We took the ferry that departed Ishigaki Port at 10:45 and returned from Taketomi Island at 14:10, but the popular restaurants were crowded, and we didn't have enough time to get in. The roads are sandy and there are many hills, so it can be a bit challenging for those who are not used to riding bicycles. On sunny days, I think it’s a good idea to have sunglasses and a hat.

Since I was traveling with my child, I chose this tour for its ease of movement and the opportunity to see various sights.

In the morning, we had a bus tour of Ishigaki Island. The stories from our veteran bus guide, Sunakawa, were entertaining, filled with songs and laughter, making the journey completely enjoyable. There were many solo participants, but thanks to Sunakawa's engaging talk, the atmosphere remained pleasant throughout.

The transparency of the glass-bottom boat in Kabira Bay was also amazing (though I did get a bit seasick if I wasn't careful). I heard that a sea turtle had come into the bay that day, but it was disappointing that we didn't get to see it. (Lunch was not included for my son, but it was possible to order on-site.)

In the afternoon, the ox cart ride on Taketomi Island was fun as well. I had visited Taketomi Island the day before and rode a bicycle, but I couldn't go fast and got quite tired, so I highly recommend the ox cart tour. After the ox cart ride, we had about an hour and a half of free time, during which we walked to Nishizaki Pier and relaxed.

It was a fulfilling tour that was worth more than the price!

ベテランバスガイドの砂川さんのお話が面白く、唄もあり、笑いもあり全く道中飽きませんでした。

川平湾のグラスボートの透明度も素晴らしかったです（油断したら船酔いしましたが）。
当日海亀が湾内に入ってきていたとの事でしたが、会えなくて残念でした。
（昼食は息子の分はつかないのですが、現地でオー
ダー可能でした）

午後の竹富島の牛車も、楽しかったです。
前日も竹富島に行って、自転車に乗ったのですがスピードが出せなくてかなり疲れたので牛車観光はおススメです。
牛車観光が終わり、1時間半くらいフリータイムがあり西桟橋まで歩いてのんびり過ごしました。
お値段以上に充実したツアーでした！

I had initially planned an extra day in Ishigaki Island for another tour, but since the tour I was aiming for went ahead as scheduled, I found myself wondering what to do for another day in Ishigaki. I ended up signing up for a tour the morning before, and it turned out to be quite fulfilling! We were introduced to the famous spots of Ishigaki Island with explanations from the bus guide, and most importantly, I enjoyed riding the water buffalo cart on Taketomi Island, feeling like I had time-traveled back to the old Okinawa islands. I'm glad I signed up for it.

However, be prepared for a lot of photos being taken by the participants of the walking tour on Taketomi Island along the way. (Laughs)

Most of the people who joined the tour had only signed up for a round trip around Ishigaki Island, and either got off the bus at the airport on the way back or returned to the bus terminal but were unsure of what to do next since it was still around 2 PM. Meanwhile, I enjoyed Taketomi Island all by myself at a reasonable price.

Next time, I think I will stay overnight on Taketomi Island. Thank you very much.

予定通りにお目当てツアーは実施されたため、さて、もう一日石垣島でどうしよう？と、
急遽前日朝に申し込んだのですが、これがなかなか充実していました！
石垣島の名所をバスガイドさんの解説付きで紹介していただき、
何よりその後の竹富島の水牛車に乗り、昔にタイムスリップしたような沖縄の離島を楽しめて、
申し込んどいて良かったです。

しかし、他の竹富島を徒歩ツアーの方々から、道中、無茶苦茶写真撮られますので覚悟しといてください。（笑）

ツアーで一緒になったほとんどの方々は石垣島1周のみの申し込みで、
途中の空港でバスを降りて帰途につかれたか、あるいは、
バスターミナルに戻ったものの、まだ14時頃でこの後どうしよう？と困っていらっしゃいましたが、私は一人、お値段もお安く竹富島も楽しんでしまいました。

今度は竹富島に宿泊しようと思います。

I wanted to leave Taketomi Island in time for the hotel shuttle from Ishigaki Port, so I had plenty of time left and decided to go cycling at the last minute. I had two small children with me, but it was fine. The sea was incredibly beautiful and soothing.

Mangrove viewing in Iriomote Island? Unfortunately, it was rainy. It was a morning tour, but the tide was a bit low. If you want to see the mangrove roots clearly, it might be better to go a little later. I think it varies by season, so it might be good to check in advance. I was glad to see the large tree (maybe a mangrove?) at a power spot we visited during the tour.

The water buffalo cart ride to Yubu Island was fun. I was surprised that there was a bathroom break for the buffalo along the way, but it added to the relaxed atmosphere.

The botanical garden on Yubu Island had heavy rain, which was a bit disappointing, but on the plus side, it was quiet with fewer people. However, I wished I had worn waterproof shoes since the ground was muddy.

For lunch, we had a bento box of Okinawan local cuisine. It was delicious.

由布島までの水牛車乗車は楽しかったです。途中、水牛自身のトイレタイムもあったりしたのにはびっくりでしたが、それを含めのんびりした雰囲気を味わえました。
由布島の植物園は大ぶりの雨になりちょっと残念でしたが、その分人が少なく静かな雰囲気でよかったかも。ただ足元がぬかるんでいるのではっ水の靴にすればよかったと思いました。
昼食は沖縄の郷土料理のお弁当。おいしかったです。
竹富島ではサイクリング。この時には雨も上がり、星砂の海岸では日差しが暑かったです。10月でしたが肌に刺さる感じでした。暑かったのでレンタサイクルやさんから5分くらい先のカフェでソフトクリームを食べましたが、濃厚でおいしかったです。
