The stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) at Kabira Bay and snorkeling in the Blue Cave were canceled due to bad weather, so I participated in mangrove SUP instead... and it turned out to be so much fun! 🌿✨
It was my first time doing SUP, but the guide explained the tips clearly, and I was able to get on the board right away. During the experience, I learned interesting facts about the mangroves while relaxing and enjoying nature.
The guide also did a demonstration of a three-point handstand, which was amazing! 👏🏻
They took a lot of photos and videos, and it truly became a wonderful memory. 📸 I want to join again on a sunny day next time.

初めてのSUPでしたが、ガイドさんがコツをわかりやすく教えてくださって、すぐに乗れるようになりました。体験中はマングローブの豆知識も教えてもらいながら、自然の中でリラックスしながら楽しめました。

たくさん写真や動画も撮ってくださって、本当に良い思い出になりました📸次は天気のいい日にまた参加したいです。
初めての場合は落ちることもあるようなので、濡れた場合の準備(着替えやタオル等)はいるのかなーと思いました。

My first time on Iriomote Island and my first time with a water buffalo 🐃
The sea was very beautiful, and I was able to see sea turtles up close, which was amazing! The garlic shrimp I had at a place called "Shonen" in front of the ferry terminal on Iriomote Island was the best!

I participated with four friends! Two of us were experiencing marine activities for the first time, but the guides explained everything thoroughly, allowing us to enjoy ourselves with peace of mind.
During snorkeling, we encountered a sea turtle right at the beginning! It was amazing to swim alongside it. Our guide, Ryoma, provided detailed information about the fish and coral, making the experience even more enjoyable as we learned.
At Pumpkin Cave, we went kayaking to the cave. I wondered, "Can we really go that far?" but as we paddled, I became engrossed, and we arrived in no time. Inside, I was overwhelmed by the mystical stalactites, and the stories about Miyako Island's history were very interesting. Climbing using my whole body was tough, but it was rewarding and left a lasting impression on my trip!
During the SUP experience, I was worried about falling, but thanks to the careful instructions, everyone succeeded! Searching for sea glass on the beach was also fun and made for a lovely souvenir.
Every experience was truly enjoyable, and I’m grateful to our guide, Gen-chan, who kept us safe while always smiling and encouraging us. They took many photos, creating the best memories! I would definitely love to request their services again when I visit Miyako Island next time.

全身を使って登る体験は大変でしたが、その分達成感があり、旅の中で一番印象に残りました！
SUP体験では「落ちたらどうしよう…」と不安でしたが、丁寧なレクチャーでみんな無事成功！笑
上陸した浜でのシーグラス探しも楽しく、素敵なお土産になりました✨
どの体験も本当に楽しく、ガイドのげんちゃんが安全に気を配りながらも常に笑顔で盛り上げてくれて感謝です。

During snorkeling, I was taken care of by Ryoma at the Pumpkin Cave and Gen-chan at SAP. Both of them taught me a lot about Miyako Island, and I enjoyed the journey to the activity spots as well. Personally, I have the strongest memories of the Pumpkin Cave, which had a lot of activity elements and was also mystical and beautiful inside. I participated in snorkeling, the Pumpkin Cave, and SUP this time. Each activity was enhanced by the beautiful sky and sea of Miyako Island, creating a heightened sense of excitement! I felt like our blue was sandwiched between the blue of the sky and the blue of the sea, becoming one with Miyako Island. It was a wonderful experience, surrounded by such beautiful blue, and I truly enjoyed it.
The reason I could experience such rich and amazing activities was thanks to our guide, Gen-chan! He had a wonderful smile and a dandy beard, and his kindness and thoughtfulness shone through! I highly recommend that anyone participating in activities in the future ask for Gen-chan as their guide!

