Due to the wind, we couldn't go to the Blue Cave, but we were taken to another spot. There were many tropical fish near the coral, and it was a great experience to see fish up close that you usually see in an aquarium! I even encountered a large sea turtle that I had never seen before; according to the guide, you only get to see one about once in every 20 times. I used it in December 2024. After purchasing, I mistakenly issued tickets for the Churaumi Aquarium in late November. Tickets should not be issued later than 10 days before the visit, or else the validity date will expire before the visit, rendering the tickets invalid. I contacted the travel agency in Taiwan via email to request a new FunPASS, which caused some trouble, but there was someone at the Taiwanese travel agency who spoke Japanese well and responded very politely.

If used properly, it can be a bit cheaper than purchasing tickets separately for each location. However, since the places to visit are spread out across Okinawa Main Island, I recommend planning ahead to use it effectively. For example, deciding which locations to stop by in the FunPASS for the day.

I also visited a gelato shop inside Aeon, and they were well aware of the FunPASS, so I had no issues using it anywhere.

イオンの中のジェラート屋さんにも行きましたが、ちゃんとFunPASSの事を知ってて、どこでも全く問題なく使えます。

The pre-activity lecture was thorough, and we were able to take photos with the mangroves in the background before we got too tired. Afterward, I accidentally fell in and got soaked, so I was really grateful to have a nice memory photo in good condition... (laughs)

They teach you how to ride, paddle, and stand not only during the initial lecture but also with ongoing guidance! My mother said before the experience that she "absolutely couldn't stand," but surprisingly, she was able to stand quite easily. After declaring that she was prepared to fall, she was even taught some fun challenges like jumping on the board and standing on one leg!

During the tour, we learned about the mangroves and the nature of Ishigaki Island at various points, and I was very satisfied not only with the fun of the SUP experience but also with the knowledge I was able to take home. We got to take a lot of photos! The moment I stood up for the first time, with my awkward stance, was perfectly captured, and it was moving＾＾

In early January, the weather was cloudy and windy, so it felt quite chilly at first. 乗り方、漕ぎ方、立ち方も初めのレクチャーに加えて随時声かけで教えてくれます！母は体験前は「絶対に立てない」と言っていましたが、案外すんなりと立つことができていました。落ちる覚悟で色々準備してきたと宣言したところ、ボードの上でのジャンプや片足立ちなどちょっとしたチャレンジも教えてもらえました！

ツアー中、随所でマングローブや石垣島の自然について教えていただけて、SUPを体験できた楽しさだけでなく色々な知識を持って帰れて大満足です。写真たくさん撮ってもらえました！初めて立った瞬間のへっぴり腰の写真もバッチリ残ってて感動です＾＾
1月初旬、天気は曇りで風があったのではじめは割と肌寒く感じました。それでも水着に加え長袖のジャージで臨めば、たくさん動くのもあって途中からはとくに気にならなかったです。ただ落ちて濡れるとさすがに寒い！！万が一のために&全力で楽しむために冬季の体験では着替えと大きいタオルを持参しておくのを強くお勧めします…！

めちゃくちゃ楽しかったので川平湾でもSUPしてみたいなと思いました！素敵な思い出をありがとうございました！

前日から軽い雨で、ツアー当日の朝まで雨でしたが、午前のsupには特に支障はなく、午後からはそこそこ晴れたのでシュノーケリングも問題なく参加する事が出来ました。
(青の洞窟のツアーでしたが、天候の都合で別ポイントでのシュノーケリングとなりました。)

supは木村さんというインストラクターさんで、元気に教えて頂きました。

マングローブでのsup、最初は落ちたくない緊張感がありましたが途中から慣れてきて景色に集中できるようになりました。
(立つのが怖い人はあぐら状態で漕ぐと安定していて楽かもです。ただ立つほうがめっちゃ楽しいです！彼女は最後に落ちましたが)

基本落ちなければ濡れるのも足とお尻ぐらいなので気楽に楽しめるし、今度は海でやりたいと思いました。

お昼に離島ターミナルで1度解散し、木村さんオススメのバニラデリというハンバーガー屋で石垣牛ハンバーガーを食べました。

注文したのはオススメされたアボカドわさびソースバーガーのパテダブル。石垣牛という事もあり少しお値段はしますが、パテのミンチがゴロゴロと肉感が強く、甘いタレとわさびソースの相性も抜群でとても美味しかったです。

再び離島ターミナルで集合して、後半のシュノーケリングへ。

担当してくれたのはセバスチャンさん。
この方もとても明るく、接しやすい方で、また、参加者全員への気配りが丁寧な方でした。

彼女は酔いやすい体質なので、ツアー途中少しだけ波に酔う事もありましたが、素早く気付いてもらえ、的確に対処してもらえたのですぐ回復し、続行できました。

天候の影響で完璧な視界や魚たちの状態ではなかったかもしれませんが、夏でも冬でも天候の運はありますし、十分に楽しむ事ができました。

セバスチャンさんからは夜の飲食のおすすめ店をたくさん教えてもらいました。どこも知らない所で、とりあえず早速予約しました。

帰りはホテルまで送ってもらい、塩を流して一眠りし、美味い酒と飯へ…。涼しい石垣島のクリスマス、めっちゃ良いです。

次も閑散期を狙って、後は天候を神様に願い、今度こそ青の洞に行けたら、と思います。
