

I participated with my child. The guide and the other participants were friendly and kind, creating a great atmosphere throughout the tour. Everyone was skilled at spotting things, and we were able to see many creatures, including the coconut crab that we wanted to see. My child was wide-eyed and very curious while watching. At one point, we emerged into the pitch-black sea, and I was amazed to see so many stars in the sky; it was truly moving.

It was a wonderful experience. My child is a bit timid, so I hesitated to sign up until the day of the tour, but I'm really glad I decided to participate.

ガイドさんも他の参加者の皆さんもフレンドリーで優しくて終始良い雰囲気のツアーでした。
みなさん見つけるのが上手で、虫や見たかったヤシガニなどたくさんの生きものを見ることができました。子供も目を輝かせて興味津々で見ていました。途中真っ暗な海に出たと思ったら空にびっくりするぐらいたくさんの星がでていて感動しました。
本当に素晴らしい経験ができました。
子供が怖がりなので当日まで申し込みを迷っていましたが、思い切って参加してみてよかったです。

It was a cloudy night, but it was unforgettable! Although I couldn't see many stars, the guide kindly said, "There are stars beyond the clouds," and it touched my heart. Even without the stars, there was still a sense of wonder.

曇りだったけど忘れられない夜だった！　星はあまり見えなかったけど、ガイドさんが「雲の向こうに星がいますよ」って優しく言ってくれて胸がじんとした。星はなくても感動があった。