I participated in the Mangrove Canoe & Yubu Island sightseeing tour. Canoeing in the beautiful weather was truly refreshing, and just moving through nature was healing. Our female guide, Gin-chan, was fantastic, providing detailed information about the mangroves, terrain, and plants, allowing us to enjoy the scenery while listening to her explanations. After a lunch break, we rode a water buffalo cart to Yubu Island. We spent a relaxing time listening to the performance of the sanshin and singing, and the natural gelato on Yubu Island was exquisite! I had heard that the island had nothing to offer, but it was filled with natural attractions, and it was a fulfilling tour that left me wanting more time.

I was nervous about my first marine activity, but thanks to the kind and precise advice from "the dandy bearded guy with a wonderful smile," I was able to do well!!! The course was packed with snorkeling, canoeing, and stand-up paddleboarding all day long, and I had a great time and made wonderful memories!
Especially when I encountered a sea turtle while snorkeling and the impressive Pumpkin Cave we entered by canoe!
Also, when I looked back at the photos taken by the instructor later, I was really surprised at how well they turned out, haha. It was just one day, but I was taken care of during three different tours! Thank you so much! I will definitely come back!!!

This time, I participated in a half-day afternoon tour from Ishigaki Island, but the ferry to Uehara Port was canceled. The final travel method was to go from Ishigaki Island to Ohara Port, then take a bus to Uehara Port, and finally join the tour. I felt reassured after receiving explanations about the arrangements.
As for the tour itself, we went on a canoe tour as a family of four. I had some concerns with my 4-year-old and 6-year-old, but they had no problems and enjoyed themselves immensely. It was a healing time for both adults and children as we connected with nature. Our guide, Jun Sato, was always kind and encouraging, allowing us to enjoy the experience with peace of mind.
After the tour, we took a shower and felt refreshed. We were then transported back to the meeting point, concluding the day. We were even waved off until the bus departed, which made for a very satisfying half-day. The kids were so excited that they couldn't wait to go again on the way home.
10月24日、天気予報は気温28℃、天候は雨、雨量1ミリ、風速6メートル。風速1メートルあたり体感温度で１℃下がると言われていますが、全然半袖で行ける程度でした。
今回は石垣島からの日帰り半日、午後ツアー参加でしたが、目的地である上原港便が欠航でした。最終的な移動方法は、石垣島→大原港到着後、バスにて上原港へ移動、その後ツアー参加。と言った流れでしたが、事前の連絡で事細かに説明いただき、実は不安がありましたが、すんなり移動完了！
その辺りの説明も頂けて安心して参加することができました。
本題のツアーなのですが、家族4人でのカヌーツアー。4歳と6歳とで実は不安もありましたが、全く問題なく楽しむ事が出来ました。子供達も初めての経験に大興奮！笑顔とはしゃぐ声が絶えませんでした。マングローブの神秘的な世界と、そこに住む生き物達。大自然と触れ合った大人も子供も癒された時間でした。ガイドの佐藤潤さんもいつも優しく声を掛けてくれて、安心して楽しむ事が出来ました。
ツアー終了後はシャワーも浴びて、さっぱり。集合場所まで送迎して頂き終了。
最後はバスが出るまで手を振ってのお見送りまでしてもらえて大満足の半日でした。
子供もまた行きたいと大はしゃぎで帰路に着く事が出来ました。

Due to bad weather on the day, snorkeling was canceled, but I was able to choose between rescheduling or a free cancellation, so I opted to reschedule and only participated in the Pumpkin Cave that day. The wind was strong, but it added to the sense of adventure, and the cave was even more mystical than I had expected, which was moving. The next day it rained, but the wind had calmed down, so I was able to enjoy snorkeling and even took photos with the sea turtles. The staff were very helpful and taught us a lot, making it a really enjoyable experience.

The morning snorkeling was canceled due to bad weather. Feeling disappointed, we went on the canoe and pumpkin tour, which was definitely an experience unlike any other and was very enjoyable! My skin also became smooth.
When it became difficult to do stand-up paddleboarding due to strong winds, the staff adjusted things and mentioned that we might be able to snorkel after all. I was able to enjoy the snorkeling I had been looking forward to! We even encountered a sea turtle, making it a very fun tour!

