I was able to feel a mystical world in the Gangala Valley.
The guide provided kind explanations and lent us cold Sanpin tea in a water bottle and insect repellent spray before we set off. During this season, it gets quite humid, so bringing a towel and staying hydrated is essential. I was sweating even while listening to the explanations. You can't buy drinks or anything during the tour. Also, it was a shame that we didn't have time to stop by the café at the entrance since we were exploring until just before the meeting time.

I participated with my elderly parents. It was helpful that the tour started and ended in Naha City. I was glad to finally visit Cape Hedo and Daichi Forest, and to meet Kuta-kun, the Okinawa rail! The tour was the day after the rainy season ended, so it was sunny and hot, but the bus travel made it comfortable!

We toured from the hotel in Onna Village to Kouri Island → Nakijin Castle Ruins → Bise Fukugi Tree Lane → Churaumi Aquarium (a 7-hour course). Thanks to the driver's advice, we were able to stop at photo spots and take pictures, which was really great. At the sightseeing locations, he would say things like, "You should check this out!" which made for a very satisfying tour. When I requested to stop by a supermarket on the way back, he looked it up and took me there. Unfortunately, the supermarket was closed that day, but he kindly took us to the Michi no Eki Kyoda instead, where we could buy souvenirs and local ingredients, which was very much appreciated.
恩納村のホテルから古宇利島→今帰仁城跡→備瀬のフクギ並木→美ら海水族館を観光しました。（7時間コース）運転手さんのアドバイスで写真スポットでわざわざ車を止めて頂き、写真を撮る事が出来とても、良かったです。観光場所でも、こういうのがあるから見たら良いよ！とか言ってくれて、とても満足がいく観光ができました。帰りにスーパーに寄ってほしいとお願いしたら、調べてくれて行ってくれました。スーパーは、残念ながらその日は、やってなかったんですが、急きょ道の駅 許田に寄ってくれて、お土産や地元の食材を購入でき、これまたとてもありがたかったです。

The lunch bento was also a great value, allowing us to enjoy Okinawan ingredients. However, I was a bit disappointed that the mangrove tour lacked variety and felt very long and boring. I found a half-day tour departing from Naha Airport at 2 PM and booked it immediately. There were some troubles on the day, which made me anxious, but they kindly assisted me, and I was able to participate without any issues. The Kariyushi Aquarium was beautiful and fun, and both Umikaji Terrace and American Village had stunning seas and plenty of delicious food, which left me very satisfied. Above all, the guide and the driver were very kind, which was heartwarming. The guide's stories about the base, Okinawa's flowers, and local specialties were truly enjoyable! This experience for the price was a great deal. Since there were still not many people around, I hope that Okinawa returns to its usual bustling atmosphere as soon as possible. On the last day, I wanted to efficiently enjoy sightseeing, so I signed up for the "Sefa Utaki + Gangala Valley" course. At Sefa Utaki, the guide provided explanations before our arrival, which was helpful when we actually explored the site. Gangala Valley offers a variety of plants and rare insects, and you can enjoy an adventurous experience by wandering through the caves with a lantern and taking in the views from the tree terrace. I was able to enjoy it more than I had expected. It was also nice to be dropped off at the airport at the end. Since you'll be walking outside, I think it's a good idea to prepare a change of clothes, especially if you're heading straight to the airport on the last day.

It happened to be a day of high tide, so we were able to take a route on the Nakama River cruise that usually cannot be accessed due to low water levels, allowing us to see mangroves that can only be found there. 旅行最終日が19時頃の飛行機だったので半日を有効活用したいと思い、二日前に予約を取りました。ちょうど大潮の日の満潮時だったので仲間川のクルーズでは普段水位が足りなくて通ることができないコースを通ることができ、そこでしか見られないマングローブを見ることができました。ただ、水位が高過ぎてマングローブの特徴である根っ子はほぼ水没していました。マングローブのジャングルらしさを味わうなら干潮時の方がいいような気がします。私達はボート右側に座ったのですが、ボートは左岸に沿って川を遡ったので左側に座れば良かったと思いました。（これも水位によって航行ルートが変わるので一概には言えませんが）
由布島では昼食を含めて90分の自由時間がありました。島全体は1時間もかからずに一周できるので時間は充分です。帰りは竹富島経由なので時間に余裕があるなら竹富島で降りて、レンタサイクルや牛車で島を観光することをお勧めします。由布島で牛車に乗れるので、個人的にはレンタサイクルでコンドイ浜やカイジ浜を回るのが良いかと。
次回は西表島に宿泊してもっと島内のアクティビティを楽しみたいです。

I was unsure about touring the northern area by rental car since I'm not good at driving, but I found a bus tour to the area I wanted to visit and decided to sign up. It turned out to be a great decision as it was very comfortable.
We were able to visit various places, and the admission fee to the Churaumi Aquarium was included in the price, making it a great deal. I enjoyed the scenery much more than I would have while nervously driving a rental car. The guide and the driver were both kind, and I'm glad I signed up!

Despite the rainy season weather making the local sightseeing slippery and difficult to walk, both the bus guide and the bus driver were considerate, and their desire for us participants to have a comfortable experience was very evident.