We came to Miyako Island for our honeymoon and participated in activities.
In the morning, we went snorkeling. In the afternoon, we joined the Pumpkin Hall tour.
Although the weather was unfortunately drizzly, we saw two sea turtles and clownfish! The scenes we had seen in the aquarium were right in front of us! I participated in a plan that included a mangrove canoe experience and a tour of Yufu Island. On the day of the tour, I was worried about the weather and whether it would be held, but thanks to the guides, I was able to participate in the full-day tour without any issues.
It was my first time canoeing, but I felt reassured as they carefully explained how to paddle at the beginning. Paddling through the Nakama River surrounded by mangroves allowed me to truly feel the beauty of nature, and I was very satisfied. It was great that we could get off the canoe to observe the mangroves up close and take photos as well.
During the Yufu Island tour, I was able to leisurely cross the sea in a water buffalo cart while listening to the performance of the sanshin and singing. I also enjoyed taking commemorative photos with the water buffalo.

I was concerned about safety with children, but the guide was surprisingly attentive and supportive, which I truly appreciated. I was impressed by how thoroughly they took care of us as tourists. Even though it rained during the activities, we still had a great time and everyone was satisfied.

Previously, I participated in a kayak tour with the same company and had a wonderful time, so I was looking forward to joining the SUP tour this time. This time, we explored the mangroves of Iriomote Island on a SUP.
My friend who joined me couldn't speak Japanese, but the SUP guide was very attentive, so the language barrier was not an issue at all. Additionally, during the water buffalo experience, a guide named Matsuko prepared English materials, which made it easy for English speakers to understand the explanations, and I was really happy about that.
The mangroves we visited this time were in a different location than last time, and both the scenery and the experience exceeded my expectations. All the necessary equipment was prepared in advance, allowing the tour to proceed smoothly. We were also able to use a shower during the tour, and we had plenty of time for breaks and lunch.
Furthermore, we were given recommendations for nearby restaurants to stop by during our break, which saved us the trouble of searching for them ourselves. Yubu Island is a small, beautiful island, and we were able to enjoy it thoroughly even within the limited time. The experience with the water buffalo cart and the performance of the sanshin left a particularly strong impression on me.
Next time I visit Iriomote Island, I definitely want to use this tour company again.

今回訪れたマングローブは前回とは違う場所で、景色も体験も期待以上に素晴らしかったです。必要な道具はすべて事前に準備されていて、スムーズにツアーが進行しました。ツアーの途中でシャワーを使うこともでき、休憩やランチの時間も十分に取ってもらえました。
さらに、休憩中に立ち寄れるおすすめの飲食店を教えてもらえたので、自分たちで探す手間が省けて助かりました。由布島は小さな美しい島で、限られた時間の中でも十分に楽しむことができました。水牛車の体験と三線の演奏は特に印象に残っています。
次回西表島に訪れる際も、ぜひこのツアー会社を利用したいと思います。

As I paddled the canoe and felt the wind, the fatigue of everyday life seemed to fade away.

I was overwhelmed by the large mangroves! The explanations from our instructor, Seichan, were really interesting. Learning about the plants and creatures that live in the brackish water was incredibly educational. Kayaking through the great outdoors while thinking about how these species have adapted over many years was an invaluable experience. I signed up for the Adventure PiPi's Pumpkin Cave & Sea Kayaking + Beach SUP & Sea Turtle Snorkeling👍
I met Soma Kajita, also known as Soma Muscle😀
He was a friendly and cheerful person.
He conveyed the importance of safety and environmental protection during the activities, which was very impressive👍
He also shared a lot of knowledge about the Ryukyu Kingdom era and provided explanations inside the Pumpkin Cave, making it a great learning experience😲
Now, moving on to my experience with the activities.
Kayaking to the Pumpkin Cave while enjoying the beautiful sea was quite refreshing🚣.
The moment I saw the pumpkin (Pumpkin~), I screamed in excitement.
You'll understand once you go, haha!
I was moved by the mysteries of nature.
I climbed the pumpkin and went further in to greet the gods.
Diving down from the top of the pumpkin was the best🤸.
In the afternoon, we moved on to SUP. Unlike the mangrove SUP in Ishigaki Island, the open sea had waves and was challenging.
The bay was calm, and I enjoyed it🏄.
Soma Muscle was doing a handstand on the SUP, which was amazing😱.
Next, we moved on to snorkeling.
This was a revenge snorkel for not seeing sea turtles at Tokashiki Island🐢.
This time, I was able to see them up close, which was touching🥲.
I even got a three-shot photo with Soma Muscle😆.
The photo of everyone holding hands in a circle was also great.
We took many photos and videos of the four activities, which became wonderful souvenirs✨.
It was truly a premium activity😊.

The weather was wonderful, and it felt really nice. I highly recommend this place for those who want to experience something extraordinary in a jungle that feels like dinosaurs might appear! As an adult, I’ve found that I don’t get to let loose as much anymore, but I had a great time climbing and jumping around. I was quite nervous about the jumps, but the instructor, Koma-chan, really encouraged and cheered me on, so I managed to do it! I couldn’t bring my own camera for safety reasons, but the instructor took photos for us, which was great for capturing memories.

恐竜が出てきそうな雰囲気のジャングルで、非日常を味わいたい方に大変おすすめです！
大人になってから全力ではしゃぐことも減っていましたが、登ったり、飛び込んだりと、すごく楽しかったです。
飛び込みはかなりビビっていたのですが、インストラクターのコマちゃんが盛り上げたり、励ましたりしてくれて、なんとかできました笑
自分のカメラなどは安全上の問題で持っていけないのですが、インストラクターの方が撮ってくださって、思い出も残せるので大変良かったです。

I made a premium reservation for kayaking, snorkeling with sea turtles, and cabin stay! Since it was my first trip to Miyako Island, I was unsure about what to do, so I chose to "buy time and experience with money." I thought, "About 20,000 yen per person for a family of four, totaling 80,000 yen..." but I pressed the reservation confirmation button, and the result was "the best♡"!
The guide, "Kazukun with the smile," was incredibly handsome, super friendly, and a working holiday experience holder who spoke fluent English! My children quickly warmed up to him, which made me feel at ease.
During the sea turtle snorkeling, the guides shared information about where the sea turtles were located, working together to ensure we could see them. Their strong desire to show the customers the sea turtles really came through. The sea was a bit murky this time, making it difficult to get shots like in the advertisements (laughs), but I truly believe it was a great experience for the kids. Next time, I definitely want shots of snorkeling with sea turtles like in the ads (laughs).

My first time in Miyako Island, and I was looking forward to the Pumpkin Cave. It was a bit tough to climb, but it was amazing. I managed to take the final jump with determination. During the snorkeling afterward, I was lucky enough to see two turtles! Thanks to Kyo-chan's youth and energy, I enjoyed every moment until the end.
初の宮古島で、楽しみにしていたパンプキン洞窟。登る時は少しキツかったけど最高でした。最後のジャンプは思い切って行けました。その後のシュノーケリングではまさかの亀が2匹も登場する僥倖！きょうちゃんの若さとパワーで最後まで楽しませてもらいました。

Since we weren't sure about the weather, we made a reservation the night before, but on the day of the tour, everything was handled efficiently. The instructor was a lovely person with a sun-kissed tan and a great smile. They were knowledgeable about the mangroves of Iriomote Island, sharing interesting facts like encountering crabs and how the mangrove leaves tasted salty. Although we had limited time for canoeing, it was a fun tour! Thank you very much!!
